MIRPURKHAS Jan 30. An accused of issuing threats of kidnapping for ransom was arrested by Digri police while court granted his 14 days police remand on Friday. Report said that Ghulam Mohammad Soomro, general manager Al Abbas sugar mill Mirwah Gorchani has lodged the case under section 386, 506(ii), 341 and 34 PPC with Digri police station accusing that Nishaat Nohani, Ashique Keeryo and Badal Keeryo have demanded him RS 10 lakhs otherwise threatened to kidnap him and killing . He further said that when he went to sector of the mill at 10 Mile Mori above accused reached there and forced him to pay demand money otherwise they would kidnapped him . He added that he took time for paying money and reached to mill. Digri police carried out raids and apprehended accused Nishaat Nohani and produced him in the court of civil Judge and judicial magistrate Digri taluka which granted his 14 days police remand. While raids are continued to nab the other two nominated accused by the Digri police.

MIRPURKHAS Jan 30. A meeting of different social workers was held here on Sunday presided by Syed Zahir Shah that formed a NGO namely “Global development partner organization”GDPO. Meeting decided that its constitutional committee will be setup in its next meeting to be held within a week. Meeting discussed that many areas of the district Mirpurkhas as well as other districts including Tharparkar are still far flung areas and deprived of basic facilities while there was need to be more work to rehabilitate those backward areas. Meeting further decided that seminars and workshops would be held to those far flung areas for creating the awareness of masses of those areas sothat they could be developed on self help basis. Those attended the meeting senior journalist Saleem Azad, Sohrab Lashari, Dr Sarwan Kumar, Journalist Qaim Solangi, Jam Samejo, Journalist Sajjad Rind, Qamaruddin Qureshi, Journalist Afaq Ahmed Khan Advocate, councilor Haleema Baloch and Syed Ghulam Nabi Shah. 

MIRPURKHAS Jan 30. Protest rally was taken out by dozens of women belong to Walkart area, Satellite town here on Saturday from railway station chowk to protest against the registration of false narcotic case and arresting of tailor master by excise police Mirpurkhas . Women carried banners and placards led by Zeenat Baloch raised slogans against the excise police Mirpurkhas. They marched through main road and reached at local press club. Where they staged protest demonstration demanding the authorities to withdraw the false case and release the arrested tailor master Zahid Rajput. They told the newsmen that assistant excise and taxation officer Mirpurkhas Farooque Bajwa carried out raid at the house of tailor master Zahid Rajput at Walkart area and apprehended him, while they accused that excise police lodged the false case of narcotic in which shows the nabbing of Zahid Rajput and recovery of one and half Kilogramme Charas from his possession and further shows as absconder to his cousin Shahid Baloch. Meanwhile addressing at the joint press conference Noor Bibi, mother of accused Shahid Baloch and Nasreen, mother and Abida, wife of arrested accused Zahid Rajput have strongly condemned the arresting and registration of false narcotic case against Zahid Rajput and Shahid Baloch. They alleged that Farooque Bajwa , excise officer had demanded of RS 2 lakhs as bribe from them but incase of failure to pay bribe, he along with heavy contingents of police conducted raid and picked up Zahid Rajput and implicated him and his cousen in false narcotic case , while he was going to perform Jumma prayer. They accused that police made atrocities with women by forcibly entering into their homes and broken the cloths of sister’s daughter of Zahid Rajput. They further accused that officials of excise police also looted 5 Tola gold ornaments and cash. They demanded the Sindh chief minister and Governor Sindh to take immediate notice order a higher level inquiry and suspend the concern assistant excise and taxation officer Farooque Bajwa without any delay.

MIRPURKHAS Jan 30. Provincial general secretary of Muslim League (Q) Haleem Adil Shaikh has said that our opinion is quite clear over NRO and we had not allowed approving it from parliament in his government tenure. He was talking to newsmen here on Friday night at residence of provincial vice president Basheer Johri following burial of senior PML (N) leader comrade Abdul Majeed Rajput. He said that president PML (Q) Chohadhry Shujaat Hussain had cleared to prime minister during his recently meeting with him that his party will not support NRO. He said that reorganization will be of PML(Q) in Mirpurkhas division and in district Mirpurkhas and said that benefit parast would not be allowed to come forward and will priority to honest , sincere and hardworking workers. He said that his party will take massive part in local body election and we are an effective power in Sindh province. He announced Haji Mohammad Saleem as president PML (Q) Mirpurkhas city and Sajid Ahmed Johri as district president youth wing PML (Q) Mirpurkhas.

MIRPURKHAS Jan 30. Central executive committee of Sindh para medical staff welfare association has called upon the government to ensure ending of receiving service charges in government hospitals from poor patients. Meeting was held here on Saturday presided by its president Nazeer Ahmed Detho. Meeting expressed concern over the receiving of service charges from poor patients instead to provide medical treatment facilities and medicines free of cost. Meeting lauded the decision of secretary health for providing all dues of employees at the day of his retirement. Those attended the meeting including Syed Arshad Hussain Shah, Nazeer Qureshi, Akhtar Abbasi, Imamuddin Soomro, Ghulam Mohammad Kumbhar, Umer Dahri etc.

