MIRPURKHAS Dec 30. Strike was observed here on Wednesday by CNG service centers, on the call of CNG dealers’ association Sindh to protest against increasing of gas charges, gas load shedding and less pressure of gas. Owing to strike, all the CNG service centers remained close while vehicles owners faced great hardships. Vice president of CNG dealers association Sindh Aftab Hussain Qureshi has said in a statement issued here that CNG centers here observed strike to express solidarity with All Pakistan CNG dealers association. He demanded the government to withdraw its decision to increase the price of CNG gas. He further said that due to increase the tarrif of power, CNG vehicle owners would have to suffer additional RS 10. He further said that CNG industry is providing cheap gas to facilitate the masses and it will also be away from the range of masses if its price was enhanced. He urged the government not to enhance the rate of CNG gas as its industry is already going towards the devastation owing to increasing its rate. He appealed the government to remember its promise to keep the difference of 50 percent in the price between petrol and gas. He said that if the government will not accept their demand then this strike could be extending for indefinite period.


MIRPURKHAS Dec 30. Naib Ameer Jamaat e Islami Pakistan and ex senior minister for NWFP Sirajul Haq has accused that U.S.A, India and Israel are involved in the suicide bomb explosions and other bombs explosions in the country as Black water organization comprising terrorists of USA is involved to devastate the Pak Military and country . He was speaking at the ceremony of Jamaat e Islami Mirpurkhas held here on Wednesday. He further said that atmosphere is being created for NATO forces in the country. He said that Black water organization had centers in Islamabad and Lahore and its terrorists were roaming with sophisticated arms without any licenses of arms. He alleged that Black water as setup its network at Karachi where bomb explosions have been started. He advised the government to hold negotiations with people of tribal areas instead to compliance the order of USA against them. Mian Maqsood Ahmed, assistant general secretary JI Pakistan deplored that main fault is in the government if the present government is worked for benefit of masses then masses could pass their life with peace and brotherhood. Ameer JI Sindh Asadullah Bhutto said that present government has been completed its two years tenure but rulers have yet been failed to resolve the grievances of the masses. He alleged that government continued the policies of ex general pervez Musharraf. He strongly condemned the bomb explosion in Karachi on occasion of Aushura. Those also spoke Moulana Javed Ahmed Qasoori and Naib Ameer JI Sindh Dr Merajul Huda Siddique.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 27. 2nd death anniversary of Mohtarma Benazeer Bhutto was observed here on Sunday like other areas of the country with simplicity. Report said that Quran Khawani and Fateha Khawani were held at the office of PPP Mirpurkhas in its office that was attended by hundreds of workers, office bearers including district president and MNA Mir Munawar Ali Talpure, provincial minister for agriculture Syed Ali Nawaz Shah , general secretary Tharo Khan Panhwer etc. On this occasion tribute was paid to great services of Mohtarma Benazeer Bhutto. They prayed to Allah for her departed soul.

He was laid to rest in the Bhansinghabad graveyard. Journalists of National press club Mirpurkhas and Mirpurkhas union of journalist MUJ have condoled with senior journalist Ahmed Saeed Kaim Khani for death of his young son.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 27. Different processions of Matami and Tazia were taken out here on Sunday on 9th Muharram in the city amidst strict security arrangements while hundreds of personnels including Rangers personnels were walking in surrounding of them. They passed through their fixed routs and ended at different places including Imam Bargahs. Later, Majalis were held in the Imam Bargahs in which Zakirs have drawn light to the great sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain and his family for keeping live the Islam. Water Sabils were setup at different places in the city while sweet water, Biryani and Haleem were distributed to the people at different places in the city. Acute shortage of Degs and other goods of decoration shops in the city. Patrolling of law enforcing agencies was continued while DIG Mirpurkhas zone Dr Ameer Ahmed Shaikh, DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon and DPO Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Shaikh kept their several rounds in the city on sunday to monitor the strict security arrangements in the city with reference of Ashura. Till filing of the news no untoward incident was reported from any place of the district.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 26. First ever the classes of four years programme in five different subjects would be launched in the University campus Mirpurkhas in the first week of Jan 2010 under the Sindh University Jamshoro. University campus Mirpurkhas was established here with efforts of Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul ul Abad to fulfill the old demand of students of this region as male and female students of Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Umerkot and Tharparkar would get higher education through this campus. There were 300 seats for admissions in first year of the four year programme in information technology, computer science, Geology, BBA and B.com subjects while admissions of male and female students in the above subjects had been completed through entry test held in the campus under the lecturers of Sindh University Jamshoro. Pro vice chancellor of the campus Dr Iqbal panhwer also supervised the admission process of the students. Recently, two days national conference on“Role of government, non governmental organizations NGOs and private sector in social and Economic development of Pakistan” was held in the Mirpurkhas campus under Sindh University Jamshoro with collaboration of higher education commission Islamabad. Various lecturers and professors have presented their papers in the conference. Chief guest of the concluding ceremony Mazharul Haq Siddique, vice chancellor of Sindh University Jamshoro has said that Sindh University is distributing the degrees to competent students and advised the teachers and students to be punctuated for their classes and be prepared before the classes about their subjects sothat they could get proper and quality education. He said that students of this region would acquire quality education through Mirpurkhas campus. He distributed the certificates among those lecturers and professors who read their papers.


MIRPURKHAS Dec 26. Security has been high alert in the district in the wake of suicide bomb blasting in Peshawar, Rawalpindi and other areas of the country particularly in Moharram month. District administration Mirpurkhas has been made fool proof security arrangements to ensure safety of participators of processions and Majalis even citizens on Ashura. Police and rangers personnel have been deployed in the way of processions of Matami, Tazia etc to be taken out from Imam Bargahs and Azakhana. About 53 processions of Matami, Alam, Tazia etc would be taken out from 59 Imam Bargahs in the district. . About 8 watch tower has been established and 22 close circuit cameras were installed to monitor the positions of the processions, their participators and law and order situation. Report said that security arrangements have been finalized for 9th and 10 th Moharram on Saturday. About 15 places of the district and 11 places of them of the city Mirpurkhas have been officially declared sensitive. Over 1200 police Jawans and over a hundred rangers’ personnel were deployed at Imam Bargahs and Mosques to ensure safety of the people. Besides this, patrolling of rangers and police was continued in the city as well as in the district to avert any untoward incident. Police control rooms have been setup in the offices of DIG Mirpurkhas zone and DPO Mirpurkhas. DPO Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Shaikh told the newsmen that parking of the vehicles would be made away 200 yards from the religious places and Razakars would fixed the special cards of administration incase of their duty during Ashura. He further said that strict implementation is being made on the manner of discipline sothat no any sect might be hurt and nobody will be allowed to take law in their hands. He said that 14 member’s religious peace committee had already been formed on district level with reference of Moharram. On the other hand, citizens have criticized the unnecessary security arrangements in the city causing difficulties to the people.

