MIRPURKHAS Feb 24. Hundreds of workers and office bearers of PPP city and district Mirpurkhas took out rally here on Wednesday from railway station chowk to express solidarity with president Asif Ali Zardari and demanding the provincial president PPP to reinstate workers leader Tharo Khan Panhwer at his office general secretary district Mirpurkhas. Participators led by Yaseen Ghori, president PPP city Mirpurkhas, carried banners and placards, marched through main roads and reached at local press club where speaking at the protestors city president Malik Yaseen Ghori, city president ladies wing Fatima Baloch, Zakir Hussain, Nawab Qureshi and Syed Zahir Shah  have said that their party government will complete its tenure despite conspiracies and said that PPP mass campaign has been launched for coming local body election and hoped that their party will get success in the election massively. They congratulated to President Asif Ali Zardari for taking in confidence to the Sindh government for holding local body election in the province. They deplored that due to suspension of district general secretary Tharo Khan Panhwer party working and mass campaign is adversely affecting. They demanded the president PPP Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take notice and ensure immediate reinstating of Tharo Khan Panhwer at his office sothat PPP mass contact might get momentum and we would get big success in the local body election. Those also spoke Abdul Waheed Memon, Niaz Pathan and Syed Zahir Shah. 

MIRPURKHAS Feb 24. Hundreds of government employees of different government department including lower staff under the banner of All Pakistan clerks association APCA Mirpurkhas have taken out protest rally here on Wednesday from taluka school to local press club , while they have observed also pen down strike demanding the government to increase their salaries and provide them facilities. Protesters belong to Mirpurkhas,Umerkot,Tharparkar and Sanghar led by provincial president APCA Zulfikar Shaikh and district president Ghulam Rasool Shar, carried banners and placards marched through main roads. Leaders speaking at the protesters demanded the government to control immediately increasing price hike sothat common people could not received sticks of police by standing in queries or lines. They urged the government to give Eid bonus to government employees on occasion of Eid and cooperative allowance. They demanded the government to provide corporation allowances to employees of district Mirpurkhas like employees of district Larkana. They demanded the government to confirm all the contract employees of Sindh, fixed at least salary RS 6000 for all small employees and increased salaries of government employees with 200 percentage of price hike. Those also spoke Bachomal, Rasheed and Rafique. 

MIRPURKHAS Feb 24. DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon has directed the concerned revenue officers to remove all the illegal encroachments from the government lands and nobody will be allowed to occupy the government land. He was presiding over a meeting held here on Tuesday that was attended by DDO revenue taluka Mirpurkhas Ammara Aamir Khatak, DDO taluka Hussain Bux Mari Zulfikar Khushak, DDO revenue Sindhri Abdul Hafeez Leghari, SPO city Mohammad Ayub Dars, Inspector of works railway department Mohammad yaseen Leghari, officers of highway and irrigation department etc. He strictly directed the railway officers to remove all the illegal encroachments from railway department lands and did not allow anybody to occupy the government land. He directed the concerned offices to cancel all the fake NOCs had been issued to land mafia if pointed out. He directed the officers to issue three days notices to illegal encroachers and then remove the illegal encroachments and asked also the officers to lodge the cases against illegal encroachers with concerned police station sothat nobody could occupy the government lands.
 
MIRPURKHAS Feb 24. A married woman was kidnapped by his ex husband near village Nandani, taluka Kot Ghulam Mohammad on Wednesday. Mohammad Qasim, complainant has lodged the case under section 365, 341, 337A (i), 504 and 34 PPC with Kot Ghulam Mohammad, accusing that he along with his wife Ms Zareena was going to village Nandani on their bike that armed persons Pandi Khan, ex husband of his wife, Wali Mohammad, Bachayo and Dildar intercepted them and beated him even tied his hands with rope and kidnapped his wife Ms Zareena. However no arresting of the accused was yet made till filing of the news.

MIRPURKHAS Feb 23.Government public analyst food analysis laboratory Hyderabad has issued the suspicious analysis report of samples of wheat grains that had been taken by the official of district food controller office Mirpurkhas during the raid of special magistrate and DDO revenue taluka Mirpurkhas in which stated that foreign food grains (rice) 2.990 percent and insected grain 4.702 percent was found in the samples of wheat grains. Report claimed that wheat grains conform to the standard of wheat grains of Sindh pure food rules 1965. The raid was conducted at the Chundija roller flour mill on the complaint some weeks back. The result of analysis of wheat grains was strange for local journalists as uncrushed and semi crushed rice and wheat mixed samples were taken from the grinding machine and media personnel being a witness the samples contain more than 40 to 50 percent rice mixed with wheat. Samples were taken on the spot during raid of special magistrate and DDO revenue taluka Mirpurkhas Ammara Aamir Khatak in the Chundija roller flour mills. Special magistrate asked to manager of the above mill regarding the presence of rice bags in thousands in premises of the mill , manager told that his mill has rice trade licence but failed to produce the rice trade licence on the spot to special magistrate, while raiding officer in presence of media men  had also found separate installation of grinding of rice in a separate portion behind the back wall and there was also found over 2000 bags of sub standard rice lying there and about 500 wheat bags lying in the mill. Sources said that samples taken by food department were sent along with names of the flour mill to analysis laboratory as the analysis report of laboratory of Hyderabad has showed the name of the flour mill while sources added that official samples analysis work was made secretly as without any identification of the institute samples were sent to the laboratory. When contacted DDO revenue taluka Mirpurkhas Ammara Aamir Khatak said that she is not satisfied with this report of laboratory and said that she is considering sending this matter to DCO Mirpurkhas for taking further legal step.  When contacted Nasrullah Chandio, district food controller Mirpurkhas said that he had been issued show cause notice to Chundija roller flour mill after this raid . When asked him about weather separate installation of grinding of rice  is legal or not in the flour mill , he said that separate installation of grinding of rice was illegal , however that mill could placed the rice bags in its premises owing to having trade licence. Besides, social worker Kamran Kaim Khani has strongly condemned the wheat grains samples analysis report of laboratory of Hyderabad and termed it tempered report. In a press statement he said that local newsmen were the witnesses of raids, finding and taking samples and separate installation of mixing of rice. He further said that citizens are not satisfied of this report and demanded the DCO Mirpurkhas to conduct the raid at Chundija roller flour mill and sent secretly those samples had been taken by raiding officer for analyzing to the Karachi laboratory sothat correct analysis of the samples might be made.

MIRPURKHAS Feb 23. Incharge Muttehda Quami Movement Mirpurkhas zone Azeem Danish has said that workers of Muttehda had been changed Mirpurkhas city into a developed city following receiving the municipal responsibilities and added that in future also they would pay their responsibilities according to vision of their leader Altaf Hussain. He was speaking at the farewell reception given in the honour of Haq Parast taluka Nazim Mirpurkhas Ghulam Dastageer Khan, Zila Naib Nazim Dr Zafar Ahmed Kamali, taluka naib Nazim Shafique Ahmed , naims union councils, naib nazims , members taluka and district councils Mirpurkhas held here on Tuesday at local zonal office. On this occasion MPA Faheem Altafi, joint incharges Mohammad Arif, Khalid Majeed, members zonal committee and workers were also present. Azeem Danish further said that there is no example to more than development work made in the city Mirpurkhas and district despite having short resources to Haq Parast municipal leadership and said that local masses are the witness of more than development work. He said that MQM has strict accountability system as result masses are believed on MQM and its leadership. Taluka nazim Ghulam Dastageer Khan said that we thanked of all mighty Allah as we achieved the task given them by leader Altaf Hussain. He said that city in dilapidated condition was met to Haq Parast leadership but after 4 years day night hardworking changed the map of the city and citizens are getting facilities of asphalt roads, modern street lights, water supply and sewerage system and parks.
 
MIRPURKHAS Feb 23. PPP city president Mirpurkhas ladies wing Fatima Baloch, Jani Lodho, Ameer Bux Baloch and others have congratulated the local leader Hari Ram Kishori Lal for making member of PPP central executive committee. In a joint press statement here on Tuesday, they said that after making his member of PPP CEC workers and office bearers have expressed their happiness.