MIRPURKHAS Jan 28. Mithrao canal bridge of Umerkot road near Shadi Palli is posing serious threats to the vehicle passing over it as it had been in dilapidated condition and any time might be collapsed. Report said that ditches had been occurred at the Old bridge of Mithrao canal of Umerkot road while cracks had also been visible at its pillars and other structure as its mostly plaster had been removed from its structures at different places . It may be recalled that Umerkot road is the main road for traffic between Umerkot Mirpurkhas and Mirpurkhas chore. Pak Military and rangers caravans were traveled through this route to go to chore as well as Thar border areas. Heavy traffic including heavy loaded trailers and loaders were also passed over it. Concerned authorities should either repair it or reconstruct the bridge due to it’s badly condition. When contacted SDO provincial highway sub division Mirpurkhas Mir Ahsan Talpure and oversear Younus Ghori told that scheme Umerkot Mirpurkhas repair road including repair of dilapidated bridges has been approved under annual development plan ADP as repair work of the Umerkot Mirpurkhas road and repair of bridges were required and department had been prepared the scheme and sent it to the government that has been approved while repair work will be started as the government released the amount for this purpose.

MIRPURKHAS Jan 28. Judicial Magistrate Mirpurkhas 1, Ahmed Nawaz Dombki has conducted the raid at town police station here on Thursday and released youth Shakeel from lockup who was detained illegally without any case or entry in the official record of the town police station. Raiding magistrate has directed the SPO Mirpurkhas Mohammad Ayub Dars and SHO town Mir Mohammad Mangrio to appear in the sessions court on Friday Jan 29th along with official record of the police station. Mst. Majeedan through his council Ittihad advocate has submitted the application in the court of district and sessions court Mirpurkhas on Thursday morning in which she stated that she along with her son Shakeel was on her way after attending the hearing of his son that outside the premises of the court SPO city Mirpurkhas Mohammad Ayub Dars and SHO town Mir Mohammad Mangrio arrested her son without any complaint or FIR. She approached at police station town where the police officers demanded illegal gratification of RS 10000 for releasing her son, she added. She further said that if her son remained in their custody police officers would involved in the false case. She prayed before the honorable court to conduct surprise visit at town police station or direct the opponents to release her son as the police had apprehended him without any complaint or FIR outside the court premises when he was returning after attending the court. She further said that his life is in danger and so also provide the safety to her son. Sessions Judge appointed the raiding officer to judicial magistrate Mirpurkhas 1 for surprise visit of the town police station. When contacted SHO town Mir Mohammad Mangrio said that Shakeel was taken into custody as suspect and interrogation was made with him but release him when no recovery was made.  

MIRPURKHAS Jan 28. Leader of Jaffria alliance Allama Furqan Haider Abidi has threatened to observe protest throughout country if the innocent Azadaran Hussain arrested in Karachi incident were not released before Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain and said that all the processions would be stopped on the day of Chehlum. He was speaking at the workers of Jaffria alliance Mirpurkhas during his visit of Mirpurkhas here on Thursday. On this occasion divisional president of Jaffria alliance JA Allama Aijaz Sanjrani, district patron Farhat Hussain Abidi, district secretary information Sajjad Rind, Sagheer Naqvi etc were also present. Condemning the statement of federal minister for interior Rehman Malik, Allama Furqan Haider Abidi said that the ways of chehlum processions would not be changed at any cost. He accused that police and government are disappearing the real facts of Karachi incident and changing repeatedly their statements. Criticizing the CCPO Karachi, he said that CCPO had claimed that we would nab the real accused of this incident within a week but despite passing 28 days of the Karachi incident no any accused was yet captured. He alleged that oppressed and excesses are being made with them as our people were being detained and our people were Martyrds in the incident. He said that before participating in processions complete body search of the Azadaran were taken and government should investigate that after lighthouse why the disturbance was created. He demanded the government to show the face of persons who had arms in their hands and chemical and they were looting the government and private properties after arsoning them. He condemned the discriminate attitude of district government with Ahle Tashie and demanded to lift baseless bans from Asad Ali Naqvi and further demanded to arrest those elements had been damaged the Imam Bargah in Mirpurkhas.
 