MIRURKHAS Dec 26. Christian community have celebrated Christmas here also like other areas of the country as special prayers were held in morning of Friday in various Churches as Saint Michal perish home, Saint patras, Saint Teresa, Saint Anthony church, Seven day Church, Church of Pakistan etc situated in the city. Christians including women and children participated in the prayers. They exchanged gifts and cutted the cakes at different places. Younus Ravi advocate, general secretary Saint Michal Perish council told that male and female cricket tournaments were held here on this occasion in the leadership of Father Yaqoob Jim. He further said that Christmas Mela was held at Saint Michal perish Church on Saturday in which different competitions of women and children were held, while the children and women enjoyed with Mela.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 25. 60th birth anniversary was observed by PML (N) Mirpurkhas here on Friday at the residence of local leader comrade Abdul Majeed Rajput. On this occasion comrade Abdul Majeed and other participators including Shaheen Arain, Siraj Shahid, Raja Tanveer, Ch Sohail , Zulfikar Butta, Mir Fatehullah Talpure, Sikandar Ali Jhundeer, Abdul Hameed , Naeem Durrani, Ch Shehzad, Nawab Qureshi, chanesar Shah, Murad Baloch, Haji Bezaar Khan and others have discussed also the party matters. It was told the gathering that Comrade Abdul Majeed Rajput, Kirshan Bheel and Tarique have been taken as members in Sindh organizational committee of PML (N). They decided to increase the membership of the party in the district. Later Comrade Abdul Majeed and other jointly cutted the cake.

MIRURKHAS Dec 25. Tomato crop price has much been decreased following the reaching of more than production in the vegetable markets in lower Sindh as result Tomato growers were deprived of reasonable price of their crop. Report said that some weeks ago, Tomato retail rate was RS 30 to 40 per kilogramme in the region but as the news crop harvested in Mirpurkhas , Umerkot, Badin , Tandoallahyar etc, districts of lower Sindh rate of Tomato decreased as result as it is being sold in retail at Rs6 to 10 per kilogram. Report said that over 50 trucks are daily being transported to different areas of the country from vegetable markets of Kot Ghulam Mohammad, Digri, Mirpurkhas, Tandoallahyar, etc. Growers were bringing the crop in the market in big shoppers from their land while big shoppers contain 10 to 12 kilogramme in the markets where traders are buying the crop through bid of Arhti of vegetable market. An Arthti Sher Mohammad Shah told that a shopper is being sold at RS 5o to 60. He said that more than Tomato crop produced in the region as result business of only Tomato is being made in the markets. Landlords Haji Umer Bughyo and Haji Abdul Ghafoor Maher said that government should export the Tomato crop due to its more than production in the region as average per acre increased here this year. They deplored that growers have been deprived of reasonable price and input has now been increased than output as result growers also derived of profit. They urged the government to export the Tomato crop so that growers might get reasonable price of the crop.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 25. A tractor trolley driver was killed when Mehran express train collided with it at railway Phattak near Jhurbi village, few kilometers from Mirpurkhas sugar mill early morning on Friday. Report said that Mehran express train coming to Mirpurkhas from chore that it was collided with a tractor trolley crossing the railway Phattak as result its driver Mehram Ali , 40, son of Ali Mohammad Mari was died of serious wounds at the spot. His body was brought at civil hospital and after fulfilling the legal formality, his body was handed over to his heirs.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 25. President Farmers organization council FOC Javed Ahmed Junejo has welcomed the decisions of world bank to end the intervention of irrigation department in the world bank project “Water improvement sector programme) WISP, that has been launched in the Sindh province to improve the Sindh irrigation system. In a press statement issued here on Friday, he further said that these decisions were taken after the severe protest of FOC. He said that in 1st phase of WISP, repair and improving work are to be made of 175 channels, 15 branch canales and 5 main canals with cost of RS 15 crors and 70 lakhs dollars. He said that World Bank has launched this project to improve the farmer organization system. He said that now repair and improvement work of all the canals and channels would be made in the supervision of farmer organizations FOs , while engineering work will be supervise by the private engineers would be appointed by world Bank. He accused that bureaucracy of irrigation department was wanted to fail the FOs to run irrigation system successfully in the province. He alleged that Sindh irrigation and drainage department SIDA was established for welfare of FOs but few managing directors of SIDA had become spokesmen of irrigation department as they tried to fail FO system but failed in their efforts. He further said that unless officers of irrigation department taking also salaries of lakhs of rupees from both departments would not be sacked from their jobs this system would not be succeeded. Javed Ahmed Junejo said that provincial minister for irrigation has made efforts to resolve the grievances of the farmers and appealed to provincial minister for irrigation to ensure the registration of farmer organizations FOs of Ghotki area water board and left bank area water board Badin and also sacked the officers of irrigation department getting salaries from SIDA as well as irrigation department and sacked also general manager operation of SIDA for improving the FO system.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 25. Friends’ panel has won the annual election of district bar association Mirpurkhas for 2010 with sufficient difference of the votes here on late Thursday night as there was expected tough contest between United panel and Friends panel . Friends’ panel had supported of PPP while united panel had support of functional Muslim league and other parties. Sultan Ahmed Khan advocate was the election commissioner of the election. Friends’ panel has now been won the election of the bar continuously since 5 years. Eelected president of Friends panel Salahuddin panhwer advocate had been defeated by Sher Mohammad Wassan advocate of united panel in the election of Sindh bar council few months back. However lawyers of friends panel resisted to make Salahuddin Panhwer advocate as candidate for president post in the bar election before the election. Lawyers of friends’ panel have celebrated the success after completion of the vote counting and distributed sweets among the lawyers while they congratulated to each others on the success. Several of them also danced on the success. Poll was started in morning with slow vote casting. However it took speed in noon as vehicles were hired to bring the voters including sleeping voters from far flung areas on behalf of both panels. Election commissioner Sultan Ahmed Khan advocate told that now there are total 521 voters who could caste their votes under the directives of Sindh bar council. However, 441 votes were casted in the election. Tea and meals were served to the voters particularly come from far flung areas on behalf of both panels. Both panels had suffered the payment of fee of their supported voters to get their votes, about 20 voters are government employee as reportedly they could not get membership of the bar under the rule of district bar association. While government employee lawyers had been acquired their enrolment also from Sindh bar council due to unknown causes. Majority of the voters were sleeping lawyers. Following is the elected body as President Salahuddin Panhwer secured 252 votes, vice president Abdul Aziz Memon get 247 votes, general secretary Jan Ali Junejo acquired 278 votes, Joint secretary Nasir Ahmed Khan gained 220 votes, library secretary Mohammad Asif Zai obtained 225 votes and treasurer Shoukat Ali Rahimoon acquired 255 votes. It may be recalled that till five years back, candidates were elected unopposed in the election of the bar as there was complete hold of Yousuf Leghari group while some lawyers were in opposition that time but Salahuddin Panhwer who is a young lawyer and had acquired support of youth lawyers entered into the scenario of the bar and created massive opposition in the bar against the Yousuf Leghari group with his intelligence as result for last four years Friends panel had won the election of the bar and now 5th times friends panel won the election . Lawyers of Yousuf Leghari group had changed the name of panel few years back.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 25. Naik Atta Mohammad Rajput, who was martyred in Operation Rah e Nijaat, was buried with full military protocol here on Friday in the Fauji graveyard of Satellite town. Thousands of people including Leughtanent colonel Mubashir, incharge MQM Mirurkhas zone Azeem Danish, and members zonal committee, Zila Naib Nazim Dr Zafar Ahmed Kamali, MPA Faheem Ahmed Altafi, taluka Nazim Ghulam Dastageer Kamali etc attended his funeral and they also raised slogans in the favor of Pak Military. Report said that Naik Atta Mohammad Rajput, 38, was Martyrds in operation Rah e Nijat on Thursday while his body was brought here on Friday morning. He left behind a widow, 3 sons and a daughter. Flower wreath was laid on the grave of martyred on behalf of president of Pakistan, chief of army staff and 18 divisions.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 24. Flag march was made by law enforcement agencies here on Thursday to maintain law and order situation of the city due to Moharram month. Led by SP investigation Zafar Iqbal, over a dozens vehicles including police and rangers vehicles took part in the flag march that passed from different roads including M.A. Jinnah road, Umerkot road, station road, Gharibabad road, Sir Syed road, ring road, etc.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 24. Deputy district officer revenue taluka Mirpurkhas Ammara Aamir Khattak along with drug inspector Sain Dino Nohri has carried out raids at the different medical stores to check the medicines in the city and caught samples of the medicines, expired medicines and intoxicated medicines from Mehboob medical store situated at Khipro road here on Thursday. Recovered medicines and samples were sealed for taking legal action against the owner of the above medical store. Report said that above raiding party conducted raid at Muhajid medical store, Rehman medical store , Bilal medical store and Shah medical store and during the checking of the record their licences were not renewed while they had been submitted annual fee of the licences through challan farm. When contacted DDO revenue Mirpurkhas Ammara Aamir Khattak said that warning has been issued to the above medical stores as their licences were not renewed as they were given time by government till Dec 31st , 2009 to complete government requirements after which their licences would be cancel.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 22. Opposition leader Sindh assembly and leader of PML (functional league) Jam Madad Ali has said that personality of Hazrat Pir Sahab Pagara is the symbol of unity and safety of the country and added that reorganization of PML (Functional league) is continued in the leadership ofPir Sadrudding Shah Rashdi, president PML (F) Sindh. He was speaking as chief guest at the ceremony of 81st birth anniversary of Hazrat Pir Sahab Pagara held here on Sunday that was attended by hundreds of office bearers and workers of PML (F). He further advised the workers and office bearers to be united and work door to door to apprise the people about the peace message of Hazrat Pir Sahab pagara. State minister for live stock Jadam Mangrio said that owing to party chief Hazrat Pir Sahab Pagara today he is the state minister and said that he selected the sincere persons for high ranking office to resolve the grievances of the masses . He hoped that in hisguiding to government, country will more be strengthened. General Secretary PML (functional) Sindh Nawab Rashid Ali Khan said that Hazrat Pir Sahab pagara has been paying his vital role to strengthen the country while Hur Fauj has also been fighting with enemies along with Pak military on the border. He advised the office bearers and workers to work hard to get more than votes in the election. Asad Ali Khan Junejo said that Hazrat Pir Sahab Pagara had given his great services for the strengthen of the country. He said that functional league is resolving the grievances of the masses in the leadership of Pir pagara. Ghulam Nabi Mangrio said that he is remained present in the district Mirpurkhas to hear the problems of the party workers and office bearers and added that party‘s system has been setup in the district Mirpurkhas particularly and people are joining the party after being convinced. MIRPURKHAS Nov 22. A 35 years old Mohammad Tarique, resident of Gulberg Town has committed suicide by hanging himself with rope here on Sunday. Report said that Mohammad Tarique was working in the office of Amanullah Soomro advocate, while report added that due to domestic affair, he hanged himself with rope. Town police after getting information went to the site and shifted his body to Mortuary of civil hospital where post mortem of the body was made and later body was handed over to heirs.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 20. A teenager boy was killed and six persons including a woman and two children were injured in two different accidents here on Friday. Report said that two motor cycles were collided head on near Tagosar in the limit of Phuladyyoon police station as result Ashok Bhatt, 10, son of Bhoryo Bhatt died on the spot while three persons Bhoryo Bhatt, father of the deceased boy , Gulzar Chandio and Sajid Chandio sustained injuries , rushed to basic health unit Phuladyyoon for first aid. In another accident, a motor cycle was collided with a speedy truck at ring road near Shrine Jumman Shah as result MST Nasreen wife of Nadeem, resident of Hirabad, her two children Naeema and Naeem sustained injuries, rushed to civil hospital Mirpurkhas where they were provided medical assistance and admitted in the surgical ward of the hospital .

