MIRPURKHAS. A team of Anti-corruption establishment Mirpurkhas has conducted the raid at the office of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto sports complex Mirpurkhas here on Wednesday and get official records. The report said that team of ACE Mirpurkhas along with first judicial magistrate Mirpurkhas Najeebullah Soomro carried out a surprise visit of the above office and sought the official relevant records of expenses of funds RS 60 lakhs and other irregularities however some necessary record was not provided on which team has taken into custody for some time to accountant Sarfaraz Marri while sought his official record of expenses and other transfer postings and appointments of the staff. Sources said that concerned officers had made gross irregularities and corruption of funds while on the complaints team carried out the raid and now ACE Mirpurkhas team will make inquiry as per received official records and then legal action will be taken against involved officers and officials if the inquiry showed the corruption of funds and irregularities.

 

MIRPURKHAS. Divisional Commissioner Mirpurkhas Syed Ajaz Ali Shah has inaugurated the health department campaign of measles and Robella here on Wednesday at Saint Teresa hospital Mirpurkhas by administering the vaccine of measles and polio drops to the under five years old children. On this occasion, Commissioner said that parents should take benefit of this government’s campaign because measles and Robella vaccines were costly and in private centers, it will be available in thousands of rupees. He further said that we should adopt preventive measures to save the health of human beings as well as children. He further said that this campaign will remained continue till 27 Nov 2021. Dr. Mustaque Shah told that the measles vaccine will be provided to children of 9 years to 15 years to save them from this disease attack in the future. He said that there was the target of this providing vaccine to 6 lakhs and 45 thousands of the children of the district Mirpurkhas. He said that points had already been set up to ensure administering the above vaccine and asked the masses to cooperate with health department teams and volunteers for a better future for the children. Assistant commissioner Mirpurkhas was also present there.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 14. Satellite town police have arrested the two accused of the murder case and recovered the strangulated body without head of a woman from agriculture crops near village Muhammad Brohi, here on Sunday. The report said that Altaf Shoro has lodged the murder case with Satellite town police station accusing that his sister Sana Taj was killed by accused Shoukat Panhwer and Amir Panhwer some days back. Police carried out raids and apprehended both accused Shoukat Panhwer and Amir Panhwer and recovered the decomposed body of Sana Taj without head from the agriculture field and her clothes and other things including used sharp knife from the identified place. Police said that so far head of the deceased woman was not yet recovered. Police added that the cause of the murder was a domestic affair and investigation continued to recover the head of the deceased woman and supporters of the killers.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 14. An aged peasant has committed suicide by hanging himself with rope at the first watercourse in Tando Jan Muhammad on Sunday. On the information, Tando Jan Muhammad police arrived at the spot and shifted his body to rural health center Tando Jan Muhammad where after legal formality body was handed over to heirs. His relatives said that he was mentally upset for the last some years.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 14. Scores of people under the banner of Sindh progressive committee Mirpurkhas held a demonstration outside the local press club here on Sunday to protest against price hike, inflation, load shedding of Sui gas, etc. Led by Zahoor Leghari and Ramzan Dal, carrying banners and placards raised slogans against the government. On this occasion, Zahoor Leghari deplored that the government had devastated the poors by inflation, price hike, increase of petroleum products, and general commodities. He said that Sindh province has a lot of mineral resources including oil and gas despite this Sindhi people were facing difficulties as they had been deprived of their rights. He strongly condemned the government for inflation, price hike of general commodities, Sui gas shortage, oil and gas, petrol, etc. Ramzan Dal blamed that the government was creating only problems in Sindh province. He said that feudal killers of Nazim Jokhio roaming free and efforts continued to save them. Aryan Abdul Salam and Taj Baloch blamed that local police had failed to recover the abducted nine years old girl Fozia Khaskheli for 4 months. They warned that if Fozia Khaskheli was not soon recovered then the protest campaign will be extended throughout the province. Feroz Wassan, Devraj Kolhi, and Yousuf Chohan also spoke to the protesters.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 11. President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi has said that the 18th amendment was approved for not creating hurdles and stopping the ways of the people and added that provinces should make strong to the federation by their important role instead to create hurdles in the way of federation. He was speaking at the different delegations of the district bar association, traders, industrialists, party workers and office bearers and also with local journalists in Qureshi hall here on Thursday, while on this occasion advisor to the Sindh politics for prime minister Dr. Arbab Ghulam Rahim, was also present with office bearers of Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Umerkot and Tharparkar. Earlier he arrived at Sindhri airport where Governor Sindh Imran Ismail and, leader of opposition in Sindh assembly Haleem Adil Shaikh, Aftab Qureshi and other party office bearers warm welcomed him while when he arrived at Qureshi hall, DIG Mirpurkhas Zulfikar Maher and divisional commissioner Syed Ajaz Ali Shah and party workers and office-bearers welcomed him. On this occasion, many party workers and citizens protested over not issuing them passes for entry in the hall on this occasion. President Dr. Arif Ali further said that prime minister Imran Khan was also wanted that Kala bagh dam will not be constructed without the consensus of all four provinces. He said that struggle of PTI was for the economical progress of the country. He further expressed that Imran Khan was in love with Sindh province. He added that PTI and government efforts continued to provide cheap medical treatment, quality education and better economic policies to the masses to make their better standard. He further told that when his party came into Sindh in past there were very short workers but today condition was before the masses. He said that due to the corona pandemic whole world was severely affected as imports and export were severely affected as a result hike flood appeared in the world but his leadership made better measures in the country to face and get rid of the covid 19. He said that from sugar to each place mafia were present and we would fight with mafias. He expressed that during martial law power was short but the 18th amendment was approved to reach the powers on grassroot level. While it was not brought to stop the ways of the people and provinces weak the federation. He said that the government has allocated one hundred Arabs for youths welfare and youths should get the benefit of it. He added that the government has also allocated a handsome amount for jobs of women but still 200 women could not get benefits. Governor Sindh Imran Ismail said that we had crossed the difficult path to provide rights and justice to the masses and added that in the next election PTI will rule the Sindh province. He said that his party has reduced the grievances of the masses by introducing the Ehsas program in the country. District president Aftab Qureshi has demanded the construction of the dental college, Sindh high court Mirpurkhas bench and engineering college. On this occasion, PTI Haleem Adil Shaikh also spoke the ceremony. Earlier talking to the delegation of the district bar association Mirpurkhas led by district president Mir Pervez Akhtar Talpure, president Arif Alvi said that Sindh high court Mirpurkhas bench was the right of Mirpurkhas division and we would give the right to Mirpurkhas. He further said that lawyers were making a struggle for cheap and immediate justice. He further said that justice was strengthening the society and promised that genuine grievances of lawyers and Mirpurkhas division would be resolved on a priority basis. Earlier district bar president presented the problems of the Mirpurkhas division.

