MIRPURKHAS Nov 28. Hundreds of workers and office bearers of Sunni Tehreek Mirpurkhas have held demonstration here on Saturday night at Market chowk to protest against the creating hurdles by Punjab government in the peaceful Pakistan Bachao long march of Sunni Tehreek in Punjab . Protesters have blocked the main M.A.Jinnah road as result traffic was suspended. Protesters also burnt the old tyres, demanding the federal government to take notice of illegal intervention of Punjab government in the peaceful long march of Sunni Tehreek and stop it without any delay in the benefit of the peaceful masses of the country. Speaking at the protesters member Rabita committee of Sunni Tehreek Sindh Mohammad Iltimas Sabir Qadri and Khalid Hassan Attari have strongly condemned the Punjab government for creating obstacles in the way of peaceful long march. They asserted that we are ready to give any kind of sacrifices for ending of terrorism in the country. They said that peaceful long march was taken out by Sunni Tehreek to raise voices against the terrorism, price hike, lawlessness, corruption etc. They deplored that Punjab government was proving with its acts that it has been supporting the terrorists including activists of banned religious organizations. They demanded the federal government to take immediate notice of intervention of Punjab government otherwise law and order situation might be disturbed in each city and town of the country and Punjab government will be responsible of it. 

MIRPURKHAS Nov 28. General secretary of Jamaat e Islami Sindh Rashid Nasim has accused that rulers are running the country on the directives and dictation of United state as tax was being imposed on each thing  and it was seemed that tax will soon be impose on taking breath. He was speaking at the office bearers and workers of Jamaat e Islami Mirpurkhas here on Sunday. He said that Haj pilgrims of India had performed Haj with all facilities but Haj scandal appeared under which Pakistani Haji faced acute hardships during performing Haj. He alleged that rulers are giving proofs of their negligence in each department of life as court had awarded sentence of death in charges of  blasphemy to Ms Asia Masih but rulers were busy to save her from punishment to satisfy USA and European countries even efforts were being made to amend in the law of blasphemy. He warned that if the rulers made any amendment in Blasphemy law that will be last time of the government. He warned that government should stop its efforts to amend the law of blasphemy to save the above woman from punishment. Ameer JI Mirpurkhas Babuddin, General Secretary Abo Maaz and Haji Noor Illahi were also present on this occasion. 
 
MIRPURKHAS Nov 28. Head master of Government high school Mirpurkhas has foiled bit to transfer a higher school teacher of government boys middle school Punhoon Mari taluka Hussain Bux Mari through alleged fake transfer order, relieving report and service book . Report said that Muhammad Ashraf Leghari , head master of government high school Mirpurkhas has recently addressed a letter to EDO education Mirpurkhas in which he stated that Ghulam Murtaza Arbab, assistant of office of assistant district officer education male taluka Hussain Bux Mari brought before him a transfer order, relieving report, LPC and service book of Mohammad Muzammil Khan for signature on them, while he was in hurry and signed the papers as drawing and disbursement officer, but immediately it was come into my notice that the transfer order, relieving report and service book were allegedly fake and prepared by Ghulam Murtuza Arbab , assistant of ADOE(M) Hussain Bux Mari office. He requested that following documents of Muhammad Muzammil Khan, HST may be treated as fake and false including relieving report, last pay certificate and service book. He further said that Ghulam Murtuza Arbab, assistant of ADOE (M) Hussain Bux Mari made fraud with him so legal action may be taken against him. When contacted above head master of the government high school Mirpurkhas told the news man that fake above documents were brought before him and unfortunately he made his signatures upon them while he was in hurry at time , however as he knew about the fake documents he written a letter to EDO education Mirpurkhas informing him about the fake documents of above teacher and requested the EDO education to take legal action against Ghulam Murtaza Arbab , assistant ADOE(M) Hussain Bux Mari as he had committed fraud with him. When contacted EDO education Mirpurkhas Jalil Lashari admitted of receiving the letter of the above head master and said that he has been formed a three member inquiry committee to probe into this matter action will be taken into this matter after receiving the inquiry report. 

