MIRPURKHAS Aug 31. Rainfall with thunderstorm hit the Mirpurkhas and other towns and cities of the district here on Sunday night. Report said that rainfall remained continue for an hour as result low lying areas of the city were inundated under the rainy water while rainywater was also standed at the main roads and streets of the city as result citizens faced hardships . Rainfall remained continue intermittently whole night. As the rainfall started power supply was suspended in the city however, power supply was restored after three hours in Hirabad sub division and Satellite town sub division. However in linking and city feeders of hesco city sub division power supply might not be restored till Monday morning as result citizens faced hardships even made Sehri in darkness. Owing to rainfall with thunderstorm, various trees and sign boards were uprooted. Rainfall occurred also at Mirwah Gorchani, Digri, Jhuddo, Naokot, Kot Ghulam Mohammad, Jhilori, ShadiPalli, Old Mirpur, Khaan, Patoyoon, Sindhri, Phuladyyoon etc. Owing to stagnant rainy water at the ways in rural areas as result mostly common villagers could not be reached in the city for their work. Sanitary staffs of the TMA Mirpurkhas were not seen at their duties in morning and citizens have demanded the authorities to ensure draining out the stagnant rainy water from the roads, streets and low lying areas of the city. Rainfall has gone for the benefit of standed cotton, chili, sugar cane and other crops as there was already persisting acute shortage of irrigation water in the Mirpurkhas district that is situated in the tail of the Nara canal.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 31. Naib Ameer Jamaat e Islami Sindh Dr Merajul Huda Siddique has accused that retired brigadares who had get rid from NRO are launching the campaign to save the Musharraf and added that Bridagare Imtiaz is the important personnel of Musharraf Bachao Tehreek and added that JI is not make the hereditary patrimonial politics instead its doors are open for each Muslim person. He said that Jamaat e Islami was formed with some money and total 75 persons were in the party which’s movement has now been spread throughout the world and added that there is no any party or person who raise the voice against the USA but JI is the party that had raised voices against the USA. He alleged that rulers are creating complication for the masses instead to resolve the grievances of the masses. He deplored thatefficiency of rulers has become a symbol of question mark to give permission to Black water organization for work in the country which is the terrorist organization of USA. He said that people of Musharraf Bachao Tehreek would not be safe and face their end despite using different tactics. He said that government should end the intervention of Agencies and trail be made in court against retired brigadare Imtiaz. He said that Pakistan and Afghanistan will be make graveyard for American soon and Islam will be spread throughout world soon. Ameer JI Mirpurkhas Zafar Iqbal Mujahid also spoke.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 30. Mirpurkhas union of journalist MUJ has expressed its grave concern over the issuance of threats of dire consequences to the journalists of Kot Ghulam Mohammad taluka on behalf of local leaders of Awami Tehreek and demanded the provincial minister for information to provide protection to the journalists. Meeting of MUJ was held here on Sunday presided by its president Afaq Ahmed Khan , have strongly condemned the issuance of threats of dire consequences to the senior journalists and office bearers of National press club Kot Ghulam Mohammad Jayram Malhi and Ismail Gorchani on behalf of local leaders of Awami Tehreek. General secretary Ghulam Rasool Mugheri said that local journalists are performing their duties in Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Sanghar and Tharparkar districts in insecure condition while one side false and fabricated cases were being lodged against them by police with connivance of black mailer Bhatta Mafia and on the other handissuance of threats of dire consequences to journalists have become common. He said that a convention of journalists of the above journalists would soon be held very soon to prepare future course of strategy. He demanded the provincial minister for information Shazia Mari and DPO Mirpurkhas to provide protection to the journalists in the district Mirpurkhas otherwise journalists would be compel to stage protest demonstration.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 29. DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon has been suspended the food inspector Mirpurkhas Nazeer Ahmed Soomro in charges of his absence from his duty at Noor Shah flour mill here on Saturday where he was deputed to check the quality of the flour and sending the official fixed quantity of the flour bags to the subsidized stalls . Higher authorities of food department have also been issued the show cause notice to the above Nazeer Ahmed Soomro, food inspector Mirpurkhas. DDO revenue and special magistrate Mirpurkhas Ammara Aamer Khattak has carried out raid at the Noor Shah Flour mill in morning after receiving complaints regarding the supply of sub standard flour by the above mill for distribution among the masses through subsidized flour stalls in Mirpurkhas taluka and during her raid she found absent the food inspector Nazeer Ahmed Soomro from his duty and during the counting of the flour bags found missing of 10 bags from the each stallof the city . Talking to newsmen, she said that Noor Shah colony under the agreement was bound to supply the flour bags 1600 at four flour stalls as 400 flour bags each stall but he found short supply of flour bags to the stalls by the Noor Shah flour mill and paid surprise visit in which found short supply of flour bags were being made to the stalls. She said that she has been submitted her report to the DCO Mirpurkhas for further action. She told that standard wheat is being provided to the Noor Shah Flour mill but substandard flour is being provided for distribution among the masses.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 29. Regional director of regional ombudsman office Mirpurkhas Shafique Ahmed Khan has directed the taluka nazim to clean the city particularly collection point of Agha Khan hospital, Umerkot road near Adam town from filthy heaps. According to a handout issued here on Saturday, he asked that filthy heaps are lying at different places in the city including in front of banks, insurance companies, show rooms and shops and shifted them outside the city without any delay. He deplored that Taluka municipal administration Mirpurkhas is not making acts about this matter as result different diseases are spreading in the city. Shafique Ahmed Khan said that filthy heaps be removed from the city through containers without any delay or threw it at any save place outside the city for burning it. He further directed to make better sanitary system and cleanliness of the city. Besides, he said that if any person has any complaint pertaining to the government department to contact with him personally or by post and courier services and send also fax at the no 0233-9290424. He advised the complainants to submit him their application along with proper postal address, telephone number and photo state copy of National identity card and could contact at number 0233-9290266 for further knowledge. He assured the people that department will take massive acts for redress of their complaints.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 29. District administration has changed its strategy to distribute the subsidized flour bags in the morning to avoid any disturbance of the people including women , here on Saturday, Report said that disturbance was creating due to short supply of flour bags at the subsidized stalls where people were gathered in big quantity to get the flour bags and revenue officials were distributing the bags at 12 PM daily however, thousands of people including women were early reached there to disturb the discipline even incident of manhandling of the police officials and revenue officials were occurring. Various revenue officials had been refused the officers to perform their duties at the flour stalls due to law and order situation and disturbance of the people. District government has changed its strategy and now fixed the time of morning to distribute the flour bags among the masses as less quantity of people were gathered at the stalls in themorning. While administration has further decided to change the places of the flour stalls weekly in the city and for this purpose officials are choosing the safe places including big school buildings where security arrangements might be made easily.