 MIRPURKHAS Nov 9. A team of anti-corruption establishment ACE MIrpurkhas circle carried out raid at the office of deputy director agriculture extension Mirpurkhas here on Tuesday and taken into custody the official records related with gross corruption of funds. The report said that led by circle incharge Manzoor Memon, ACE Mirpurkhas team along with first judicial magistrate Mirpurkhas Najeebullah Soomro conducted the raid at the above office while panic was spread among the employees and some officers fled away to see the raiding team. The raiding team got the official records related to gross corruption of funds made allegedly in 2020-21. When contacted circle incharge Manzoor Memon said that there had been made gross corruption of funds by deputy director Satram Das, agriculture officer Gohram Baloch, accountant and some other officers.  He said that his team will conduct thorough inquiry after which legal action will be taken against the involved corrupt officers and officials. 


MIRPURKHAS Nov 9. Hundreds of growers of the tail end of Baggi minor of Jamrao canal took out a protest rally and held a protest demonstration in Jhuddo town against the corrupt officers and officials of irrigation Jamrao canal on Tuesday. Led by Jalil Unar, Ayaz Khoso and others carrying banners and placards of tail end abadgars association Nara canal and raised slogans against the Darogah, SDO and XEN Jamrao canal. They marched through different roads in Jhuddo town while held demonstration at National bank chowk. They blamed that irrigation staff had involved in corruption as sold their water share to landlords of head of the minor as result tail was lying dry and sofar they could not sow wheat, tomato, onion, sugar cane and vegetables at their thousands of acres land and added that even drinking water shortage persisting in taluka Jhuddo and people compelled to buy the drinking water from local markets. They further alleged that it was the artificial water shortage and such they had suffered millions of loss of their money as their agriculture had been devastated without water. They complained that they had met with director Nara canal and apprised him about their problems but no result has yet appeared. They demanded the Sindh chief minister to replace the corrupt director Nara canal and other officers of Jamrao canal and ensure appointments of well-reputed officers and regular supply of water in the tail of their minor without any delay.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 6. Scores of growers of Run shakh held a demonstration on Naokot town at MIrpurkhas Naokot road on saturday to protest against acute shortage of water in tail and sale of their share water to influential landlords. Growers carrying banners and placards blocked the main road while raised slogans against the officers and officials of irrigation sub division Naokot. Due to blackade traffic was suspended on both side. Protesters on this occassion talking to media persons blamed that they had deprived of cultivation of wheat and other crops last year owing to not reaching the irrigation water in tail of Run shakh and as the season started again irrigation depeartment have sold their share water to landlords of the head of the shakh after receiving heavy bribe as result they were still unable to sow wheat and other crops at their lands without water. They further said that they had also complained to director Nara canal and other authorities but no result was yet appeared. They demanded the Sindh chief minister and secretary irrigation department to take immediate notice into this matter and ensure water supply till tail end abadgar and punish the responsible officials. Later police arrived at the spot and assured the protesters that they would approach to SDO concerned to accept their demand of supply of water soon after which they dispersed. 