MIRPURKHAS Nov 28. An abnormal girl was criminal assaulted at Muhammadi quarter near Walkart in the limit of Satellite town police station here on Sunday. Report said that Ms Shamim Baloch aged about 15-16 years was criminally assaulted by one accused Khuda Bux Baloch. The accused fled away from the spot when relatives of victims gathered at the spot. The victim girl is said to be abnormal. Muhammad Hassan Baloch, cousin of the victim girl, has lodged the case under section 376 with Satellite town police station accusing that accused Khuda Bux Baloch had forcibly rapped with his cousin Ms Shamim Baloch. Satellite town police carried out raid on a tip off, and apprehended the nominated accused Khuda Bux Baloch, while police brought both accused and victim girl to civil hospital for their medical examination. Police told that doctors have confirmed the rap with the victim girl while medical examination of the accused was continued in the hospital till filing of the news.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 22. Opposition leader of Sindh assembly and leader of Pakistan Muslim league functional Jam Madad Ali has said that Thar coal is the very important source of energey of the country and political parties are only making politics on it instead of implement on its project to meet the requirement of electricity of the country. He was speaking at the 82nd birth anniversary of Hazrat Pir Sahab Pagara held here on Monday at local lawn under the auspices of PML functional Mirpurkhas that was attended by hundreds of workers and office bearers of PML(F) Mirpurkhas. He paid rich tribute to Hazrat Pir Sahab Pagara for his great services for the masses of the country and said that his personality could only unite the Muslim league factions in the country. He expressed that Pir Sahab have always promoted the brotherhood in the country. Advisor to Sindh chief minister Faqeer Babar Khan Leghari and Kashif Nizamani said that Pir Sahab Pagara has been politically strengthen the government and country and have paid his great role in the national level politics in the interest of the masses. They drawn light on the services of Hazrat Pir Sahab Pagara and asked the masses to support his leadership for better future of the country. Later, a big cake was cutted by the leaders that were served to the participators.
MIRPURKHAS Nov 22. Opposition leader of Sindh assembly and leader of PML(F) Jam Madad Ali has condemned the political victimization with ex Sindh chief ministers Arbab Ghulam Rahim and Liaqat Jatoi and other political leaders and workers and said that political victimization should be stop without any delay. He was giving the answers of the questions of the local newsmen here on Monday. He said that today media is independent and it was exposing the political victimization with leaders of political parties. He furthers said that there was need of positive and healthy political atmosphere in the country. He alleged that government is not sincere with Thar coal project and it was making politics on it while this project was to be completed before 3 years. He alleged that undeserved persons were getting the government aid for flood affected people while there was need to be provided aid them on emergency basis because of cold season has been launched that will increase their difficulties. He stressed need to make transparent the Watan card distribution process. He deplored that Sindh government was making all decision itself and he was not taken into confidence in any matter by Sindh government. 
MIRPURKHAS Nov 22. Acting DCO and EDO finance Mirpurkhas Syed Zakir Shah has said that subsidized sugar has been reached here on Monday evening from Karachi and its sale will be started at RS 71 per kilogramme through over 40 fair price shops setup in the district Mirpurkhas from Tuesday Morning. He was talking to newsmen here on Monday. He told that subsidized sugar was to be arrived here before Eid ul Azha but owing to non availability of transports at Karachi , Sindh agriculture department was failed to dispatch the subsidized sugar quota of district Mirpurkhas. He said that over 40 fair price shops have been setup in the district and from Tuesday morning sale of sugar will be started at RS 71 per kilogramme through fair price shops. He warned the shop keepers and push cart owners to display the price list of general commodities, vegetables, fruits etc and during raids if he found missing of the price lists he will take stern legal action against the violators or guilty shopkeepers . 
MIRPURKHAS Nov 22. Satellite Town police have arrested six persons including three women from a house in shameful condition while recovered from them wine and a car here on Sunday night. Report said that on a tip off, SPO Satellite town Sher Khan Rind carried out raid at the house of Allah Warayo, a clerk of revenue department Mirpurkhas at Mehmoodabad and apprehended landlord Luqman Lashari, son of Maher Ali Lashari, ex nazim of Kherao Shakh union council , Imdad , Haneef, Ms Fatima, Ms Zakia and Ms Aisha and recovered wine bottle and a car from their possession. Police kept the recovered women at secret places and registered the case under section 294 and 34 PPC in which police showed that they were recovered from a car instead of house of above revenue official. Later on the surety of influential personality police released them.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 21. Scores of villagers of Peromal, district Sanghar, civil society, human rights activists and Mirpurkhas action committee have held demonstration here on Sunday outside the local press club to protest against the failure of Peromal police to arrest the nominated accused of the murder case of peasant Ghulam Sarwar Janwari despite passing 5 days to the incident. Protesters led by Kanji Rano Bheel advocate, chairman Mirpurkhas action committee and human rights activist, carried banners and placards, blocked the main Mirpurkhas Hyderabad road for two hours as result traffic was suspended. They raised slogans against the Peromal police and demanding the higher authorities to ensure apprehending the nominated accused of the murder case. Among the protesters were Amerchand Bheel , Ismail, Sarwan Kumar Bheel, etc. On this occasion, Kanji Rano Bheel advocate , chairman Mirpurkhas action committee told the newsmen that On Nov 15 morning , peasant Ghulam Sarwar Janwary went to landlord Yaqoob Rajar, in Peromal village for getting share of his crop for Eid shopping of his family that when he demanded his share among the villagers, landlord anguished and he along with his henchmen attacked upon the peasant with axes as result he sustained serious wounds, rushed to civil hospital Benazeerabad for proper treatment. On same day, Ali Akbar Janwari, uncle of the injured peasant lodged the case of attempt to murder with Peromal police station against the landlord Yaqoob Rajar, Shafi Mangrio, Ghulam Rasool Khaskheli and supervisor of the land Mohammad Moosa Khaskheli. However on Nov 16, the injured peasant was died of serious wounds in civil hospital Benazeerabad. The case of attempt to murder was changed into murder case. He said that according to Peromal police one of the nominated accused Mohammad Moosa Khaskheli was arrested by police, however still remaining three nominated accused including influential landlord Yaqoob Rajar were at large. He accused that Peromal police were deliberately not arresting the influential accused of the murder case after allegedly receiving huge bribe. He alleged that accused and their henchmen had issued threats of dire consequences to the complainant and his other family members. He demanded the provincial police officer PPO, RPO Hyderabad , DIG Mirpurkhas and DPO Sanghar to take immediate notice into this matter, ensure immediate nabbing of the escaped nominated accused and provide justice to the bereaved family. 
 
MIRPURKHAS Nov 21. President CNG owners association Mirpurkhas chapter Aftab Hussain Qureshi, General secretary Junaid Khan and vice president Kashif Ali have strongly condemned the sui southern gas company SSGC for supplying low pressure of sui gas to CNG stations of the district Mirpurkhas for last 15 days causing difficulties to the vehicle owners and heavy loss to owners of the CNG stations. In a joint press conference held here on Sunday at local press club, they deplored that supply of sui gas pressure to CNG stations of Mirpurkhas was very low from 11 AM morning that was remained continue till 9 PM daily as result heavy rush of vehicles was seen for last 15 days at the CNG stations . They accused that under the agreement with CNG stations , SSGC was bound to provide 8 PSI load to CNG stations but it was supplying deliberately 1 PSI as result a cylinder having capacity of sui gas of 8 Kilogramme was filled in 15 minutes while during regular supply it was filled within some minutes as result dozens of vehicles were parked at the CNG centers for waiting of their number to fill their cylinder. They deplored that they were suffering huge losses as their daily sale has been reduced half and if the same supply of low pressure remained continue for further days they would be compelled to sack mostly employees and such unemployment will be increased. They expressed that Sindh province was supplied 74 percent of suigas for the country but CNG centers of Sindh cities were being deprived of their share of suigas. They said that CNG Sui gas was cheap than petrol and diesel as result mostly people are using CNG gas for their vehicle. They told that sui gas was being supplied to Mirpurkhas from Palli Jani near Nasarpur via Tandoallahyar and its about 25 years old gas pipe line had been damaged at different places and consumption of sui gas has been increased on this pipe line as result about 4 years back SSGC had planed to lay new parallel sui gas line of 18 inches from Tandoallahyar to Mirpurkhas and its summary was prepared and approved by concerned higher authorities but funds could not yet been released by the concerned higher authorities. They accused that officials of SSGC were deliberately reduced the gas supply from Palli Jani near Nasarpur to damage the CNG station particularly of district Mirpurkhas. They told that we had complained to zonal manager of SSGC Mirpurkhas in this regard and in written complaint was submitted but they added that zonal manager was not able to resolve their problems however he assured that he will approach to higher authorities of SSGC to convey their complaint and for resolving their problems. They demanded the president Asif Ali Zardari, prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, and higher officers of SSGC to take immediately notice into this matter , resolve this on priority basis and end the difficulties of owners of vehicles and CNG stations of Mirpurkhas by supply regular sui gas with proper pressure.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 20. Sindh chief minister has taken strict notice of missing the 4 wheat grader machines out of 10 wheat grader machines of agriculture department Mirpurkhas following publishing the news in a daily newspaper and sought the comments from EDO agriculture Mirpurkhas Wali Mohammad Bughio. Report said that Sindh government had been provided the costly 10 wheat seed grader machines to agriculture department Mirpurkhas about 5 years back but during last some years EDOs of agriculture department Mirpurkhas had been given them to influential political personalities. However 4 of the wheat grader machines were still missing from the official record of the agriculture department Mirpurkhas. The remaining 6 machines were being used by influential landlords at their land for preparing the seed of wheat however their official fee was not yet deposited to the department. Wheat seed grader machine was used for preparing the wheat seed as it was prepared same size of seed without any dust that was called certified wheat seed and after using that seed more production of wheat was gained to growers. Its official fee was RS 5 per 40 kilogrammes but despite using it no landlord was ready to deposit the official fee. Following taking the notice by Sindh chief minister, officers of agriculture department Mirpurkhas were busy to trace the missing 4 wheat grader machines, while those influential landlords using the 6 remaining grader machines were approached by officials for paying their official fee. 