MIRPURKHAS Feb 17. At least 58 suspected arms licenses were issued on the base of fake verification report of police, special branch and licence branch in the district while documents of verification of 2 licenses were found fake. On the complaint of joint inquiry report fraud case has been lodged with Town police station on behalf of state against the Ibrahim Khoso, junior clerk of licence branch of DCO office Mirpurkhas and Mohammad Haneef, constable of police line Mirpurkhas while town police have rounded up them in raids, here on Wednesday. Speaking at the hurriedly called joint press conference at DCO office , DCO Ghulam Hussain Memon and DPO Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Shaikh told that they had received the report regarding suspected verification documents of special branch , police and DCO office regarding Najaf Ali Leghari, who had criminal record after which immediately a joint inquiry committee was constituted comprising DDO coordination Abdul Hafeez Leghari, DSP headquarter Mehboob Baloch and group officer special branch Mirpurkhas that initiated inquiry into this matter and found suspected documents of verification of 58 licenses while the team confirmed the issuance of 2 licenses on the base of fake verification documents of letters of DCO office, DPO office and special branch. They said that inquiry was continued and said that a private contractor Shahji was fixed the fake stamps and stamps papers of the verification documents. They claimed that a gang is involved in this matter and now during police interrogation, other involved persons would be arrested on the base of statements of nabbed two accused. They said that this gang has been making this offence or forgery since 6 months. They further said that gangsters were received RS 3000 to 5000 per licence for early verification process of the arms licenses.
 
MIRPURKHAS Feb 17. DDO revenue taluka Mirpurkhas has paid surprise visit at Utility store situated at Hirabad here on Wednesday and found that store incharge was selling the sugar at the price of RS 100 per 2 kilogrammes while the official amount is RS 94 per 2 kilogrammes. She also took comments of the gathered buyers and store incharge. When contacted DDO revenue taluka Mirpurkhas Ammara Aamir Khatak told that above store incharge of Utility store Hirabad was selling sugar at the high rate on which she has fined RS 5000 on the store incharge while she has been issued also warning to incharge of regional Utility office Mirpurkhas. 

MIRPURKHAS Feb 17. At least 9 persons were injured when a speedy Shehzoor pickup turned turtle at Sindhri road near Mirpurkhas here on Wednesday. Report said that a Shehzoor pickup was going in speedy that suddenly its driver lost the control as result it was turned turtle leaving 9 persons injured identified as Nawaz, Hazoor Bux, Rustam Mohammad Safeer, Mohammad Aachar, Khair Mohammad, Mohammad Talib, Waheed Ali, Bux Ali and driver Shakeel. 
   
MIRPURKHAS Feb 17. Dozens of office bearers and workers of Muslim students’ federation and Muslim league functional labour wing  have held protest demonstration here on Wednesday outside the local press club to protest against the insulting of Photos of Pir Sadruddin Shah Rashdi, president PML(functional) Sindh and removing of party flags at Tando Ghulam Ali town . Carrying banners and placards they demanded the government to take strict notice and punish exemplary to those involved in this affair. Speaking at the protesters Abid Rajput, Ghulam Nabi Mangrio, Mir Nawaz Baloch and Ghulam Rasool Halepota accused that those were involved in insulting of the photos of above leaders are enemy of Sindh province. They said that conspiracies are being hatched to damage the peace of Sindh by creating dispute among the workers and office bearers of different political parties. They urged the government to ensure immediate legal action against the involved culprits without any discrimination.

MIRPURKHAS Feb 17. Additional sessions Judge Mirpurkhas 1, has ordered to set free to 17 bonded labours including women and children following recording their statements here on Wednesday. Report said that Manji Bheel had been submitted the application to the court of district and sessions court Mirpurkhas stated that 17 bonded labours were forced to take labour works at the lands of Rasheed Khanzada in Deh 308-A taluka Kot Ghulam Mohammad while they were not allowed to move freely and requested to order the concerned police to recover them. Court ordered to SHO Kot Ghulam Mohammad in this regard, while KGM police carried out raid at the land of Rasheed Khanzada and recovered the 17 bonded labours. On Wednesday, police produced them in the court of additional sessions Judge Mirpurkhas. Affected recovered bonded labours including Lakhano Bheel , Shremti Pathani, Arif Bheel and others told the newsmen that they were detained at the land of above landlord while forced labour work was being taken from them there even they were not allowed to go to their relatives.      
MIRPURKHAS Feb 16. Protest rally took out by Jeay Sindh Muttehda Mahaz Mirpurkhas here on Tuesday from station chowk to protest against arresting of its leader Sattar Kalhoro. Protesters carried banners and placards marched through main roads and arrived at local press club. Speaking at the protesters leader Riaz Leghari, Khuda Bux Chohan and others strongly condemned of nabbing of Sattar Kalhoro and demanded the government to release him immediately otherwise protest campaign will be launched through province.
 
MIRPURKHAS Feb 16. Ameer Jamat e Islami Mirpurkhas Lala Noor Mohammad has strongly condemned the bombing of Pak Army at the house of Haroon ur Rasheed , ex MNA and Ameer JI NWFP in which his mother and sister’s daughter were martyrds. He was speaking at a protest demonstration of Jamat e Islami held here on Tuesday at local press club. He said that USA is using Pak Army to kill it’s people after given some dollars. He accused that innocent people were being killed by Pak Army to pay character of hire military. . He demanded the government to release immediately the detained brother of above leader Haroon ur Rasheed and his two nephews who are still in custody of Pak Army.
  
MIRPURKHAS Feb 16. DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon has paid rich tribute to Abdul Majeed Hur, ex EDO education Mirpurkhas and termed him historical personality who services whole life for providing education to poors of Sindh province. He was speaking at the farewell party of Abdul Majeed Hur, who had been transferred to district Dadu, given in his honour at circuit house on Monday night. He said that 424 schools were closed when Abdul Majeed Hur had taken charge over as EDO education Mirpurkhas , while he was directed by provincial minister for education to reopen those closed schools and given him full powers as result he work hard and succeeded to reopen 415 schools in the district within some months time. DPO Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Shaikh also paid tribute to spread light of knowledge in the district. EDO health and EDO finance also paid him rich tribute to his services for downtrodden people. Abdul Majeed Hur said that as he took over the charge as EDO education Dadu known that educational condition is in very bad shape there and there is need of hardworking because 60 schools are lying closed in Dadu district. He hoped that owing to his hardworking he will get success to open those closed schools by providing there teachers and other basic facilities and for this purpose he will request the minister for education to provide him full power and facilities to bring better changes in education sector there. He thanked of all the officers particularly DCO Mirpurkhas for his support to reopen closed schools in the district Mirpurkhas. 
 
MIRPURKHAS Feb 16. District officer poultry development Mirpukrhas Dr Abdul Aziz Khan has strictly directed the owners of poultry farms , poultry dealers and chicken sellers not to throw died chicken hens outside the farm or streets because of in such condition expected to be spread diseases in Poultry farms . According to a handout issued here on Tuesday. He asked to remove died chicken through correct procedure and buried them in deep ditches. He said that vaccine according to schedule be provided on the farms,  implementing on bio security care of cleanliness at farms  and added that legal action will be taken against those violated the directives. 
MIRPURKHAS Feb 16. At least seventy 70 abadgars and growers have been booked by Kot Ghulam Mohammad police on Tuesday in charges of breaking the gate of Feeder Shakh, issuing threats of dire consequences, interference in government duty etc. Feeder Shakh was fed by Jamrao canal. Darogah of irrigation department Yousuf Khosa has lodged the case under section 353, 440, 506(ii), 504, 42 and 34 PPC with Kot Ghulam Mohammad police station accusing that about 70 abadgars and growers including Mir Asif Talpure, Mir Zafar, Mir Shoukat, Mir Zahid, Fatah Khan Chandio, Khawar Bux Kaloi, Bhutto Dars etc have broken the gate of the shakh with the help of tractors and opened the water in Feeder Shakh. He alleged that during this, they forcibly made hostage to complainant Darogah Yousuf Khosa and other staff of irrigation department and committed intervention in government duty. However no accused was arrested by police while report added that involved abadgars have gone underground, however irrigation officials were reportedly busy to fix hurdle at the place of broken gate to stop the water supply in Feeder Shakh. Report received that dozens of abadgars have staged also protest demonstration at the Tando Jan Mohammad and Jhuddo road near KGM shrine. They accused that SDO irrigation had vowed to provide drinking water but did not supply drinking water in Feeder shakh. They said that they had been compelled to get drinking water forcibly. They condemned the registration of innocent abadgars by KGM police and demanded the DIG Mirpurkhas zone and DPO Mirpurkhas to withdraw the false case against abadgars.