MIRPURKHAS Nov 6. Chairman railway workers union Manzoor Ahmed Razi and general secretary Muhammad Naseem Rao have demanded the federal government to stop immediately privatization process in railway department because of it will be very harmful for the department and employees. In a joint press statment issued here on saturday they strongly condemned the governmment for inflation, hike in price of petroleum products, cooking oils, sugar, and other general commodities. They urged the government to increase the salaries of employees as RS 60000 and also enhance the pensions.  They demanded the government to take drastic measures for controlling the growing hike. They further demanded the government to provide facilities to the masses like foreign countries if the hike was increased.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 4. Incharge standing committee(Qaima committee) for railway Muhammad Moin Woto and Haq Parast member engineer Sabir Kaim Khani told the media persons here on Thursday at Mirpurkhas railway station that standing committee members today visited the Zero point in desert where examined the railway track, its condition, and facilities expected for passengers of India and Pakistan. They promised that very soon two suspended trains between Mirpurkhas and Hyderabad would be relaunching their services to ensure cheap travel facilities to masses of this region. They said that problems of retired railway employees and their gratuity would be resolved on a priority basis. They said that there was already providing services of Mehran express and Shah Lateef express trains and also Marvi train service to provide the facilities to the masses. They also said that they have discussed the problems related to the railway with incharge district MQM Pakistan MIrpurkhas Khalid Tabassum and other members and office bearers and hoped that they would make efforts to resolve all problems of people of this region related to the railway department. On this occasion, Hamid Hameed, Aftab Jahangeer, Basheer Ahmed, Muhammad Khan Dahar, etc were also present.


MIRPURKHAS Nov 4. Foreign minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi was arrived at Mirpurkhas tool plaza in the caravan and strict security here on Thursday for his visit to Umerkot and then Mithi district Tharparkar. At tool plaza MIrpurkhas he was warmly welcomed by office bearers and leaders of his party including Makhkdoom Zada Zain Hussain Qureshi, opposition leader in Sindh assembly Haleem Adil Shaikh,  MNAs Jay Parkash Lohana and Lal Malhi, Chelaram Kevlani, Haji Nisar Arain, Haji Asghar Arain, and others. They raised slogans in support of Imran Khan, prime minister and Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi on this occasion. Later after some time he left the MIrpurkhas for Umerkot. 


MIRPURKHAS Nov 4. Celebration of Diwali religious festival of Hindu community has started in MIrpurkhas division here on Thursday. Hindu community people including women and children made worship in temples in the morning and pray for prosperity, progress, and tranquility in the country. Children exploded crackers in different areas of the city as heavy voices of the explosion of crackers were heard. Chiragh (light) was sparked in the houses, exchanged gifts with each other, and held also various religious ceremonies in their halls and houses. On behalf of the district police, Diwali gifts were distributed among the Hindu police personnel. Strict security arrangements were made on this occasion in the city and other towns of the district. The report said that the Hindu community was also celebrating this religious festival in Digri, Mirwah Gorchani, Tando Jan Muhammad, Jhuddo, Naokot, Kot Ghulam Muhammad, Sindhri, Hingorno, Phuladyyoon, Khaan, Jhilori, district Umerkot, Sanghar, and Tharparkar.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 3. Ex district bar president Mirpurkhas Mir Naeem Talpure has said that minorities were living in a peaceful atmosphere in the country and they were free for celebrating their religious festival even Muslims were also participate in their festival programmes. He further said that lawyers belonging to the Hindu religion were many a number in district bar association Mirpurkhas and they freely celebrate their religious festivals along with Muslim lawyers and it was the big sign for interfaith harmony. He was speaking at the Dewali festival ceremony organized in district bar association Mirpurkhas here on Wednesday by senior lawyer Manomal Meghwar while a large number of lawyers attended the program. Senior lawyers Sher Muhammad Wassan and Shoukat Rahimoon said that the constitution of Pakistan gives equal rights to minorities and they were living here without any fear and difficulties. They said that in the district bar also minority lawyers worked with other lawyers mutually. Santosh Kalal and Mujibur Rehman Shar also spoke at the ceremony. Manomal Meghwar advocate thanked the lawyers community and added that such kinds of ceremonies increase the love and brotherhood among the masses.