MIRPURKHAS Nov 20. Scores of Bheel community people including women belong to village Gulzar Qureshi, taluka Kot Ghulam Mohammad have held demonstration on Saturday outside the Kot Ghulam Mohammad press club to protest against the attempt to kidnap their two women by people of Machi community. Protesters led by Harchand Bheel and Hemo Bheel carried banners and placards raised slogans against the KGM police and demanding the authorities to ensure registration of their case against the involved Machi community people. On this occasion talking to newsmen Harchand, Hemo, Jummo and Ms Mariat, all by caste Bheel accused that Ghani Machi, Aziz Machi, Sattar Machi , Pervez and Malik Machi attacked on their houses in village Gulzar Qureshi and tried to abduct Ms Seeta and Ms Soomri while they offered resistance as result cloths of the women were broken and sustained minor injuries. They deplored that when they asked the KGM police for registration of their complaint but police refused them to take their complaint. They said that few weeks ago, on the water share of agriculture land Machi community people had injured the Bheel community people even KGM police instead to register the case against Machi community people, they lodged the case of Machi community people and implicated the injured Bheel community people in false case. They accused that KGM police were openly supporting illegally to Machi community after receiving alleged bribe. They demanded the Sindh chief minister, provincial police officer , RPO Hyderabad and DIG Mirpurkhas to take immediate notice and ensure registration of their case and provide justice them.
 
MIRPURKHAS Nov 20. Villagers near Hingorno town have made hostage the 4 police officials of taluka police station Mirpurkhas after the raid of investigation taluka police at the village to recover the abducted girl while six persons including three police officials and three women sustained injuries on Friday late night. Report said that on August 8, 2010, Bhaoji of Baghri Hindu community had lodged the case under section 365-B with taluka police station accusing that he along with his daughter Ms Rukhsana, 25, was coming to Mirpurkhas from Digri that in the way accused Khuda Bux Pahore, his father Saleh Pahore and two unknown forcibly abducted his daughter Ms Rukhsana. On the secret information about presence of abducted Ms Rukhsana , Incharge investigation taluka police Kamal Nohri, along with police officials carried out raid at the village near Hingorno but villagers including women offered resistance during this clash was occurred between police and villagers as result 6 persons sustained injuries including police officer Kamal Nohri, constables  Manzoor and Kehar Khan and three women Ms Jannat, Ms Makhan and Ms Shehnaz. However police succeded to recover the abducted Ms Rukhsana from the possession of the villagers, but during this dozens of villagers made hostage to 4 police officials including Aslam Panhwer, Khuda Dino Panhwer, Akhtar and Ashique. After receiving information, heavy contingents of police headed by SPO Sindhri and SPO Satellite town carried out raid at the above village near Hingorno and made negotiations with villagers after which villagers released the above 4 hostage police officials. Sources said that during negotiation, police officers had agreed with notables of villagers that no further police action against the villagers will be taken by police after which detained police officials were released. Investigation taluka police have produced the recovered Ms Rukhsana in the court of special judicial magistrate Mirpurkhas on Saturday here. The court ordered to police to produce the recovered Ms Rukhsana on Monday in the court and allowed the mother of victim to live with her. Pahore community people told the newsmen that Ms Rukhsana had embraced Islam and had married with Khuda Bux Pahore with her willingness.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 20. A rally was taken out by Children right committee district Mirpurkhas chapter with collaboration of Children parliament Pakistan here on Saturday from government girls’ higher secondary school Benazeer Bhutto to mark the international child rights day that was participated by girls and boys students and teachers. Led by district coordinator of CRC Saleh Otho , carried banners and placards marched through main road and reached at railway station chowk where speaking at the participators Mohammad Saleh Otho accused that child right violation had become common in the society but concerned authorities were not taken action against the violators. He alleged that government was not implementing on the charter of united nation about the rights of children and resolution of Sindh assembly passed for protection of rights of children. He urged the concerned authorities to take notice and ensure legal action against the child rights violators. 

MIRPURKHAS Nov 20. Traders association Kot Ghulam Mohammad, civil society, different political parties and citizens have held demonstration at Kot Ghulam Mohammad town on Saturday in front of KGM police station to protest against the growing crime in taluka Kot Ghulam Mohammad. Protesters led by Haji Sulaiman Kaim Khani, president trader association and Engineer Shoukat Hayat, carried banners and placards chanted slogans against the KGM police. Talking to newsmen on this occasion, Haji Sulaiman Kaim Khani, Engineer Shoukat Hayat, Ghulam Rasool Junejo, Sami Sonaro, JSQM local leader Nadeem Sagar and others accused that thieves, robberies, dacoities and kidnapping for ransom have become common in taluka Kot Ghulam Mohammad while alleged that police were in connection with criminals as still police remained fail to nab any accused of the criminal incident. They lamented that citizens were feeling themselves insecure as daily crime was rising in taluka but despite complaints to KGM police no action was yet taken against the involved criminals. They threatened of observing complete shutter down strike and staging protest demonstration in KGM town on occasion of expected visit of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani to inaugurate the Sui gas project within a week. They demanded the president and prime minister, Chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chohadhry, Sindh chief minister, home minister, provincial police officer, RPO Hyderabad and DIG Mirpurkhas to take immediate notice in this regard, ensure arresting of the involved culprits and provide protection to the lives and properties of the citizens.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 19. People have celebrated Eid ul Azha with religious farver here also like other parts of the country. After performing prayer of Eid ul Azha amidst strict security arrangements, people did sacrifices of different animals including cows, oxes, goats, camel, sheep etc. Rush of childrens including women was seen in the different parks of the city. While various organizations have collected the skins of sacrificial animals in peaceful atmosphere. No incident of dispute over collection of the skins of animals was occurred in the city. TMA Mirpurkhas had made special arrangements of cleanliness in the city on occasion of Eid ul Azha as filthy were removed from the streets and roads of the city through tractors trolleys of TMA and its officials remained busy to keep clean the city uptill now. Administrator TMA Mirpurkhas Abdul Wahab Abbasi has supervised the cleanliness campaign of the city. 