MIRPURKHAS Feb 15. President district Mirpurkhas bar association Salahuddin Panhwer advocate has said that on the call of all Pakistan lawyers council boycott of courts was made also here by the lawyers on Monday against the cancellation of summary of chief justice by president Asif Ali Zardari. Besides, President peoples lawyers’ forum Mirpurkhas division Shamsuddin Sheikh advocate said that lawyers belong to Peoples lawyers forum did not boycott of the courts in the defunct Mirpurkhas division. 

MIRPURKHAS Feb 15. Hundreds of businessmen, shopkeepers and traders have held protest demonstration here on Sunday night at Market chowk to protest against the growing incident of robberies, snatching and theft in the city and police failure to nab the involved accused. Protesters blocked the main M.A.Jinnah road while they burnt also the tyres as result traffic was suspended for an hour. Led by president Anjuman e Tajiran Mirpurkhas Aneesur Rehman Shaikh, protesters raised slogans against the DPO Mirpurkhas and SPO city Ayub Dars. Speaking at the protesters leader Aneesur Rehman deplored that police had been failed to nab the involved accused while dozens of robberies and theft had been occurred in the city and its outskirts areas. He said that citizens particularly shopkeepers and traders are feeling themselves insecure due to present lawlessness condition of the city. He said that due to police failures affected people are not approaching to concerned police station for registration of their cases. He demanded the Sindh chief minister, Governor Sindh, provincial police officer, RPO Hyderabad and DIG Mirpurkhas to take immediate notice, ensure arresting of the involved culprits in the robberies and restore peaceful atmosphere. Later, DPO Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Shaikh reached at Dholanabad at the whole seller shop of Mohammad Abid who had been deprived of RS 125000, a Rado watch, NIC and driving license by two unknown robbers in the robbery where, Aneesur Rehman Shaikh and various traders also present. DPO listened the whole incident and assured to deploy the police guards at different places in the markets to avert any untoward incident.

MIRPURKHAS Feb 15. President Sindh Para medical staff welfare association has strongly condemned the deep conspiracy of retired person Musharraf and his accomplices to fail the national Polio campaign in Sindh. In a press statement issued here on Monday, he said that he is legal and official president of the above association but unfortunately a retired person Musharraf and his accomplices are running the fake organization with name of his association for black mailing the officials. He said that recently above so-called person had hatched conspiracy to fail the national polio campaign by announcing the boycott of this campaign through his newspaper statements. He said that polio campaign is the national cause and country will be defamed with its failure. He advised the all para medical staff to not give importance of statements of so-called fake person and took massive part in the polio campaign to make successful it. He said that foundation day of his association will be celebrated from Feb 22 to 28 Feb in the province during this he added that fruits and sweets would be distributed in the government hospitals and ceremonies would also be held. 
 
 
MIRPURKHAS Feb 15. Unknown thieves have stolen defence saving certificates and regular income certificates of millions of rupees by breaking the locks of treasury of General post office Mirpurkhas here on Sunday late night. Report said that unknown thieves barged into the general post office and broke the locks of the delivery , lockers and treasury rooms and taken away defence saving and regular income certificates of millions of rupees. Town inspector of GPO Mirpurkhas Khalid Zafar has lodged the case with town police station accusing that unknown thieves broke the locks of treasury room and stolen 215 defence saving and regular income certificates. Senior post master Rao Mohammad Amin told the newsmen that neither any signature nor any stamp was fixed on the stolen certificates and they were not issued officially to anybody so they were like only pieces of papers.

MIRURKHAS Feb 14. Civil society and different social and political organizations have jointly taken out a protest rally here on Sunday from railway station chowk to protest against terrorism, religious extremism, target killing and lawlessness. Protesters led by Kanji Rano Bheel advocate and Asghar Narejo, carried banners and placards marched through main roads. Mostly participators wearing yellow colour dresses and Ajrak, Sindhi caps expressing sofiasam while singers also singing sofi classical songs with musical instruments including Yaktara, Chapri, Baja, Drum, Shehnai etc. Hundreds of citizens’ heared their sofi songs and welcomed to participators belong to different parts of the Sindh province. They reached at local press club in surrounding of heavy police contingents. One side of the road was blocked on this occasion. Speaking at the protesters leaders strongly condemned the terrism, target killing, religious extremism and lawlessness. They called upon the government to take drastic action to end the terrorism, target killing, lawlessness. They lamented that crime has been arose in the district as murder, kidnapping for ransom, robbery, theft, mobile snatching etc have become common in the district. They deplored that mostly target of snatching was being made to schedule caste, journalists, political activists and human right activists as result resentment and unrest had been prevailed among the affected people. They said that 5000 plants have been distributed for planting to express solidary with young lovers and given the message of peace and love. They said that today valentine day is being observed in the world and we wanted to spread atmosphere of love, peace and brotherhood in the district, country and world. They accused that due to negligence of DPO Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Shaikh, crime had been increased as police had been completely failed to restore peace in the city as well as other parts of the district. They further alleged that police had failed to nab any involve culprit of murder cases. They demanded the government to replace the DPO Mirpurkhas without any delay and ensure arresting of the accused involved in target killing and other crimes without any discrimination. Those spoke the protesters including Kanji Rano Bheel advocate, Asghar Narejo, Hameed Channa, Sher Mohammad Solangi, Wajid Leghari, Zeeshan, Taj Baloch, Akbar Mari, Mir Safdar Talpure, Najaf Leghari etc. 

 MIRPURKHAS Feb 14. General Secretary Jamaat e Islami Mirpurkhas Abo Maaz has accused that government has made violation of constitution to cancel the summary of chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chohadhry for appointments of judges and termed this act as against the judicial decision. He was speaking at the protest demonstration of JI Mirpurkhas held here on Sunday outside Madina Masjid to protest against the government violations of the judicial decision. Haji Noor Illahi Mughal and Mohammad Rafique Chohan said that president has denied of recommendations of chief justice as result condition will be created in the country for which rulers would be responsible. They paid rich tribute to Justice Saqib Nisar for refusing the president order and said that he has been established an example of respect of judiciary and law . 
 
MIRPURKHAS Feb 14. CIA police Mirpurkhas have apprehended an absconder accused of the murder case near Lohi Mori at Tandoadam road here on Sunday. Police sources said that on a tip off CIA police  incharge Ghulam Mustufa Thebo along with contingents conducted raid and apprehended absconder accused Mitho Khaskheli son of Kandero Khaskhlei . Sources added that arrested accused was wanted to Khai police in murder case of Ghulam Mustufa, sub inspector of crime branch Hyderabad.

MIRPURKHAS Feb 14. Zaheeruddin Babar, coordinator of Chohadhry Shujaat Hussain of PML (Q) leader has said that PML (Q) is believed to services of poors without any discrimination and for achieving its  target leadership are working for providing facilities to the masses . He was speaking at a reception given in his honour by Abdul Ghaffar Rajput, district leader of PML (Q) Mirpurkhas here on Saturday night. He said that his leaders are talking for rights of workers and supporting those office bearers and workers who had been neglected in past. He claimed that PML (Q) is the big active political party in the country. He asked the workers and office bearers to be united for restoration of proper democracy in the country. Vice president PML(Q)Sindh Basheer Ahmed Johary said that his party will take massive part in the coming local body election and after success its representatives would services of the masses without any discrimination. He said that after coming in government we could end the price hike by adopting comprehensive policy. District leader Abdul Ghaffar Rajput has said that PML (Q) is being strengthened on union council level in the district Mirpurkhas as well as other districts of Sindh. Haji Mohammad Saleem and Mohammad Ameen Memon also spoke. Pir Syed Sajjad Hussain, Ch Shahnawaz of taluka Jhuddo and Sahab Khan Mari have announced to join the PML (Q).