MIRPURKHAS Nov 20. Sindh Para medical staff welfare association has strongly condemned through a resolution against the anti para medical behave of one Mohammad Musharraf. Meeting of para medical staff association was held here on Friday presided by its president Nazeer Ahmed Detho. Meeting termed illegal the issuance of press release and others and calling himself as president of para medical staff association by one Mohammad Musharraf. Meeting said that Mohammad Musharraf has no any link with Sindh Para medical staff association because of his case is in the court and he had already been retired from service about five years back. Meeting demanded the Sindh chief ministerand Governor Sindh to take notice of illegal practice of above person and stop his blackmailing by taking drastic measures.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 20. Strict contest is expected between two candidates Sher Mohammad Wassan Advocate and Salahuddin Panhwer advocate in the election of member Sindh bar council from Mirpurkhas defunct division to be scheduled on Saturday Nov 21st , 2009 as there are total 653 votes as 190 votes are in Tandoadam, Sanghar and Shahdadpur and 463 votes are in Mirpurkhas , Tharparkar and Umerkot bar associations. One seat of member Sindh bar council is from this division. 1st senior civil Judge Mirpurkhas and 2nd senior civil judge Mirpurkhas would be the presiding officer while 4 polling boths would be setup at Mirpurkhas, Shahdadpur, Tandoadam and Sanghar. Polling will be started from 8 AM to 5 PM. Sher Mohammad Wassan is contesting on behalf of Yousuf Leghari advocate group, while contester Sher Mohammad Wassan has the support of senior lawyers , however mostly youths lawyers are supporting to candidate Salahuddin panhwer advocate. Sher Mohammad Wassan advocate was elected unopposed as member Sindh bar council in 2004-05 while he remained also ex general secretary of district bar association Mirpurkhas. Candidate Salahuddin panhwer advocate was elected three times as president district bar association Mirpurkhas and he has credit along with his colleagues lawyers to create opposition before the group of Yousuf Leghari advocate in district bar association Mirpurkhas and brought the changes in the bar as defeated four times to the panel of Yousuf leghari advocate in the election of district bar association Mirpurkhas. Salahuddin panhwer advocate is the young lawyer and has complete support of young lawers particularly as in his tenure more than youth lawyers were made members of the bar association Mirpurkhas. Both candidates have been convincing the lawyers throughout Mirpurkhas division to caste their votes in their support. Banners and Pamphlets were fixed in and out of the building
of bar association Mirpurkhas. General secretary of the district bar association Mirpurkhas Mir Naeem Talpure told that first time after 1979, election of Sindh bar council was holding in the Mirpurkhas division as in 1979, Yousuf leghari advocate and retired justice Allah Dino Memon were contested in the election of Sindh bar council from here in which Yousuf Leghari advocate win the seat and elected as member Sindh bar council after which sofar instead to hold the election, unopposed members were elected from here due to complete hold of Yousuf leghari group. Preparation of arrangements to hold the election was continued till filing of this news.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 17. Deputy programme manager school management committee SMC Saba Mushtaque has said that there was need to utilize the funds of school management committee in correct and proper manner sothat facilities might be available for the students in schools. This said, while she was speaking at a seminar held here. According to handout issued here on Tuesday, she said that workshops are being held in 23 districts of the province that will provide knowledge to common persons regarding the school management. He said that purpose holding the seminars was to create awareness with reference of SMC among the people sothat educational atmosphere might be created in the society and they could strengthen their future. She said that RS 4.99 millions have sofar been provided to 18278 school management committees in which including primary, middle and secondary schools. She said that NGOs should play their role and work jointly with Assistant districtofficers and district officers. Monitoring officers Riaz Dahir, Mohammad Taufique and Afzal Channa said that on behalf of government schools are to run through SMC guideline and added that SMC have priority to make better educational standard in the government schools. They said that schools be repaired with SMC funds and added that installed a board regarding school management plan SIP outside the school building sothat common persons might be known the facilities are available in the school. They said that first of all basic needs be provided to the school for better atmosphere of the school. They said that all the district officers realized their responsibilities and take interest in the work sothat dilapidated condition of the school might be renovated. District officers of education department also participated in the seminar.