 

MIRPURKHAS Nov 3. An aged peasant was seriously injured in a road accident near Jara water at 78 Mori, taluka Sindhri on Wednesday. The report said that Gego Bheel was on his way that a speedy car hit him as a result he sustained serious wounds rushed to the emergency ward of the civil hospital where first aid was provided to him and then referred to LMUH Hyderabad due to his precarious condition. Sindhri police have detained the car driver for interrogation.

 

MIRPURKHAS Nov 3. Hundreds of tail end abadgars of Girhori Shakh held demonstration and blocked the main Khipro Sindhri road near Samaro Mori in protest against acute water shortage and selling of water to influential landlords of head of the Shakh. Protesters created hurdles at the above main highway road as a result traffic was suspended on both sides. Protesters raised slogans against the irrigation staff and blamed that they were involved in selling their irrigation water to influential landlords after receiving heavy bribe while their cultivated crops were severely affected. They, talking to media persons alleged that in tail no any single of water reached since two months as result their wheat, sugar cane, onion, vegetables, etc were affecting and lying dry without water.

They further blamed that the water modules of influential landlords were tempered for water theft and such water was not reached in the tail. They demanded the Sindh chief minister, secretary irrigation, and director Nara canal to take immediate notice, ensure supply of water in the tail, stop the water theft, action be taken against the corrupt involved irrigation officials.

Later MPA Syed Zulfikar Ali Shah arrived at the spot held negotiations with protesters and assured them that very soon in their tail, water will be reached after which protesters dispersed and such after three hours traffic was restored at the above main road. 

MIRPURKHAS Nov2. Central general secretary Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz group Ahsan Iqbal has criticized the Imran government and blamed that it had devastated the economics of the country by its wrong policies as result in weak condition what the country will defend on the international level as its masses facing more than poverty and unemployment. He was speaking at the workers convention of PML(N) Mirpurkhas district held here on Monday night in a local hall. Earlier he was warmly welcomed by leaders and office bearers and workers including Masood Wassan, Ropchand, Mir Safdar Talpure, Syed Mazhar Shah, and others. Ahsan Iqbal alleged that selected prime minister Imran Khan government was responsible for inflation, price hike, the hike of petroleum products, general commodities, etc. He deplored that without arms and weak economics any country could not fight with other countries and the selected government had deprived of strong economics and required arms to the country causing great difficulties to the country and facing difficulties to the agitation, strikes, and internal problems of the country. Regarding CPEC he said that it was the gift of china but the Imran government destroyed it as a result dream of progress changed into pieces. He said that masses had an experiment of PTI, PPP, and MPL Nawaz government and added that PML Nawaz was the only party to change the country as a superpower and its leader Mian Nawaz Shareef had spread of net of progress and development in the country in his tenure. He asked the workers to reach the messages of Mian Nawaz Shareef to the masses on grass root level as only PML(N) could only change the luck of the country and masses again support it for development revolution in the country. He said that the people of Sindh should now realize that if they wanted better health, quality education, good rulers, rid from corruption then they should support PML(N) in the coming election. He asked the workers and office-bearers to end their internal differences and launch a mass contact campaign on the district level to appraise the message of the party and convince the workers and voters to support the party for their better future.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 2. Hundreds of tail-end growers of Kherao Shakh of Jamrao division blocked the main Sanghar Mirpurkhas road near Sindhri and held a protest sit-in on Tuesday in protest against the water theft and involvement of irrigation department officials. Led by Ghulam Rasool Dars, Ghulam Hussain Marri, and Dr. Yousuf, carrying banners and placards raised slogans against the officers and officials of the irrigation department. Owing to blocking of the main road on both sides hundreds of vehicles were stopped and such people faced great hardships. Protesters told the media persons that irrigation department officials had allowed the influential landlords of the head of the Shakh for water theft after receiving bribe. They said that due to water stealing tail end abadgars had been deprived of their water causing great hardship and severally affecting cultivated crops. They warned that they would resist severe against the water theft and irrigation officials as they were releasing low water guage in tail-end areas. They demanded the director Nara canal and other officers to take notice of corruption of the irrigation officials to ensure water supply till tail end abadgars and punish the responsible officials. Later DSP Sindhri arrived at the spot held negotiated with protesters and dispersed them after assuring to reach the water in the tail of their shakh and such after two hours traffic was restored at the above main road. 

