MIRPURKHAS Dec 30. Dozens of minority people belong to taluka Mirpurkhas have held demonstration here on Thursday outside the local press club to protest against the police failure to recover the kidnapped government dispenser Moti Ram. Protesters led by Madan, son of hostage Moti Ram, carried banners and placards raised slogans against the police while they blocked also the main Mirpurkhas Hyderabad road for an hour as result vehicular traffic was suspended. On this occasion, Madan told the newsmen that his father had left village near Old Mipur for village Dost Mohammad Dars to attend his job on bike on Wednesday morning but he did not reach at his job as in the way near village Shah Bux Lashari at Mirpurkhas Sindhri road near saline drain unknown dacoits allegedly kidnapped him in the car while his motor cycle was recovered from saline drain. He said that it was the incident of kidnapping but police were avoiding registering the case even despite passing 24 hours no progress was yet made by the police. He said that DPO Mirpurkhas Zulfikar Maher had also reached at the spot and also met with him and his relatives and assured that hostage will soon be recovered. He urged the authorities to take immediate notice and ensure registration of kidnapping case and recover the hostage and arrest the involved culprits. Later, SPO city Ayub Dars reached there and negotiated with the protesters and assured them of registration of their case after which they dispersed peacefully. 

MIRPURKHAS Dec 30. Vice president of Sindh abadgar board district Mirpurkhas chapter Haji Abdul Ghafoor Maher and progressive landlord of taluka Kunri Mian Mohammad Saleem have demanded the government not to impose ban on export of onion crop as only Sindh province was fulfilling the requirements of onion of the country while onion was also being exported to India and Middle east from Sindh. They were talking to newsmen here on Thursday. They expressed that this year onion crop in Sindh was bumper crop and onion growers were getting reasonable price of their crop but some persons wanted to impose ban on export of onion by government under a conspiracy. They said that according to Sindh crop assessment department onion crop production was expected 6 and half lakhs tons in the Sindh province this year as onion averagely 80 to 100 bags of 120 kilogrammes per bag are producing from an acre and at this time Indian onion crop was late and onion crop in Punjab was also late one month as result onion from Sindh was exporting to India through Wahga and Middle east through ship while requirements of onion of the whole country was also being fulfilled the Sindh province owing to bumper crop. They urged the government to make unsuccessful the conspiracy of some persons to impose ban on onion export while national exchequer was also achieving to country in export of onion and reasonable price RS 3500 per bag was also getting the onion growers in the province. 

MIRPURKHAS Dec 30. A local senior journalist was fortunately escaped unhurt in the murderous attack by three armed persons here on Thursday evening at Market chowk. Report said that Afaq Ahmed Khan, correspondent of a daily English newspaper and a TV channel was on his way that three armed persons intercepted him and one of them opened strait fire upon him but fortunately he was saved unhurt. However one of the attacker was captured by the people when he was fleeing from the spot while two of them managed to escaped from the spot. Arrested culprit was identified as Abdul Nasir Khan and citizens later handed over him to town police. Victim journalist Afaq Ahmed Khan has lodged the case with town police station of attempt to murder and issuing threats of killing against the accused Abdul Nasir Khan, Saleem Malik alias Saleem Shuaee and an unknown person.Later victim journalist Afaq Ahmed Khan told the newsmen at town police station that accused Abdul Nasir Khan was the ring leader of the criminal gange and Saleem Malik alias Saleem Shuaee was the member of his gang. He said that about a dozen heinous crimes cases had already been registered against the ring leader Abdul Nasir Khan at different police stations of the district while he was the notorious cheater and fraudi of Mirpurkhas and those innocent had been affected with him in past had also been lodged cases against him. He said that today he was first warned by him that why he sent the application to the apex court against him and his gangsters and then attacked upon him.Soon after this incident, emergent meeting of Mirpurkhas union of journalist and National press club Mirpurkhas have strongly condemned the murderous attack upon the senior journalist and president of Mirpurkhas union of journalist. Joint meeting was presided over by Hashim Shar, has demanded the government to take immediate notice of this incident provide protection to local journalists and ensure the arresting of the involved culprits and punish them exemplary.
 
MIRPURKHAS Dec 30. Officials of Phuladyyoon police came under armed attack when they carried out raid at the village of Mari caste people near Samaro Shakh Mori on the secret information for arresting the criminals on Thursday early morning. Report said that on a tip off, regarding the presence of wanted criminals , Phuladyyoon police in police vain conducted raid but some villagers as saw the police party opened indiscriminate firing on the police party but fortunately all the officials were escaped unhurt however bullets were penetrated into the body of the police vain. Police party after this attack came back from the village and then on behalf of state case attempt to murder and strait indiscriminate firing upon police party was lodged with Phuladyyoon police station against the accused Gullo Mari, Rahim Mari, Mumtaz Mari ,Bhongar Mari and a unknown person. However no arrest was yet made by police till filing of the news.
MIRPURKHAS Dec 29. Project of rehabilitation of irrigation channels that have farmer organizations of Nara canal under the world bank funding has been launched as first of all 100 such irrigation channels had been chosed and process of the project “water sector improvement project WSIP-1” of Sindh irrigation and drainage authority SIDA was underway with full swing, while added that this project has age of 5 years. This was stated by Engineer Ghulam Mustufa Ujjan, deputy general manager of the project, while talking to the local news man here on Wednesday. He said that aims of this project were to rehabilitate the water channels with quality work and according to standard and also empowering the local growers and decentralization of the powers. He further said that under this project work of rehabilitation of channels, earth work, desilting , Jangal clearance, repairs of modules , rehabilitation of head regulators , construction of village road bridges and foot bridges , construction of washing Ghat for women, buffalows vallows and construction of offices of farmer organizations. He said that concerned farmer organizations would supervise or execute the rehabilitation work of those water channels that allocation had been made till RS 80 lakhs while SIDA officers and engineers would execute the work with allocation of over RS 80 lakhs of the water channels. He said that first of all supervision and execution work of 3 water channels Karna, Boilo and Kandiaro minor of Thar canal had been handed over to concerned farmer organizations as signatures ceremony on the agreement was held at Mirpurkhas on Dec 14 in which office bearers of concerned FOs and managing director SIDA Mohammad Ahsan Leghari made signatures on the agreement. He told that concerned FO have also been opened their bank accounts and now they were hiring engineers and accountants for starting the work on the site. He said that  process of this project of 28 water channels with allocation of fund about RS 12 crors have also been initiated through national bidding as letters to concerned contractors have also been issued for starting the work on site. He told that among 28 water channels, 5 channels belong to Mithrao canal, 18 belong to upper Nara canal and 5 belong to Jamrao canal. He said that site work would be started at channels during the annual closure of the Nara canal for desilting and repair purpose to be scheduled on Jan 6, 2011.He said that it was the comprehensive project for improvement of irrigation system and success of this project mostly depend on the farmer organizations as they would be independent to work freely without any intervention of the officials. He said that offices of farmer organizations would be constructed and furniture will also be provided to run matters of channels properly. 