MIRPURKHAS Feb 13. Concerned authorities have not yet begun the work to construct sports complex and installation of LPG air mixed plant at Kot Ghulam Mohammad town as result people are deprived of sports ground and LPG gas facility. Report said that federal minister for inter provincial relation Pir Aftab Hussain Shah Jilani and MNA Mir Munawar Ali Talpure had been laid stone breaking of the above two projects in month oct, 2009 during the ceremonies held near office of taluka Nazim Kot Ghulam Mohammad and across Kot Ghulam Mohammad Mirpurkhas road . Report added that sports complex was to be constructed at 4 acres government land (irrigation department land) and LPG air mixed plant was to be installed at 4 acre land of Market committee and for this purpose sui southern gas company limited was approached for installation of this project as such kind of project had also been installed in Punjab province. MNA Mir Munawar Ali Talpure had taken special interest for installation of this project to fulfill his promise made with masses of taluka kot Ghulam Mohammad. Report said that the land matter to fix the price or value of the 4 acre land of market committee was handed over to district price committee comprising chairman EDO revenue , members D.O revenue, concerned DDO revenue, concerned Mukhtiarkar, representatives of real state and market committee. However no meeting of district price committee was yet convened despite passing three months. Anwer Kaim Khani, Farooque, Ghulam Mustafa , Shamshair Kaim Khani etc told the newsmen that various teams of Sui Southern gas company limited had visited the site here various times but no work was yet started. When contacted DDO revenue taluka Kot Ghulam Mohammad, Aamir Khattak told that the matter had been shifted to district price committee to fix the market value of 4 acres of Market committee land that was acquired for installation of LPG air Mixed plant. He deplored that building department has not yet been started the work on the sports complex scheme. 

MIRPURKHAS Feb 13. Hundreds of abadgars of Girhor Shakh fed by Khipro canal have staged protest demonstrations at local press club and outside the office of director Nara canal to protest against not supply of irrigation water in their Girhor Shakh for last two months causing destroying of their cultivated crops. Protesters reached first of all outside the office of director Nara canal in mini trucks and Datsun pickups. They, led by Mohammad Khan Mari and Arbab Mari carried banners and placards demanding the authorities for early supply of irrigation water in their Shakh. Later, they arrived at local press club where they staged sit in. On this occasion talking to newsmen protesters Mohammad Khan Mari, Arbab Mari, Noor Mohammad Khaskheli and others deplored that despite passing two months no drop of irrigation water was supplied in their Shakh. They described that water supply was closed in their Shakh after closure of Nara canal for annual desilting and improvement but despite passing two months water was not supplied in their Shakh as result their cultivated wheat, sugar cane, sun flower and vegetables crops were devastating. They said that water supply had been resumed in Nara head while accusing that SDO Samaro was receiving allegedly illegal gratification from big landlords as result water is being provided to big landlords or those paying illegal gratification. They regretted that their area was deprived also of drinking water and people had been compelled to bring the drinking water from far flung areas. They demanded the Sindh chief minister, Governor Sindh, secretary irrigation and provincial minister for irrigation to immediately take notice ensure judiciously distribution of water and water availability till tail end abadgars of their Shakh. 

MIRPURKHAS Feb 13. Local landlord Pir Iftikhar Jan Sarhandi has demanded the Sindh chief minister, Governor Sindh, provincial minister for irrigation and secretary irrigation to take immediately notice of acute shortage of water in tail of Lakhaki Shakh fed by Jamrao canal as result hundreds of abadgars and landlords were deprived of their share water and their cultivated wheat and other crops were adversely damaging. Talking to newsmen here on Saturday at local press club, he deplored that water is being supplied in Lakhki Shakh but influential landlords are involved in stealing of irrigation water by tempering their water courses as result water was not reaching in tail even Sindh horticulture research institute Mirpurkhas, Mirpurkhas Gymkhana club, Judges bunglows and other residences of government officers are also adversely affecting of acute shortage of water. They deplored that in the head of the Shakh henchmen of landlords are forcibly closed the water supply in tail as result maximum water quantity was going in the lands of influential landlords. He demanded the concerned authorities to ensure water supply till tail end abadgars in their Shakh. 
MIRPURKHAS Feb 12. Acute shortage of water has been prevailed from 8 districts to 18 districts of Sindh province causing devastation of wheat, sugar cane, sunflower, vegetables and other crops cultivated over a cror acre. This was stated by Javed Ahmed Junejo, chairman farmer organization council FOC Sindh, while talking to newsmen here on Friday at local press club. He said that after Nara canal, other canals of Sukkur barrage including Ghotki canal and left bank Badin canal are facing acute shortage of water while they and their distributaries and minors had already been handed over to farmer organizations. He said that 560 distributaries have been affected of acute shortage of water that are being run under Sindh irrigation and drainage authority SIDA. He said that Ghotki, Sukkur, Khairpur, Sanghar, Nawabshah, Mirpurkhas, Tandoallahyar, Umerkot, Tharparkar, Badin, Tando Mohammad Khan and other districts are adversely affecting owing scarcity of water. He said that water shortage crisis has been deepened as result in future crisis of shortage of flour, vegetables etc might be occurred in Sindh . He accused that under a deep conspiracy agriculture of Sindh is being devastated to create anarchy and law and order problem. He said that there is required 45000 cusec water flow in Sukkur barrage but only 17000 cusec water is being supplied that is insufficient for drinking purpose also . He claimed that chairmen farmer organization councils of above three canals were paid RS 15 crors as Aabyana (water tax) and 75 crors as agriculture tax etc. He deplored that growers have been suffered big losses due to acute shortage of water and destroying of their standed crops. He said that all abadgars have decided not to pay water tax and agriculture tax to the government. He demanded the President Asif Ali Zardari, prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and other authorities to take immediately take notice , ensure supply of required quantity of water to save the crops of this region otherwise abadgars would suffered heavy losses. 

MIRPURKHAS Feb 12. General Secretary of PPP district Mirpurkhas Tharo Khan Panhwer has been suspended by president PPP Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah following complaint of Pir Aftab Hussain Shah Jilani , divisional president PPP Mirpurkhas and federal minister for inter provincial relations against him . PPP sources informed to this correspondent that federal minister Pir Aftab Hussain Shah Jilani had been complained to Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Sindh chief minister and president PPP Sindh that Tharo Khan Panhwer, general secretary of PPP district Mirpurkhas had been misbehaved with him after which action was taken in this regard. This matter was occurred after the murder of Ali Akbar Panhwer, senior worker of PPP Mirpurkhas very close to federal minister and divisional president Pir Aftab Hussain Shah Jilani. It may be recalled that a week back in night, unknown armed assailants had opened indiscriminate firing in target killing incident at Gulshan Haider as result Ali Akbar Panhwer was died of serious bullet wounds at the spot while Aijaz Soomro, district president PPP cultural wing was seriously injured. When they were being shifted to emergency of civil hospital Mirpurkhas, a message was sent to notables, PPP party office bearers and district officers from the mobile of injured Aijaz Soomro as both had suffered bullet injuries and two persons of PPP district level were involved in murderous attack. Injured Aijaz Soomro was referred to LMUH Hyderabad where he was operated by surgeons and was still admitted in the hospital at Hyderabad. Murder case of this incident was lodged with town police station on the complaint of Asghar Panhwer, little brother of deceased Ali Akbar Panhwer after three days against two unknown armed assailants following discussion in party leaders on provincial level. It may be recalled that about a year back, on the complaint and being proved regarding getting over a dozen government job to family of deceased Ali Akbar Panhwer and selling of provided jobs by Haji Noor Hassan Chandio, ex district president PPP Mirpurkhas, Sindh chief minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah had been suspended and replaced the district president Haji Noor Hassan Chandio and deceased Ali Akbar panhwer from office of divisional Rabita secretary , while divisional president PPP youths wing Mirpurkhas Tharo Khan Panhwer was replaced and appointed as general secretary of PPP district Mirpurkhas . While MNA Mir Munawar Ali Talpure was appointed as district president PPP Mirpurkhas. These changes of office bearers in the PPP district Mirpurkhas created two factions in the party as secretly a faction was being run by divisional president PPP Mirpurkhas Pir Aftab Hussain Shah Jilani and another faction was being run  by MNA Mir Munawar Ali Talpure. Sources said that workers and office bearers on union council levels had welcomed the replacing of ex district president Haji Noor Hassan Chandio and divisional Rabita secretary deceased Ali Akbar Panhwer and had expressed their happiness over the appointment of Tharo Khan Panhwer as general secretary district Mirpurkhas as he belong to lower class and worker class and had been emerged on district level following his great services and sacrifices for party.