MIRPURKHAS Nov.11. Ms Seema wife of Waryam who was detained in taluka Mithi for last four years was returned to house of her mother few days back following publishing news in the newspapers . Talking to newsmen here on Tuesday, Ms Seema allegedly accused that her marriage was made with one Waryam about five years back while she was kept in Mithi where Haji Rehmatullah Jinjhi, Haji Shoukat Jinjhi and their driver Liaqat forcibly raped with her various times as result she was pregnant and came back to her mother Ms Nazeera alias Razia Baloch here later Haji Rehmatullah Jinjhi came here and assured her mother that she will live at Mithi town and she will be allowed to meet with relatives on which she added that her mother sent her along with her little sister Ms Maryam with Haji Rehmatullah Jinjhi to Mithi where he did missing her little sister and kept her in illegal detention at unknown whereabouts while with willingness of her jobless husband , she wasallegedly raped by Haji Rehmatullah Jinjhi, Haji Shoukat Jinjhi and their driver Liaqat . She expressed that she remained in illegal detention for four years during this they forced her to pass night with influential personalities of Thar. She told that one and half month back she was shifted to residence of Hayat Pahor, taluka Kunri by Haji Rehmatullah Jinjhi where she was raped by Hayat Pahore various times. She alleged that during last four years she born two children of Haji Rehmatullah Jinjhi. She said that her little sister Ms Maryam, 14, is still missing and they kept her in illegal captivity. She said that after publishing news regarding her illegal detention, Haji Rehmatullah Jinjhi brought her here from Kunri taluka and handed over to her mother with serious threats that if she informed to anyone against him , he will kill her and her children . She told that she has been submitted her application in the local court for getting divorce fromher so-called husband. She demanded the president Asif Ali Zardari and chief justice IftikharMohammad Chohadhry to take immediate notice into this matter, ensure registration of her case , arresting those had committed rap with her and recover her kidnapped little sister Ms Maryam. Nazeera alias Razia Baloch said in weeping condition that Haji Rehmatullah had asked her to return to her little daughter Ms Maryam but now he and his colleagues are saying that she had been died of illness and they are ready to give her compensation. She said that she believed that her little sister is live and kept her in illegal confinement. She demanded the president of Pakistan and chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chohadhry to ensure recovery of her kidnapped daughter and register her FIR and arrest the involved culprits. When tried to contact with Haji Rehmatullah Jinjhi for his comments through mobile call but he was not present in his house while his servant told thathe went to attend last ceremony of deceased in rural areas of Thar.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 11. Scores of people belong to Banglani community have held protest demonstration on Tuesday outside the Kot Ghulam Mohammad police station against the police excesses with a innocent person and implicating him in false case after receiving alleged illegal gratification. Protesters led by Mohammad Khan Banglani have raised slogans against the police and demanded the Sindh chief minister , Governor Sindh and provincial police officer to take immediate notice and get released the innocent person and punished the responsible police officials of Kot Ghulam Mohammad. Talking to newsmen, protesters Mohammad Khan Banglani, Qadir Bux Banglani, Ahmed Khan Banglani and others said that Hoot Khan Banglani on morning Nov 7th was on his way in the Datsun pickup that armed persons Shafique, Iqbal, Yousuf and others by caste Arain resident of village Haji Sardar Deh 252, taluka Kot Ghulam Mohammad intercepted the datsun pickup and after exchanging hotwords , they subjected to torture to Hoot Khan Banglani with axe and sticks as result he sustained serious head and other wounds on the body and handed over him to Kot Ghulam Mohammad police , while, they accused that influential personalities of ruling party supporting the attackers and pressurized the KGM police and then police after taking illegal gratification registered the false case under section 457, 380, 411, 324 and 34 PPC ( attempt to murder and theft ) against Hoot Khan Banglani on the complaint of Shafique Ahmed Arain . They further said that injured detained was taken to taluka hospital Kot Ghulam Mohammad where he was provided first aid and remained admitted for a day, after which, they alleged that he was again detained with KGM police station instead to keep him admitted in the hospital for complete treatment . They deplored that Hoot Khan Banglani was seriously injured and he required yet of proper medical treatment but due to pressureof influential personalities he was being kept in the lock up. They called upon the higher authorities to take notice, get admitted him in the hospital for proper treatment and withdraw the false case against him by holding impartial inquiry with honest police officer