MIRPURKHAS Dec 29. Dandi cut longi chili rate has been increased due to less arrival of the production in the Kunri Chili Mandi that was the biggest chili market of the country. Report received that some days ago, rate of Dandi cut Longi chili was RS 7500 to 8000 per maund but owing to declining of the production of Chili its rate has been suddenly increased till RS 9500 to 9700 per maund. Mohammad Mubeen, shopkeeper of a chili shop of Kunri chili Mandi told this scribe that owing to less arrival of chili in the Kunri chili Mandi prices of the Longi chili that was a unique quality of this region has been high . He said that in present season daily 3000 bags to 4000 bags of Longi chili were arrived daily in the market that was less arrival while last year 8000 bags to 10000 bags were arrived daily in the local market . He said that Longi chili crop was arrived in the Kunri Mandi from Shadi Palli, Kot Ghulam Mohammad, Umerkot, Jahiro Farm, Nabisar, Samaro, Kunri, Dhoronaro, Mithi, Digri, Jhuddo , Tando Jan Mohammad, Naokot etc. Chili grower of Kunri taluka Mian Mohammad Saleem told that owing to heavy rainfall chili crop was adversely affected even it was damaged badly as result its production in this region was reduced that affected its rate as result its prices have been very high , however, he said that National level companies were buying the Longi chili from Kunri chili Mandi to run their factories and its less production will affect the whole province particularly. 

MIRPURKHAS Dec 29. A youth was seriously injured when a poultry farm owner allegedly opened fires upon him near Ummehani town, in front of Sattari cotton and ginning factory in the limit of Satellite town police station here on Wednesday. Report said that Abdul Rahim Pathan along with his friend Ghulam Rasool was on his way that a dog of poultry farm disturbed Abdul Rahim Pathan and tried to bite him on which he exchanged hot words with owners of the poultry farm while in reaction Mohammad Yousuf, poultry farm owner allegedly opened fires as result he sustained two bullet injuries , rushed to emergency of civil hospital where he was provided first aid and then shifted to male surgical ward of the hospital. Doctors said that his condition was out of danger. The accused fled away from the spot after this incident. Satellite town police have lodged the case of attempt to murder under section 324, 504 and 34 PPC against the accused Mohammad Yousuf and an unknown on the complaint of Abdul Hakeem Pathan, father of the injured youth. However no accused was yet lodged till filing of the news.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 29. A private dispenser Moti Ram Kolhi was going towards his private clinic on his bike from Old Mirpur here on Wednesday morning that he was disappeared suddenly and his bike was recovered from saline drain, in the limit of Dilber Maher police station. Learnt that he was kidnapped by three unknown armed bandits in a car near village Shah Bux Leghari at Sindhri Mirpurkhas road. SPO Sindhri Pir Allah Rakhio Qureshi told that his relatives and police were searching of the missing above person and it was not confirmed that he was kidnapped. He said that no case of this incident was lodged with concerned police station sofar. 

MIRPURKHAS Dec 29. SPO Sindhri Pir Allah Rakhio has said that Hindu businessman Ajay Kumar who was kidnapped from Samaro Mori stop near Hingorno town a week ago has been recovered after encounter of phuladdyyoon police with dacoits in forest near Girhor Shareef. Talking to this correspondent here on Wednesday, he said that he had been kidnapped by unknown dacoits while during this he also approached to his friend and his father on cell phone. However, he said that on a tip off, heavy contingents of police surrounded the suspected area and after brief encounter, dacoits fled away to leave the hostage Akay Kumar. He denied of paying the ransom for his releasing.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 27. Sugar price has been increased in retail here as result citizens were forced to buy the sugar in retail at RS 71 per kilogramme. Report said that few weeks back, following regular supply of sugar cane crop to mills by growers and crushing the sugar cane according to capacity by sugar mills, rate of sugar had been decreased at RS 68 per Kilogramme after proper production of sugar in the mills . But now sugar mills have increased the rate of its production sugar as result automatically wholesalers increased the price RS 2 per kilogramme and shopkeepers in retail selling the sugar at RS 71 per kilogramme. Talking to newsmen president Sindh chamber of agriculture district Mirpurkhas chapter Mir Zafarullah Talpure has strongly condemned the owners of the sugar mills for declining the sugar cane procurement rate and increasing the rate of sugar production. He deplored that federal government was not taking action against the sugar mills as they had established their monopoly and simultaneously decreased the rate of procurement of sugar cane RS 175 per 40 kilogramme to RS 200 per 40 kilogramme, while on the other hand, he accused that sugar mills managements instead to decrease the rate of sugar due to regular production of sugar but has been increased the sugar rate as result citizens were forced to suffer additional burden for buying the sugar . He demanded the government to take immediate notice of injustice and excesses of the sugar mills owners and ensure reducing the rate of sugar in retail by taking drastic measures against the sugar mills management.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 24. A massive rally was taken out by Tehreek Tahafuz Namoos Risalat here on Friday after Jumma prayer from Madina Masjid to protest against the amendments in blasphemy law. Hundreds of workers and office bearers of various religious parties participated in the rally while carrying banners and placards. They were led by Moulana Hafeezur Rehman Faiz, Mohammad Ali Siddique, Hafiz Akbar Rashid and Hafiz Attaullah , marched throught main roads and reached at Market chowk where speaking at the protesters leaders have strongly condemned the efforts to end the Blasphemy law and also efforts to amend this law on the behest of foreign rulers. They asserted that they would not allow to anyone to amend it. They demanded the government to withdraw the bill regarding amendment in this law presented by Shereen Rehman in the National assembly. They warned that their protest campaign will remained continue till withdrawal of this amendment bill. They announced that like other areas of the country, on Dec 31 complete strike will be observed at Mirpurkhas in protest.
 
MIRPURKHAS Dec 24. Kashif Mari, resident of Kharpara has lodged the case with town police station here on Friday of attempt to murder and issuing the threats of killing. Complainant accused that one Mohammad Kamran had allegedly fired upon him to kill but fortunately he was escaped unhurt, while he was standed outside his house. The accused managed to escape from the spot. He added that above accused had also been aerial firing outside his house a day back.
 
MIRPURKHAS Dec 24. A massive rally was taken out by Muttehda Quami Movement MQM Mirpurkhas zone here on Friday from MQM zonal office to mobilize the people to participate in convention and public Meeting of MQM at Bhit Shah on Dec 25. Hundreds of people including youths, activists, office bearers and citizens at bikes and cars carrying MQM flags rounded at the different roads and streets of the city. They raised slogans, while inviting the people to participate in the MQM public meeting at Bhit Shah. Zonal incharge of MQM Mirpurkhas Azeem Danish told the newsmen that workers and office bearers of 19 zones would participate in the public meeting and it will strengthen the unity and solidarity among the masses of Sindh province. 