MIRPURKHAS Aug 28. Advisor to Sindh chief minister Sharmeela Farooque has taken serious notice of news published in daily newspaper regarding the shortage of irrigation water in tail of distributaries in Mirpurkhas and Umerkot districts and contacted with concerned executive engineers and director Nara canal to ensure proper supply of irrigation water till tail end abadgars.Sharmeela Farooque said that PPP is making efforts to reduce the problems of the masses on priority basis and added that government is giving attention particularly to resolve the grievances of the agriculture sector as country’s economic depend mostly on agriculture production. She further said that she had been taken strict notice in past about the shortage of irrigation water in district Tandoallahyar and added that due to her action water supply was improved in district Tandoallahyar. She expressed that she will take stern action against the responsible irrigation officials who are creating obstacles in smooth flow of water in the canals and distributaries. She told that she has contacted concerned irrigation authorities and directed them to redress the grievances of the growers of tail end facing shortage of water in Mirpurkhas and Umerkot districts.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 28. Speakers in a seminar on the subject of “modernization and rehabilitation of Chili sector” held here on Friday under consultant P and D department government of Sindh have stressed need of setting up the red chili processing center particularly in Mirpurkhas and Umerkot districts to export more than chili to European countries, USA and Japan to acquire more than national exchequer. They claimed that more than red chili particularly unique variety “Dandi cut Red Chili” or Longi is produced from districts Mirpurkhas and Umerkot and its main big market at Kunri town. They said that Pakistan is on top 5 positions in the world regarding the red chili production, while Pakistan is on 21 numbers in the world to export chili crop. However, despite its best variety of red chili, it is not able to more than export the red chili due to non availability of chili dehydration unit. They said that owing to moisture, Aflotaxin , a fungus is created in the chili as result USA, European union and Japan had been imposed ban on the import of red chili from Pakistan as they understand that red chili with Aflotaxin is serious threats to the lives of their people. They said that investors should invest in establishment of chili dehydration unit and use other methods like plastic sheets to dry the chili. They expressed that due to demand of Red chili growers association , federal government had approved a chili dehydration unit to be established at Kunri town with estimated cost of RS 220 millions, while federal government have allocated RS 100 millions for first phase and for next year RS 120 millions would be provided for this purpose . They demanded the government to establish at least a dehydration unit at Mirpurkhas and Umerkot districts sothat red chili might be export from here. They expressed that there is need to create awareness among the masses regarding the modern technology to producemore than red chili crop and dry it with modern technology to gain more amount to export it. They said that following the establishment of chili dehydration unit at Mirpurkhas and Umerkot district, red chili will be exported to European Union, USA, Japan and other countries. Speakers further said that proper pesticide be used to control the pest attack at the red chili crop after getting information from agriculture experts. They said that after separation of red chili from dandy a whole is created in the crop which is caused of aflotaxin a fungus, so there is need of research to create such seed of red chili by which aflotaxin might not be created in the red chili. They said that middle men are getting more than profit than chili grower and chili seller and there was need of close contact between growers and traders. They said that there is need to improve more the unique Dandi cut red chili here and for this purpose we all should jointly work toimprove it sothat it might be export in bulk quantity to earn more than national exchequer. There was need to publish the broachers on the chili export and it’s more than production for creating more than awareness among the masses. They added that government has been making efforts to bring near the private sector to work jointly on this crop. They said that all the problems might be resolved after formation of chili board. MIRPURKHAS Aug 28. Crackdown was occurred against profiteers and violators of Ramzan ordinance in the city while various persons were arrested and fine upon them here on Friday. Report said that on the information of violation of Ramzan ordinance, DDO revenue and special magistrate Mirpurkhas Ammara Aamer Khattak along with police contingents carried out raids at the bakeries and hotels including M.D.sweet mart, Shimla Bakery, Shandar sweet mart, Akram hotel, a hotel near taxi stand etc and over a dozen persons including servants were taken into custody in charges of committing violation of Ramzan ordinance. Above special magistrate also paid surprise visit of Sabzi Mandi chowk, post office chowk, Satellite town, ring road, Khpro Naka chowk and other areas and fined on the spot on shopkeepers and push cart owners for receiving more than profits.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 27. Scores of tail end growers of Girhorjo distry , fed by Thar canal have held protest demonstration here on Thursday outside local press club to protest against the shortage of water in tail of the Girhorjo distri. Protesters led by Ali Bux Mari, Sammon Khan Samejo, and Lal Mohammad Mari, raised slogans against the irrigation officials of Khipro sub division. They carried banners and placards demanding the authorities to ensure supply of irrigation water till tail end abadgars in Girhorjo distry. Talking to newsmen, they accused that there was no rotation programme in Khipro canal but unfortunately rotation is being implemented in Girhorjo distry. They regretted that XEN Thar canal Saeed Jageerani had been suspended the irrigation official (Darogah) Nawaz Gaho of their distry without any cause as result they were deprived of their share irrigation water. They lamented that due to none reaching of water till their land since a month,cultivated their Khareef crop including cotton had been destroyed. They expressed that they were deprived even drinking water and bringing drinking water from far flung areas. They demanded the minister for irrigation, secretary irrigation and director Nara canal to take immediate notice into this matter, ensure availability of irrigation water till tail end abadgars in their distry and punish the landlords involved in irrigation water theft.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 27. Deputy district officer DDO revenue taluka Mirpurkhas Ammara Aamir Khattak has paid surprise visit of the city to check the prices of the general commodities here on Thursday and reached at utility store Satellite town after receiving the complaints where people complained her of selling the commodities including sugar at high rate. DDO revenue and special magistrate ordered to arrest the incharge of utility store and sent him behind bar at Satellite town police station and closed the utility store. She also inspected the utility store of Bhansinghabad and gets information from people regarding the prices of commodities. She fined RS 1000 at a meat seller at Bhansinghabad for selling meat at high rate. She also fined at the fruit sellers of market chowk and Shahi Bazaar for not keeping the price list and selling fruits at high rate. Special magistrate also directed the shopkeepers and push cart owners to sale fruits and daily essentialcommodities at their fixed official prices and display the price list at their shops and push carts otherwise stern action will be taken against them.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 26. Additional sessions Judge Mirpurkhas ii has recorded the statements of released peasants and ordered to free them here on Wednesday following being produced by SHO Kot Ghulam Mohammad in the court. Report said that Madhio Bheel had submitted an application in the district and sessions court Mirpurkhas in which he complained that his 27 relatives are living in illegal confinements at the agriculture land of landlord Shehzad Kaim Khani at village Jhugian, taluka Kot Ghulam Mohammad while forced labor work was being taken from them in the confinement. He requested the court to issue the order for surprise raid to recover the confined bonded labours. Court ordered to SHO KGM police station to carry out raid for releasing of the bonded labours and produced them in the court. Tufail Mari, SHO KGM conducted the raid on Tuesday at the above agriculture land and recovered 16 peasants including women and children as Gomi, Mean Bai, Gori, Pamro,Partab, Wishno, Parkash, Mansingh, Suresh, Mangal, Radha, Pemraj, Shremti Lali, Mangaldas, Shremti Samina and Shremti Kanwal. Landlord Shehzad Kaim Khani told the newsmen that over RS 2 lakhs were debit on above released peasants and said that they were working with their willing at his agriculture land and denied of keeping them in illegal confinement.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 26. A woman Bai Begum, 65, wife of Abdul Majeed, resident of Shah Lateef town was fell conscious after the several hours wait to get the flour bag from flour stall at Hameed Pura colony here on Wednesday. She was rushed to emergency ward of civil hospital where doctors told that her blood pressure was very low however her condition was restored after some hours. A big rush of thousands of people including women was seen at the flour stalls in the city as people were waited of very short supply of flour bags at the subsidized flour stalls for hours but mostly are returning without flour bags. People demanded the government to increase the quantity of flour bags on daily basis to meet the requirements of the poor people. They deplored that they were being insulted in such manner as despite waiting the hours they were deprived of their flour bags while they added that they were coming daily at the flour stalls.