Compliancing the orders of Inspector explosives of ministry of industries and production, department of explosives, circle office Karachi , deputy district officer DDO revenue Mirpurkhas taluka Ammara Aamir Khatak has visited the 6 filling stations along with police and suspended their services including storage and sale of petroleum products here on Friday, while she has been sought the owners or representatives of the above 6 filling stations in his office tomorrow on Saturday along with relevant records . Report said that Mian Rauf Ali , inspector explosives of ministry of industries and production, department of explosives , circle office Karachi had been cancelled the licenses of petrol storage of 6 filling stations of the Mirpurkhas taluka . Official sources said that above inspector had directed in a letter to DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon to ensure sealing of the premises of 6 filling stations, stoppage of supply , storage and sale of petroleum products and intimate also last meter reading of DP and HSD dispensing units. He further said that if those filling stations were desired restoration of their licenses should adopt the proper procedure as laid down in the policy/regulation and petroleum rules 1937. Those filling stations whose licenses have been cancelled are M/s Madina filling station situated at Mirwah Digri road, M/s Raja filling station situated at railway station Mirpurkhas , M/s Mirwah filling station near chowk Amsabad, Deh Mirwah , taluka Mirpurkhas, M/s Yamin filling station situated at Bhansinghabad , Iqbal road Mirpurkhas, 3 mile filling station situated at Mirpurkhas Mirwah road, taluka Mirpurkhas and M/s Shaikh Mohammad Usman filling station situated at Jameel Shaheed road Mirpurkhas .When contacted DDO revenue Mirpurkhas taluka Ammara Aamir Khatak told that representative of Shell company have talked with her on telephone and assured that licenses of their Shell company’s filling stations have been restored and sending relevant records in her office. She said that if their documents would be correct and restoration of licenses she will allow them to resume their services.

Notices under section 133 CrPc have been issued to over a dozen illegal encroachers by DDO revenue taluka Mirpurkhas here on Thursday against their illegal encroachements and directed them to remove their illegal encroachments within seven days after which authorities will remove them without any discrimination. Report said that DDO revenue Mirpurkhas taluka Ammara Aamir Khattak along with town officer regulation of TMA Mirpurkhas has visited the M.A.Jinnah road and Sir Syed road and issued over a dozen seven days notices under section 133 CrPc. While on the spot town police have served those notices to illegal encroachers including sweets shops, wood shops, furniture shops etc. It may be recalled that this action was taken after growing the illegal encroachers at main roads of the city sothat traffic flow might be easy without any obstacle.

Official sources said that above inspector had asked in a letter to DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon to ensure sealing of the premises of those petrol pumps and CNG filling stations, stoppage of supply , storage and sale of petroleum products and intimate also last meter reading of DP and HSD dispensing units. MIRPURKHAS Feb 10.People are facing hardships in getting the Autara of field book of their lands from survey superintendent department Mirpurkhas. Vice president Sindh Abadgar board SAB Mirpurkhas chapter Haji Abdul Ghafoor Maher complained that survey superintendent department Mirpurkhas is not providing or issuing the Autara of field book of the agriculture lands despite approaching to concerned department . Talking to newsmen here on Tuesday, he said that on Mirpurkhas divisional level, Sindh government had been opened its office of Survey superintendent department at Mirpurkhas for providing facilities of demarcation of the lands and issuance of Autara of field book of the lands but only land demarcation work was made while Autara of field book of the land was not being provided here due to non availability of record of the lands of defunct Mirpurkhas division. He lamented that people are facing hardships as traveled to Hyderabad for acquiring Autara of field book of their land. When contacted Zameer Hussain Leghari, incharge of survey superintendent department Mirpurkhas told that about a year back this office was opened but no budget , record and required staff were provided here despite repeated complaints to concerned higher authorities. He said that no building of his office was available here but he was provided two rooms in the building of civil defence office Mirpurkhas. He said that without proper staff and land records he is not able to issue Autara of field book of the lands, however demarcation of the lands was being made by his staff. He appealed the higher authorities to provide him budget and staff for properly running this office here. 

MIRPURKHAS Feb 10. Wheat and other cultivated crops are devastating particularly in tail end districts Mirpurkhas, Umerkot and Tharparkar situated in lower Sindh owing to acute shortage of irrigation water in Nara canal. Talking to newsmen at local press club here on Wednesday, Javed Ahmed Junejo , chairman Farmer organization council FOC Sindh deplored that recently 25000 cusec water was increased in Sindh river following rainfall in Punjab and other provinces but unfortunately irrigation authorities of Punjab has diverted the water flow towards Taunsa Bairaj to store the water as result in Sukkur barrage water level has been decreased as from 18000 cusec to 15000 cusecs automatically irrigation authorities supplying the water discharge only 6000 cusec in Nara canal head against its requirements of 18000 cusec water discharge. He lamented that drought like situation has been created in the above tail end districts of Nara canal as due to stealing of water from Nara canal through illegal 400 lift machines and tempered modules of canals and distributaries only water for drinking purpose is being supplied in minors, distributaries etc. He urged the federal government to ensue releasing of more than water in Sindh River instead to store the water in Taunsa barrage to save the wheat and other crops of Sindh province. He said that landlords and abadgars were suffering big losses as their investments in agriculture sector has become on risk and depending now only on irrigation water that is not available in the canals here . He said that 6000 cusec water discharge is only for drinking purpose and at this time there is acute need of water for wheat and other crops in this region and added that wheat and other crops were already deprived of irrigation for last 50 days as the Nara canal was closed for annual desilting and repair purpose. He demanded the president Asif Ali Zardari and prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani to take immediately notice of acute shortage of water particularly in lower Sindh and ensure proper supply of water in River Indus and in Nara canal to save the cultivated wheat and other crops otherwise all the abadgars and Zamindars under the banner of FOC Sindh would held protest demonstration and sit in at Sukkur barrage on Feb 11th 2010.

MIRPURKHAS Feb 9. Chairman Pakistan Wapda Hydro electric central labour union Abdul Lateef Nizamani has said that electricity tariff will be increased after functioning the rental power project as result resentment and unrest will be prevailed in the country and added that these power projects have completed their life. He was talking with local journalists after attending the meeting of Hydro union workers here on Tuesday in the Hesco Mirpurkhas division office. He said that those came into government on the name of democracy did nothing for masses and advised the government to upgrade the present power plants in the country for providing electricity on cheap or less rate. He further said that electricity generated from rental power projects would be costly as result problems of the consumers would also be enhanced and electricity theft and its arrears would also be increased. He said that government should change its attitude sothat labours could pay their role for progress and prosperity of the country. He urged the government to increased RS 2000 in salary on adhoc basis to face the price hike because government had been failed to controle the price hike in the country. He expressed that grievances of the labours are increasing day by day and there is need to bring such revolution under which labours could pass their life easily without any trouble. General secretary Iqbal Kaim Khani said that masses and labours are badly affecting owing to growing unemployment and dangerous price hike and announced that labours would launch their struggle throughout country from Feb 20th, 2010. He said that about 10000 factories had been closed in the country as capital is not coming in the country and we are facing the terrorism. He said that there is need of vital role of labours for solutions of these problems. Divisional chairman Mirpurkhas Akbar Leghari said that Pakistan Wapda Hydro central electric labour union is the unpolitical organization of labours which is struggling for solutions of masses and to acquire the respect for labours of Wapda. He said that Hydro Union is the spokesman of labours of Wapda and it had won 4 referendums in the country. He said that labours of Sindh are united in the leadership of Abdul Lateef Nizamani. Those also spoke Dr Sohail Nizamani, Malik Abdul Kareem, Yousuf Soomro, Agha Abdul Waheed Pathan, Malik Sultan, Sher Mohammad Nizamani etc. 


MIRPURKHAS Feb 8. Light rainfall hit the city and its outskirts areas as result cold wave intensified here on Monday. Report said that light intermittent rainfall occurred caused slippery roads and cold wave intensified in the region. Various motor cyclists were reportedly slipped and they get first aid from emergency of civil hospital.
 