MIRPURKHAS Nov 19.  Sindh government claim to decline the rate of sugar and its sale at least RS 71 per kilogramme has been failed as Citizens have been forced to buy the sugar in retail at RS 85 to 90 per kilogramme on occasion of Eid ul Azha. Report said that Sindh government before Eid ul Azha had been announced to decrease the rate of sugar in the local market by special arrangements to supply the subsidized sugar to all the districts of the Sindh province for sale at RS 71 per kilogramme. Report said that Sindh agriculture department was given task to supply the subsidized sugar to all the districts of the Sindh under their fixed quota of sugar but district Mirpurkhas was unfortunately not supplied the subsidized sugar before Eid ul Zaha. A local whole seller Mohammad Imran told this correspondent that he along with some other whole sellers have waited the subsidized sugar and contacted with concerned officers of agriculture department for receiving the quota of sugar but before Eid ul Azha no subsidized quota of sugar was received here as result they were unable to sale the sugar at announced RS 71 per kilogramme. He said that gradually the rate of sugar will be decreased as crushing of the cane had been started in various sugar mills and new sugar commodity will come in the local market to decline the rate of sugar. Mohammad Furqan and Saad, resident of Lalchandabad told this scribe that they were suffering additional burden for purchasing sugar at high rate RS 85 per kilogramme as the Sindh government had announced the rate of RS 71 per kilogramme of sugar. They deplored that government announcement was failed and citizens even those residing in rural areas were compelled to buy the sugar at RS 85 to 90 per kilogramme. When contacted acting DCO Mirpurkhas Syed Zakir Shah told that he had held the meeting of whole sellers and sugar dealers and had directed them to install the fair price shops in the city for sale of sugar on government announced rate RS 71 per kilogramme but unfortunately the consignment of sugar quota  70 matric tons of the district could not be reached here before Eid ul Azha. He said that when he contacted with secretary agriculture in this regard who informed him that owing to shortage of transports at Karachi , sugar consignments of about 5 districts of Sindh including Mirpurkhas could not be loaded. He said that secretary further told that M/s Faizan brothers had been awarded contract of transportation of the subsidized quota by government to each district of the province but there was some problems of shortage of transports as result soon after Eid ul Azha subsidized quota of rested districts could be dispatched from Karachi , he added. Syed Zakir Shah further said that under his directives the fair price shops had been setup at different places in the city but they could not be functional without subsidized sugar. He said that in this regard he had also been furnished a letter to secretary agriculture for early sending the sugar quota of the district Mirpurkhas. 

MIRPURKHAS Nov 19. Vice president Mirpurkhas chapter of Sindh abadgar board SAB Haji Abdul Ghafoor Maher advocate has deplored that wheat sowing was adversely affecting with shortage of irrigation water in tail end districts of Nara canal command area as result mostly wheat growers were yet failed to sow their wheat crop due to non availability of water in tail of their distributaries. In a press statement issued here on Friday, he accused that required quantity of water was not being taken by the authorities of Nara canal as result tail end growers were facing acute shortage of water as Engineers of Mithrao and Thar divisions compelled to implement on rotation programme under it over 50 distributaries and minors were lying dry in command area of Nara canal. He accused of the irrigation officials of forcing the growers for receiving bribe by short supply of water in distributaries and minors as result tail end abadgars were yet deprived of sowing wheat and sugar cane crop. He said that there was required water supply in Nara head at least 16000 cusec water discharge while 13000 cusec discharge was being supply in Nara head that was theft in its travel from Sukkur to Mirpurkhas. He accused that over 400 illegal pumping machines were stealing the water installed at both banks of the Nara in district Khairpur and then till reaching to district Sanghar big landlords were involved allegedly in water stealing by tempering their water courses. He said that when the water was arrived in district Umerkot and Mirpurkhas its quantity was reduced and authorities were compelled to implement on rotation programme to run the system while acute shortage of water hit the sowing of wheat and sugar cane crop. He said that in past growers had held protest demonstration and protest processions in this regard here but higher authorities were allegedly seemed to reluctant taking any legal action against the big landlords involved in water theft. He expressed that districts Mirpurkhas and Umerkot have produced more than sugar cane, wheat, cotton, chili, tomatoes, sun flower, onion and others crops but growers were always disappointed of acute shortage of water, existing of rotation programme and deliberately short supply of water by irrigation officials for compelling the growers to pay them bribe for water. He said that last year bomber crop of wheat was produced in district Mirpurkhas but unfortunately concerned authorities did not yet announce the target of sowing of wheat in the district Mirpurkhas. He called upon the Sindh chief minister, Governor Sindh, secretary irrigation, minister for irrigation , director Nara canal and other officers to take immediate notice of shortage of water, implementation of rotation programme and ensure proper supply of water till tail end abadgar, removal of illegal installed pumping machines, end of rotation programme and legal action against the water thieves without any discrimination. 
 
MIRPURKHAS Nov 19. Leader of Sindh Tarraqi Passand party STPP Mohammad Rafique Panhwer was died of heart failure on Thursday at Hyderabad and his body was brought at his residence at Mirpurkhas. He was aged about 53 years old. His Namaz e Janaza was offered at his ancestral village at Old Mirpur that was attended by hundreds of people including Dr Qadir Magsi, leader of STPP, workers and office bearers, office bearers of different politicial parties, villagers, relatives and citizens. He was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard on Thursday night near Old Mirpur. 