MIRPURKHAS Nov 2. SSP Mirpurkhas Ch Asad Ali has visited the different temples of the Hindu community in the district and met with their administration here on Tuesday on the occasion of the Hindu festival Diwali. He examined the security arrangements there and asked the administration of temples that more than security will be provided them while Hindu policemen have announced to give leaves on this festival in the district. He said that security has been intensified as in markets and bazaars plain cloths personnel deployed to avoid any kind of untoward incident. 

MIRPURKHAS Nov 2. Authorities have launched the campaign against overcharging the price of fertilizers in taluka Sindhri here on Tuesday. The report said that assistant commissioner Sindhri Asif Khaskheli, Mukhtiarkar Sajjad Sadaqat Shar, and other staff and police conducted the raids at various dealers of fertilizers and pesticides in Hingorno and Phuladyyoon town and fine thousands of rupees on various fertilizer dealers who did not display the price list of fertilizers and during procuring the fertilizers overcharged the price and also issued a warning to various dealers that if they found in excess charging stern legal action will be taken against culprits. It may be recalled that PPP MPA Syed Zulfikar Ali Shah had issued a letter to deputy commissioner Mirpurkhas in which he complained of fertilizer dealers for overcharging the price and asked to check the sale of fertilizers in his constituency.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 1. Malaria diseases spreading in the city and other towns of the district owing to avoiding the anti mosquitoes spray by Municipal committee MIrpurkhas and other town committees. Sources said that after rainfall rainy water had accumulated at different places where rapidly growth of mosquotoes and flies occured as result mosquotoes and flies had invaded and such malaria spread in the city and other towns of the district. Hundreds of malaria patients approached to civil hospital and other taluka hospitals and basic health units for getting treatment. Hundreds of malaria patients were also admitted in government and private hospitals in the district as doctors said that there was acute need of anti mosquotoes spray as daily patients of Malaria increasing approaching to government hospitals for treatments. Civil society and social organizations have demanded the higher authorities to take immediate notice into this matter and ensure anti mosquotoes spray in the city and other towns of the district without any delay. When contacted chief municipal officer of MCM Muhammad Aslam Qazi told that he had sought the spray machines from district administration and also sought the anti mosquotoes pesticide from district health office Mirpurkhas. He further said that MCM has only a spray machine while required more than spray machines to ensure proper anti mosquotoes spray in the city.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 1. There had been increased the complaints regarding  sale of fertilizers at excess rate and spurious and fake fertilizers also sale and its hoardings in the district after this deputy commissioner Mirpurkhas Salamat Memon convened meeting here on monday   speaking at the meeting deputy commissioner has said that no one will be allowed to take illegal profits and hoarding of fertilizers.  On this occasion, he directed the Assistant Commissioners to make a surprise visit to the fertilizer shops and warehouses along with the team and report him.  Strict legal action should be taken against those who found involve in charging illicit profits and hoarding .  The meeting was attended by representatives of Engro, FFC, Pak Arab and other fertilizer companies, Deputy Director Agriculture,growers and other concerned officers. Meanwhile office bearers of tail end abadgars association Nara canal Nadeem Bhurgari and Muhammad Ismail blamed that dozens of big godowns in Mirpurkhas were filled with fertilizers bags as big mafia of fertilizers had involved in alleged hoardings and ensuring sale of fertilizers at high  rate as concerned assistant commissioners were avoided the surprise visits of godowns and secretly supported the fertilizer mafia. In their statement they urged the higher authorities to pay surprise visits of fertilizer godowns and caught hoardings of fertilizers mafia. 

MIRPURKHAS Nov 1. A eight years old girl was killed and her grand mother seriously injured in road accident near Mallah hotel at Sanghar Mirpurkhas road here on monday. Report said that a speedy truck hit the passenger chingchi rickshaw as result Durga, 8 was killed on the spot while her grandmother Ginti sustained serious wounds rushed to emergency of civil hospital where she was provided first aid. Later the body of the deceased girl was handed over to heirs after legal formality.Police have impounded the involved truck and detained its unknown driver. 