MIRPURKHAS Dec 24. President Sindh chamber of agriculture district Mirpurkhas chapter Mir Zafarullah Talpure has strongly condemned the sugar mills managements to decrease the rate of sugar cane from RS 200 per 40 kilogramme to RS 175 per 40 kilogramme while day by day sugar rate was increasing in the country . Talking to local news man on Friday, he accused that sugar mill owners have been setup their monopoly to earn more than benefit as they had declined or decrease the rate of sugarcane while selling their sugar in the market on high rate. He said that sugar cane growers were supplying their cane regularly to end the no cane condition of the sugar mills as result now all the sugar mills in the district Mirpurkhas are crushing the cane daily over 1 lakhs maund according to their capacity. He said that rate RS 200 per 40 kilogrammes was already less against the expenses or input of the cane crop as result growers were deprived of reasonable price of the cane. He added that while wood was also being sold over RS 200 per 40 kilogrammes in the country and sugar mills owners should buy the cane at least RS 300 per 40 kilogrammes but they deliberately decreased the rate simultaneously as result now growers were compelled to supply the cane at RS 175 per 40 kilogrammes and such , he added that they were suffering loss in selling the cane in less rate. He urged the growers to create unity and demanded the government to force the sugar mills to decrease the sugar rate in benefit of the masses.He strongly condemned the Sindh revenue department as deserve flood affected abadgars had been deprived of subsidized fertilizers and seeds provided by the Sindh government for flood affected growers . He said that recently five revenue officials were suspended by DCO Thatta in charges to deprive the genuine flood affected abadgars of subsidized fertilizers and seeds while undeserved people were provided the fertilizers and seeds. He criticized the revenue department as Sindh government had been provided the fertilizers and seeds for deserves flood affected abadgars in the province but revenue officials had distributed the fertilizers and seeds to undeserved people and their favorites as result genuine flood affected abadgars were deprived of their rights even they might not cultivate the crop at their lands in the flood affected areas. He called the Sindh chief minister and governor Sindh to take immediate notice and ensure distribution of subsidized fertilizers and seeds among the genuine flood affected growers without any delay sothat they could survive in their areas.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 23. Complete shutter down strike was observed in Hingorno town and Samaro Mori stop on the call of Shehri Ittihad to protest against the kidnapping of young businessman by unknown car occupants on Thursday . Report said that All the shops in different markets and bazaars of Hingorno town and shops at Samaro Mori stop remained closed whole day while panic remained spread in the surrounding area after kidnapping the young businessman Ajay Kumar son of Mehromal. People have faced hardships particularly belong to rural areas for shopping general commodities and other things due to closure of the shops . A group of citizens led by Khadim Halepota have held demonstration at Hingorno town to protest against not registration of kidnapping case and recovery of the abductee by police. Report added that on Wednesday evening Ajay Kumar, a young businessman had heared a cell phone call and as came away some distance of his shop at Samaro Mori stop that unknown car occupants forcibly kidnapped him in a car and taken him to unknown destination soon after this, all the shops were closed in protest and dozens of protesters held demonstration led by Khadim Halepota to protest against local police. They were demanding the authorities to immediately register the kidnapping case and arrest the involved culprits and recover the abductee. No case of this incident was yet lodged with Phuladyyoon police station till filing of the report. When contacted SPO Sindhri Pir Allah Rakhyo said that it was not kidnapping incident as Ajay Kumar himself went to unknown destination from where he telephoned also his friend and then his father and apprised that he was being taken by unknown persons towards Shahdadpur town, district Sanghar. He said that no victim’s relative came to concerned police station to register the case of this incident. 

MIRPURKHAS Dec 23. Misappropriation cases of lakhs of rupees in account of admission fee and tuition fee by officials of different colleges were detected by regional director colleges Mirpurkhas during the checking of the official records while various embezzled amount was deposited by the officials after being forced by the authority during last a month . Talking to local news man here on Thursday , regional director colleges Mirpurkhas Abdul Aziz Panhwer said that he had caught embezzlement cases of different colleges in the region and forced the officials to deposite the missing amount in government account otherwise legal action will be taken against them after which various embezzled amount was deposited in the government account. He said that principal of the government Modal college Mirpurkhas had been free illegally the tution, admission and private fund fees in first term of the students of first and second years classes while after being forced by him the principal of the above college deposited the total fee RS 63500 in the government account. He further said that a clerk of government degree boys college Tando Jan Mohammad had been misappropriated the fees of students of first year and intermediate classes of RS 77600 , while he caught misappropriation during record checking and as brought the corruption matter on the record involved clerk immediately deposited the embezzled money RS 77600.He said that Khan Mohammad Khoso, clerk of Government girls degree college Umerkot had been misappropriated the different fee money RS 380000 while he deplored that an influential personality of the region was allegedly supporting the above clerk despite this he forced the involved clerk to deposit the embezzled money otherwise he will face stern legal action after which he said that influential personality took his surety and gain few weeks time and added that now above misappropriated government money RS 380000 have been deposited in the government account. He expressed that another misappropriation case was caught during record checking at Government degree boys college Tando Jan Mohammad where he said that clerk Mubashar had been embezzled RS 103339 of admission, tution and other fee of the students and said that at that time Ahsan Qadir was the principal of the college while he said that involved clerk Mubashar is on leave as had gone to Punjab and added that present principal Abbas Kaim Khani has taken surety that as he will rejoin his duty he will deposite the embezzled money in the government account. He said that he was making efforts to remove the corruption by taking drastic measures. 

MIRPURKHAS Dec 23. MQM leader Altaf Hussain had more than practical struggle for the rights of Sindh and was busy to remove the differences of the different communities of the Sindh province by his message of peace and love. This was stated by Siraj Rajput, leader of MQM, while speaking at the general workers meeting of MQM here on Thursday. He said that MQM public meeting at Bhit Shah will bring near the people of Sindh and the conspiracies being hatched to divide the Sindhi people would be ended with efforts of MQM leader. He advised the workers and supporters to participate in large quantity into the convention and public meeting of MQM at Bhit Shah on Dec 25. He said that MQM was struggling against the feudal system and masses were joining the MQM throughout country after being impressed with message of leader Altaf Hussain. He hoped that Sindhi people would participate in large quantity in the MQM public meeting at Bhit Shah. Member zonal committee MQM Mirpurkhas Dr Zafar Kamali also spoke the meeting. 