MIRPURKHAS Nov 19. Chairman Sindh Tarraqi Passand Party STPP Dr Qadir Magsi has accused that Pervez Musharraf was the killer of Akbar Bugti, Lal Msjid victims and Sindhis and during his tenure people committed suicide and sold of their children and how it possible that he will returned to Pakistan for taking part in politics. He was giving answers of questions of the local journalists here on Friday after performing condolence with Aijaz Panher , little brother of Mohammad Rafique Panhwer, leader of STPP who had been died of heart failure a day back . He further said that poverty has been prevailed in the country even people were selling their blood for getting food for their families while in past people were compelled to sale their children. He further said that no any person was safe due to lawlessness in the province as Sindh government had been failed to provide protection to lives and properties to the masses. He said that after death of G.M.Syed and Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, a vacuum was created in politics of Sindh but now Nation parast parties of Sindh have been united in the leadership of leaders Rasool Bux Palejo, Shah Mohammad Shah, Jalal Mehmood Shah and Dr Qadir Magsi  and they have filled that vacuum and are jointly struggling for rights of masses. He said that when Muslim league factions were united at a platform then now all the Nation parast parties of Sindh have been united and jointly made alliance for rights of the Sindhi people. He said that after assassination of late Mohtarma Benazeer Bhutto, Sindhi people have been broken the magic of PPP. He accused that misappropriation had been made in funds provided for help of flood affected Sindhi people but still flood affected people were deprived of government help even they were compelled to sale their blood and children for getting food. He said that government had been failed to control the prices of general commodities as result masses were paying additional burden of excess prices.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 9. Sindh home minister Dr Zulfikar Mirza has said that he was not completely satisfied with the law and order situation of the Sindh province but present condition was 100 percent better then law and order situation of previous government regime. He further said that there was no target killing in the province and such kind of incidents have been occurring in the province in past also but now it has become a fashion to say target killing to each incident of murder. HE said that target killing had been stopped in Karachi and other parts of the Sindh province, perhaps terrorists have felt of humanity. He was talking to newsmen here on Tuesday after offering condolence of death of local PPP leader Jahangeer Mughal to his father Dodo Khan Mughal on occasion of soyam of the deceased leader. In replying some questions, Mirza further said that crimes including murder have been occurring in the society and it had also become the part of the society but today any murder of crime was being asked as target killing incident which is wrong. He further said that we wanted to make amendment in police rules for betterness of the masses where we felt any wrong concerned investigation department officers were also replaced who performed inefficiency in the investigation of the cases. To a question, he said that habits of the people of Mirpurkhas have been bad by good performance of the local police and said that he was searching the alternate of DPO Hyderabad Muneer Ahmed Shaikh after which he will again be provided to district Mirpurkhas. In reply a question regarding no progress in murder case of PPP local leader Ali Akbar Panhwer, he said that investigation was continued of the murder case and better result of the investigation will be appeared soon.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 9. Conciliate general of Germany Dr Krischan Brate has said that Pak Germany relations are the surety of progress and prosperity of this region and stressed need of more steps of both countries in relations of economic, trade and education department . He was speaking at the ceremony to mark Allama Iqbal day held here on Tuesday at Nazeer Hussain institute of emerging sciences Mirpurkhas. According to a press release issued here on Tuesday, he said that Pakistani youths should go to abroad particularly in Germany for getting modern education. He said that young generation should get benefit of modern technology, modern education and sciences to compete the challenges of future. Managing director of the institute Rais Ahmed Khan, executive director Ghazanfar Ali Khan, Ms Farhat Anees and Ms Musarrat Almas also spoke the occasion. Later chief guest conciliate general has also inaugurated the Elsa Qazi Hall in the institute. On this occasion chief guest was presented gifts of Ajrak and students of the Little folks higher secondary school also presented national songs and Tablos. 

MIRPURKHAS Nov 9. A delegation of All Anjuman e Tajiran Mirpurkhas comprising Haji Akhlaque, Aftab Qureshi, Haneef Memon, Amin Memon, Shakir and others have met with DIG Mirpurkhas Rasool Bux Sand to apprise him about the deteriorated law and order situation of the city here on Monday. Report said that delegation led by Haji Akhlaque and Aftab Qureshi met with the DIG Mirpurkhas and apprised him about the grievances of the traders and citizens regarding disturb  law and order situation of the city as it accused that local police had been failed to arrest the culprits of robberies and dacoities and recovery of booty while daily robberies were being committed in day light with the traders and innocent citizens. It further said that all the traders were feeling themselves unsafe in present deteriorated law and order situation. Delegation alleged that DPO Mirpurkhas did nothing for taking action against the culprits and recovery of looted booty. It further said that deteriorated law and order had damaged the businesses of the traders and they had been compelled to launch protest campaign against the police failure to nab the culprits and recovery of looted booty. DIG Mirpurkhas Rasool Bux Sand after hearing the problems of the traders have directed the DPO and SP investigation Mirpurkhas, all SPOs and SHOs to ensure arresting the nominated and escaped accused by taking drastic measures and recover the looted booty and punish the exemplary to involved criminals. DIG assured the delegation that he will personally take interest to resolve the grievances of the traders and asked the traders to stop their agitation as their problems would soon be solved.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 8. Hundreds of traders, civil society people, and citizens under the banner of All Anjuman e Tajiran Mirpurkhas have held demonstration here on Monday at Market chowk to protest against the growing crime including dacoities and theft and deteriorated law and order situation in the city. Protesters led by Haji Akhlaque Ahmed, Amin Memon and Aftab Qureshi, carried banners and placards raised slogans against the police and district administration and blocked the main M.A.Jinnah road as result traffic was suspended for two and half hour. Heavy contingents of police were present on this occasion there. Speaking at the protesters Haji Akhlaque, Aftab Qureshi and Amin Memon have accused that dacoities and robberies have become common in the city and during last few weeks robberies and dacoities had been committed by unidentified armed persons in grain Market, Sarafa Bazaar, Drugs agencies, mobile shops etc, while various traders were looted at public places in bright light, but deplored that DCO Mirpurkhas Zulfikar Maher was paying his silence role instead to nab the involved culprits. They strongly condemned the police for its completely failure to provide protections to lives and properties of the citizens  even dacoits had looted Ali Jan Bhatti, chief editor of a local weekly Sindhi newspaper in his office in front of taxi stand, they alleged.  They accused that police instead to arrest the culprits roaming openly in the city, disturbing and irrespecting the peaceful citizens on the name of vehicle checking in the city. They demanded the Sindh chief minister, Governor Sindh and other authorities to replace immediately the inefficient DPO Mirpurkhas and appoint the sincere and honest police officer to curb and control the growing crime in the city. Later, DIG Mirpurkhas Rasool Bux Sand has contacted the leaders of the protesters on cell phone and accepting their genuine demands invited them in his office on Tuesday after which they dispersed peacefully.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 8. Deputy General Secretary of PPP district Mirpurkhas Jahangeer Mughal, who had died of liver and heart failure on Monday evening was laid to rest among thousands of mourners in the local graveyard near Tandoadam road on Monday night. Report said that Jahangeer Mughal had been performed his services in past as president Sindh Peoples students federation district Mirpurkhas, was also facing different diseases including Hepatitis C and he was on bed rest for last few weeks. Thousands of people including Federal minister for culture Pir Aftab Hussain Shah Jilani, office bearers of PPP district Mirpurkhas, workers, office bearers and leaders of different local political parties have attended his funeral. 