MIRPURKHAS Nov 10. Chokidar of Gyne ward of civil hospital Mirpurkhas has made unsuccessful the efforts of two persons to enter forcibly in the Gyne ward in drunk condition here on late Monday night while town police have identified one of the accused and trying to arrest him. Civil surgeon of civil hospital Mirpurkhas Dr Asghar Arain told that he was informed in night that two unknown persons in drunk condition trying to enter forcibly into the Gyne ward on which he reached at the spot where Chokidar Ishaque Masih had already been made their efforts unsuccessful to enter into the Gyne ward while he added that he also informed to town police after which SHO town Mir Mohammad Mangrio reached at the spot. But both unknown persons escaped away from the spot. He said that above chokidar was in past beated by above persons that non cognizable report was lodged with town police station about 15 days back. He deplored that police were not taking interest to nab the accused.When contacted SHO town Mir Mohammad Mangrio said that he has been identified one of them as Sardar Siaal and for his arresting he went to his house at Siaal colony but he was not present there. He said that he is making efforts to nab him with the help of his elder brothers. It may be recalled that on Oct 27, a new born infant baby of Alloo Bheel was kidnapped by a unknown woman from the Gyne ward of the civil hospital Mirpurkhas which FIR was lodged with town police station on the complaint of Alloo Bheel against the unknown woman. While strict security arrangements were made in all the wards of the civil hospital Mirpurkhas by civil hospital administration following the incident of kidnapping of the new born baby.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 10. President Sindh para medical staff welfare association Nazeer Ahmed Detho has expressed his concern over the suspension of women medical officers and staff of Gyne ward civil hospital Mirpurkhas and demanded the secretary health to reinstate them as they were innocent . He was talking to newsmen here on Tuesday at local press club. He said that inquiry ordered by civil surgeon of civil hospital Mirpurkhas has revealed that a cunny or claver woman had taken benefit of innocent woman patient and kidnapped the new born infant from the ward. He said that inquiry report said that doctors and staff were not responsible in this incident as except 22 baded ward, OPD, EPI center and MCH center were also being run in the building of Gyne ward as result there was remained a rush of women and other unconcerned people. He said that administration should shift the OPD in other place and above other centers sothat doctors and staff properly couldwatch the patients and their attenders in the ward . He said that unknown woman had taken the new born baby to unknown whereabout from her mother laying at the bad, while unknown woman was early sitting with the attender woman of the patient’ woman. He said that it might be a deep conspiracy to defame the administration of the civil hospital as senior woman medical officer Dr Qamarun Nisa was busy in C section (operation in the operation theater) at the time of this incident, while lady doctor Hameeda Leghari was busy at the counter. He further said that para medical staff were also busy in their duties when this incident took place. He termed innocent the doctors and staff of the Gyne ward and urged the higher authorities to take bold step into this matter by reinstating the suspended concerned doctors and staff and resolve this matter with the help of police.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 10. The Society for Protection of Rights of the Child (SPARC), an NGO, has launched a five-day campaign from Monday 9th November to 13th November to create awareness about the plight and problems of bonded laborers and proper implementation of bonded labour laws. This was stated by Kashif Bajeer National Manager Bonded labour Programme and Nazra Jhan SPARC, while addressing at a press conference at local press club here on Monday. He further said that this campaign was being simultaneously launched in different cities of Pakistan and would end with a Freed bonded labour festival to be scheduled on November 13th atHyderabad. He said that liberated bonded laborers and activists of civil society organizations,trade unions, Media persons, Lawyers, Human Rights Activists and other stakeholder would participate in the campaign. They demanded the government to provide land to liberated bonded laborers and skilled workers to enable them to earn livelihood. They called the rulers that existing laws Bonded labor Abolition Act 1992 and Rules 1995 on bonded labour be implemented in letter and spirit and a parliamentary committee be constituted to review the existing laws. He expressed that in the light of Supreme Court directives of October 20, 2006 to the provincial chief secretaries as a short term measure, the standing operating procedure be adopted by the provincial governments forintroducing a mechanism through the labour department for registration of brick kilns. He further said that access to bonded labour funds should be simplified and the institution of districtvigilance committees should be activated by linking it to provincial legal aid cells. He said that the recovery of the family of Mannu Bheel should be given priority by the government and superior judiciary. They called upon the government to implement international conventions and minimum wages in different sectors of economy, including informal sector. He claimed that tens of thousands of laborers in the country, particularly in southern Sindh andPunjab, lived in miserable conditions at agriculture farms and brick kilns. He added that so far 6,000 bonded laborers had been liberated through courts. He appealed to the print and electronic media to espouse the cause of bonded labour. He told that the SPARC was successfully running bonded labour projects in Mithi, Umerkot, Sanghar and Hyderabad district of Sindh and also in Muzaffargarhin collaboration with TROCAIRE an international organization. He said that the NGO had been instrumental in providing NICs to 10,000 bonded laborers and the registration of their votes and birth of their children. The NGO had established a legal cell to provide free legal aid to the families of bonded laborers, Mr.Bajeer further told that there are at least 1.7million people in bonded labor in agriculture sector in Pakistan. This is in addition to the large number of bonded laborers in brick kilns, carpet weaving, mining etc., despite the fact that Pakistan’s Constitution and related laws abolish the evil practice of bonded labor. “Freedom is the brother of justice” and added that we can only eliminate bonded labor if we accept that it exists. It may be mentioned here that the Minister for Bonded Labor Sindh said that there is no bonded labor in Pakistan. He added “no one has the right to snatch one’s freedom”. It is unjust that a few thousand rupees enslave them. Under Bonded Labor System AbolitionAct only ‘six’ punishments have been awarded. Its implementation through vigilance committees is still awaited and Bonded Labor Fund remains unutilized.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 8. One day free medical camp was held by Al Khidmat foundation Jamaat e Islami Mirpurkhas here on Sunday at Al Khidmat hospital Satellite town that was inaugurated by Dr AsgharArain, civil surgeon of civil hospital Mirpurkhas. Famous experts Dr Masoom Ali Syyadi, Dr Abdul Saboor, Dr Zafar Ahmed Shaikh, Dr Naved Iqbal, Dr Shamsul Aarfeen, Dr Partab Poori and Dr Mir Azam Azeem have examined the poor patients of different diseases, provided them medicines free of cost. Besides this, all laboratory tests, Ultrasound, Xray, test of hepatitis B and C were made on 50 percent discount. On this occasion, chief guest Dr Asghar Arain said that JI is come to forward in difficult time to give services to the human being. MIRPURKHAS Oct 11. Protest demonstration and token hunger strike was observed by Sindh Tarraqi Passand Party district Mirpurkhas here on Sunday in front of local press club to protest against depriving the Sindhi people from their rights and Sindh resources, lawlessness and police failure to arrest the involved killers of Jumman Gutka and Shehzad Kalar. Protest demonstration was held outside the local press club led by Darya khan Maher , carried banners and placards, demanded the government to give provincial autonomy to the Sindh government, control the lawlessness and ensure arresting of the assailants of Jumman Gutka and Shehzad Kalar. Speakers accused that government has been failed to control the lawlessness while terrorist activities have been increased in the province. They accused the police for their failure to nab the involved culprits of murder of Jumman Gutka and Shehzad Kalar. Later, various activists of STPP district Mirpurkhas have observed the token hunger strike including Khalid Babbar, Darya Khan Maher, Abdul Razzak , Zahoor Leghari etc.

MIRPURKHAS Sept 8. World literacy day was also observed here as a rally was taken out by education department Mirpurkhas here on Tuesday from government Modal high school Mirpurkhas to local press club. Participators led by EDO education Abdul Majeed Hur, carried banners and placards, marched through main roads and reached at local press club. Different slogans including common education, education for all, creating awareness for education in the people and increasing the literacy rate were written on the banners and placards. Officers of education department including Jaleel Lashari, Kamla Devi, district officers, NGOs, UNICEF, SEVAPAK, NCHD, teachers and students participated in the rally. On this occasion EDO education Majeed Hur and others urged the parents to send their children to schools for getting education and added that we all should be united to work to increase the literacy ratio in the country.

MIRPURKHAS Sept 8. Dr Ameer Ahmed Shaikh has been taken over the charge as DIG Mirpurkhas zone here after the transfer of ex DIG Mirprukhas Mushtaque Maher here on Monday. It may be recalled that in past DR Ameer Ahmed Shaikh had also been services as DPO Mirpurkhas and DPO Sanghar in past. DPO Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Shaikh and DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon and other officers of defunct Mirpurkhas division here on Tuesday have called on him in his office and discuss the law and order situation of the district Mirpurkhas as well as political situation.

MIRPURKHAS Sept 8. Haji Mohammad Yousuf Gaya , founder of Gaya group has said that Gulistan e Mazoreen center Mirpurkhas is paying great services for the disable persons including women and added that he has been impressed of its administration that is comprising also on disable persons and they were providing different training of skills , English speaking classes, computer training, handy crafts etc without any discrimination. He was speaking as chief guest at the ceremony of cloth suits and Eid gifts distribution held here on Tuesday at Gulistan e Mazoreen center Mirpurkhas. He further said that Gaya trust will support the disable persons and their institutions without any discrimination. He appealed the Philanthropists to come forward and help of the disables and needy people particularly on occasion of Ramzan and Eidul Fitre. Javed Malik, president of the center presented the efficiency report of the center and told that his center is providing the tri cycles to the disables without any discrimination free of cost. General Secretary Lal Baloch and Treasurer Malik Qamaruddin also spoke the ceremony. Later Haji Mohammad Yousuf Gaya has distributed 200 cloth suits among the 200 disables including women and RS 200 to each disables as Eid gift.