MIRPURKHAS Dec 23. Citizens are facing great difficulties due to failure of traffic system in the city as result main roads were remained mostly jammed even pedestrians faced hardships owing to illegal encroachments. Report said that despite being the traffic police, traffic remained jammed at the M.A.Jinnah road, Sir Syed road, Mirwah road, Grain market road, Shahi Bazaar road; etc owing to illegal encroachments had been established by influential persons. Report said that illegal encroachers had support of the officials of TMA Mirpurkhas. Owing to encroachments vehicles might not be flow smoothly at the above roads while main hurdle in smooth flow of vehicles was also illegal parking of vehicles at the above roads. Social leader Kamran Kaim Khani, Citizens Furqan Ahmed, Mohammad Saad, Mohammad Aamir, Khurram and others have strongly condemned the illegal encroachments in the city particularly at the main roads. Talking to newsmen they deplored that no authority was feeling the difficulties of the masses and concerned authorities were away to take any legal action against those had been established illegal encroachments and violating the traffic rules. They regretted that they had been complained to concerned authorities in this regard but no action was yet appeared against the violators of traffic laws and illegal encroachers. They expressed that there had been established anti encroachments cell in TMA Mirpurkhas for removing illegal encroachments but that cell was lying silence. They demanded the higher authorities to take immediate notice of negligence of concerned authorities and ensure removal of illegal encroachments in the city as well as implementation on the traffic laws.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 15.  Food technology laboratory that had been constructed in the premises of Sindh horticulture research institute Mirpurkhas was lying unfunction as it was put in the project for saving the wastage of 75 percent Mango crop by producing juice or pulp of the fruit. Report said that in the tenure of ex Sindh chief minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim , project with estimated cost of RS 50 millions was prepared in 2002 for construction of food technology laboratory along with 4 bungalows, 8 quarters and a seminar hall but due to unknown causes it was not implemented at the time and later authorities releases its funds and constructed the buildings of the above project. While only seminar hall was lying incomplete. The aims to establish the food technology laboratory was to produce pulp of Mango for exporting because of due to lake of knowledge and short implementation on post harvest treatment of mango crop , 75 percent of mango production was wastage each year and with preparing the pulp the mango fruit will completely be utilized properly as its pulp will be export saving it’s wastage in huge quantity. However the above laboratory was tested by authorities but it was lying unfunction without season of Mango crop. Director Sindh horticulture research institute Mirpurkhas Dr Atta Hussain Soomro, when asked him about not function of the laboratory, he said that officially we could not run this laboratory regularly as there were various difficulties to run it because he can not arrange the huge quantity of mango fruit as the Mango orchard of this institute was already given on contract and expressed that private companies and contractors could run it regularly with success. He further said that there was required 5 to 7 tons of mango fruit daily for its function regularly that was very difficult for government department. He expressed that different kinds of pulp of fruits were being produced by India for exporting. He told that Sindhri Mango is not proper for pulp and Langra mango is appropriate for pulp production here and added that mango kind Alfanso was being used for pulp in India as India was advanced in producing pulp of mango. He said that he has been furnished proposal to government to give this laboratory on lease or contract for its regular function. He further said that only private contractor could available the required huge quantity of mango daily basis for exporting mango pulp or juice. He told that representatives of Pakola and Pepsi companies had been approached to him for getting the laboratory on lease. He said that we could get pulp and juice of other fruits with changing of wire networking of the machinery of the laboratory. 

MIRPURKHAS Dec 19. Board of intermediate and secondary education BISE Mirpurkhas has announced that supplementary exam of intermediate class will be held from Dec 29, 2010 while practical exam will be held on Jan 17, 2011. Said a handout while girls and boys candidates of Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, and Umerkot and Tharparkar districts have been advised to contact their colleges for further information.Besides, BISE Mirpurkhas announced that last date of submitting the farm  of 9th and 10th classes for annual examination 2011 has been fixed Dec 28 while examination farms with late fee might be submitted till Jan 26, 2011.
 
MIRPURKHAS Dec 19. Social leader Kamran Kaim Khani has called upon the president of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chohadhry to take immediate notice of killing of merit in recruitment of revenue officials (Tapedar) in the Sindh province and provide justice to 207 deserved youths who had been passed the IBA exam and also succeeded in one year training. Speaking at the press conference held here on Sunday at local press club. He said that after publishing advertisement for recruitment for vacate posts of Tapedar, about 18000 candidates had been submitted their application in 2007 and they were appeared in the written test taken by IBA while 436 candidates were succeeded after which they were appeared in viva test in which 278 candidates were announced succeeded. He told that in 2008, they took training in Tapedar training college Hyderabad and after one year training 207 candidates of them were passed in the training. He said that director of settlements survey and land recorded Sindh had been announced their result as passed training 207 candidates. He deplored that they were still not provided their pass certificates by the concerned revenue department even they were deprived of jobs. He said that 637 seats of Tapedars were lying vacate in Sindh province but present Sindh government was making injustice with them as recruiting its favorites on those posts directly without any test, interview and training. He said that about 423 favorites of Sindh government had been issued offer letters despite fulfilling legal proceeding of revenue law. He further said that deserved 207 candidates who had been passed one year training had also been observed token hunger strike in protest at Karachi about 4 months back to protest against government failure to give their share of jobs while he added that advisor to Sindh chief minister Jameel Ahmed Soomro, Waqar Mehdi and Sharmeela Farooque had ended their hunger strike with assurance that they would soon be acquired their posting orders. He said that despite passing 4 months to the promises of the above advisors to Sindh chief minister, deserved candidates were still deprived of their jobs. He urged the higher authorities to take notice, provide them justice by issuing them their posting orders without any delay. 

MIRPURKHAS Dec 19. No cane condition of sugar mills in the district have been ended following supplying regularly the sugarcane to mills by growers while sugar mills were buying the cane at RS 200 per 40 kilogrammes. Report said that Mirpurkhas, Al Abbas, Tharparkar and Digri sugar mills were crushing the cane in the district as the mills offered rate RS 200 per 40 kilogramme to the landlords, growers have resumed the harvesting of the standed cane and supplying the crop to mills without any interval as result no cane condition has now been ended in the mills and they were crushing of cane according to their capacity. Sources said that big landlords who had cultivated cane at their more than lands were being offered secretly the rate RS 220 to 230 per 40 kilogramme by few mills for gaining more than crop to fulfill the crushing capacity of their mills. Sources added that middle men were getting more than benefit as they were purchasing cane from small growers with payment of cane on the spot while then selling the sugarcane to mills in high rate. Sources added that Tharparkar sugar mill was more than buying the cane as its management was very fast to contact with big landlords for buying their cane and paying also payments to landlords as their cane was reached at the mill. When contacted administrative officer of Tharparkar sugar mill Chohadhry Ashraf Arain said that all the above 4 sugar mills of the district were crushing the cane daily about 1 lakhs maunds. He said that rate RS 200 per 40 kilogrammes was being given to growers without transportation fair. He said that sugar cane rate was being offered to growers with mutual consultation of the sugar mills of the district. 