MIRPURKHAS Nov 8. Various employees of Hesco Mirpurkhas division residing in Wapda colony Mirpurkhas have accused of using substandard materials in construction and repairs works of quarters of Wapda colony Mirpurkhas. In a joint statement issued with their signatures employees Amanullah Khan, Qari Iqbal, Basheerdin, Fareed and others accused that for last 5 months works of repairs of the quarters of the Wapda colony Mirpurkhas was continued by using substandard and dismental materials . They point out that pipe for drainage were being laid 2 feet high of gutters as result sewerage water was entering into the quarters instead of discharging in the gutter. They lamented that there were to be constructed the new roofs of quarters in the project but contractor was repairing the roofs with substandard materials. Instead of concealed fitting of electricity, open fitting of electricity was being made with substandard materials. Cement ratio was being used less than principal of construction and no work of welding and gates was being made while behave of the contractor towards employees residing in the Wapda colony was not proper. They called upon the higher authorities of Wapda to take immediate notice into this matter , order an impartial high level inquiry, work be made proper according to standard and project and save the Wapda money from being wasted. 

MIRPURKHAS Nov 8. Cotton crop rate has been increased as cotton ginners of the district Mirpurkhas were offering to growers RS 4400 per 40 kilograms while arrival of the cotton crop in the total 16 cotton ginning factories of the district was sofar less than last year. Report said that there were total 16 cotton ginning factories in the district including Sattari, Amual, Pehlomal, Sultanabad, K.K, Memon, Hinglaj, Mehran, SLD, Lal, Parsanna, Aeshoreabad, Royal, Noor Shah, Parsanna Gold and Zamindar. According to agriculture department Mirpurkhas cotton was sowed this year at 34000 hectors than last year 40000 hectors in the district due to acute shortage of water at the time of its sowing. However, according to district agriculture extension department Mirpurkhas, total arrival of the cotton crop this year in Nov month 3188779 Maunds, total cotton bales pressed sofar 270950 while in month Nov last year cotton crop was arrived at the cotton factories 3376372 Maunds and cotton bales were pressed 269298. The last year cotton rate was offered to growers by mill RS 1850 per maund. It may be recalled that despite less sowing of cotton crop in the district its rate was being offered to growers reasonable price because of shortage of cotton crop as cotton was sowed less areas owing to acute shortage of water and many its quantity was damaged also during heavy rainfall in the district. 

MIRPURKHAS Nov 8. One more sugar mill has been started its crushing on Monday morning in the district. Report said that some days back, Mirpurkhas and Al Abbas sugar mills had been launched their crushing season while another Tharparkar sugar mill has also been started the crushing season . Sources said that Digri sugar mill will start its crushing after Eid ul Azha. When contacted administrative officer of Tharparkar sugar mill, Ch Ashraf Arain told this correspondent that in morning crushing was started by his mill in morning and we are crushing the cane slowly as sugar cane crop was not reaching in the mill in required quantity. He added that his mill was offering the rate RS 150 per 40 kilogramme to the growers. He said that indents to landlords and growers had already been issued for harvesting of the crop in speed and supplying to mill but less quantity of cane was reaching sofar as result we are unable to keep crushing of cane continue .

MIRPURKHAS Nov 7. Strike was observed in Sarafa bazaar Mirpurkhas after a robbery committed in the jeweler shop here on Sunday morning. Report said that as the sarafa bazaar was opened in morning three armed robbers entered into the Zafar Jeweler shop and held hostage the owner of the shop and looted cash, gold ornaments of 5 Tola, silver ornaments and a mobile cell on gun point and fled away from the spot. In protest all the shops in Sarafa bazaar Mirpurkhas were closed. President of Sarafa association Mirpurkhas Mohammad Haneef Memon talking to newsmen said that all the jewelers were felt unprotected as their shops even houses were not saved from robbers. He accused that local police were failed to provide protections to the lives and properties to the masses. He said that administration had been failed to control the growing crime in the city as well as in the district. He demanded the higher authorities to take notice of police failure and provide protection to the lives and properties of the people by taking drastic measures to replace the local police officers and appoint honest and sincere police officers to curb the crime.
 
MIRPURKHAS Nov 7. Deputy General Secretary of PPP district Mirpurkhas Jahangeer Mughal, 42, was died of heart and liver failure here on Sunday. Report said that Jahangeer Mughal was fighting different diseases of liver and heart for last a year. He was remained at the post of district president SPSF Mirpurkhas in past. PPP sources said that he was unmarried. In emergency he was brought at civil hospital Mirpurkhas where doctors pronounced him dead. As the news of his death was spread hundreds of office bearers of PPP Mirpurkhas and workers gathered at his residence at Noor Shah Colony. He will be laid to rest after Eisha prayer in the local graveyard. MNA Mir Munawar Ali Talpure, federal minister for culture Pir Aftab Hussain Shah Jilani, Niaz Pathan, city president SPSF, Maqbool Khatyan, Aijaz Soomro and city President PPP Mirpurkhas Malik Yaseen have expressed their deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of local PPP leader Jahangeer Mughal and prayed with Allah for his departed soul. 