MIRPURKHAS Feb 8. Murder case of local PPP leader Ali Akbar Panhwer was lodged with town police station here on Monday. Report said that Asghar Ali Panhwer, little brother of deceased had lodged the murder case accusing that two unknown armed persons had killed his brother Ali Akbar panhwer in Gulshan e Haider while district president PPP cultural wing Mirpurkhas Aijaz Soomro was seriously injured. Report added that injured Aijaz Soomro was operated in LMUH Hyderabad and still he is admitted in Hyderabad.Besides, a meeting of different unions of education department including primary teachers association, Masjid school teacher association, Jamiatul Madarseen and Government secondary teachers association was held at Adil primary school in the protest of murder of Ali Akbar Panhwer , also leader of primary teacher association , presided by president Hussain Bux khamesani. Speaking at the meeting, Mehmood Leghari, Javed ul Islam, Aslam chohan, Nazeer Memon and Khameso Khan Sammon have demanded the government to arrest the culprits involved in his murder. They said that unrest and resentment had been prevailed among the teachers community. They warned that if the killers of Ali Akbar Panhwer were not arrested within a week then protest campaign will be launched throughout province. They said that black banners and flags were hoisted at the buildings of all schools, offices and institutions in protest on Monday while teachers wore also black armed banned.
 
MIRPURKHAS Feb 8. Fire broke out in the house of Allama Aijaz Ali Sanjrani, divisional president Jaffria alliance Mirpurkhas on Sunday late night in Mehmood town here as result house articles and other goods were burnt to ashes. Talking to newsmen on Sunday, Allama Aijaz Ali Sanjrani told that his house was set on fire by unknown persons while he was receiving threats for last some days. He added that at the time of fire his family was not present in the house. Meanwhile, local leaders of Jaffria alliance Mirpurkhas Sajjad Rind, Farhat Hussain Abidi and Sagheer Naqvi have strongly condemned of this incident. 

MIRPURKHAS Feb 8. Assistant inspector recovery of Muslim commercial bank limited Raja Hidayat Khan has warned the defaulters of MCB belong to Mirpurkhas, Umerkot and Sanghar to deposite their arrears till Feb 15, 2010 otherwise their cases would be filed in the banking court for legal proceedings. MIRPURKHAS Feb8. Scores of people of Banglani community have held protest demonstration on Monday in front of Kot Ghulam Mohammad press club in KGM town to protest against the kidnapping of Shaheen Banglani, 22, and injuring of Mohammad Hashim Banglani and Wahid Bux Banglani in the armed attack by taluka nazim Kunri Jam Memon and his henchmen. Protesters led by Razique Dino Banglani and Mohammad Qasim Banglani, carried banners and placards raised slogans against the taluka nazim Kunri. Speaking at the protesters leaders said that there were 175 acres of agriculture land of Banglani community in taluka Samaro but taluka nazim Kunri Jam Memon and his henchmen had tried to occupy their lands during this nazim and his henchmen resorted strait firing in which Wahid Bux and Mohammad Hashim Banglani were seriously injured while they kidnapped young Shaheen Banglani. They demanded the authorities to arrest Sattar Chandio and Abdul Haq Memon, close persons of taluka nazim Kunri and recover Shaheen Banglani from their illegal confinement otherwise Banglani community will be compelled to launch protest campaign throughout province.

MIRPURKHAS Feb 7. An infant was burnt to death and four laborers sustained burn injuries when fire broke out in a hut in Deh 140, village Ghulam Ali Talpure, near Mirwah Gorchani town on Saturday night. Report received that fire broke out in a hut during preparation of tea which engulfed the other huts as result sugarcane laborers residing in those huts tried to save their lives but a one and half years old child was burnt to death and four laborers sustained burn injuries rushed to rural health center Mirwah Gorchani for medical treatment. Their names could not be ascertained. Total about 50 huts were burnt to ashes. Laborers and villagers extinguished the fire on self help basis while fire brigade vehicle was reached very late on the spot.

He said that there was acute need of irrigation water for wheat and other crops at this time as they were already deprived of water for last one and half month because of Nara canal was closed for annual desiltng and repair purpose. He accused that director Nara canal and other officers were supplying the very less quantity of water in the head of Mithrao canal cuasing devastating the crops while human being and animals were avoiding to drink that dirty and bad smell water. He said that injustice was always made with Mithrao canal in supplying the water as due to mismanagement of irrigation department’s officers in distribution of water rotation programme was continued for last a year in Mithrao division as result over a lakhs of fertile land had been changed barren land. He demanded the government to ensure more than supply of irrigation water in Nara canal head and end the injustice with Mithrao canal in distribution of water and ensure proper supply of irrigation water till tail end abadgar and end also the rotation programme. 

MIRPURKHAS Feb 7. Ameer Jamaat e Islami Mirpurkhas Lala Noor Mohammad has accused that dangerous face of USA has been uncovered following the decision of USA court against Dr Aafia Siddique despite proving false witnesses presented in the court against her. He was speaking at the protest demonstration held here on Sunday outside the Madina Masjid to protest against the USA decision against Dr Aafia Siddique. He said that for replacing the attention of Pakistani people from Dr Aafia Siddique verdict, after two days, USA had made arrangements as bomb blasted in Karachi in which costly lives were losted and over a hundred people sustained injuries. He said that the USA was aimed to create dispute among people of different sects but people demonstrated of their solidarity to make unsuccessful its conspiracy. He demanded the rulers to take practically measures for releasing Dr Aafia Siddique. Those also spoke Haji Noor Illahi Mughal.

Chairman council for all underprivileged segments empowerment Asghar Narejo advocate has expressed grave concern over the growing incidents of target killing of political activists in the city and demanded the rulers to take immediate notice and ensure arresting of the culprits involved in target killing. In a press statement issued here on Sunday, he deplored that administration is silent on target killing as it was failed to nab any accused of target killing of political activists. He said that Ali Akbar Panhwer and Naved Baloch were killed in target killing while in past senior journalist Zubair Ahmed Mujahid, Kaleem Kaim Khani, Shehzad Kalar, Dr Mannan Siddique, etc had been killed in target killing in the city but no involved accused was yet apprehended by police. He said that citizens feeling insecure themselves and urged the government to take strict measures against culprits for restoration of peace in the city.
 
MIRPURKHAS Feb 7. Police have rounded up over 50 absconders in the crackdown in Mirpurkhas and Hussain Bux Mari taluka here on Sunday while they were wanted to police in different criminal cases. SPO city Mirpurkhas Mohammad Ayub Dars told the newsmen that police carried out raids at various places and apprehended over 50 absconders wanted to police in heinous crimes.

MIRPURKHAS Feb 6. Media coordinator of federal minister for inter provincial relation was killed and another seriously injured in the target killng incident at Gulshan e Haider in the limit of town police station here on Friday late night. Report said that Ali Akbar Panhwer , media coordinator of federal minister for inter provincial relation and Aijaz Soomro , district president of PPP cultural wing as reached at the house of media coordinator on their bike that unknown persons sprayed of fires with sophisticated arms as result both Ali Akbar Panhwer and Aijaz Soomro sustained serious bullet injuries, while the unknown armed assailants fled away from the spot . They were brought to emergency of civil hospital Mirpurkhas where doctors pronounced death of Ali Akbar Panhwer while first aid was given to Aijaz Soomro and referred to LMUH Hyderabad due to his precarious condition. As the news of this incident spread in the city hundreds of PPP workers and office bearers were reached at the hospital. While various workers including Niaz Baloch were fell unconscious to see the dead body of deceased Ali Akbar Panhwer and doctors provided them also medical treatment. MPA Shamim Aara Panhwer, city president ladies wing Fatima Baloch, DPO Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Shaikh were also reached at the hospital. PPP workers collected the blood for injured Aijaz Soomro while civil surgeon Dr Asghar Arain made immediate arrangements of ambulance etc to shift the referred patient to LMUH Hyderabad . District general secretary PPP Mirpurkhas Tharo Khan Panhwer was also arrived at civil hospital. Police carried out raids and apprehended two suspect persons Rafique and Aslam Kalar. On Saturday morning various armed persons made aerial firing in different parts of the city. While strict security arrangements were made in the city to avert any untoward incident. Namaz e Janaza of deceased Ali Akbar Panhwer was held in colony ground that was attended by hundreds of people including PPP office bearers , workers , taluka Nazim Mirpurkhas Ghulam Dastageer Kamali, taluka naim Hussain Bux Mari, taluka naim Sindhri. Representatives of local body department and citizens. The deceased was laid to rest among hundreds of mourners at Taj Dhani graveyard. DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon, DPO Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Shaikh and federal minister for inter provincial relation Pir Aftab Hussain Shah Jilani were also reached at the house of deceased and condoled with bereaved family. Besides, federal minister Pir Aftab Hussain Shah Jilani, provincial minister for agriculture Syed Ali Nawaz Shah, MNA and district president PPP Mirpurkhas Mir Munawar Ali Talpure, MPA Shamim Aara Panhwer and other PPP leaders have strongly condemned of target killing of their worker in the city and demanded the administration to ensure arresting of involved culprits of this incident.
 