MIRPURKHAS Sept 7. District administration Mirpurkhas has been caught corruption of the flour mills supplying the subsidized flour bags for distribution among the poor people including women as hundreds of flour bags (10 kilograms per bag) were being supplied short or less by the flour mills in the district. Report said that DDO revenue Mirpurkhas Ammara Aamir Khattak had detected the corruption when she found short supply of flour bags in taluka Mirpurkhas against its quota by Noor Shah Flour mill. She carried out raid and found absent the food inspector Nazeer Ahmed Soomro, who was deployed there to check the quality of the flour and sending the correct quantity of the flour bags and she also found that short supply of the bags was being made from the flour mill. She submitted her report to DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon who suspended the above food inspector and ordered the inquiry which was conducted by revenue officers and officers of fooddepartment Mirpurkhas while the inquiry report revealed that hundreds of bags were being provided short or less for distribution by the flour mills including Noor Shah flour mill, Memon flour mill, Siddique flour mill, Al- Saeed flour mill , Sindhri flour mill and Chundija flour mill in the district . DCO Mirpurkhas took serious notice and forced the above flour mills to provide correct quantity of flour bags according to wheat quota being provided to the flour mills by the food department Mirpurkhas and also provide the flour bags of 12 days that had been short by the flour mills. Now 139 flour bags have been increased daily in the quota of taluka Mirpurkhas as total 1739 flour bags. On Monday, flour bags were distributed among the poors at villages Bughio farm, Tarani farm, Ali Hassan Shah and Kak Bunglow.

MIRPURKHAS Sept 7. Harvesting of new chili crop has begun in the Mirpurkhas and Umerkot districts as new chili crop was arriving in the chili markets at Kunri, Jhuddo etc. Report said that chili crop was sowed at about 70000 to 80000 acres in the province while its main areas of cultivation are Umerkot and Mirpurkhas districts. Its harvesting has been started after the rainfall here and growers were also sending it to the chili markets including Kunri market that is the biggest chili market of the country. Mostly red chili (Dandi cut or Longi) was sowed in this region that is unique and best quality of chili in the world. Report said that 50 to 100 chili bags of new crop were arriving daily in Kunri market and few weeks ago its rate was At RS 4500 per maund however recently its rate has been decreased at RS 4200 per maund. When contacted Mian Mohammad Saleem, president red chili growers association said that due to recent rainfall, chili crop was damagedat various places while its first fruit was lost due to rainfall , however, he added that now harvesting is continued with full swing in the region. He advised the Chili growers to struggle to decrease the moisture 8 to 9 percent in the chili crop to control the Aflatoxin (fungus) by improving the process of plucking and drying the crop. He said that different experiments to remove the Aflatoxin from chili crop are continued with the help of private company at his farm land and after successful experiments he will spread that strategy among the chili growers and chili exporters.
MIRPURKHAS Sept 6. People are facing great hardships due to power outages frequently even at the time of Iftar and Sehri as load shedding is continued for 8 to 10 hours daily in the hesco Mirpurkhas division. People are experiencing long power outages causing difficulties to the people as well as industries and businesses. Power supply was suspended at the time of Iftar and Sehri also as business activities are affecting adversely as Eid buying was continued by the people including women and children. Indoor patients are suffering also in government hospitals including civil hospital Mirpurkhas. Sewerage system and water supply system of taluka municipal administrations are also affecting as result water shortage created in various areas of the city and other town. Function of cotton factories, flour mills, oil spellers, chaki, ice factories and other industries are affecting due to frequent power off. Talking to this correspondent citizen M. Arif Khan,Furqan Ahmed, Aijaz Panhwer and others strongly condemned the hesco officials for long power outages and power failure at the time of Iftar and Sehri. They said that government had announced that load shedding will not be made at the time of Iftar and Sehri but hesco officials are violating of that announcement as power outages continued even at the time of Iftar and Sehri. They accused that early morning at 4.30 AM power failure occurred and power supply was restored at 6.30 PM as result citizens faced hardships to make Sehri. They demanded the hesco chief to take immediate notice and ensure proper supply of power without any interval even at the time of Iftar and Sehri. When contacted the office of XEN hesco Mirpurkhas but no officer was available for giving his comments.

MIRPURKHAS Sept 6. A robber was arrested by police and citizens after chasing him while his two accomplices managed to escape from the Jamnadas colony here on Sunday. Report said that a robber Ashique Shah with arms entered forcibly into the house of Khushhall Das while his two accomplices Asif Baloch and Kashif Baloch were standed outside the house that robber Ashique Shah held hostages to the inmates on gun point but few inmates suddenly made hue and cry on which a constable of 15 Madadgar police Nadeem Ajmeri , passing from there stopped and area people also gathered there during this heavy contingents of police were also called . Seeing the police robber Ashique Shah tried to escape from there but police and area people ran behind him and caught him with his pistol. Town police have lodged the case against the robber Ashique Shah and his two above accomplices who had been escaped from the spot. Police were interrogating with the arrested robber andconducting the raids for nabbing his escaped accomplices.

MIRPURKHAS Sept 6. Defence day was celebrated here also on Sunday as on behalf of Tanzeem Shuhda e Afwaj Pakistan Mirpurkhas, ceremony was held at Shuhda e graveyard Satellite town in the president ship of Mohammad Yaseen Chohan while Mirza Masroor Baig was the chief guest. Speakers on this occasions paid rich tribute to the martyrds military officials who had given their live sacrifices in the battle of 1965. Those presented tribute Mirza Masroor Baig, Mohammad Yaseen Chohan, Saeed Ahmed Hashmi, Mohamamd Hassan Mahir Ajmeri, Rasheedullah Mansoori, etc. later they laid flower wreaths on the grave of Military Martyrds and performed Fateha Khawani. In another ceremony, Group warden B civil defence Mirpurkhas Khalilullah Khan, deputy group warden Murad Ali , Hakeem Syed Iftikhar Ali , Samiullah Khan, Tehseen Ahmed Khan and others have paid rich tributed to the great sacrifices of Military Martyrds of 1965 and performed Fateha Khwani at their graves.

MIRPURKHAS Sept 4. Chairman Sindh Tarraqi Passand Party Dr Qadir Magsi has demanded the impartial accountability through independent judicial commission of all the rulers, generals and establishment since 1947 to up till now. He was speaking at a press conference here on Thursday night. He further said that not only Pervez Musharraf , cases be lodged against General Ayub Khan, Yahya Khan, Akhtar Abdul Rehman and General Ziaul Haq and recovered the looted wealth of the nation from their heirs also . He urged the authorities to arrest the Pervez Musharraf and produce him in the court in charges of massacres in Balochistan and Lal Masjid, murders of Nawab Akbar Bugti and Benazeer Bhutto. In reply few questions he said that present government is implementing on the policies of Pervez Musharraf. He said that nation is disturbed due to imposing different taxes and price hike while rulers are not reducing their expenses. He said that he is against the MQM butall Urdu speaking are his brothers. He expressing that government is talking about reconciliation then it should get rid to the people of Jacobabad, Sukkur and Shikarpur from growing crime by appointing few criminals as minister and advisors as rulers are already implementing on this policy.