MIRPURKHAS Nov 1. Seven persons were seriously injured in two road accident in Digri town on monday. Report said that two passenger rickshaws were turned over accidently as result seven passengers Arbab Kaloi, Noori Kaloi, Nasreen Kaloi, Sardar Kapri, Makno Kolhi, Marwan Kolhi and Harchand Kolhi sustained serious wounds rushed to taluka hospital Digri where first aid was provided them.

 MIRPURKHAS Oct 31. A protest demonstration was held outside the local press club here on Sunday under civil society Mirpurkhas to protest against the failure of MIrpurkhas police to recover the missing 9 years old girl Fozia Khaskheli, who had been missing from her village Muhammad Hassan Marri over three months ago but still could not be recover by government agencies despite repeated protest. Led by Wajid Leghari, Sher Muhammad Solangi, Jay Ram, Gulzar Ahmed Magsi and others carrying banners and placards raised slogans against the district administration and police for not giving attention to ensure her recovery despite passing over 3 months. Wajid Leghari told the media persons that Nazar Muhammad Khaskheli was a resident of village Muhammad Hassan Marri, union council Khaan, a labor and his daughter Fozia Khaskheli had been missing in mysterious circumstances while despite repeated protest local police and administration remained yet fail to recover her. He demanded the Sindh chief minister, chief secretary Sindh and others to take immediate notice to ensure her recovery and arrest the culprits if involved in her kidnapping. 


MIRPURKHAS Oct 31.Quran Khawani and Fateha Khawani were held here on Sunday at district office Mirpurkhas of MQM P Mirpurkhas for the incident of 31st Oct Sohrab Goth in which various activists of MQM P were martyred. Led by district incharge Khalid Tabassum, members and other office bearers including women activists took part. On this occasion, the district incharge paid rich tribute to the great live sacrifices of martyrs of the above incident and hoped that Haq Parast Tehreek will get its destination. He said that caravan of MQM Pakistan was spreading in the country. He prayed to Allah for the success of MQM P to ensure providing rights to Haq Parast masses. 

MIRPURKHAS Oct 31. Scores of workers and office-bearers of Awami Tehreek district Mirpurkhas held a demonstration outside the Digri press club in Digri town on Sunday to protest against the hike and acute water shortage. Led by district president Awami Tehreek Mirpurkhas advocate Ghaffar Narejo , Dildar Leghari of Sindhi Hari Tehreek, carrying banners and placards raised slogans against the government for failing to control the growing hike and acute water shortage. Mukhtiar Khaskheli, Mumtaz Khoso, Ameer Bux Jarwar, Khair Muhammad Chandio, Wazeer Chandio, Razzaque Jarwar, A.B.Jarwar and others also participated. Protesters blamed that federal and Sindh government had devastated the economics of Sindh by creating artificial acute water shortage in the Sindh province as result poverty increased as well as unemployment while due to wrong policies of government prices of general commodities and others had high without control of government causing great difficulties to the masses. They criticized the Sindh government for the devastation of agriculture in Sindh as the Sindh government remained responsible in this regard. They urged the federal and Sindh government to ensure reducing the hike and end the water shortage to ensure the supply of required water to the Sindh province. They also took out protest rally while Mir Younus Talpure and Pervez Nohani of Sindh tarraqi Passand party also took part in the protest rally.


MIRPURKHAS Oct 31. Old Mirpur police have arrested three suspected accused allegedly involved in the suspected murder of landlord Abdul Raheem Rajar here on Sunday. Police sources said that two days back police had recovered the body of 25 years old youth landlord Abdul Rahim Rajar, resident of Muhammad Ismail Rajar village at 78 Mori, taluka Sindhri from a Khyber car from Khaan road while after post mortem his body was handed over to heirs for burial from civil hospital Mirpurkhas. However, Old Mirpur police have apprehended three suspected accused close friends of the deceased youth, Haresh aka Haresh Dewan, Akram Unar, and an unknown Lashari caste person while interrogation continued with the above detainees. Police sources said that a few accused revealed the murder of the above deceased over a business dispute. MPA Syed Zulfikar Ali Shah took notice and arrived at the village of deceased youth and performed Fateha Khawani and expressed his grief and sorrow over the sad incident. He condoled with Allah Jurio Rajar, father of the deceased, and hoped that very soon culprits would be detained by police while MPA also asked the SSP Mirpurkhas Asad Chohadhry to expedite the investigation and ensure detaining of real culprits of this murder. 