MIRPURKHAS Dec 19. Naib Ameer Jamaat Islami Sirajul Haq has said that oppressed system was continued since 60 years in the country as result majority of the masses are not capable to give education, health, bread and basic facilities to their children. He was speaking at the training session of the workers here on Saturday evening. He said that Moin Qureshi, Shoukat Aziz and Pervez Musharraf had been fled away from the country while Afghanistan has become graveyard of Martyrds because of Afghan masses were fighting with Neto forces otherwise Neto headquarter was to be established at Islamabad. He accused that like black water organizations were responsible of lawlessness in the country as rulers were implementing on the signals of USA . Deputy secretary general Dr Fareed Ahmed Paracha said that government should end its anti masses policy as critical political situation created in the country after parting the ways of JUI (F) with government  and said that JI will opposed those would adopt undemocratic ways for getting benefits from government and advised the government to adopt fruitful and constructive strategy for betterness in the country. He said that we are waiting of decision of the Moulana Fazlur Rehman weather he will rejoin the government or not after which JI will decide its future strategy. MIRPURKHAS Dec 15. Food technology laboratory that had been constructed in the premises of Sindh horticulture research institute Mirpurkhas for producing juice or pulp particularly of Mango had been successfully tested by the officials but due to absence of Mango season it was lying unfunction. Report said that in the tenure of ex Sindh chief minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim , project of RS 50 millions was prepared in 2002 for construction of food technology laboratory along with 4 bunglows, 8 quarters and a seminar hall but its was implemented late due to unknown causes as result sofar 4 bunglows, 8 quarters and building of laboratory were completed while seminar building was lying incomplete. The purpose to establish the food technology laboratory was to produce pulp of Mango for exporting as due to lake of knowledge and short implementation on post harvest treatment, 75 percent of mango production was wastage each year and with preparing the pulp the mango fruit will be utilized properly as pulp will be export saving it’s damages in huge quantity. Director Sindh horticulture research institute Mirpurkhas Dr Atta Hussain Soomro said that different kinds of pulp of fruits were being produced by India for exporting while food technology laboratory Mirpurkhas has been established and machinery was in running condition but at this time, he added that there is no season of Mango crop here as result it was lying without function. He told that Sindhri Mango is not proper for pulp and Langra mango is appropriate for pulp production here and added that mango kind Alfanso was being used for pulp in India as India was advanced in producing pulp of mango. He further said that for running the machinery of producing pulp, 5 to 7 tons of required quantity of Mango are not available here and said that above laboratory will be given on lease to private companies or contractor to continue its function. He told that private contractor will available the required quantity of mango and will pack the pulp and then it will be exported. He said that the mango orchards of the institute had already been given on contract and administration of the institute might not be run it with success on regular basis. He told that representatives of Pakola and Pepsi companies had been approached to him for getting the laboratory on lease. He said that we could get pulp of other fruits with changing of wire networking of the machinery. He further said that he has been furnished proposal to government for leasing out the above laboratory for it’s continuous running. 

MIRPURKHAS Dec 15. Matami processions of 8th Muharram were taken out and majalis were held in various Imam Bargahs in the city amidst strict security arrangements here on Wednesday. Report said that Majalis were held at different Imam Bargahs including Azakhana Zuhra, Makhan Shah shrine, Al Mashadi, Panjtani Imam Bargah, Taqi Shah, Hazara, Haidery, Abotarab etc amidst strict security arrangements as body search was taken of each person entering into the Imam Bargah. Heavy police and Rangers personnels were deployed at the Imam Bargahs and ways of the Matami processions to control any untoward incident. While the administration had been sealed the ways of processions with the help of iron wires. Processions were taken out from Haidery Imam Bargah while other procession was taken out from Abotarab Imam Bargah and after marching through main roads ended to reach Haidery and Abotarab Imam Bargahs. A Matami procession was taken out from Chaki Para and ended to reach at Khari quarter. Procession was taken out from Khari quarter to shrine Makhan Shah and a procession was taken out from Nai Para and ended at its destination. CC-TV cameras were installed at the sensitive buildings and officials of bomb disposal squad have also checked the ways of the Matami processions. DPO Mirpurkhas Zulfiqar Maher told the newsmen that strict security arrangements had been made on the sensitive places, important chowks, entry and exit ways, Mosques, and all Imam Bargahs. He further said that 3 police control rooms have been setup in Municipal complex while 12 close circuit camera have also been installed at different places to check any miscreant, while 1200 police personnels along with 100 rangers’ personnels were day night giving their duties. Report said that Zakirs and participators of Majalis have strongly condemned the pro long load shedding of Hesco in Muharram month and warned that if any untoward incident was occurred hesco or Wapda will be responsible of any untoward incident.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 11. Tando Jan Mohammad police have carried out raids on Friday night at different places and in surrounding villages of Deh 189, taluka Digri and apprehended three accused of the murder case of Ms Nasreen Jarwar, 15, who had been kidnapped by unknown persons while kidnappers murdered her and threw her body in the Naseer canal. Report said that on the information of villagers, Tando Jan Mohammad police have fished out the body of Ms Nasreen Jarwar, 15, d/o Faiz Mohammad Jarwar, resident of village Khan Mohammad Jarwar in the limit of Tando Jan Mohammad police, from the Naseer canal near 25000 Mori on Dec 9 while her identification was made by her relatives. Police immediately removed her body to rural health center Tando Jan Mohammad where post mortem was made by Dr Perveen Arain and later the deceased body was handed over to her heirs. Lady Doctor told the newsmen that torture marks on her body was visible while she was strangulated. However tissues of her body had also been sent to laboratory for testing. Ms Zareena Jarwar, mother of deceased registered her murder case with Tando Jan Mohammad police station stating that 10 days ago, her daughter deceased Ms Nasreen Jarwar, 15, went to take water at near by Shakh that accused Chaman, Mukhtiar, Arbab, Ali Raza, Allah ditto, Gulzar, Mustafa and Sawan , all by caste Jarwar, allegedly abducted her and after 10 days they killed her and threw her body in the Naseer canal. Complainant Ms Zareena Jarwar and her husband Faiz Mohammad Jarwar told the newsmen that killers had oppressed upon their daughter and brutally murdered her after torturing. They demanded the higher authorities to provide them justice by giving exemplary punishment to the culprits. Investigation officer of this murder case sub inspector Nadeem told that police had conducted the raids at villages of nominated accused and their surrounding areas and apprehended 3 nominated accused including Allah ditto, Sawan and Ali Raza. He further said that raids at suspected places are continued to nab the remaining 5 nominated accused and hoped that they would soon be held. He said that arrested above three nominated accused were produced in the court of civil judge and judicial magistrate Digri taluka on Saturday morning while the court awarded their 4 days police remand. 

MIRPURKHAS Dec 11. Assistant vice president of National bank of Pakistan municipal branch Mirpurkhas Khalil Ahmed Bhurgari has accused that Satellite town police have been failed to arrest the robbers who had committed robbery in his house early Tuesday morning. Talking to newsmen at local press club here on Saturday, he stated that 6 robbers on Dec 7 early morning barged into his house and held hostage to all the inmates and looted Cash RS 35000, a license pistol with 25 bullets, mobiles and 4 Tola gold ornaments and fled away from the spot. He said that he had lodged the case with Satellite town police station but despite passing 4 days, no culprit was yet nabbed by the police. He demanded the provincial police officer, RPO Hyderabad , DIG Mirpurkhas and DPO Mirpurkhas to take notice, ensure arresting of the culprits and recovery of his booty.
 