Protesters led by Ameer JI Mirpurkhas Zafar Iqbal Mujahid, carried banners and placards raised slogans against the government and demanded the authorities to take notice of increase in petrol price, unemployment and price hike. Speaking at the protesters Zafar Iqbal Mujahid said that masses were already disturbed due to increase in prices of sugar and flour but government without any cause fell down a heavy petrol bomb on the masses as result a new move will come of hike and other things will be adversely affected. He accused that nation had become begger due to fail policies of rulers. He deplored that elderly people, women and children are standing in queues as beggers for acquiring the flour and sugar even they werefacing also baton charge. He alleged that rulers are expensing millions of rupees for going abroad while in Pakistan masses are deprived of subsidized sugar and flour. He demanded the supreme court of Pakistan to take suo moto notice of price hike and increase in petrol price and take stern legal action against those disturbing the innocent masses. Azizur Rehman also spoke the protesters.


MIRPURKHAS Sept 4. Less quantity of subsidized flour bags were being provided to the people including women through flour stalls in the city and other areas of the district amidst disturbance of the people while only revenue officials are distributing the bags at the stalls. There are complaints of less security arrangements at the stalls as only three to five constables and a lady constable are deployed at the stall to control the thousands of people including women. People complained to this scribe that police personnels and political workers had become the mafia getting forcibly the flour bags from the distributors. They urged the authorities to increase the sufficient quantity of flour bags for distribution among the poors. Owing to negligence of food department officials, revenue officials had been deployed also at Noor Shah Flour mill that is supplying the flour bags to the stalls of taluka Mirpurkhas for checking the quality and packaging the bagsand sending them to the stalls in security. Meanwhile, DCO Mirpurkhas has directed the concerned officers to provide the flour bags from flour mills according to quota of Sindh government sothat flour at RS 10 per kilogramme might be provided to the poors. Presiding over a meeting of officers of food department and owners of flour mills held here on Friday. He asked the officials to make better arrangements for subsidized flour and provide also adequate security to the all flour stalls.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 2. Hundreds of residents of Gulshan colony , Satellite town have held protest demonstration here on Tuesday night at Chandni chowk to protest against negligence of hesco officials as result inmates of a house were fortunately escaped while two buffalow were electrocuted after falling the 11000 KV high tension wires. While power supply to hesco Satellite town sub division remained closed for seven hours. Report said that wires of high tension line 11000 KV were crossing from upper side of a house of Gulshan colony that suddenly few wires broke and fell down as result two buffalos were electrocuted while fortunately inmates of that house remained safe. Residents of the colony gathered and staged protest demonstration at Chandni chowk due to negligence of the officials of Hesco Satellite town sub division. Enraged protesters led by Riaz Jalbani burnt the old tyres at the main roads as result traffic was suspended at Mirwah road for two hours.Protesters raised slogans against the hesco officials. Hesco officials came there to repair the broken wires were also manhandled by the protesters. However, heavy contingents of police present there intervened and save the hesco officials who started their repair work in protection of police. Protesters told the newsmen that residents had complained various times to concerned hesco authorities for replacement of the high tension wires from the house but authorities did not give attention even few months back, a resident had been electrocuted when he was climbing at the roof of his house during this he was touched with high tension wires passing across his house. They demanded the hesco chief to order an impartial inquiry into this matter and punish the responsible officials. Later, the protesters were dispersed after the assurance of police to repair the broken wires and restoration of the power supply. Report added that after seven hours, power supplywas restored in Satellite town area.