MIRPURKHAS Oct 31. Jhuddo police have recovered a body of an unknown person near from Piala hotel in Jhuddo town on Saturday night and shifted to rural health center Jhuddo where so far his identification could not be made till filing of the news. Learned that deceased was addicts.

Protest of lawyers of Mirpurkhas division continued for establishment of Sindh high court MIrpurkhas bench here on Friday as in premises of district and sessions court Mirpurkhas protest camp was set up in which bar president Mir Pervez Akhtar Talpure and other office bearers and lawyers, social workers, civil society etc participated. Under the protest all the lawyers have today boycotted the court proceedings in Mirpurkhas ,Sanghar, Umerkot and Tharparkar whole day. They also took out protest rally while demanding the higher authorities to take up issue resolve this problem by setting up Sindh high court Mirpurkhas bench without any delay here to ensure justice to the poor people of this region.
MIRPURKHAS Oct 29. Hundreds of office bearers and workers of Pakistan Democratic movement held a protest demonstration at Muhammadi chowk in Digri town on Friday to protest against wrong federal government policies causing great difficulties to the masses.Led by Mazhar Shah, district president PML(N) Mirpurkhas , Atif Jameel, Mufti Rizwanul Haq and others carrying banners and placards.They carrying banners and placards raised slogans against the federal government. Speakers have strongly condemned the federal government policies and warned that the masses had been deprived of their rights as facing great hardships with growing hikes in the country. They demanded the higher authorities to take immediate notice of failure of federal government and sacking the thousands of employees from their jobs.

Hundreds of PPP workers and office bearers including legislatures held a big demonstration here on Friday outside the local press club to protest against federal government for a growing hike, unemployment and growing poverty. Led by PPP MNA and district president Mir Munawar Ali Khan Talpure , carrying banners and placards raised slogans against the federal government. MNA Shamim Aara Panhwer, ex MNA Pir Aftab Hussain Shah Jilani, MPAs Hari Ram Kishori Lal, Syed Zulfikar Ali Shah, Mir Tarique Talpure and office bearers participated. Speaking at the protesters MNA Mir Munawar Ali Khan Talpure termed responsible to the growing hike to federal government and added that it had failed to controle the growing hike as result masses were seriously disturbed. He deplored that Imran Khan government had devastated the economics of the country as result today rate of general commodities including sugar, flour, vegetables, fruits, tea, cooking oils, petrol products etc were high than past while thousands of employees had sacked from their jobs and such poverty increasing day by day in the country. MNA Shamim Aara Panhwer lamented that present federal government was implementing the agenda of IMF as result common masses unable to suffer todays expenses of kitchens. MPA Syed Zulfikar Ali Shah blamed that federal government was responsible of depriving the masses from their rights . He urged the government to take immediate notice ensure reducing the rates of general commodities by taking drastic measures in the country. MPA Mir Tarique Talpure also spoke the protesters.

MIRPURKHAS Oct 21. AAbiana recovery campaign of irrigation department in Nara canal area water board was slow as still about 50 crors rupees were outstanding dues on the defaulter landlords and growers owing to previous officers. Reliable sources said that in the past officers did not give attention to recover the Aabiana dues from landlords and growers in command area of Nara canal as result over one Arab rupees had declared outstanding dues however during last four years officers massively launched campaign of recovery following pressure of higher authorities and sources said that about 50 crors outstanding dues had recovered while last month due to negligence and inefficiency of 8 sub-divisional officers director Nara canal had issued show-cause notices them owing to their failure to achieve the target of recovery at the time. Sources said that till 24 oct, the target of recovery of aabiana dues RS 25 lakhs was fixed for which officers making efforts to achieve the target by contacting the defaulter landlords and growers and convincing them to pay their dues as soon as possible. However, sources added that various officers and staff were not taking proper interest in this regard as a result recovery campaign was severely affecting. Sources added that director Nara canal Ghulam Mujtaba Dhamra along with engineers and other officers and staff had held various meetings in this regard to achieve the recovery target and had directed the officers to close the water supply to defaulter landlords who was not ready to pay their outstanding aabiana dues.

MIRPURKHAS Oct 21. Al Abbas sugar mill situated near Mirwah Gorchani has suffered big losses after damaging the electric supply system of its alchohal plant   distilry following erupting the fire here on Wednesday evening. Reliable sources said that owing to short circuit fire broke out in electric supply system panel of Alchohal plant as result fire destroyed the panel system while fire brigade vehicle called as well as mill system succeeded to extinguish the fire after four to five hours. Alcohal plant of the mill was unfunctioned or closed after the gross damages of millions of rupees.