MIRPURKHAS Feb 6. Following the two bomb blastings in Karachi on Friday, Mirpurkhas police conducted the raids at different places and picked up four persons of banned organizations including Ishaque, Majeed, Babar and Shehzad on Friday night and kept them at unknown destination. Learnt that on Saturday morning apprehended above four persons were released in morning.
 
MIRPURKHAS Feb 6. Complete strike was observed here on Saturday in mourn of deaths of over 2 dozen innocent people and injuries of over a hundred people in two bomb blasts at Karachi and also in mourn of death of PPP worker in the target killing here on Saturday. On this occasion strict security measures were taken by DPO Mirpurkhas as police personnel were deployed at main chowks, roads, entry and exit ways of the city and sensitive areas to avert any untoward incident. Mostly petrol pumps and CNG service centers remained also close as result people faced hardships. In morning various persons resorted aerial firing to force the shopkeepers to close their shops. All the markets, bazaars and shopping centers remained close. Traffic was thin at the roads while transport was also thin at their routs. Meanwhile, leaders of Shiaan e Haider Karar Mirpurkhas Farhat Hussain Abidi and Sajjad Rind have demanded the government to ensure immediate arresting of the culprits involved in two bomb blasts at Karachi and exemplary punishment be awarded them. In a joint press statement they paid tribute to district administration for their fool proof arrangements on Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain in the city as well as district.
 
MIRPURKHAS Feb 6. Naib Ameer Jamat e Islami Sindh Dr Merajul Huda Siddique has termed the verdict of American Jury against Pakistani scientist Dr Aafia Siddique a punch or slab on the face of rulers of Pakistan and added that due to this decision faces of USA and Pakistani rulers have been uncovered. He was speaking as chief guest at the Day of solidarity with Kashmiri conference held here on Friday night. He further said that decision against Dr Aafia Siddique was written in Israel that was announced by American Jury and claimed that USA jury did not make signature on the verdict of Dr Aafia Siddique while it made signature on order of its death. He said that USA court made the assassination of justice. He said that Karachi that is the biggest city of Islamic countries had been made killing place. He said that growing bomb blast incidents are the cause of government’s inefficiency. He accused that despite giving more powers to rangers and complete security arrangements in Karachi costly lives of the innocent people were lost proving the artificial security arrangements instead of fool proof security arrangements. He advised the rulers to leave the USA policy and take legal action against culprits without any discrimination. He alleged that USA is involved in anarchi and bomb blastings in the country to destabilize the government. He said that Indian atrocities have been increased in Kashmir due to weak policy of present government on Kashmir issue. Ameer Jamat e Islami Mirpurkhas Lala Noor Mohammad also spoke.Besides, Ameer JI Mirpurkhas Lala Noor Mohammad has strongly condemned the incident of target killing at Mirpurkhas in which PPP worker Ali Akbar Panhwer was killed and his colleague Aijaz Soomro sustained serious injuries. He said that some miscreants were wanted to damage the peace of the city by their deep conspiracies. He demanded the administration to arrest the involved culprits and punish them exemplary.
 
MIRPURKHAS Feb 6. An hostage belong to district Hyderabad was recovered in the raid of CIA police Mirpurkhas here on Saturday in the limit of Old Mirpur police station while police apprehended an accused . Incharge CIA police Mirpurkhas Ghulam Mustufa Thebo told this correspondent that on a tip off, he along with heavy contingents of police conducted raid at village Haji Sohrab Khan Mari and recovered the hostage young Abdul Hakeem Khan from a house of peasant Jewan Kolhi son of Jearam Kolhi while the hostage was locked with iron rings. He further said that hostage young Abdul Hakeem Khan was kidnapped for ransom by notorious dacoit of Hyderabad district Kalo Rind and other his gangsters from Tando Alam Mari, district Hyderabad about 10 weeks back and he was shifted to the house of arrested peasant accused Jewan Kolhi by one criminal Dharhoo Mari , resident of Tando Mohammad Khan . He further said that kidnappers had demanded ransom money RS 50 lakhs from his family. Following the recovery of the hostage and arresting of the accused, they were brought at Old Mirpur police station where uncle of the hostage was present who met with his nephew. While DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon and DPO Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Shaikh were also reached at Old Mirpur police station. Police sources said that DPO Mirpurkhas on this occasion, informed to RPO Hyderabad about the successful raid and recovery of the hostage. DPO said that he will recommend to RPO Hyderabad for promotion and cash reward for the incharge CIA police Mirpurkhas Ghulam Mustufa Thebo , sub inspector Amin Mari and officials of the CIA police who took part in the raid. Later, on the directives of RPO Hyderabad the recovered hostage Abdul Hakeem Khan and arrested accused Jewan Kolhi were handed over to Ghulam Nabi Keeryo, SP investigation Hyderabad and he taken them to Hyderabad

Strict Security arrangements were made on this occasion also for Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain heavy contingents of police were deployed at different places in the city even exit and entry ways of the city to avert any untoward incident. While report received that strike was also observed at Mirwah Gorchani, Digri, Tando Jan Mohammad, Jhuddo, Naokot, Kot Ghulam Mohammad etc to express solidarity with Kashmiri people.

Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain was observed here on Friday also like other areas of the country with religious fervor and amidst strict security arrangements while participators of different Matami processions have protested at station chowk in protest against the two suicide bomb explosions at Karachi in which 23 innocent persons were killed and over 50 sustained injuries. Matami processions were taken out in strict security from Haidary Imam Bargah Satellite town, Azakhana Chaki Para, Azakhana Noor Hussain Shah Gharibabad and Aakhana Moulvi Nawazish Ali while participators reached at railway station where they included in the Main procession and participators led by Asad Ali Naqvi, Tasawar Kazmi and Sajjad Rind have staged sit in and protest demonstration at railway station chowk and post office chowk and they announced of 3 days mourn on this occasion . Except rangers and police personnesl, incharge MQM Mirpurkhas zone Azeem Danish, members zonal committee, MPA Faheem Altafi, taluka Nazim Ghulam Dastageer Kamali, Zila Naib Nazim Dr Zafar Ahmed Kamali and other office bearers and workers were also along with Matami processions. Different Shia organizations including Shiaan e Haider Karar’s leaders Farhat Hussain Abidi, Syed Mohammad Ali Jafri, Syed Jafar Jafri and others have strongly condemned the suicide bombs explosions at Karachi and demanded the government to ensure immediate arresting of the culprits involved in the bomb explosions and punish them exemplary. Iron rings Matam was made in the main procession. Different roads were blocked by the police as result citizens faced hardships, while rangers and police personnel were deployed in surrounding of the processions, main chowks , ways of the processions etc to avert any untoward incident. Closed circuit cameras were installed at different places to monitor the situation of the procession. Later Majalis were held in Imam Bargah Makhan Shah.
 