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 26. People are facing bravely the load shedding for 8 to 10 hours even in Ramzan month as result water supply is disrupted from water supply schemes to the Mirpurkhas and other cities and towns of the district. Frequent power outages have caused of unrest and resentment among the masses as even hesco officials are suspending the power supply even at the time of Iftar, Sehri and Taravi prayer. Water supply is adversely affecting as at the time of power off, heavy machinery of water supply scheme remained close as result there are complaints of shortage of water in some parts of the city. Indoor patients of government hospitals including civil hospital Mirpurkhas are also disturbed owing to frequent power failure. Small industries including chaki, Ice factories and oil spellers are also closed during outages. Vice president Sindh abadgar board SAB Mirpurkhas chapter , talking to newsmen accused that there was approved officially loadshedding time for 6 hours daily in the city Mirpurkhas and for 8 hours in rural areas of the district Mirpurkhas but unfortunately 8 to 10 hours daily power outages were being made by the hesco officials to cover their line losses . He demanded the chairman Wapda and hesco chief to take immediate notice, reduce the load shedding time and fixed the appropriate time for load shedding sothat people could not be disturbed.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 25. On the call of Pakistan Wapda Hydro electric central labor union Mirpurkhas division, pen and tool down strike was observed here on Tuesday in the hesco offices to protest against the attack on hesco complaint center in police presence, manhandling the staff and burning the office furniture and record by the miscreants. Employees, workers of the union and office bearers have held protest demonstration and staged sit in, in front of XEN hesco Mirpurkhas office. On this occasion, addressing at the protesters, leaders demanded the authorities to provide protection to the hesco employees. They deplored that police and hesco administration had completely been failed to provide protection to the employees as lawlessness have become common and in such condition they said that employees could not pay their duties and facing hardships as suffering attacks and insulting. They said that load shedding is being made under the decided policy ofpresent rulers and it has been making in past also. They said that we are along with the masses to face the hardships due to load shedding however , they said that it is unbearable for the employees the attacks of some miscreants at the complaint centers mostly , ransacking and burning the furniture and record and manhandling of the employees. They regretted that despite lodging the various complaints of this kind but no measure was yet taken by the police. They said that their complaint center will remained close till assurance of police, district government and hesco administration to provide complete protection to the employees of hesco Mirpurkhas division. They urged the administration to take immediate notice of FIRs had been lodged by hesco employees against the miscreants in past and provide safety to the employees. Those spoke the protest demonstration including Akbar Khan Leghari, divisional chairman, Secretary Mohammad Yousuf Soomro and vicechairman Malik Abdul Kareem.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 25. Insufficient quantity of flour bags are being distributed among the people including women despite disturbance at the flour stalls of the city while mostly people are returning with empty hands due to very less supply of flour bags that irked the masses. Exchanging hot words are common between revenue staff and masses at the stalls . While police security arrangements are also insufficient at the flour stalls. Thousands of people including women were gathered at the stalls before arrival of the flour bags and revenue staff. Mostly people at Pak colony stall are creating daily disturbance as more than women were reached there and tried to get forcibly the flour bags even they entered into the stall premises while a lady constable was failed to control the unruly women. DCO Mirpurkhas told that government has been reduced the flour bags quota of the district Mirpurkhas as now 7200 flour bags instead of 8800 four bags would be distributeddaily from flour stalls in the district. He said that he is making efforts to get previous flour quota of the district. He said that he is making efforts to provide safety to the revenue staff at the flour stalls. Meanwhile, DCO has paid surprise visits of Khan Road, Lalchandabad and other areas of the city to check the prices of daily essential commodities. He directed the DDO revenue Mirpurkhas Ammara Aamir Khattak to ensure strict checking of the prices sothat no shopkeepers could get illegal profit. Later he visited also fruit and vegetable market and known the prices from the people.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 25. Hundreds of residents of Bhansinghabad, Satellite town have held protest demonstration here on Monday night at Mirwah road near Chandni chowk to protest against the frequent power outages even at the time of Iftar and Sehri. Protesters have blocked the main Mirwah road and burnt the old tyres as result traffic was suspended for an hour. They raised slogans against the hesco officials and warned that if the frequent outages were not stopped then they would surround the houses of the hesco Mirpurkhas division offices. Power supply was closed at the time of protest demonstration. They complained the newsmen that they were facing bravely the 8 to 10 hours load shedding day night for long time but even in Ramzan month power failure occurring at the time of Iftar and Sehri that is unbearable for the masses. They deplored that during Taravi also power is being disrupted. They demanded the chairman Hesco to take immediate notice of injusticeand atrocities with the masses of Mirpurkhas and reduce the time of load shedding for few hours daily. They urged the authorities to avoid the power suspension during the Iftar and Sehri time.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 24. Hundreds of angry citizens of different localities have held protest demonstration here on Sunday night at Market chowk to protest against the frequent power load shedding. Angry protesters belong to Shahi Bazaar, Toorabad, Dholanabad, Gharibabad, Lalchandabad, Sir Syed road, New town etc have gathered at the market chowk. They burnt the old tyres and manhandled also the SHO town as result traffic was suspended for an hour . They also beated the officials of Hesco complaint center city sub division Mirpurkhas and placed the office furniture at the Mirwah road and set on fire it. They raised slogans against the officials of Hesco Mirpurkhas division and demanded the authorities to end the load shedding especially in Ramzan month. Talking to newsmen, protesters told that power load shedding is continued for 8 to 10 hours daily even in Ramzan month as result they were facing hardships. They urged the hesco higher authorities to end theload shedding in Ramzan month. Meanwhile, Pakistan wapda hydro electric central labour union CBA Mirpurkhas division has issued press release here on Monday in which divisional office bearers accused that protesters on August 23 night attacked the hesco city complaint center in the presence of police and manhandled Line superintendent ii Mohammad Iqbal and line staff and used abusive languages and burnt all the record and furniture. They said that administration has been failed to provide protection to the hesco officials as result we have decided to stage protest demonstration on August 25th in front of XEN operation division office Mirpurkhas and requested the all hesco employees and worker of the union to participate in the protest demonstration.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 24. Thousands of people including women were reached at the flour fair price outlets set up in the city at different places including ground no 2, Satellite town , Pak colony and Mohajir colony ground before starting the flour bags distribution as result disturbance was created and few police officials at each outlets along with a lady police constable were unable to control the people including women. Short quantity of flour bags for distribution has caused unrest and anguish among the people including women who came there to get the subsidized flour. Among turmoil, revenue officials have distributed the subsidized flour bags to the people while majority of the people were returned without flour bag. At Pak colony outlets, due to forcible entry of women in the counter, revenue officials stopped three times the distribution of the flour bags later DDO revenue taluka Mirpurkhas Ammara Aamer Khattak reached the spot and started thedistribution of flour bags. On this occasion, talking to newsmen people including women complained that they had come to obtain the flour bags as announced by the Sindh government but government measures in this regard are insufficient and the 400 bags daily at a outlet are very less and government should increase their quantity till 1000 bags daily. They deplored that in such manner of distribution insulting of the people especially of women are being made while gathered people are disputing with each other to acquire the flour bags. Officials of market committee Mirpurkhas were absent at the above outlets and the price lists of fruits, vegetables and groceries were not issued by market committee Mirpurkhas on Sunday as result DCO Mirpurkhas has also taken notice and warned the assistant director market committee that if the assigned duties and responsibilities were not fulfilled by officials of market committee then he will report to concernedsecretary against the market committee Mirpurkhas. DCO Mirpurkhas talking to Dawn said that 8800 flour bags on subsidized rate RS 10 per kilogramme have been distributed among the masses on Monday without any discrimination from established outlets in the district. He said that he is making efforts to distribute the flour bags smoothly without any hindrance and in manner and for this pose he added that directives have been issued to the all DDO revenue and other officials .