MIRPURKHAS Sept 2. Water supply is not receiving in different parts of the city causing great difficulties to the citizens. Report said that citizens of Ayub Nagar, Adam town, Khad Plot, Gharibabad, Khari quarter , P.M colony and others localities are deprived of water supply for last few months causing great hardships to the citizens . Ex councilors and local leaders of Pakistan Muslim league functional Basheer Ahmed , Saeed Hashmi , Nisar Ahmed Siddique and others told the newsmen that citizens of above localities are disturbed and demanded the district administration and taluka nazim Mirpurkhas to immediately ensure water supply to their areas without any delay . They said that concerned officials should not disturb the citizens even in Ramzan month. They deplored that taluka nazim Mirpurkhas Ghulam Dastageer Kamali had promised to supply the water in above areas but his promise was not yet fulfilled and citizens are bringing the drinking water fromfar flung areas and also getting water from hand pumps. They warned that if the water supply was not restored to above areas then people would be compelled to hold protest demonstration against the TMA Mirpurkhas.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 31. Rainfall with thunderstorm hit the Mirpurkhas and other towns and cities of the district here on Sunday night. Report said that rainfall remained continue for an hour as result low lying areas of the city were inundated under the rainy water while rainywater was also standed at the main roads and streets of the city as result citizens faced hardships . Rainfall remained continue intermittently whole night. As the rainfall started power supply was suspended in the city however, power supply was restored after three hours in Hirabad sub division and Satellite town sub division. However in linking and city feeders of hesco city sub division power supply might not be restored till Monday morning as result citizens faced hardships even made Sehri in darkness. Owing to rainfall with thunderstorm, various trees and sign boards were uprooted. Rainfall occurred also at Mirwah Gorchani, Digri, Jhuddo, Naokot, Kot Ghulam Mohammad, Jhilori, ShadiPalli, Old Mirpur, Khaan, Patoyoon, Sindhri, Phuladyyoon etc. Owing to stagnant rainy water at the ways in rural areas as result mostly common villagers could not be reached in the city for their work. Sanitary staffs of the TMA Mirpurkhas were not seen at their duties in morning and citizens have demanded the authorities to ensure draining out the stagnant rainy water from the roads, streets and low lying areas of the city. Rainfall has gone for the benefit of standed cotton, chili, sugar cane and other crops as there was already persisting acute shortage of irrigation water in the Mirpurkhas district that is situated in the tail of the Nara canal.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 31. Naib Ameer Jamaat e Islami Sindh Dr Merajul Huda Siddique has accused that retired brigadares who had get rid from NRO are launching the campaign to save the Musharraf and added that Bridagare Imtiaz is the important personnel of Musharraf Bachao Tehreek and added that JI is not make the hereditary patrimonial politics instead its doors are open for each Muslim person. He alleged that rulers are creating complication for the masses instead to resolve the grievances of the masses. He deplored thatefficiency of rulers has become a symbol of question mark to give permission to Black water organization for work in the country which is the terrorist organization of USA. He said that people of Musharraf Bachao Tehreek would not be safe and face their end despite using different tactics. He said that government should end the intervention of Agencies and trail be made in court against retired brigadare Imtiaz. MIRPURKHAS Aug 30. Mirpurkhas union of journalist MUJ has expressed its grave concern over the issuance of threats of dire consequences to the journalists of Kot Ghulam Mohammad taluka on behalf of local leaders of Awami Tehreek and demanded the provincial minister for information to provide protection to the journalists. Meeting of MUJ was held here on Sunday presided by its president Afaq Ahmed Khan , have strongly condemned the issuance of threats of dire consequences to the senior journalists and office bearers of National press club Kot Ghulam Mohammad Jayram Malhi and Ismail Gorchani on behalf of local leaders of Awami Tehreek. General secretary Ghulam Rasool Mugheri said that local journalists are performing their duties in Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Sanghar and Tharparkar districts in insecure condition while one side false and fabricated cases were being lodged against them by police with connivance of black mailer Bhatta Mafia and on the other handissuance of threats of dire consequences to journalists have become common. He said that a convention of journalists of the above journalists would soon be held very soon to prepare future course of strategy. He demanded the provincial minister for information Shazia Mari and DPO Mirpurkhas to provide protection to the journalists in the district Mirpurkhas otherwise journalists would be compel to stage protest demonstration.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 29. DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon has been suspended the food inspector Mirpurkhas Nazeer Ahmed Soomro in charges of his absence from his duty at Noor Shah flour mill here on Saturday where he was deputed to check the quality of the flour and sending the official fixed quantity of the flour bags to the subsidized stalls . Higher authorities of food department have also been issued the show cause notice to the above Nazeer Ahmed Soomro, food inspector Mirpurkhas. DDO revenue and special magistrate Mirpurkhas Ammara Aamer Khattak has carried out raid at the Noor Shah Flour mill in morning after receiving complaints regarding the supply of sub standard flour by the above mill for distribution among the masses through subsidized flour stalls in Mirpurkhas taluka and during her raid she found absent the food inspector Nazeer Ahmed Soomro from his duty and during the counting of the flour bags found missing of 10 bags from the each stallof the city . Talking to newsmen, she said that Noor Shah colony under the agreement was bound to supply the flour bags 1600 at four flour stalls as 400 flour bags each stall but he found short supply of flour bags to the stalls by the Noor Shah flour mill and paid surprise visit in which found short supply of flour bags were being made to the stalls. She said that she has been submitted her report to the DCO Mirpurkhas for further action. She told that standard wheat is being provided to the Noor Shah Flour mill but substandard flour is being provided for distribution among the masses.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 29. Regional director of regional ombudsman office Mirpurkhas Shafique Ahmed Khan has directed the taluka nazim to clean the city particularly collection point of Agha Khan hospital, Umerkot road near Adam town from filthy heaps. According to a handout issued here on Saturday, he asked that filthy heaps are lying at different places in the city including in front of banks, insurance companies, show rooms and shops and shifted them outside the city without any delay. He deplored that Taluka municipal administration Mirpurkhas is not making acts about this matter as result different diseases are spreading in the city. Shafique Ahmed Khan said that filthy heaps be removed from the city through containers without any delay or threw it at any save place outside the city for burning it. He further directed to make better sanitary system and cleanliness of the city. Besides, he said that if any person has any complaint pertaining to the government department to contact with him personally or by post and courier services and send also fax at the no 0233-9290424. He advised the complainants to submit him their application along with proper postal address, telephone number and photo state copy of National identity card and could contact at number 0233-9290266 for further knowledge. He assured the people that department will take massive acts for redress of their complaints.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 29. District administration has changed its strategy to distribute the subsidized flour bags in the morning to avoid any disturbance of the people including women , here on Saturday, Report said that disturbance was creating due to short supply of flour bags at the subsidized stalls where people were gathered in big quantity to get the flour bags and revenue officials were distributing the bags at 12 PM daily however, thousands of people including women were early reached there to disturb the discipline even incident of manhandling of the police officials and revenue officials were occurring. Various revenue officials had been refused the officers to perform their duties at the flour stalls due to law and order situation and disturbance of the people. District government has changed its strategy and now fixed the time of morning to distribute the flour bags among the masses as less quantity of people were gathered at the stalls in themorning. While administration has further decided to change the places of the flour stalls weekly in the city and for this purpose officials are choosing the safe places including big school buildings where security arrangements might be made easily.
MIRPURKHAS Aug 28. Advisor to Sindh chief minister Sharmeela Farooque has taken serious notice of news published in daily newspaper regarding the shortage of irrigation water in tail of distributaries in Mirpurkhas and Umerkot districts and contacted with concerned executive engineers and director Nara canal to ensure proper supply of irrigation water till tail end abadgars.Sharmeela Farooque said that PPP is making efforts to reduce the problems of the masses on priority basis and added that government is giving attention particularly to resolve the grievances of the agriculture sector as country’s economic depend mostly on agriculture production. She further said that she had been taken strict notice in past about the shortage of irrigation water in district Tandoallahyar and added that due to her action water supply was improved in district Tandoallahyar. She expressed that she will take stern action against the responsible irrigation officials who are creating obstacles in smooth flow of water in the canals and distributaries. She told that she has contacted concerned irrigation authorities and directed them to redress the grievances of the growers of tail end facing shortage of water in Mirpurkhas and Umerkot districts.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 28. Speakers in a seminar on the subject of “modernization and rehabilitation of Chili sector” held here on Friday under consultant P and D department government of Sindh have stressed need of setting up the red chili processing center particularly in Mirpurkhas and Umerkot districts to export more than chili to European countries, USA and Japan to acquire more than national exchequer. They claimed that more than red chili particularly unique variety “Dandi cut Red Chili” or Longi is produced from districts Mirpurkhas and Umerkot and its main big market at Kunri town. They said that Pakistan is on top 5 positions in the world regarding the red chili production, while Pakistan is on 21 numbers in the world to export chili crop. However, despite its best variety of red chili, it is not able to more than export the red chili due to non availability of chili dehydration unit. They said that owing to moisture, Aflotaxin , a fungus is created in the chili as result USA, European union and Japan had been imposed ban on the import of red chili from Pakistan as they understand that red chili with Aflotaxin is serious threats to the lives of their people. They said that investors should invest in establishment of chili dehydration unit and use other methods like plastic sheets to dry the chili. They expressed that due to demand of Red chili growers association , federal government had approved a chili dehydration unit to be established at Kunri town with estimated cost of RS 220 millions, while federal government have allocated RS 100 millions for first phase and for next year RS 120 millions would be provided for this purpose . They demanded the government to establish at least a dehydration unit at Mirpurkhas and Umerkot districts sothat red chili might be export from here. They expressed that there is need to create awareness among the masses regarding the modern technology to producemore than red chili crop and dry it with modern technology to gain more amount to export it. They said that following the establishment of chili dehydration unit at Mirpurkhas and Umerkot district, red chili will be exported to European Union, USA, Japan and other countries. Speakers further said that proper pesticide be used to control the pest attack at the red chili crop after getting information from agriculture experts. They said that after separation of red chili from dandy a whole is created in the crop which is caused of aflotaxin a fungus, so there is need of research to create such seed of red chili by which aflotaxin might not be created in the red chili. They said that middle men are getting more than profit than chili grower and chili seller and there was need of close contact between growers and traders. They said that there is need to improve more the unique Dandi cut red chili here and for this purpose we all should jointly work toimprove it sothat it might be export in bulk quantity to earn more than national exchequer. There was need to publish the broachers on the chili export and it’s more than production for creating more than awareness among the masses. They added that government has been making efforts to bring near the private sector to work jointly on this crop. They said that all the problems might be resolved after formation of chili board. MIRPURKHAS Aug 28. Crackdown was occurred against profiteers and violators of Ramzan ordinance in the city while various persons were arrested and fine upon them here on Friday. Report said that on the information of violation of Ramzan ordinance, DDO revenue and special magistrate Mirpurkhas Ammara Aamer Khattak along with police contingents carried out raids at the bakeries and hotels including M.D.sweet mart, Shimla Bakery, Shandar sweet mart, Akram hotel, a hotel near taxi stand etc and over a dozen persons including servants were taken into custody in charges of committing violation of Ramzan ordinance. Above special magistrate also paid surprise visit of Sabzi Mandi chowk, post office chowk, Satellite town, ring road, Khpro Naka chowk and other areas and fined on the spot on shopkeepers and push cart owners for receiving more than profits.
