MIRPURKHAS March 25. Scores of lecturers and profficers held demonstration by Sindh profficers and lecturers association district Mirpurkhas here on Friday in front of local press club demanding the government to accept their demands. Protesters led by Yaqoob Khawar and Siddique Humayyoon, carried banners and placards, demanding the government to promote them according to time scale, issue posting orders of 17 to 18 grade and 18 to 19 grades professors whose promotions had already been made , cancel the forced transfers of 414 professors and lecturers and remove the differences of salaries on rural and urban basis.
 
MIRPURKHAS March 25. On the call of Ameer Jamaat e Islami, scores of workers and office bearers of Jamaat e Islami Mirpurkhas held demonstration here on Friday at Market chowk to protest against desecration of Holy Quran by a Christian father at USA . Speaking at the protesters leaders Ameer JI Mirpurkhas Zafar Iqbal Mujahid, General secretary Abo Maaz and vice Ameer Azizur Rehman have strongly condemned of this act of Christian father. They accused that Christian father had committed badly religious terrorism. They said that western country’s rulers wanted to get their negative targets by supporting such kind of elements and running propaganda campaign against the Muslims but due to this act, hatred was spreading among the Muslims against USA and west. They demanded the Muslims rulers to take serious notice and called the OIC meeting to discuss the created situation.


MIRPURKHAS March 25. Scores of PPP office bearers and workers including women taken out rally here on Friday from its PPP city office in the support of 4th speech of President Asif Ali Zardari with parliament. Led by MPA Shamim Aara Panhwer and city president Malik Yaseen Ghori, carrying banners, placards and flags, marched through main roads and reached at local press club. Speaking at the participators MPA Shamim Aara Panhwer said that PPP had been fulfilled its promise to give more than jobs to jobless youths on merit, launched youth porgrammes and Income support programme for poor families. Malik Yassen Ghori paid rich tribute to President Asif Ali Zardari for his leadership and record 4th times speech with parliament. Maqbool Khatian and Fatima Baloch hoped that President Asif Ali Zardari will also speech with parliament till next 5 years.

MIRPURKHAS March 25. Haq Parast MPA Faheem Ahmed Altafi has said that work was continued at full speed at various development schemes of year 2011 with cost of RS 12 crors to make better water supply, draining out sewerage water and cleanliness system in the city, while after completion of these schemes better atmosphere will be created for the citizens even those come here from outside city. He was talking to newsmen here on Friday. He further said that after 16 years, Sindh games would be held at Mirpurkhas as result opportunities would be created for the local sportsmen for performing their best in different games. He further said that various development schemes of millions of rupees for making better infrastructure of the city had been furnished to the government for approval. He said that there had been prepared different schemes of rupees 10 lakhs for promotion of the sports activities in the district. He told that for installation of Aastrotroph place was being searched with the help of district administration and taluka municipal administration Mirpurkhas in the city . He said that CC roads would be constructed in the city with cost of RS 60 lakhs soon while work on the scheme of rehabilitation of water filter plant of Satellite town with cost of rupees 12500000 (1 cror and 25 lakhs) was continued. He lauded that TMA Mirpurkhas was working in the leadership of its administrator Abdul Wahab Abbasi for providing more than facilities to the citizens.

MIRPURKHAS March 25. Scores of lecturers and professors held demonstration on Friday outside the Sanghar press club in support of their demands. Led by Amar Leghari and Mumtaz Leghari, protesters under the banner of Sindh professors and lecturers association district Sanghar have demanded the government to promote them under time scale and issue the posting orders of those lecturers and professors had already been promoted. They urged the government to accept their genuine demands without any delay.
 
MIRPURKHAS March 25. District bar association Sanghar has boycotted the court proceedings on Friday in Sanghar to protest against the desecration of Holy Quran by Christian father of USA . While led by president of the bar association Nand Kumar advocate , lawyers held also protest demonstration in the premises of district bar association Sanghar and strongly condemned the desecration of Holy Quran. They demanded the government to take immediate notice and raise this issue on international plat form.Besides, demonstration was also held by JUI (Fazlur Rehman) district Sanghar on Friday in front of Sanghar press club to protest against the desecration of Holy Quran. Protesters led by Abdul Ghafoor Mengal and Mushtaque Ahmed Memon, raised slogans against the USA . Protesters warned that USA was involved in this illegal act and due to such kind of incidents hatred was created among the Muslims against USA .