MIRPURKHAS Aug 24. Atta chaki association Mirpurkhas has decided to sale the flour at RS 32 per kilogramme from chaki while chakies owners would not sale the flour at RS 10 per kilogramme. Meeting was held presided by its chairman Liaqat Ali Qureshi that was attended also Abdul Rasheed Abbasi, Abdul Waheed Khan, Malik Nadeem, Mohammad Rafi, Mohammad Rafique and others. In a press release issued here on Monday, Meeting deplored that this time Sindh government has not provided the special quota of wheat for Ramzan month to Chakies as result chaki owners are unable to sale the flour at RS 10 per kilogramme, while, it said that in past government was provided the special Ramzan quota of wheat for sale of flour on subsidized rate as result in localities flour was available for the masses. Meeting regretted that poor people are disturbed as people even in fast condition were standed in the ground to get the flour at subsidized rate while mostly people arereturning to their houses without flour. It termed the insulting of the masses on the pretext of distribution of flour at subsidized rate. Meeting expressed that this government policy is in the benefit of black seller. Meeting demanded the government to impose immediately Rashan depot system for providing equal and genuine subsidy on flour to the masses as wheat is in the control of the government and masses is purchasing the flour at reasonable rate.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 23. Subsidized Flour has been started to distribute the masses through 22 flour fair price outlets in the district here on Sunday from first Ramzan following the directives of Sindh chief minister. DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon has visited the different flour pair price outlets setup in Digri and Mirpurkhas taluka and examined the process of sale of the subsidized flour. DCO told the newsmen after his visit that 22 flour fair price outlets have been setup in the district and each outlet is being provided 400 flour bags per bag 10 kilogrammes. He said that separate lines (queries) of male and female have been setup there to distribute the flour without any disturbance from 12 PM to 4 PM such 8800 flour bags would be provided to the masses on subsidized rates daily without any discrimination in the district. He said that DDO revenue, Mukhtiarkar and officials of food department are checking the quality of flour at flour mills andensuring the quality of the flour. He said that on the pointation regarding the hoarders and profiteers legal action will be taken against the them . He said that food department is providing the special quota of wheat to six flour mills of the district to grind the flour and sale the flour at subsidized rates to the masses through flour fair price outlets. In Mirpurkhas taluka Noor Shah flour mills will provide the flour bags at outlets including Pak colony government school and training center Mirpurkhas, Mohajir colony Mirpurkhas, Scheme no 2 stadium, main Baloch Para satellite town and Mirwah city. In Hussain Bux Mari taluka, Memon flour mills will supply the flour bags to outlets including Mohammad Ali hotel near government primary school, Mirpur Old Near police station and village Muhammad Hassan Mari near Government primary school. In taluka Sindhri, Siddique flour mills will provide the flour bags to outlets 12 Mile TMA office, Government highschool Hingorno, Rural Health center Phuladyyoon, Government primary school Girhore Sharif and union council office at 78 Mori. In Kot Ghulam Mohammad taluka, Al Saeed flour mills KGM will supply the flour bags to outlets Mukhtiarkar office kot Ghulam Mohammad and Government high school Kot Mirus. In Digri taluka, Sindhri flour mill will provide the flour bags to the outlets including Mukhtiarkar office Digri, government primary school Digri, Dai road Tando Jan Mohammad and Government high school Tando Jan Mohammad. In Jhuddo taluka, Chandija flour mill will supply the flour bags to the outlets set up at Main Shahi bazaar chowk near NBP Jhuddo, Bus stop near Abdul Rauf Atta chaki Jhuddo, Old Sabzi Mandi Near MCB Naukot and near Bus stop Naukot.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 23. Additional session Judge Mirpurkhas ii has been cancelled the pre arrest bail of the 8th policemen involved in the murder case of Hayat Kolachi of town police station after the cancellation of police case summary of this case submitted by investigation officer to the civil Judge and judicial magistrate Mirpurkhas 1, Ahmed Nawaz Domki who also ordered to submit the challan of the murder case. Those policemen whose pre arrest bail was cancelled including ex SHO town Ghulam Fareed Jatt, inspector Abid, sub inspector Ameen Mari, ASI Moor Unar, ASI Naseem Pervez, Head constable Zulfikar Bhatti , police constables Liaqat son of Abdul Ghafoor and Liaqat son of Mohammad Siddique. After cancellation of their pre arrest bail, they escaped away from the court premises. Hayat Kolachi was killed in police custody at town police station on May 11, 2009 night while murder case under section 302, 147, 149, 220, 337A (i), 337F (i) and 342 PPC waslodged with town police station on May 29, 2009 on the complaint of Mohammad Ayub Kolachi, brother of the deceased resident of Tando Mohammad Khan district against the above accused 8th policemen after the order of sessions court Mirpurkhas. Additional session Judge Mirpurkhas ii had been granted pre arrest bail to the above accused policemen. Investigation officer of this case ex SPO Satellite town Malik Usman had been made investigation of this case and disposed it in cancel class (C class). While with all documents including medical certificates etc the case summary of this case was submitted to the civil Judge and Judicial magistrate Mirpurkhas I, which on the ground of unsatisfactory report of the police investigation rejected the C class and ordered the police to submit its challan in the court . It may be recalled that Hayat Kolachi and his unknown accomplice on May 11, were trying to steal the bike parked in the civil hospital Mirpurkhas where bike owner intercepted them on which Hayat Kolachi escaping from the spot opened fires as result a head constable Abdul Razzaq, who was giving duty in civil hospital injured and sustained bullet injuries . While the citizens and police went back to the escaped Hayat Kolachi and surrounded a house in new town where he took shelter after negotiation SPO Mohammad Ayub Dars arrested him and recovered from him a unlicensed pistol. He was shifted to the town police station. During interrogation he was died and police shifted him to civil hospital emergency where doctors pronounced him dead. His post mortem was made in the civil hospital and later his body was handed over to his brother Mohammad Ayub Kolachi. On behalf of state, town police lodged the case of keeping unlicensed arms against the deceased accusedHayat Kolachi. While Nadir Ali Lodho has lodged the case with town police station under section 17/1 PHO, 324, 353 and 34 PPC ,accusing that accused Hayat Kolachi and his unknown accomplice trying to theft his bike and attempted to murder him by strait firing. Area magistrate and DDO revenue Mirpurkhas Ammara Aamer Khattak had also been conducted the inquiry of this incident and recorded the statements of related officers and officials but she also told the newsmen that no torture mark was found at the body of the deceased Hayat Kolachi and medical report is also denied his murder .