MIRPURKHAS Nov 7. Convener of Sindh progressive Nationalist Alliance Ayaz Lateef Palijo has accused that country’s resources were being looted on the name of Watan cards and joke is being made on the name of help of the poor flood affected people. He was speaking at the protest rally of SPNA at Market chowk here on Sunday that was attended by hundreds of people including women. He expressed that Sindhi people had given their votes four times in the favor of PPP to come it in government but still those poor Sindhi people were deprived of basic facilities and facing poverty. He further said that Sindh province have more than minerals and other resources but federation was enjoying with those resources while Sindhi people were today also compelled to sale their innocent children and deprived of their proper rights . He said that SPNA will take massive part in next local body election and hoped that Sindhi people would succeed it majority for solutions of their problems. He demanded the government to launch deweaponize campaign at Karachi without any discrimination. He said that flood affected people of Sindh were deprived of help while in Punjab and Pakhtoonkhawa provinces, flood affected people were being provided funds, rations and rehabilitation.Dr Qadir Magsi said that Sindhi people had been tested to give their votes to MQM, all factions of Muslim League, PPP, Wadera, Mir and Pir who did not yet given nothing to country except price hike, terrorism, corruption and looting the resources etc. He said that SPNA has come in the ground to awake the Sindhi people and if the Sindhi people were awoke then nobody could looted the funds including Baitul Mall funds . He said that we wanted to see the local poor personality at the post of Sindh chief minister and Governor Sindh. He said that a side all the cities of Sindh had been turned into ruins while on the other hand government was establishing new city in the province. He said that legislatures in Sindh assembly were discussed on the skin of Crocodile and Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan while problems of the masses were not discussed to resolve them on priority basis. He asked the Sindhi people to understand their status and importance and struggle for their rights instead to run for their help and government aid. He said that now any slogan could not attract the Sindh people as they knew their rights and ready to launch struggle for their rights.Shah Mohammad Shah accused that the land of influential personalities and Waderas were saved from flood by giving deliberately cut to the dykes or banks as result lakhs of people and their lands were inundated under the flood water and faced hardships of displacing their areas and taking shelter in open sky and relief camps . He accused that Sindh government had failed to control the growing crime and lawlessness in the province while flood affected people were deprived of any kind of help and aid.Syed Jalal Mehmood Shah said that those had asked the killer league in past were increasing their contacts with them. He requested the people to vote to contesters of SPNA in next local body election for getting their rights. 

 
MIRPURKHAS Nov 7. Sugar prices shot up in the city as sugar is being sold on retail at RS 106 per kilogramme while few days back its retail rate was RS 85 and 86 per kilogramme. Report said that suddenly whole sale rate of sugar was increased till RS 5100 per 50 kilogram bag and in retail sugar was being sold at RS 106 per kilogramme. Vice president of Sindh abadgar board SAB district Mirpurkhas chapter Haji Abdul Ghafoor Maher has strongly criticized the government policies as sugar rate has been reached till 106 per kilogram in retail here. In a press statement issued here on Sunday, he accused that government had been failed to control the growing rate of sugar and poor masses were compelled to buy the sugar at very high rate. He demanded the federal government to take immediate notice into this matter, ensure decrease the sugar rate till RS 40 per kilogramme that was fixed by apex court in past. 

MIRPURKHAS Nov 7. Two factions of traders have united and decided in the meeting to launch the protest campaign against the district administration for its failure to control the growing crime and arrest of the involved culprits of dacoities and robberies. This decision was taken in the meeting of both factions of the trader association led by Haji Akhlaque and Amin Memon held here on Sunday. Talking to newsmen, general secretary of All Anjuman e Tajiran Mirpurkhas Aftab Qureshi told that district administration was creating differences between both factions of the traders of Mirpurkhas and in the favor of masses and traders leaders of both factions decided to be united to launch the protest campaign against the district administration sothat it might not be used to any faction of the trader for its benefit . He said that meeting decided to launch the protest campaign and first of all in first phase protest demonstration will be held at Market chowk on Monday morning that will remained continue till acceptance of their two main demands including arresting of the culprits and punish them who had been committed robberies and dacoities in the city and replacing the DPO Mirpurkhas without any delay. He accused that local police were failed yet to control the growing crime in the city as result no any citizen was saved from criminals. He said that leaders of civil society and office bearers of different NGOs would also take part in the protest campaign.

MIRPURKHAS Nov 6. Huge quantity of fire crackers were recovered in raid of civil judge and judicial magistrate 1 Mirpurkhas from Mirwah road and Market chowk in the city on Saturday night. Report said that Hindu community was busy in celebrating their religious festivalDiwali”while heavy voices were creating of explosions of the fire crackers in the city that as the civil judge and judicial magistrate 1 Mirpurkhas Ahmed Nawaz Dombki came out from Noorani mosque at Mirwah road after performing prayer during this a fire cracker exploded with heavy voice there after which he along with town police carried out raids at the venders and push cart owners selling the fire crackers openly in the city as result sellers run away from the spot to leave their material and push carts and venders. On the directives of judicial magistrate, police taken into custody huge quantity of fire crackers. When contacted SHO town Abid Kaim Khani said that till today Saturday night cases would be lodged against those involved in selling the fire crackers.
 
MIRPURKHAS Nov 6. On the call of Sindh Dost Rabita council demonstration was held by Sindh dost Rabita council Mirpurkhas to protest against the handing over the recovery of sales taxes on services to federal government here on Saturday. Protesters led by Ali Hassan Dal, Jameel Lashari and Gull Mohammad Kalhoro, carried banners and placards raised slogans against the Sindh government. Leaders accused that handing over the recovery of sales tax to federation on services was the great injustice with Sindh province. They termed the dacoity committed on Sindh rights for handing over the sales tax recovery to federal government. They alleged that Sindh government was inefficient and accountability of Sindh rights should be made with Sindh government. They criticized the government policy to increase the price of patrol and demanded the higher authorities to end the price hike, corruption and lawlessness from the country. 

MIRPURKHAS Nov 6. Two sugar mills out of five sugar mills of the district Mirpurkhas have been launched their crushing season but facing no cane condition here on Saturday. Report said that there are 5 sugar mills in the district including Mirpurkhas, Digri, Al-Abbas, Tharparkar and Najma sugar mills. However Mirpurkhas, Digri, Al Abbas and Tharparkar sugar mills had been fired their boilers in past however Mirpurkhas and Al Abbas sugar mills had started their crushing of cane but facing no cane condition as mills crushed the cane a day and then for two days their function of crushing was stopped waiting the availability of required quantity of sugar cane crop. When contacted Haider Rustamani, general manager for Admin and human resources said that no cane condition was appeared as the sugar mills started their crushing season. He said that indents had already been issued to the growers and landlords but less transportation of cane in the mill was being made owing to shortage of labours in the field as mostly labours are belong to Hundi community and whole the community including Hindu peasants were busy to celebrate their religious festival Diwali. However he said that we are making efforts to keep continue crushing of cane without any stoppage by requesting the landlord and growers to supply more than their cane crop . 