 
MIRPURKHAS Dec 11. Three demonstrations were held outside the local press club including a joint demonstration was held of local journalists and Jeay Sindh Muttehda Mahaz district Mirpurkhas, another scores of women and Gulistan e Mazoreen center Mirpurkhas to protest against the failure of police to nab the accused of the murder case of local journalist Sultan Mehmood Chandio here on Saturday. Report said that first demonstration was held by local journalists led by Saleem Azad and office bearers and workers of JSMM district Mirpurkhas led by Riaz Leghari while demanding the higher authorities to ensure immediate arresting of the killers of local journalist Sultan Mehmood Chandio. They warned that if his killers were not arrested within few days then local journalists and other organizations would make their future strategy in this regard. In another demonstration, dozens of ladies of Gulshan colony have staged sit in outside local press club and calling the authorities to nab the real accused of the murder of local journalist. Dozens of disables of Gulistan e Mazoreen center Mirpurkhas led by Javed Malik have held demonstration outside the local press club demanding the DPO Mirpurkhas to take notice and ensure arresting of the accused of the murder case of Sultan Mehmood Chandio, local journalist.
 
MIRPURKHAS Dec 11. Provincial minister for agriculture Syed Ali Nawaz Shah has condoled with bereaved family of late local journalist Sultan Mehmood Chandio to go to his residence at Gulshan colony here on Saturday. Minister expressed his deep grief and sorrow and prayed to Allah for his departed soul. On this occasion, relatives and friends of late journalist have expressed their dissatisfaction over the police officers conducting the investigation of his murder case. They expressed their reservations on the DPO Mirpurkhas and demanded the minister to approach to higher authorities to change the investigation of this case to other police officers. 

MIRPURKHAS Dec 11. Ameer Aalmi Majlis Tahafuz Khatam e Nabuwat Moulana Shabbir Ahmed Karnalvi, Moulana Hafeezur Rehman Faiz, Mufti Ubaidullah Anwer, and Moulana Mohammad Ali Siddique have said that we would not allow the government to amend the blasphemy law or making it ineffective. They were speaking at the blasphemy rally at local press club here on Saturday that was participated by hundreds of office bearers and workers of Aalmi Majlis e Khatame Nabuwat, Jamiat ulmai Islam, Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat, Jamaat Islami and Ulma action committee. They said that if the government moves to remove blasphemy law then rulers would count their last days. They demanded the government to withdraw the bill presented by Shereen Rehman and implement on the decisions of meeting of all the Ulmas to be scheduled on Dec 15 at Islamabad

Police have extended investigation circle of the murder case of local journalist Sultan Mehmood Chandio as some servants of nominated accused have been taken into custody for interrogation. Report said that Investigation team of the Sultan Mehmood Chandio murder case carried out further raids and taken into custody some employees of 4 real brothers included Aleem , Saleem, Waseen and Nadeem by caste \kaim \khani who had been nominated as accused in the murder case while police have extended its circle of investigation following detention of various friend’s of \khalid Joyo, brother of frist wife of slain journalist who had been committed suicide about three years back due to domestic affair. When contacted DPO Mirpurkhas Zulfiqar Maher said that this murder case has been very difficult following the registration of murder case in hurry and it has become a case of transport Mafia. He expressed that he wanted to investigate this case thoroughly on each angle. He further said that each and every thing related to this case are coming forward gradually and hoped that we would be succeeded to arrest the real culprits. 

MIRPURKHAS Dec 8. Deputy district officer DDO agriculture extension taluka Mirpurkhas Abdul Jabbar Memon has been submitted the challan in the court of civil judge and judicial magistrate Mirpurkhas 1, Ahmed Nawaz Domki under Sindh fertilizer control act against the two fertilizer dealers after receiving the negative report of the sample of the fertilizers from concerned fertilizer laboratory here on Wednesday. Report said that above officer had been taken samples in past of fertilizers including Nitrogen phosphate potassium NPK of Gracks international company from the fertilizer dealer Muhammad Ali Maher, situated at 78 Mori taluka Mirpurkhas and another sample of fertilizer Fast of economy pesticide company was taken from fertilizer dealer Shahbaz Rafique at Hilal Ahmer shopping center at Mirwah road Mirpurkhas and their samples were sent to fertilizer laboratory for testing after completion of the legal formality. Security has been beefed up in the district as the started 1st Muharram here on Wednesday as Mirpurkhas district was already included in the list of sensitive districts of the province and higher authorities had been issued directives to police to make fool proof security arrangements in the district. Police and rangers have been intensified the patrolling and police personnels have been deployed at sensitive places including Imam Bargahs and mosques. District police had been already chalked out its plan to make fool proof security arrangements in the district. Rangers’ personnels have also been deployed at different places in the city and other areas of the district. Besides, DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon had been held meeting in this regard and had directed the all administrators of TMA of the district to ensure cleanliness in their respected limits on occasion of Muharram. He had directed to EDO health to keep alert the ambulances and necessary medicines at necessary spots to provide the first aid on occasion of Ashura. Meanwhile, TMA Mirpurkhas administrator Abdul Wahab Abbasi has paid visit of different areas of the city including Bukhari Shah Ka Pir, TB hospital Nai Para, Gaoon Shala, Tata Mill, Dedal Shah Ka Pir, Bibi Ka Pir, union council no 2 and Khan road . He has suspended on this occasion to Mohammad Sabir, sanitary inspector and Abdul Jabbar, incharge Nala Gang in charges of their poor performance and negligence.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 7. Mirpurkhas police have arrested about 6 suspected persons in connection of murder of local journalist Sultan Mehmood Chandio while raids are continued at suspected places to nab the real culprits. Sources said that heavy contingents of police carried out raids at different places in the city on Monday late night and taken into custody about 6 suspected persons while interrogation was being made with them at unknown whereabouts. Police sources said that police were investigating on different lines and efforts are continued to trace the real culprits involved in the murder.
On the other hand Soyam of the deceased journalist was held in Rahim Nagar where hundreds of people including DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon, DPO Mirpurkhas Zulfikar Maher, leader of JSQM Basheer Khan Qureshi, lawyers, doctors, representatives of different NGOs . Journalists of Mirpurkhas and other towns and districts of the province have participated. Earlier Quran Khawani and Fateha Khawani were also held. Later, leader of JSQM Basheer Khan Qureshi talking to newsmen at local press club said that deceased journalist Mehmood Sultan Chandio was the member of national Tehreek with him in past and strongly condemned of his murder. He demanded the authorities to conduct open thoroughly inquiry of his murder to arrest the real culprits of his murder.Meanwhile, emergent joint meeting of National press club Mirpurkhas and Mirpurkhas union of journalist was held presided by Afaq Ahmed Khan advocate, while the meeting called the president , prime minister, chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chohadhry, and federal minister for information to order the judicial inquiry the case of slain journalist Mehmood Sultan Chandio. Meeting sought the protection from Sindh government for journalists and immediate arresting of the involved culprits of murders of Zubair Ahmed Mujahid and Mehmood Sultan Chandio. 