Ittihad Panel (Haji Shafi Mohammad Group) has won the election of Sarafa association Mirpurkhas here on Friday as there was competition between Ittihad Panel (Haji Mohammad Shafi group) and Ham Khayal panel (Habib Shah Group) but Ittihad panel won the election that was held for two years. Total 140 votes were registered for casting in the election. Vote casting remained continue from morning to evening at 5 PM and in night result was announced. Civil judge and Judicial Magistrate Mirprukhas 1, Ahmed Nawaz Domki as raid commissioner has conducted raid at CIA police center Mirpurkhas and recovered from the illegal detention of one Javed Hussain, resident of Digri town and directed the incharge CIA center Mirpurkhas to be appeared in the district and sessions court Mirpurkhas along with relevant record on Monday August 24 morning. Report said that Mohammad Haseeb, resident of Digri town had submitted the application under section 491 in the court of district and sessions Judge Mirpurkhas in which stated that his brother Javed Hussain came to local court Mirpurkhas on hearing of his case on Saturday morning that outside the court premises CIA police Mirpurkhas picked up him and detained him illegally in the lock up without any case. He requested the court to appoint the raid commissioner and get released his illegal detained brother from illegal confinement of the CIA PoliceMirpurkhas.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 22. Chairperson Human rights commission of Pakistan HRCP Asma Jahangir has taken notice of implication of innocent senior journalist of Mirpurkhas Afaq Ahmed Khan in the case of terrorism act and addressed a letter to provincial police officer Sindh to order the high level impartial inquiry into this case and provide justice to the journalist . Local journalists have welcomed the chairperson of HRCP for taking notice and writing the letter to PPO. In separate press release issued here on Saturday, president of Gulistan e Mazoreen center Mirpurkhas Javed Malik, general secretary Qamaruddin Malik and President Ayub Maher of Anjuman e Akhbar Faroshan Mirpurkhas have lauded the chairman HRCP for taking notice of injustice and atrocities being made with senior journalist. They demanded the chief justice Sindh high court to take notice also into this matter, remove the name of above journalist from the case and punish exemplary to the complainant for implicating the journalist without any evidence.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 22. Town police have rounded up a travel agent from Gulshan e Memaar Karachi and locked him in the town police station here on Friday night. Report said that about 10 days back, Ms Nasreen Magsi had lodged the case with town police station accusing that accused Azeem Magsi had committed fraud with her as he received her RS 4 lakhs for sending her to Abu Dhabi but he did not make arrangements in this regard even when she asked her to return his money on which he issued her threats of dire consequences. On a tip off, town police party carried out raid at Gulshan Memaar Karachi and apprehended him and locked him in the town police station. As the news of his arresting spread in the city various people including women came to town police station where they told the newsmen that above accused had also been looted them by cheating. Police were interrogating with him to ascertain his accomplices.

Scores of office bearers and workers of Jeay Sindh Quami Mahaz JSQM district Mirpurkhas took out protest procession here on Friday from railway station chowk to local press club to protest against the police failure to arrest the culprits involved in murderous attack on Basheer Khan Qureshi, chairman JSQM. Led by cultural secretary Najaf Leghari, they marched through main roads and raised slogans against the police and government and demanding the immediate arrest of killers of Mushtaque Khaskheli. They , carried banners and placards, reached at local press club where speaking at the protesters Najaf Leghari, Manzoor Memon, Arjan Kumar and Asghar Narejo said that Basheer Khan Qureshi was struggling for the prosperity of Sindh land and Sindhi nation and carrying the programme of Sain G.M.Syed, while the socalled state is against him and his colleagues and get murderous attacked upon him to press the real voice of Sindh. They said thatin the murderous attack, one attacker was killed and another attacker was injured, however, they accused that due to unrespectable attitude of government the real attackers were not yet unmasked. They demanded the government to immediately clarify the real culprits involved in murderous attack upon Basheer Khan Qureshi and punish them exemplary. MIRPURKHAS Aug 21. DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon has said that four stalls would be setup in each taluka of the district for sale of flour at subsidize rate RS 10 per kilogramme for the masses and they would be establish at safe places sothat people could buy the flour easily . This said, while presiding over the meeting of food committee held here on Friday. He asked the concerned department to provide flour according to the quota of the district. He gave suggestion to set up stalls at Mukhtiarkar office, police station and high schools. DCO was told on this occasion that 1600 flour bags would be provided to each stall daily and a representative of magistrate will be present at each stall who will submit daily report to DCO office Mirpurkhas. DDOs revenue and office bearers of food committee participated. Besides, presiding another meeting of peace committee, DCO said that security arrangements would be make more strict and effective during Ramzan month sothat no any untoward inident might be occurred. Ulmae Karam of the district including Mufti Shareef Saeedi, Moulana Sadique Saeedi, Mushtaque Naqshbandi, Ziaul Hassan Naqvi, Moulana Abdul Hafeez Faiz and other Ulmas participated in the meeting. He further said that screen cameras would be installed at mosques, Imam Bargahs and other religious places during Ramzan month. He said that prices of daily essential commodities have been fixed and shopkeepers are being bound to sale commodities at their fixed prices and price list will be display at the shops otherwise legal action will be taken against them. In this connection, two complaint cell of Magistrate has been setup in the city, he added. He further said that government had fixed the sugar price RS 50 per kilogramme but we have decided to sale the sugar with cooperation of shopkeepers at RS 49 per kilogramme and added that illegal parking will be removed in the city. He directed the hesco officers to reduce the power load shedding time during Ramzan month. Ulmas have apprised the meeting about the problems of shortage of water supply, prices of daily essential commodities, parking, health and cleanliness.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 21. A family planning camp was setup at village Jodewal deh 301, taluka Kot Ghulam Mohammad by district population office Mirpurkhas with the cooperation of green star social marketing in which 51 operations were made while three injections were administered. According to a handout issued here on Friday, DR Samreen Mushtaque and Dr Robina Bhutto of Green star and Allah Bachao Rani of population welfare department have treated the women and provide them medicines free of cost. MIRPURKHAS Aug 19. A student of matric class was shot and injured seriously by two unknown armed motor cyclists here on Wednesday morning at Lalchandabad. Report said that Faran, 16, s/o Dr. Nigar, ex president Pakistan Medical association Mirpurkhas was on his way to school that two unknown bike ridders opened fire on him as result he sustained serious bullet injuries, rushed to emergency of civil hospital where he was provided first aid and then referred for Liaqat Medical University hospital Hyderabad due to his precarious condition. The armed motor cyclists fled away from the spot after the incident. Town police have cordoned off the area and started search the escaped bike ridders. However no case of this incident was reported till filing of the news.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 19. Scores of office bearers and workers of Sindh peoples youth district Mirpurkhas took out a protest rally from the party office here on Wednesday to protest against the Geo TV channel advertising against the Bhutto family and PPP. Protesters led by district president Mohammad Haneef Memon and Ali Akbar Narejo , carried banners and placards marched through main roads and reached at local press club where speakers including Pir Muzammil Jan Sarhandi, Waheed Memon and others strongly condemned the administration of Geo TV channel and accused that above channel is making false advertisements against the Bhutto family, PPP and president Asif Ali Zardari. They urged the administration of the channel to stop immediately such advertisements. They alleged that Shahid Masood and Kamran Khan are the production of dictator regime. They demanded the administration of the channel to sack the both reporters as they were working to damage the democracyand giving benefit to dictatorship. They warned that administration of above TV channel will be responsible if they were not sacked from their jobs. Later they burnt the effigy of Geo TV channel.