MIRPURKHAS March 24. Secretary education department has suspended Zulfiqar Ali Shaikh, assistant account officer of EDO education office Mirpurkhas with immediate affect in charges of being allegedly involved in corruption case. Report said that Zulfiqar Ali Shaikh, assistant account officer , ex district officer education secondary Mirpurkhas Mushtaque Ahmed Kaim Khani and ex junior clerk Ghulam Hussain Bajeer had been booked by anti corruption establishment Mirpurkhas in a case no 6/2011 lodged under section u/s 218, 420, 409, 466, 477 and 34 PPC after approval of higher authorities. Report added that above accused had been misappropriated RS 935000 of scholarships funds of the students of 2004. While accused assistant account officer did not maintain accounts and cash book with connivance of other involved officials. Officials of anti corruption establishment ACE circle office Mirpurkhas told that investigation was being made of this case. 

MIRPURKHAS March 24. District officer health Mirpurkhas Dr Ashfaque Ahmed has said that TB disease was a dangerous disease that was created with micro bacterium tuberculosis germs and added that 68000 people each year were died of TB disease in the country. He was addressing at the seminar held here on Thursday on mark of world TB day that was attended by doctors, lady health workers and Para medical staff. He said that TB patient was early healthy if his treatment was made at the time. He said that this disease was shifted to other person immediately and it was mostly affected to lungs. He said that it was also affected to all the parts of the body including backbone, joints and brain. He said that its complete course was of 8 months and added that poor people were mostly affected of it. Those also spoke Dr Yaqoob, district TB coordinator Dr Javed Mari and Dr Manthar Thebo. Later rally was also taken out in this regard from Para medical and health technician school to main gate of civil hospital Mirpurkhas in which participators of seminars attended the rally.Besides, in Sanghar, a walk was also taken out by district health department Sanghar from EDO health office Sanghar to civil hospital Sanghar. Led by EDO health Sanghar Dr Gul Hassan Magsi, carrying banners and placards, marched and reached at civil hospital where EDO health Dr Gull Hassan Magsi, civil surgeon Dr Farooque Awan and Dr Jamaal Din , speaking at the participators said that 90 lakhs people were affected each year of TB disease in the country. They stressed need of proper treatment of the patients. They said that it’s testing facility and free of cost medicines were being provided to patients at 11 health centers of the district Sanghar. 

MIRPURKHAS March 24. District and sessions court Mirpurkhas has been ordered to free 7 peasants (bonded labours) here on Thursday after recording their statements. Report said that Ramchand Oad had been submitted the application in the sessions court , complaining that his 7 relatives were working as peasant at the lands of landlord Manthar Rajar , in the limit of Phuladyyoon police station, while they were forced to labour work while not being paid their wages or share in crops by above landlord . He said that they were deprived of health facilities and requested the session’s judge to order to concern SHO for releasing detained peasants. SHO Phuladyyoon carried out raid and recovered the detained 7 peasants including Dharshi, Soni etc. Released peasants were produced in the session’s court by Phuladyyoon police. 

MIRPURKHAS March 24. More than 40 houses of peasants in village Waryam Narejo, in the limit of Naoabad police station of district Sanghar were completely gutted of fire on Thursday evening. Report received that fire broke out in a house that engulfed the other houses as result about 40 houses were completely ablaze. Fire brigade of Sindhri, Naoabad and Sanghar were reached at the spot to extinguish the fire. However wheat stock, seeds of crops, house articles, gold and silver ornaments and other goods were completely burnt to ashes, while peasants could save their lives and their cattles from dangerous fire. The names of the affected peasants could not be ascertained. However after hectic efforts of 3 hours, fire was extinguished by fire fighters, report said. The affected peasants were sitting in open sky without any help of district government Sanghar.

MIRPURKHAS March 23. Cotton sowing in the tail end districts of lower Nara canal command area might be late due to sudden shortfall in Nara canal. Report said that cotton sowing will be started from April 1 and cotton growers are busy to prepare their agriculture lands with the help of modern machinery to sow the cotton crop. However, it might be late as water supply has been decreased till 7800 cusec water discharge from 9000 cusec in Nara canal head owing to shortfall in Sukkur barrage. Irrigation department sources further said that during last some day’s water supply was decreased day by day as result acute shortage was created in tail end districts Mirpurkhas, Umerkot and Tharparkar of the lower Nara canal command area. Sources further said that there was required 14000 cusec water discharge in Nara canal head. When contacted Mir Zafarullah Talpure, president Sindh chamber of agriculture district Mirpurkhas chapter has expressed grave concern over the shortage of irrigation water in tail end above districts as result cotton sowing might be affected adversely as it was starting from April 1. He said that about 50 percent water shortage persisting in the command area of the Nara canal and if it was remained further a week, then cotton sowing will be delayed. He demanded the provincial minister for irrigation, secretary irrigation and director Nara canal to take notice of acute shortage of water in tail end areas and ensure supply of required quantity of water to enable the growers to sow cotton at the time for getting more than cotton production. 