Panic was spread in the mill among the workers. However fortunately no loss of life was reported. An internal source confirmed that fire broke out in the whole distillery of the power supply line of the mill. When tried to contact for comment regional director of the mill Ghulam Muhammad Soomro cell phone was off.

 MIRPURKHAS Oct 3. Father of three children has committed suicide by hanging himself with rope in his house at village Hashim colony, Jhuddo town on Sunday.  

Walji Kolhi, 50, son of Dharshi Kolhi hanged himself with rope. Jhuddo police on information arrived at the spot and shifted his body to the rural health center for legal formality. Sources said that he was jobless and owing to starvation and poverty he was compelled to hang himself. Later his body was handed over to his heirs. It may be recalled that owing to increasing poverty and joblessness incidents of suicide had increased in Mirpurkhas division than last some years.

MIRPURKHAS Oct 1. Lawyers under the district bar association Mirpurkhas have boycotted the court proceedings whole day here on Friday in support of their demand of establishment of Sindh high court Mirpurkhas bench, while lawyers also held protest camp and took out protest rally in the premises of district and sessions court Mirpurkhas.

 Led by bar president Mirpurkhas Mir Pervez Akhtar Talpure , lawyers including women lawyers , social workers, notables and citizens participated in the protest camp in premises of sessions court Mirpurkhas. Protesters carrying banners and placards raised slogans in support of their demands.

Speaking at the protesters bar president Mir Pervez Akhtar Talpure deplored that over ten thousands of Mirpurkhas cases were in pending while Larkana and Sukkur have low cases despite this high court bench were functioning there and poor people of Mirpurkhas division had deprived of this facility and compelled to suffer heavy expenses for getting justice through Sindh high court Hyderabad bench. He urged the federal and provincial government to take initiative in this regard for early formation of Sindh high court Mirpurkhas bench as there was already available building here. Masood Leghari advocate said that concerned authorities should accept this old demand of poor people of Mirpurkhas division.

Junaid Maher advocate and Muhammad Hashim Shar said that their protest campaign will remained continue till acceptance of their demand.

Adnan Khurram and Mir Naeem Talpure advocate blamed that deliberately authorities had deprived to this region from benefit of Sindh high court Mirpurkhas bench as result poor people had compelled to suffer big expenses for gaining justice.

Asghar Ali Channa and Asif Qureshi advocate warned the government to accept their demand without any delay otherwise their protest campaign will be extended throughout province.

Later lawyers took out a protest rally led by president district bar and marched in the premises of sessions court while demanding the higher authorities to accept their demands without any delay to ensure early justice in less expenses at door step to poors of this region.

 


MIRPURKHAS Oct 1. Provincial minister for education  and also focal person of rain emergency of Mirpurkhas division Syed Sardar Shah convened a high level meeting in commissioner complex Mirpurkhas here on Friday to review the precautionary measures made sofar by the district administrations to face the expected heavy rainfall and flood condition. MPA Syed Zulfikar Ali Shah, commissioner Mirpurkhas division Syed Ajaz Ali Shah, deputy commissioner Mirpurkhas Salamat Memon, SSP Mirpurkhas Chohadhry Asad, deputy commissioners of Umerkot and Tharparkar, revenue , irrigation department, education and agriculture department officers etc participated. Provincial minister heared district wise briefing regarding precautionary measures before expected heavy rainfall and flood condition. He discussed the different options and directed the officers to keep alert their all staff, cancel their leaves and asked them not to leave their headquarters and duties places.

MPA Syed Zulfikar Ali Shah and various other officers also given suggestions regarding the precautionary measures.

Commissioner Mirpurkhas Syed Ajaz Ali Shah also briefed the minister about adopted the precautionary measures before expected heavy rainfall in Mirpurkhas division.

 

MIRPURKHAS Oct 1. Irrigation department has intensified its Aabiana recovery campaign in Nara canal area water board by issuing strict directives to the concerned irrigation department officers and officials. Irrigation department sources said that recently General  manager of Nara canal area water board Abdul Rasheed Maher presided a meeting of irrigation department officers and staff in which discussed the recovery campaign of Aabiana dues , while he asked the officers to intensify the campaign and stern action will be taken against those landlords did not pay their outstanding Aabiana dues.

He further said that Rs 10 millions had recovered of Aabiana outstanding dues from defaulter growers in a month.

Talking to this scribe Abdul Rasheed Maher said that in past dues of Aabiana had increased and now we have intensified the recovery campaign to cover the outstanding arrears.