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 12. Kot Ghulam Mohammad police have been booked over 40 persons for creating hurdle in government duty and forcibly rescued the arrested narcotic peddler from the police custody on Tuesday night. Report said that on a tip off, special police team have carried out raid at a hotel at 10 Mile Mori, in the limit of Kot Ghulam Mohammad police station on Tuesday and apprehended a narcotic peddler Javed Leghari and recovered from his possession 19 packets of liquor. During this dozens of people mostly belong to Leghari community gathered there and surrounded the police party. They forced the police party to leave the nabbed accused even they exchanged hot words and caused to be set free the accused Javed Leghari and provided him opportunity to be escaped from the spot. They held protest demonstration against the police party and blocked the main Mirwah Gorchani and Kot Ghulam Mohammad road by creating hurdles and also burnt the tyres as resulttraffic was suspended. Later heavy contingents of police headed by SPO Digri and Mirpurkhas reached at the spot, negotiated with the protesters and after assurances of police protesters dispersed peacefully. However, Kot Ghulam Mohammad police have lodged the case under section 353, 224, 225 and 34 PPC on behalf of state against the accused Javed Leghari, Dr Dildar, Porho Khan Leghari, Jamal, Hamzo, Atta Mohammad and 30 to 40 unknown persons. Investigation KGM police remained fail to nab the nominated accused till filing of this news.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 12. No parking zone to controle the traffic flow at busy M.A. Jinnah road of the city is being established as vehicle lifter has been reached here. The practice to establish parking zone is being made by DPO Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Shaikh, who, talking to the news man on Wednesday, said that he has been making efforts to make police as police services for the downtrodden people as he had already been setup no parking zone at M.A.Jinnah road in past for some time to controle the traffic flow in the city while vehicle lifter and staff were brought from Hyderabad. MIRPURKHAS Aug 12. Phuladyyoon police carried out raid at village Haji Ilyas Shar and taken into custody Ms Robina wife of Ibrahim Shar from house of her father Mirza Khan Shar in the limit of Phuladyyoon police station to provide protection her here on Wednesday. Report said that Mirza Khan Shar had submitted an application to DPO Mirpurkhas apprising him that his daughter Ms Robina wife of Ibrhaim came to his house and told that her husband and his relatives wanted to kill her in Karo Kari as they have leveled false allegations her as Kari and requested to provide her police protection . After this, DPO Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Shaikh directed the SPO Sindhri Pir Allah Rakhyo to provide protection her by taking her in custody. SPO Sindhri told that he has conducted raid at village Haji Ilyas Shar and taken her in custody on Wednesday night and kept her in Phuladyyoon police station. He further said that she will be produced in the court on Thursdaymorning for recording her statement under section 164.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 9, Scores of workers and office bearers of Jeay Sindh Quami Mahaz and Jeay Sindh students federation JSSF district Mirpurkhas have held protest demonstration here on Sunday outside the local press club to protest against the police failure to arrest the accused of murder case of Shaheed Asad Abbasi, leader of JSSF Mehran university. Protesters carried banners, placards, black flags and party flags led by district president Mazhar Mirrani and district organizer Riaz Leghari, raised slogans against the police and demanding the government to immediately arrest the involved culprits in the murder of Asad Abbasi. Those participated including Faqeer Qaisar Mari, Aftab solangi, Alam Baloch, Khuda Bux Chohan, Pir Zaman, Ayaz Baloch, Zaman Mari, Mohammad Aslam Leghari, Zeeshan Leghari etc. Speaking at the protesters Mazhar Mirrani and Riaz Leghari deplored that the killers of Asad Abbasi are roaming openly and police were not apprehending them dueto unknown causes. They said that killers should be nabbed and demanded exemplary strict punishment for them. They further demanded the government to withdraw the false cases against JSQM leaders Sarai Qurban Khawar and president JSSF Sajjad Shar and others.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 9. Federal minister for sports Pir Aftab Hussain Shah Jilani has said that government is making all possible measures for promoting the sports activities and encouragement of the sportsmen. He added that except cricket tournaments on district level, other sports competitions are being held to create good players. He was speaking as chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of 5th inter district twenty twenty cricket tournament held at PCB ground Mirpurkhas here on Sunday. He further said that best sports opportunities would be available here after completion of Mirpurkhas sports complex. He lauded the services of National bank of Pakistan and said that this bank being the national bank had given great services to promote the sports, agriculture, economics and banking in the country. Federal minister said that Pakistan cricket board PCB grounds would be construct at Sukkur and other districts of the Sindh province as their approval had beengiven officially but construction work has not yet been started and PCB should take personal interest to start the construction work particularly at Sukkur . He requested the notables of the Sukkur to provide land for this purpose. On this occasion, chief selector of PCB Iqbal Qasim said that except professional responsibilities of NBP, it has been promoting the sports activities to come forward the talented players of the country. He further said that eleven districts of the Sindh province are registered with PCB and added that PCB grounds now would be established in all districts of the Sindh sothat youths of each district might be represent their districts. Earlier, president Hyderabad cricket association Mir Haider Talpure, consultant Ghulam Mohammad Khan and Wahid Hussain Pahelwani also spoke.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 9. Mirpurkhas union of journalist MUJ has strongly condemned the implication of four journalists in false cases by the local police as result resentment and unrest have been prevailed among the journalist community. Meeting of MUJ was held here on Sunday presided by general secretary Ghulam Rasool Mugheri. Meeting criticized the police attitude towards the local journalists as on the simple applications of drug mafia’s men and money extortionists cases were lodged without any preliminary inquiry of police. Meeting deplored that two false cases including a case of terrorism act were lodged against senior journalist and president MUJ Afaq Ahmed Khan without any inquiry while case against senior journalist Syed Zahir Shah was registered and on August 8, false case of cable theft was lodged with town police station against the journalist Bakhtiar Shah. Speaking at the meeting Ghulam Rasool Mugheri said that police wanted to deliberately implicate the journalists in false cases to take revenge as journalists were exposed the police corruption and their illegal act. He warned that police should conduct preliminary inquiry against the journalist and if he is found in the incident should be nominated in the case. He demanded the DIG Mirpurkhas zone and DPO Mirpurkhas to take immediate notice into this matter and provide justice to the journalists as they were being implicated in false cases on the basis of personal enmity. He urged the authorities to conduct the inquiry and if the journalists were not involved in any illegal activity then complainants should be given strict punishment.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 9. For acquiring the clean and standard cotton crop, Sindh government had been launched a project also in district Mirpurkhas along with other districts of the province and first of all under the clean cotton project four villages were choice in the district including Dodo Khan Leghari, Ahmed Khan Kerio, Bahawal Lashari and Dittal Leghari. According to official sources, first of all 8 girls were selected for training and sent them to Sakrand agriculture institute for 15 days training of plugging the clean cotton in the field. After training two girls each are giving training to 32 selected women of above each village and those women trainers are also being given RS 10000 per month per trainer for training of clean and standard plugging of cotton under the above project . While those women gaining their training in above villages are also acquiring RS 4000 per month. Sources said that this project is also being run in Badin, Umerkot,Tandoallahyar, Matiari, Hyderabad, Sanghar, Nawabshah, Noshehroferoz, Khairpur, Sukkur, Ghotki, Dadu and Jamshoro district.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 4. Provincial minister for prison Muzaffar Shajra has said that all the prisons of Sindh were being computerized sothat record of the prisoners might be saved. This said, while visiting the district prison Mirpurkhas here on Monday evening. He directed the concerned doctor to provide all health facilities as well as medicines to the prisoners. He expressed that three times meal of per prisoner was of RS 35 according to Jail menial in past that has now been increased till RS 75 per prisoner. He said that according to jail menial all facilities were being provided to the prisoners in the Mirpurkhas prison and efforts are continued to solve their grievances. He told that playing grounds are being established for prisoners in the jails of Sindh province with the cooperation of provincial minister for sports and said that prepared meal will be provided to prisoners from August 14, 2009. He said that measures are being taken to improve the jailssothat each prisoner might be feel secure himself. He heared the problems of the prisoners to go in the barracks. Later, he visited the under construction new building of district jail Mirpurkhas near Jarwary Shakh. On this occasion DIG Jail Allauddin Abbasi, jail superintendent Mirpurkhas Ziaur Rehman, DCO Ghulam Hussain Memon, MPA Taimoor talpure and other concerned officers were also present.