MIRPURKHAS Nov 6. Two employees of Mirpurkhas sugar mill were received minor injuries when radiator of a machine was leaked here on Friday night. Report said that employee Bahadur and an unknown daily wages labourer was injured when radiator of a machine was leaked. One of the injured Bahadur was brought at emergency of civil hospital Mirpurkhas for medical assistance. He was later released after providing first aid. However name of other injured was not known till filing of the news. 

MIRPURKHAS Nov 6. Meeting of office bearers of labour unions of sugar mills of the Sindh province was held here on Saturday in which they formed Sindh sugar mills workers federation and unanimously nominated the office bearers of the federation Abdul Hameed Shaikh as Chairman, Dodo Khan Mangrio, Dost Ali Chandio, Ashraf Rajput and Ghulam Qasim Khan as vice chairman, president, general secretary and finance secretary respectively. Meeting adopted different resolutions demanding the government to regularize the all daily wages and contracted employees of the mills , provide at least salary of RS 20000 owing to price hike. Meeting further demanded the government to recover the write off loan money of banks and provide the basic facilities including residence, health and education to the laborers.
 
MIRPURKHAS Nov 6. Sindh chief minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that all possible measures were being made by government to rehabilitate the flood affected people of Sindh and added that Sindh government would protect in any condition the benefits of the Sindh province. He was talking to newsmen here on Saturday in the Valima marriage ceremony of brother of PPP MPA Shamim Aara Panhwer at Mirpurkhas Gymkhana club. Regarding the Thar coal project, chief minister said that work in speed was continued at the Thar coal project and all the formalities have been completed in this regard and added that more than electricity and opportunities of employments would be created of this project. In reply the questions, he said that all the attention of Sindh government at this time was on to rehabilitate over 70 lakhs flood affected people and efforts were continued to provide not only RS 1 lakh to each affected family atonce while seed and fertilizers would also be provided them free of cost. He said that Thar coal project was a big project of 4 Arab dollars and the agreement of government with big Angro Company of Germany had been made in which 40 percent share is of Sindh province. He further said that 40 percent electricity was created from coal in Germany and according to German experts quality of Thar coal was better than coal of Germany . He told that abut 2500 megawatt electricity will be created from this project and 50000 to 100000 local people would get employments of this project. He said that this project is in benefit for Thar, Mirpurkhas even whole country. Federal minister for culture Pir Aftab Hussain Shah Jilani, MNA Mir Munawar Ali Talpure, Provincial ministers Taukeer Fatima Bhutto, Zahid Bhurgari, Syed Ali Nawaz Shah, Sajid Jokhio, PPP MPAs Shamim Aara Panhwer, Mir Haji Hayat Talpure, Mir Mehboob Talpure, Ali Murad Rajar, etc also attended the Valima marriage ceremony. Sindh chief minister, after this, went to residence of PPP activist Ali Akbar Panhwer who was murdered in armed attack and condoled with bereaved family and then went to house of Junaid Buland , organizer of SPSF district Mirpurkhas after which left the city for Karachi

MIRPURKHAS Nov 5. Two young labourers were killed of suffocation while they were cleaning the under ground petrol tank of the local petrol pump situated at Jarwari Shakh chowk here on Friday. Report said that two young untrained labourers Rajo, 25, resident of ring road and Ali Raza, 24, resident of near Jumman Shah shrine, taluka Mirpurkhas alighted into the under ground petrol tank of Admoral petrol pump to clean it but owning to presence of dangrious gas in the tank , they felt suffocation and raised hue and cry on which hundreds of people including local police gathered there to rescue them but first of all they found no necessary rescue equipments at the petrol pump even there was no rope for help of the victims fighting for their lives in the under ground petrol tank. However with the help of police people taken out them in serious condition and rushed to emergency of civil hospital Mirpurkhas where doctors pronounced them dead. Report said that this tragic incident was occurred owing to non availability of rescue equipments at the petrol pump. The bodies of the deceased were later handed over to their heirs after legal formalities. When contacted owner of the petrol pump Anwer Mehtab expressed his grief and sorrow over this sad incident and said that he was going to perform Haj while added that one of the labor has been cleaning the under ground petrol tank in past but unfortunately this incident occurred. When asked regarding non availability of rescue equipments he said that we have only fire work equipments to extinguish the fire at the petrol pump. MIRPURKHAS Nov 5. Engineer Syed Irshad Ali, 30, son of Hakeem Riasat Ali, resident of Ahmadani coloney Mirpurkhas was also one of the passenger died in aeroplan crash at Karachi on Friday. Report said that after confirmation of his death in the crash of aeroplan handreds of people were gathered at his residence here to mourn the condition. Hakeem Riasat Ali, father of the deceased above engineer told the newsmen that his son engineer Syed Irshad Ali was working for last 4 years in ENI ,an Italian oil company as an engineer.He further said that he has 4 sons and Engineer Syed Irshad Ali was on second number of his sons while he added that deceased has left a widow and one and half year old daughter Ms Sakina. He said that on Thursday evening his son had left the Mirpurkhas for Karachi and today on Friday morning he knew through media about his death in the aeroplan crash and then he confirmed the news of his death from his company sources. 

MIRPURKHAS Nov 5. Religious Hindu festival “Diwali” has been started in the lower Sindh particularly in Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Sanghar and Tharparkar districts on Friday as there were more than Hindu community lived. Report said that Hindu community youths and children particularly take part massively to celebrate the festival. From few days back, they had started preparation to celebrate the festival as purchased the fire crackers, sweets and illuminated the temples. Hindu people including women were performing their special prayers in temples and burn the lamps. While in city huge rush of Hindu community people was witnessed as they were purchasing to celebrate the festival. Mostly youths and children were seen buying the fire crackers at the different stalls setup in the city as first time fire crackers were being openly sold in patronizing of the local police. Heavy voices of bursting the fire crackers were heared from different places of the city. Hindu people were seen in big quantity purchasing the sweets from the different sweet shops. Report said that liquor were also prepared specially for this festival as youths were reportedly buying the liquor from the different liquor dens in the city and outskirts of the city. Security arrangements were made strict in the city on this occasion as in the city police personnels were deployed at the main roads, bazaars, main chowks, sensitive areas, and entry and exit ways of the city to keep strict watch on the miscreants.