MIRPURKHAS Dec 7. Mirpurkhas board of intermediate and secondary education has been announced the annual result of SSC part 1(9th class) examination 2010 here on Tuesday. According to result, 24668 girls and boys candidates appeared in the annual exam while 21475 candidates’ girls and boys succeeded in 5 papers. 1907 candidates in 4 papers, 789 candidates in 3 papers, 172 candidates in 2 papers and 52 candidates in 1 paper were succeeded. 

MIRPURKHAS Dec 7. Scores of landlords and growers were defaulter of not paying outstanding dues of lining of their water courses under the national programme for improvement of water courses in the district and total RS 1397675 were to be paid to government by defaulter’ growers. Official sources informed the local news man that in the tenure of ex president General Pervez Musharraf , huge amount was yearly provided to this national programme for improvement of irrigation system and about 200 water courses were fixed target each year to lining the water courses under the programme but unfortunately for last two years very less amount were provided to this district in the programme as result last year only 25 water courses were completed against the 200 target fixed for lining of water courses . Sources added that however during last 4 years a huge amount had been stuck up as landlords and growers get not constructed their Katcha water courses as Pucca water courses and allegedly misappropriated the provided funds. However present DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon took serious notice when the matter discussed in the meetings of stucking up huge amounts and ordered to recover the arrears from defaulters under land revenue act. Sources said that RS 1,5139529 had been stuck up in past while DDO revenues of different taluka of the district with the help of concerned police detained the defaulters and pressurized the guilty growers as result sofar RS 13741845 stuck up amout had yet been recovered from the defaulters. While remaining amount RS 1397675 were as outstanding dues on defaulters’ growers and landlords including ex MPA Syed Inayat Ali Shah. When contacted district officer National programme for improvement of water courses Mirpurkhas Leemo Khan Mari told that for last 6 months no fund was provided to the department for lining purpose of the water courses as result work in field was halted. He said that concerned DDO revenue were cooperating to recover the remaining amount of the stuck up amount from defaulters with the help of police.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 6. Murder case of Sultan Mehmood Chandio, president press club Mirpurkhas was lodged with town police station on the complaint of Barkat Chandio , personal guard of a local transporter against the  four real brothers including Saleem , Waseem, Aleem and Nadeem , all by cast Kaim Khani who are said to be starter of transport  here on Monday early morning. While heavy contingents of police carried out raids at different places in the city to arrest the Nominated persons, however no suspected person was yet detained for interrogation into this case. Strike was observed in the city in morn of the deceased journalist on Monday here while strict security arrangements were made on this occasion in the city to avert any untoward incident. Main markets, bazaars, shopping centers, hotels, petrol and CNG service stations also remained closed as result people faced hardships for getting petrol and CNG gas for their vehicles. Report said that on the directives of high ups a investigation team has been formed for investigation into this murder case including DPO Sanghar Abdullah Shaikh, ex DSP Mirpurkhas Qamar Shaikh, SPO Satellite town Sher Khan , SHO Satellite town Amin Mari , SPO Sindhri Ayub Dars and sub inspector Ghulam Mustufa Thebo. However no progress to arrest the real culprits was yet made by police while sources said that police were looking on different aspects of this case.On Sunday night, funeral of deceased journalist Sultan Mehmood Chandio was held In Eidgah ground near Chandni chowk that was attended by hundreds of people including DCO Ghulam Hussain Memon, DPO Zulfikar Maher, DIG Mirpurkhas Rasool Bux Sand, government officers, notables , representatives of different NGOs, lawyers, doctors , journalists and citizens. Later he was laid to rest at Ismail Shah Graveyard, near Gulshan colony.DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon, DIG Mirpurkhas Rasool Bux Sand, DPO Zulfikar Maher and regional director information Noor Mohammad Mirrani have condoled with Mohammad Khan Chandio, son of deceased journalist and pray to Allah for his departed soul. On this occasion DPO said that culprits of this murder will soon be arrested. MPA Mir Mehboob Talpure, PPP central executive committee member Hari Ram Kishori Lal, Syed Mumtaz Shah, Syed Zulfikar Ali Shah of PML (Q), Junaid Buland of PPP, Shah Nawaz Mughal, districts officers and political and social leaders have also condoled with bereaved family. 

MIRPURKHAS Dec 6. Kot Ghulam Mohammad police have been registered the case of armed attack upon its SHO Lala Javed Mirza in which SHO along with a youth sustained bullet injuries on Monday early morning . On behalf of state case was lodged with KGM police station against the accused Akbar Jiskani, activist of Sindh Tarraqi Passand party and 9 others in charges of attempt to murder, creating hurdles in government duty and also creating dispute. However, no accused of this case was yet arrested by police. It may be recalled that on Sunday evening an activist of STPP had been opened fires on the SHO KGM Lala Javed Mirza outside the KGM police station while he was coming outside the press club as result SHO and a youth Adnan Kaim Khani sustained bullet injuries. Injured SHO Lala Javed Mirza was referred to civil hospital Hyderabad due to his serious condition while injured Adnan Kaim Khani was admitted in the civil hospital Mirpurkhas. Report said that surgeons made operation of the injured SHO and his condition is said to be stable in civil hospital Hyderabad . 