He was speaking at tri cycle’s distribution ceremony held at Gilistan e Mazoreen center Mirpurkhas here on Tuesday. She said that God had given such power to disables as result they could not be failed in any work. She said that on behalf of government efforts would be made to establish disable community center Mirpurkhas . She asked the president Gulistan e Mazoreen center to choice the land while RS 1 million would be provided from MPA development fund and assured of her full cooperation for the disable persons and their Gulistan e Mazoreen center Mirpurkhas. DDO revenue Mirpurkhas Ammara Aamir Khatak said that this center is working purely for the disables of this region without any discrimination. She lauded the services of administration of this center and added that members and officebearers of this center are the national level disable players of the country. President of the center Javed Malik has apprised the problems and efficiency of the center and said that his center had yet been given over 600 wheel chairs and tri cycles to the disables free of cost and said that this center has launched an English language course free of cost for disable persons. He demanded the government to provide place for Gulistan e Mazoreen center in the city and appealed the philanthropists to help in construction of the building of the center. Earlier, MPA Shamim Aara Panhwer given away 6 tri cycles to disables of the center.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 4. DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon has said that Independent day will be celebrated with great zeal and fervor as colorful ceremonies would also be held in the district. This said, while presiding over a meeting held here on Tuesday in connection of celebrating the independent day. He said that important ceremony on that day will be held at Gama stadium where except Zila Nazim Mirpurkhas, officers and notables, invitations would also be sent to MNAs, MPAs and ministers to attend the ceremony. Meeting decided that prizes would be given to those best illuminated private and government buildings and close circuit cameras would be installed at important places of the city to ensure security on that day. Fruits among patients of civil hospital and fruits and meals would be distributed among the prisoners of the district jail Mirpurkhas. On this occasion, EDO education told the meeting that on behalf of education department from August 1st,different competitions including sports, Qirat, Naat, national songs, speeches and tablos in different schools are continued and added that successful students would be given shields and prizes on Aug 14, 2009.

Additional general secretary Jaffria alliance Pakistan Syed Shabbar Raza Rizvi , provincial leader of Jamiat ulma e Islam Mufti Shareef Saeedi, chairman railway workers union Manzoor Razi and Shakoor Shaikh of Mehran welfare association have strongly condemned the registration of false cases against the Afaq Ahmed Khan , president Mirpurkhas union of Journalist and senior journalist Syed Zahir Shah . In their separate statements, they deplored that Mirpurkhas police were lodging the cases against the senior journalists without any inquiry and they condemned the state terrorism against the fourth pillar of the country.

District and sessions Judge Mirpurkhas Rasheed Ahmed Soomro has awarded sentence of five years imprisonment and fine RS 10000 to accused Zulfikar Bhutto in charges of having 6 kilogramme charas here on Monday. If the accused failed to pay fine he will have undergo additional three months imprisonment. Narcotic case against the accused was lodged by Kot Ghulam Mohammad police.

Provincial minister for information technology Raza Haroon has termed the local government system a successful municipal system under which infact power was transferred till grass root level however he added that there was possibility to amend it instead of its abolishment or removing. Regarding the progress of information technology ministry, he said that E government project is being installed in the province and first of all it has been installed in five departments including health, education, finance and planning and development. He said that E government system had been imposed throughout world under this project transparency was remained in the record and all the people could read the efficiency of the departments. He said that for making better police system, E police project is working at Karachi as all the police stations would be connected with each other. He expressed that under Shaheed Benazeer Bhutto information technology programme; about 7000 unemployed youths were given training in the province while they were also given stipend. He said that a soft wear has been installed in E government Sukkur after fruitfull result, that soft wear willbe installed in all the districts of the province. He said that under this soft wear, all DCOs could participate in the meetings with higher officers through video conference without going to Karachi. MIRPURKHAS Aug 2. Chairman railway workers union Manzoor Ahmed Razi has demanded the president Asif Ali Zardari and prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani to give special attention on the Pakistan railway department and provide it special grant to stand up it on its foot and forgive its loan. He was speaking at a press conference here on Sunday. He urged the concerned authorities to activate the railway department in the country by stoppage its privatization process. Regarding the corruption in railway department , he said that in previous regime massive corruption was made to sale the railway assets, 69 costly railway engines and 300 coaches had been purchased from china while that time retired general Javed Ashraf Qazi was the minister for railway however on the raising of this corruption matter by Siddiqul Farooque, leader of PML(N) in the assembly, reference was prepared and sent to National accountability Bureau for proceeding but due to unknowncauses that was remained in pending and then that case was sent to supreme court where it is still in pending. He accused that 12 engines (locomotives) of 69 engines were faulty and a team of China experts was also arrived at Karachi in the regime of Shaikh Rasheed that worked on those faulty engines to repair them. He deplored that various trains including Shah Abdul Lateef express train had been closed after Dec 27,2007 while services of all those closed trains should be resumed to provide travel facilities to the masses. Manzoor Razi lamented that incidents or accidents were occurred due to faulty signal system in the country as railway department remained failed since two years to repair the faulty signal system and he asked the authorities to repair the faulty signal system without any delay to reduce the chances of incidents or accidents of railway department. He said that confidence of masses has been ended on the railway department due tomostly failure of its engines and shortage of power plant and added that owing to failure of engines (locomotive) in the way travelers faced hardships and trains were delayed to reach their destinations. He urged the railway authorities to increase the quantity of trains between Mirpurkhas and Hyderabad. He said that authorities should construct the plazas (buildings) on the railway lands in the big cities and give the flats on rent instead to sale out the costly railway lands. He advised the railway authorities to give the railway agriculture land of closed railway stations on lease for increasing its income. He said that land Mafia is occupying the railway lands in the country and authorities should get rid from land Mafia by taking drastic measures and stop the stealing in railway department and its properties by strict action against the culprits. He lauded the president Asif Ali Zardari and said that Zardari has recently been taken notice anddirected the concerned railway authorities to ensure stoppage of theft in railway department and providing of power plant and making the better system of railway in the country.