MIRPURKHAS March 23. Complete shutter down strike was observed in the city here on Wednesday to protest against the desecration of Holy Quran in USA . Shops in all the markets, bazaars including cloth market, Hilal market, grain market, Khisak Pura, Shahi Bazaar, Mirwah road, M.A.Jinnah road, furniture market, electronic market, Umerkot road, Sir Syed road, Iqbal, road, Jarwary Shakh chowk, Satellite town etc remained close. Strict security arrangements were made by DPO Mirpurkhas as police personnels were deployed at main chowks, markets, sensitive buildings and exit and entry ways of the city to avert any untoward incident. 

MIRPURKHAS March 23. Taluka municipal administration TMA Mirpurkhas has launched anti roaming dog campaign on union council level in the city and advised the citizens to keep their pet dogs indoor. Administrator of the TMA Mirprukhas Abdul Wahab Abbasi, presiding the meeting here on Tuesday, asked the officers to ensure anti roaming dog campaign successful as there had been increased the complaints regarding dog bite cases in the city as well as in outskirts areas of the city. He said that he will not bear any kind of inefficiency and will departmental action if any official demonstrated negligence. 

MIRPURKHAS March 23. Leaders of Jeay Sindh Muttehda Mahaz district Mirpurkhas Khuda Bux Chohan, Dhani Bux Panhwer, Sheral Leghari and others in a joint press statement issued here on Wednesday have strongly condemned the armed attack on the JSMM leader Riaz Leghari by armed Ghunda transporters. They accused that as the leader Riaz Leghari went to talk with transporters on the rally matter that armed transporters including Salamat Lakho have attacked on him. They alleged that those armed transporters were already involved in murder of ex journalist Sultan Mehmood Chandio and other innocent people. They alleged that they were disturbing the peaceful atmosphere of the city. They warned that their organization was not weak. However, they demanded the district administration to immediately take notice of murderous attack of above armed transporters on the JSMM leader Riaz Leghari and ensure arresting of the culprits otherwise strict protest campaign will be launched. 

MIRPURKHAS March 23. Celebrations erupted in the city following Pakistans massive win over west indies in Cricket world cup quarter final.Jubilant youths took to roads soon in their own peculiar style after Pakistan team defeated indies.while aerial firing was also made in different parts of the city. During the match, roads and streets were deserted look while on Mohallah level people had arranged TV set in the street or chowk to see the quarter final match. Sweets were also distributed among the citizens in the different parts of the city.

MIRPURKHAS March 22. Token hunger strike of lecturers and professors of district Mirpurkhas has been entered into 5th consecutive day here on Tuesday in support of their demands in front of local press club. Over a dozen lecturers and professors including Siddique Humayoon, Shakeelur Rehman, Abdul Naeem, Talib Hussain Kaim Khani, Qurban Siaal, Mushtaque Ahmed Shaikh, Sohail Anwer, Abowal Hassan, Zulqarnain Sikandar, Yaqoob Khawar, Proff Razia Arain, Fehmida Ashraf and Shehnaz under the banner of Sindh professors and lecturers association district Mirpurkhas have observed token hunger strike in the hunger striker camp. They were demanding the government to promote them according to time scale, to issue posting orders of 17 to 18 grade and 18 to 19 grades professors ,to cancel the forced transfers of 414 professors and lecturers and to remove the differences of salaries on rural and urban basis. They talking to newsmen asserted that their protest campaign will remained continue till acceptance of their genuine demands.
 
MIRPURKHAS March 22. A married woman was axed to death by her father in Karokari in village Qazi Sahib, near Mirwah Gorchani town here on Tuesday. Report said that accused Abdul Hakeem Manganhar has axed to death his daughter Arbabzadi, 20. Deceased body was brought at civil hospital for post mortem. Taluka police have arrested the accused and recovered involved axe from his pointation. Accused told the newsmen that marriage of his daughter had already been with his nephew but she had illegal relations with other person.
 
MIRPURKHAS March 22. Few villages and agriculture lands were inundated under the irrigation water when breach about 20 feet wide was developed suddenly in Doulatpur minor fed by Jamrao canal near Mirwah Gorchani town. Cultivated crops at hundreds of acres were also damaged. Report received that villagers with the help of irrigation department officials have plugged the breach after their 3 hours hectic efforts. 