MIRPURKHAS Dec 6. DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon has announced to give aid RS 5 lakhs, 2 government jobs and suffering educational expenses of family of slain local journalist Sultan Mehmood Chandio on behalf of district government Mirpurkhas, while presiding over a condolence meeting held here on Monday evening at Bhittai cultural hall. He expressed his grief and sorrow over his murder and said that he had provided over 6 millions grant to press club Mirpurkhas as he loved with journalists of Mirpurkhas who are more than cooperative than journalists of other districts. He requested the journalists to cooperate with police to trace out the real involved culprits of this murder. DPO Mirpurkhas Zulfikar Maher said that he is not satisfied with the FIR lodged of this murder case that was registered in hurry while he revealed that a decision was taken in his meeting with journalists regarding registration of the murder case but unfortunately names were nominated in the FIR as accused in hurry against decision of his meeting with journalists. He deplored that journalists were not cooperating with him to trace the real culprits of this murder and asked the journalists to cooperate with him in this regard. He said that nominated accused of this murder case were agreed to be handed over to police within 24 hours, as a sources informed him. DIG Mirpurkhas Rasool Bux Sand said that investigation team will conduct inquiry impartially and real culprits would soon be challaned. Local journalists including Mohammad Hashim Shar, Saleem Azad, Qamaruddin, Rashid Saleem, Haji Aslam Rajput, Mohammad Bux Kapri, Azhar Jilani etc have paid rich tribute to slain journalist and demanded the government to announce the compensation for the bereaved family and ensure apprehending of the accused of this murder case . Those also spoke Moulana Hafeezur Rehman Faiz, Mufti Shareef Saeedi, Ziaul Hassan Naqvi, Haji Akhlaque, director information Mirpurkhas Noor Muhammad Mirrani and director information Hyderabad Imdad Hussain Keerio.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 5.  President press club Mirpurkhas and reporter of Awaz TV Sindhi channel Sultan Mehmood Chandio, 45, was gunned down by unknown assailants in target killing outside his house at Al Imran town here on Sunday. Report said that unknown assassinators knocked door of his house and as Sultan Mehmood Chandio came out from his house unknown killers who had come there on bike opened fires upon him as result a bullet hit his brain as result he fell down in blood pool while soon after this incident unknown killers fled away from the spot on their bike. Seriously injured Sultan Mehmood Chandio was rushed to civil hospital Mirpurkhas for first aid but he died after some time in the hospital. It may be mentioned here necessary that on Nov 27, 2007, senior journalist Zubair Ahmed Mujahid was killed by unknown armed assassinators when he was going to his house along with his collegue at bike in Scheme no 2, Satellite town. But unfortunately still police remained fail to nab his killers. News of murder of Sultan Mehmood Chandio was spread like fire of forest during this hundreds of people including journalists, activists of different political parties and DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon and DPO Mirpurkhas Zulfikar Maher reached there. Civil surgeon told that cause of his death was the bullet wound in brain. Journalists of both press club Mirpurkhas and National press club Mirpurkhas have protested on his brutal murder and demanded the government to ensure immediate arresting of his killers. He has left behind a wife, 6 children and mother. It may be recalled that deceased journalist was remained as activist of JSQM in past. Report said that his first wife had been committed suicide on domestic affair in past and his brother in law Khalid Joyo who was resident of Dubai had established enmity with deceased journalists , while report said that Khalid Joyo had also been issued him threats of killing . Report further said that deceased journalist had also been informed to ex DPO Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Shaikh regarding issuance of threats of killing to him. In mourn some markets were closed soon after his murder but later some armed persons resorted to aerial firing in the city after which markets and bazaars were closed. His body was brought at his previous house at Gulshan colony from civil hospital where hundreds of people including notables reached and condemned his murder. Joint emergency meeting of National press club Mirpurkhas and Mirpurkhas union of Journalist was held here on Sunday presided by Afaq Ahmed Khan have strongly condemned of the assassination of Sultan Mehmood Chandio , local journalist and president press club Mirpurkhas and demanded the authorities to arrest the culprits involved in his murder. Meeting decided to observe three days mourn , hoisting the black flag at the National press club Mirpurkhas building and also fixation of the condemned banners at different places in the city. When contacted DPO Mirpurkhas Zulfikar Maher said that investigation was being made into this murder however no suspect was yet nabbed by police. Office bearers and workers of different political parties including PPP, MQM, Jamaat e Islami, STPP, JSQM, Awami Tehreek and others have condemned the murder and condoled with bereaved family in different press release. MNA Mir Munawar Ali Talpure, provincial advisor Sharmeela Farooqi and leaders of different political parties have strongly condemned of his assassination and urged the authorities to arrest his killers.

MIRPURKHAS Dec 5. Finance secretary of All Pakistan trade unions organization Fazal Malik, chairman Sindh sugar mills workers federation Abdul Hameed Shaikh and Abdul Majeed Batt of Mirpurkhas sugar mills have strongly condemned the shortage of basic facilities in Mirpurkhas labour colony. In a joint press statement issued here on Sunday, they said that labours living in the Mirpurkhas labor colony were facing great hardships due to absence of provisions of basic facilities including construction of mosque, drinking water, Sui gas, electricity, sewerage and security. They said that unrest and resentment had been prevailed among the labours residing there and demanded the Sindh chief minister and provincial minister for labour to resolve the problems of labours by providing basic facilities in Mirpurkhas labour colony and end the resentment and unrest among the labours. 

MIRPURKHAS Dec 5. Various journalists and activists of social and political organizations have held demonstration at Hyderabad Mirpurkhas road near Ratanabad and blocked the main Hyderabad Mirpurkhas road to protest against the murder of local journalist Sultan Mehmood Chandio. Owing to blockade of the main road, vehicular traffic was suspended between Tandoallahyar and Mirpurkhas for an hour. Protesters carrying banners and placards, demanding the authorities to apprehend the involved culprits. Later, DPO Mirpurkhas Zulfikar Maher reached at the spot, assured the protesters for arresting of the involved culprits after which traffic was restored and protesters ended their protest.Meanwhile, Chairman Mirpurkhas action committee Kanji Rano Bheel advocate has strongly condemned the murder of local journalist and expressed his grief sorrow and condoled with bereaved family, said a press release. 

MIRPURKHAS Dec 5. Various rallies were taken out by different organizations here on Sunday to celebrate cultural day on second day here. Rallies were taken out from railway station while participators wearing Sindhi cap and Ajrak, danced on the Sindhi songs. On this occasion strict security arrangements were made to provide protection to the participators of the rallies. Participators marched through main roads and reached at press club where they asserted that they would celebrate Sindhi cultural day each year with enthusiasm. 

MIRPURKHAS Dec 5. Two persons including SHO Kot Ghulam Mohammad were injured in armed attack outside the KGM press club in Kot Ghulam Mohammad town on Sunday evening. Report received that various activists of Sindh Tarraqi Passand party STPP were forcing the shopkeepers to shutter down in mourn of murder of journalist Mehmood Sultan Chandio in market of KGM town that dispute was occurred between shopkeepers and activists , later they were sitting in KGM press club to decided the dispute . On this occasion SHO Kot Ghulam Mohammad Lala Javed Mirza was sitting outside the press club that as the activists of STPP came out from the press club one of the activist Zaib Khaskheli allegedly opened fires on the SHO as result SHO Lala Javed Mirza and a youth Adnan Kaim Khani sustained bullet injuries. The involved activists managed to escape from the spot. Hundred of citizens gathered at the spot after this incident. While injured were rushed to taluka hospital KGM where they were provided first aid and then referred for civil hospital Mirpurkhas. As the report reached here DPO Mirpurkhas Zulfikar Maher and DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon reached at the civil hospital while surgeon and doctors were also called in emergency. SHO Lala Javed Mirza was referred for LMUH Hyderabad due to his precarious condition as he had received three bullets in stomach. While another injured Adnan Kaim Khani was admitted in male surgical ward after providing him medical treatment. On this occasion civil surgeon Dr Asghar Arain said that condition of injured SHO Lala Javed Mirza was stable and said that his operation will be made at Hyderabad for recovery of bullets from his body. However no accused of this incident was arrested even no case of this incident was lodged with KGM police station till filing of the news.