MIRPURKHAS Feb 5. Unknown armed persons have attacked upon a doctor and a dispenser after exchanging hot words in the medical ward of civil hospital Mirpurkhas as result para medical staff have boycotted their duties in the wards of the hospital while after intervention of civil surgeon , police have apprehended the four armed persons here on Friday. Report said that various armed persons reached at the medical ward and started to beat dispenser Aslam and also manhandled Doctor Imtiaz Ali Memon, while they also used abusive languages as result para medical staff boycott their services. Civil surgeon Dr Asghar Arain, who was also reached at the spot called the emergency police who arrested four persons and shifted them to lock up of town police station. Panic was spread in the hospital after this incident. Doctors and para medical staff expressing their views said that in present condition they were feeling insecure themselves and could not pay their duties. The arrested accuseds were identified as Allah Bachayo, Ashique, Zeeshan and Mashoque. Civil surgeon Dr Asghar Arain said that without any cause some armed persons lived in the city and mostly in past also have been creating law and order problem in the hospital have beated dispenser Aslam and also manhandled Dr Imtiaz Ali Memon on which he called emergency police and police personnels nabbed four of the armed persons from the hospital. He said that in same condition doctors and para medical staffs have been refused to pay their duties and feeling unsafe themselves. He said that he is forwarding the application of victim doctor and dispenser for registration of their case however he expressed that police were not taken action against the culprits as result doctors and para medical staff had been hopeless from district administration. He said that he is sending the victim doctor and dispenser to town police station with application for registration of their case against the arrested culprits sothat no such incident occurred in the premises of the hospital in future. Town police when contacted confirmed the arresting of the four culprits in this regard while victim doctor and dispenser were sitting in the town police station for register their case till filing of the news.

MIRPURKHAS Feb 4. A protest rally took out by Mirpurkhas action committee led by its chairman Kanji Rano Bheel Advocate here on Thursday from railway station chowk to express solidarity with the affected sacked employees of Fauji Fertilizer company Mirpur Mathelo , district Ghotki . Protesters carried banners and placards marched through main roads, while they raised slogans in the favor of sacked employees of the FFC. They later reached at local press club where speaking at the protesters Kanji Rano Bheel advocate, Hameed Channa, Asghar Narejo and Wajid Leghari strongly condemned the administration of FFC and demanded the government to replace immediately retired brigadier Saeed who is the main officer sacking the local employees of the FFC as local guards and other employees were sacked from their jobs. They expressed their support for their struggle. They urged the administration to replace the all retired military officers from top administrative posts of the semi government department and Multi national companies and recruit the local people in FFC. They regretted that semi government departments and multi national companies should expense 10 percent of their annual profit on the development of local areas but they were not expensing on development even keeping the employees from other provinces. Those also spoke Mohammad Khan Ahmadani and Akbar Mari of JSQM.  

MIRPURKHAS Feb 4. Few primary school teachers including female were suspended in charges of absence from duty as they were found absent from their duties here on Thursday during the surprise visit of DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon along accompanied by  EDO education Mirpurkhas Abdul Majeed Hur and other officers. Report said that DCO Mirpurkhas along with EDO education and other officers carried out raids at different schools including government girls Hudson primary school, government primary school Haji Mohammad Waris panhwer, government primary school Dost Mohammad Maher etc and suspended some teachers including Shazia Mumtaz in charges of absence from duties. On this occasion, DCO said that district Mirpurkhas had been termed as modal district with reference of education and advised the teachers to pay their duties properly to maintain its standard.  He said that school management committee funds would be utilized for building repairs and other needs of the schools. 

MIRPURKHAS Feb 4. Haq Parast MPA Faheem Altafi, taluka nazim Mirpurkhas Ghulam Dastageer Kamali and taluka naib nazim Shafique Ahmed have assured that voice will be raised in the Sindh assembly and taluka council Mirpurkhas for brave constable Mirpurkhas Muhabbat Unar who had been saved the lives of four children and urged the authorities to ensure announced facilities of proper medical treatment, aid money and police medal announced by district administration Mirpurkhas. They were talking to newsmen during their visit of village Bahadur Unar, taluka Mirpurkhas, to meet with victim constable Muhabbat Unar. They said that they would not bear any hurdle to give him announced police medal, aid money, promotion and proper medical treatment. They said that Muhabbat Unar had highlighted the name of Mirpurkhas throughout country due to his braveness and all circles of society should pay tribute him for his human friendship and braveness. They presented him flowers and cake and also offered to provide him convence for his proper medical treatment. It may be recalled that above victim constable Muhabbat Unar had been saved the lives of four children while they were playing at the railway track near underpass and train was reached near the children when he reached at the track and saved their lives but injured himself during this with train. On this occasion, Khadim Unar, elder brother of the victim constable told the newsmen that following the assurance of DCO and DPO Mirppurkhas for providing proper medical treatment facilities, today we went to civil hospital where EDO health Mirpurkhas Dr Khadim Hussain Lakhair misbehaved with them and termed the drama to his brother’s great performance and said that this all drama was made for getting only money, he added. He sad that they were hopeless of behave of the EDO health and returned to village. They demanded the Sindh government and DCO Mirpurkhas to make inquiry into this matter.

MIRPURKHAS Feb 3. Secretary general Jamaat e Islami Sindh Rashid Naseem has said that construction of 62 dams in Kashmir on behalf of India is the main cause of acute shortage of irrigation water in Pakistan and added that if today the Kashmir was part of Pakistan then India could not courage to stop the water of Pakistan . He was speaking at a seminar on solidarity with Kashmir held here on Wednesday by Jamaat e Islami Mirpurkhas. Ameer JI Mirpurkhas Lala Noor Mohammad, JUI Mirpurkhas district president Moulana Hafeezur Rehman, senior vice president of JUP Sindh Mufti Mohammad Shareef Saeedi, district vice president PML(N) Mohammad Zahid Kaim Khani, and leader of functional league Abid Hussain Rajput have said that Indian policy to crush the Muslims in Kashmir was today also continued despite severe protest of Kashmiri people and international human rights institutions and said that atrocities of India are increasing day by day in Kashmir. They accused that India had stolen the water of Pakistan by construction of 62 dams at the rivers coming to Pakistan from Kashmir while, they alleged that India with support of USA and Israel are making devastative activities in Pakistan . They deplored that despite passing 62 years to Pakistan implementation on the resolutions on Kashmir could not yet make. They said that various areas of Pakistan are deprived of their rights like condition of Kashmir. They said that rulers are disputed in the assemblies in the day light with each others and in night they are met like friends, while masses are facing a lot of problems.

MIRPURKHAS Feb 3. Chairman Railway workers Union Manzoor Ahmed Razi has called upon the president Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani to order for repair of faulty 100 diesel engines to save the railway department from increasing its deficit. He was talking to the news man through telephone on Wednesday. He said that there are about 500 costly diesel engines in the country as 70 diesel engines are in Karachi division who are running the mail and goods trains from Karachi while 100 diesel engines were lying faulty. He told that there is cost of a new diesel engine is RS 35 crors in the international market and a faulty diesel engine might be repaired with funds of RS 5 cror. He said that railway department’s deficit will be increased if the government was purchased new diesel engines to run the railway system properly in the country. He said that trains are lying closed in meter gauge tracks in interior Sindh including Mirpurkhas, Nawabshah etc. He advised the government to resume the services of meter gauge trains to facilitate the masses. He demanded the authorities to bring the system in the country to close the start diesel engines in free time to save the costly diesel from burning. He said that in other countries engines of trains were closed in free time under the system while in Pakistan till today, all the diesel engines are remained start 24 hours even their free time as result costly diesel was burnt.

MIRPURKHAS Feb 3. Chairman Action committee Mirpurkhas Kanji Rano Bheel advocate has accused the traffic police of receiving illegal gratification from the rickshaws, Changchi and push cart owners as result traffic system had been failed in the city while encroachments had been increased at the main roads and Markets causing great hardships to vehicles and citizens. He was talking to newsmen here on Wednesday at local press club. He deplored that traffic police officials are main cause of illegal encroachments in the city as at M.A.Jinnah road , Mirwah road, Sir Syed road, etc traffic mostly remained jam even pedestrians were also disturbed due to illegal encroachments . He said that in past there were fixed the routs of Chingchi rickshaws and vehicles in the city to smoothly flow of vehicles but due to corruption of traffic police, smoothly flow of vehicles at the roads has been collapsed. He demanded the provincial police officer, RPO Hyderabad, DIG Mirpurkhas zone and DPO Mirpurkhas to take immediately notice of receiving illegal gratification by traffic police officials and abolish the traffic police by introducing proper traffic system in the city.