MIRPURKHAS March 22. Research experts of cotton crop have advised the cotton growers to buy the certified cotton seed and cultivate the cotton at the proper time that was started from April 1, as in early sowing the crop plant will not be properly grown. Speakers Rafique Ahmed Bilal, research officer of cotton research station Tando Jam, district officer agriculture extension Mirpurkhas Yar Mohammad Khaskheli and assistant district officer agriculture extension Mirpurkhas Abdul Jabbar Memon were delivering their lectures in the seminar “Cultivation of grow more cotton crop”, held in Kaim Khani hall at Jhuddo town on Tuesday that was attended by scores of landlords and growers of taluka Jhuddo. They further advised to prepare their lands for cotton crop properly with modern machinery and get soil test for use of proper fertilization. They further advised that proper use of irrigation water was must for cotton crop. They asked them that they should use the pesticide with consultation of concerned field staff of agriculture department. They said that if they found any spurious fertilization and pesticide at any place point out to field staff and concerned agriculture officer for taking legal action. They advised also to sow the varieties of Tando Jam cotton research station including Sindh-1, Ufaq, Malmal and Cris.Representatives of growers associations Khalid Pervez Sadaf, Mohammad Aslam Kaim Khani, ex nazim union council Jhuddo, Mohammad Ramzan and Ali Nawaz Nondgani apprised their grievances and complained that substandard cotton seed was being sold in taluka Jhuddo and concerned government officials should take action in this regard. They regretted that there was remained also shortage of irrigation water in their taluka as their taluka was situated in tail end of Nara canal system as result mostly their crops were damaged due to non availability of the irrigation water. District officer agriculture extension Mirpurkhas Yar Mohammad Khaskheli told the growers that after receiving the complaints of selling the sub standard cotton seed in taluka Jhuddo, he had been furnished the letter to director general agriculture extension Hyderabad after which director agriculture farm and major crops development Sindh Hyderabad has been addressed the letter to regional director federal seed certificate and registration department for taking samples of suspected cotton seed from the local market and take legal action against involved sellers, however no action was yet appeared in this regard. He said that field staff of agriculture department was remained in contact with growers and growers should consult with them for cultivation of cotton and other crops. 

MIRPURKHAS March 22. Transporters Naved Iqbal, Tyyab Yaseen and Mohammad Tyyab of Transport Ittihad Mirpurkhas have threatened of launching protest campaign including blocking the main Mirpurkhas Mithi road if the district administration did not give permission to bring their vans at their routs from Mirpurkhas to Naokot till March 25. Addressing at a joint press conference held here on Tuesday at local press club. They said that they were run their 36 vans at Mirpurkhas Naokot route for providing cheap and comfortable travel facility but unfortunately district administration Mirpurkhas including secretary Regional transport authority with connivance of owners of the coasters had been imposed ban about 6 months back without any cause , while despite their efforts to bring their vans at their routs but police and influential owners of the coasters did not allow them to run their vans. They further told that they later filed petition in the Sindh high court Hyderabad circuit that passed an order on February 3, 2011 to run coasters and their vans with separate timings. But, they lamented that district administration Mirpurkhas avoided or neglected that order. They alleged that they were not being allowed to run their van after receiving alleged heavy bribe. They said that they were now facing financial crisis as their business of transport was lying closed for last 6 months. They demanded the chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chohadhry, Sindh chief minister, Governor Sindh and other authorities to take immediate notice into this matter, ensure running of their vans at their routs otherwise they would be compelled to launch protest campaign from March 25 and will block the main Mirpurkhas Mithi road and DCO Mirpurkhas, DPO Mirpurkhas and Secretary RTA Mirpurkhas would be responsible of any untoward incident. 

MIRPURKHAS March 22. An elderly man was died in the emergency ward of civil hospital Mirpurkhas here on Tuesday owing to alleged inefficiency and lake of attention of the doctors and staff whiles his relatives and villagers have held protest demonstation in the premises of the civil hospital. Report said that villagers from village Khadim Ali Shah was brought 70 years old Mansook Bheel in emergency of the civil hospital for medical treatment but he was died after some time. His relatives and villagers staged demonstration to protest against doctors and staff’s inefficiency and lake of attention. Leader Kanji Rano Bheel said that there was no arrangement of facilities for patients in civil hospital and accused that without treatment villager Mansook Bheel was died in emergency ward. Civil surgeon Dr Asghar Arain and medical officer Dr Nasrullah Gill told that Mansook Bheel was brought in emergency ward with condition of brain death and with no plus and no blood pressure. While, he was died due to his serious condition. They demanded the district administration to provide the protection to doctors and staffs from aggressive behave of the attenders of the patients.