Protest rally was taken out by Awami Tehreek Mirpurkhas here on Sunday from Chandni chowk on the Sindh issues including construction of power plant at Chashma Jehlum link canal, construction of Kala Bagh Dam, price hike, unemployment etc. Protesters including women led by leaders Abdul Qadir Ranpo and Anwer Nohani have demanded the government to stop the projects against Sindh province. They were carried banners and placards, marched through main roads and reached at Market chowk where speakers have strongly condemned the government for the preparation of anti Sindh projects , growing price hike of general essential commodities , unemployment and entry of outsiders in the Sindh province. They accused that government was not resolving the problems of the masses as common masses are disturbed due to growing price hike and unemployment. They said that government had been failed to stop the outsiders coming in the province that are theburden on the province. They demanded the government to withdraw the projects of construction of power plant on Chashma Jehlum link canal and Kala Bagh dam.

Local Christian community leaders Patrik, Fanyyaz Jon, Mehboob Masih, Younus Masih and others have strongly condemned the the killing of innocent Christians , attack on Churches and attack on houses of Christians in Gojrah, Punjab. In a joint press statement issued here on Sunday, they deplored such kind of activities have been occurring with Christians in the country while governments in each regime remained fail to stop such kind of crime and activities against Christians. They accused that miscreants had killed innocent Christianson personal enmity by giving religious colour. They said that Christians community is peaceful but remained yet target of miscreants. They were carried banners and placards and marched through main roads and reached at Market chowk where they staged sit in. Protesters burnt tyres as result traffic was suspended for four hours. Heavy contingents of police were present on this occasion. Speakers on this occassion strongly condemned the police behavior towards journalists and deplored that on the simpleapplications of narcotic peddlers and money extortionists’ police were registering the FIRs against the journalists in the district without any investigation. They deplored that within two months various FIRs were lodged against the journalists including Syed Zahir Shah, Farooque Kaim Khani, M.Hashim Shar, Afaq Ahmed Khan etc. They lamented that false cases were being lodged against the journalists on the behest of drug mafia and criminals as result resentment had been prevailed among the local journalists and feeling themselves insecure. It may be recalled that two days back, Abdul Nasir Khan had lodged the case with town police station of attempt to murder, beating, ablazing with intention of killing and spreading terrorism( under section 324, 337 A(I), F(I), 34 PPC, 436 and 6/7 Anti terrorism act ).

District and sessions Judge Mirpurkhas Rasheed Ahmed Soomro has said that chief justice of Pakistan has given the national judicial policy 2009 for providing immediate justice to the masses and added that due to implementation on it more than help will be get to provide justice to the people. He was speaking as chief guest at the National judicial conference held here on Saturday in the premises of district and sessions court Mirpurkhas that was attended by lawyers, judges and government officers. He further said that except the speedy disposal of cases under this National judicial policy there was need to be jointly work by magistrates, lawyers, judicial magistrates and other government officials to make successful to this policy. He said that the purpose of this conference was to apprise the people about this policy and receiving the new proposals, recommendations and suggestions for which today conferences were being held on districtlevel throughout country sothat after reviewing better new proposals might be included into the policy. DDO revenue and special judicial magistrate Ammara Aamir Khatak, DIG Mirpurkhas Mushtaque Maher and additional session judge Zarina Abbasi said that it is the first policy under which chief justice of Pakistan have activated the all institutions for providing justice to the masses without any discrimination and added that justice should not be delay and deserves should be given rights and punish the accused. Joint emergency meeting of Mirpurkhas Union of Journalist and National press club Mirpurkhas has strongly condemned the registration of false case and implicating Afaq Ahmed Khan, president MUJ in the terrorism case on the complaint of bad reputed persons. Joint meeting of MUJ and National press club Mirpurkhas was held here on Friday presided by Ghulam Rasool Mugheri that was attended by Abdul Aziz Khan, Sajjad Rind, Sohail Ahmed, Mohammad Hashim Shar, Kashif Ghori, Shah Bakhtiar , Wafaq Ahmed Khan, Mushtaque Ahmed, Irfan Qureshi, Shahid Jameel, Mohammad Shehzad, Shamshad Ahmed Qureshi, Syed Zahir Shah, Qamaruddin and others . Meeting was told that complainant and his accomplices are bad reputed and various criminal cases including money extortion were already registered against them. Meeting deplored that without proper investigation, town police have lodged the case against the senior journalist even complainant implicated him interrorism case. MIRPURKHAS July 31. Information secretary Jamiaat Ulama e Islam JUI Sindh Abdul Razzaq Abid Lakho has said that his party as well as other religious parties are already condemned the violence activities in the country and had termed illegal act to the suicide attack. He was addressing at a press conference here on Friday. He urged the government to end the operation in tribal areas without any delay. He lamented that government institutions had allowed the banned organizations to hold processions and public meetings in the country. He deplored that about 40 lakhs people of Swat valley were displaced from their houses but regretted that media did not expose any one terrorist, and accused that government had acquired sufficient quantity of dollars from USA to kill innocent thousands of people in the country . On this occasion, member media cell Sindh Nazim Burdi said that Sindh province facing crisis as Sindhi language is being ended while governmentattention on Sindhi medium in schools had also been finished. He alleged that Sindhi people were being target killing by agencies in cities of Sindh province. He further said that rulers wanted to break the country while we are making struggle to save the country. He said that voice of Ulma is being pressed in the country however; he said that Islam is given the lesson of love, peace and brotherhood while Muslim could not think about any kind of terrorism. He said that terrorists in the shape of Ulma are committed terrorism to defame the Ulmas . Moulana Hafeezur Rehman Faiz, Azam Jahangeer, Nazimuddin Burdi and Saleem Sindhi were also present on this occasion.

MIRPURKHAS July 30. District and sessions Judge Mirpurkhas Rasheed Ahmed Soomro has awarded sentence of life imprisonment to four accused Qasim , Jumma , Anwer and Nabi Bux in the murder case of Jhuddo police station here on Thursday while acquitted the accused Ghulam Ali and Kareem . Report said that five years ago, above accused had killed Mohammad Ashraf in Jhuddo town after dispute on agriculture land. In another decision, civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate Mirpurkhas ii has awarded sentence of three years imprisonment to accused Ghulam Mehdi Lund, Shoukat Lund and Maqbool Mehkani in the case of Phuladyyoon police station. Report said that above three convicts had removed the hairs of head, dial and mustachis of complainant Noor Mohammad Kumbhar on May 20th , 2006 at the public place in Phuladyyoon town .