MIRPURKHAS Jan 28. A young police constable of Mirpurkhas who had fortunately been escaped from crushing under the wheel of the Marvi express train about 50 days back but suffered fractures in leg and other injuries while saving the children playing at the railway track near under pass railway bridge was waiting of completion of promises of DPO Mirpurkhas and DCO Mirpurkhas. Report said that On Dec 9th , 2009 some children were playing at the railway track near railway under pass during this Marvi express train coming to Mirpurkhas from Hyderabad reached very near to the children, constable Muhabbat Unar son of Ghulam Nabi Unar, resident of village Bahadur Unar, deh 144, near 78 Mori, Sindhri taluka was giving his duty as saw the train very near to the train he moved towards the children in speed without caring his live, jumped at the track and saved the children but train passed over him. Those looking this scene including other constable and pedestrians stopped their breaths for some time and as the train passed they were expecting that above constable will be crushed to death under the wheels of the train but fortunately he was escaped from crushing however he sustained injuries including fractures in a leg etc. He was rushed to emergency of civil hospital where doctors provided him first aid. During this DPO Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Shaikh and DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon reached also at the hospital to inquire the condition of the constable while hundreds of citizens were also reached at the hospital on that occasion. Both officers talked with the injured constable and encouraging him, DPO announced RS 2 lakhs cash, police medal and promotion for him while DCO announced that all expenses of his treatment will suffer the district government. Report said that His operation was made in civil hospital on Dec 10th 2009 and on Dec 15th 2009 he was discharged from the hospital. Ghulam Ali Unar, father of the constable told the Dawn that no promise of the above two officers was yet fulfilled as he and his son were waiting of fulfilling of their vows. He said that medical treatment of his son was continued and he has yet been suffered expenses of over RS 1 lakh while no government official has been visited his village to know the condition of his son even no office bearer of any NGO has visited his village to see his son who had been saved the lives of children by pouring his live in danger. He demanded the government to ensure fulfillment of promises of the above officers without any delay.

MIRPURKHAS Jan 20. DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon has warned the XEN hesco Mirpurkhas division that case will be lodged against him if any loss or untoward incident was occurred in the city due to unscheduled load shedding and added that hesco authorities should implement on the schedule of load shedding fixed with the meeting of area control Hesco . He was presiding a high level meeting of stockholders held here on Wednesday at his office that was also attended by DPO Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Shaikh, Taluka Nazim Mirpurkhas Ghulam Dastageer Kamali, Mufti Shareef Saeedi, Moulana Sadiq Saeedi, Moulana Hafeezur Rehman Faiz, civil surgeon Dr Asghar Arain, president Anjuman Tajiran Mirpurkhas Aneesur Rehman Shaikh, general secretary Market committee Afaq Ahmed Mughal, ex president Mirpurkhas chamber of commerce and industry Abdul Khalique Khan, XEN hesco Mirpurkhas Malik Imtiazul Haq Awan and local journalists. He further said that businees community as well as common citizens were disappointed due to prolong unannounced load shedding while crime was increased and difficulties were being faced to regular supply of water in the city owing to prolong power outages. Taluka Nazim Ghulam Dastageer Kamali and president Anjuman Tajiran Mirpurkhas Aneesur Rehman Shaikh said that schedule of load shedding was decided in the meeting with area control Hesco was not implemented by hesco even load shedding time was increasing. DCO urged the XEN hesco Mirpurkhas to implement on the load shedding schedule for providing more than facilities to the citizens and ensure implementation on 6 hours load shedding in city and linking feeders and  8 hours load shedding in Hirabad and Satellite town feeders . DPO Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Shaikh said that load shedding be avoided between 8.30 PM to 10.30 PM. XEN hesco Malik Imtiazul Haq Awan assured the meeting that he will talk with hesco higher authorities and will ensure to implement on fixed schedule of load shedding in the Mirpurkhas division. All the stock holders assured the meeting of their complete cooperation.

MIRPURKHAS Jan 14. Provincial minister for agriculture Syed Ali Nawaz Shah has said that agriculture has status of backbone in the progress of the country for which present government is introducing different schemes for farmers sothat they could be rich. He was speaking at the key distribution ceremony of tractors among the successful farmers under Benazeer tractor scheme at Shaheed Benazeer Bhutto exhibition hall here on Thursday. He further said that PPP is providing jobs and basic facilities to the poor masses without any discrimination and hoped that in present tenure of the government problems of the masses would be resolved but it will take time so people should demonstrate of their patience. Minister said that tractors are being distributed to farmers under Benazeer tractor scheme of federal government. He said that different schemes are being launched in the province on behalf of Sindh government and 40 percent agriculture loan to small farmers having agriculture lands from 10 to 50 acres till would be given . Zonal incharge Zarri Tarraqiati bank Mirpurkhas  Iqbal Abbasi said that 559 tractors have yet been given to farmers in Mirpurkhas region and said that government is giving subsidy of RS 2 lakhs per tractor to farmers and added that installment of the tractor will be deposited after each 6 month which will be paid in 8 years under 17 installments. He told the amounts of different tractors as RS 857000 of Belarus tractor and RS 825000 of Messi Furgosan modal no 375. On this occasion senior vice president Zarri Tarraqiati Bank Islamabad Bilal Agha said that for providing modern knowledge regarding agriculture radio station is being established on behalf of Zarri Tarraqiati bank. On this occasion, DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon and DPO Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Shaikh and officers of agriculture department were also president. Later provincial minister has distributed keys of tractors to 35 farmers of Mirpurkhas region.

MIRPURKHAS Jan 13. Provincial minister for agriculture Syed Ali Nawaz Shah has said that PPP government is providing the jobs to jobless on merit while efforts are continued to resolve the grievances of the masses without any discrimination. He was speaking at the open Kachehry held here on Wednesday at Bhittai cultural hall. MPA Shamim Aara Panhwer, DCO Ghulam Hussain Memon, DPO Muneer Ahmed Shaikh, , district officers and officials, party workers and office bearers including women attended the open kachehry. The venue of open kachehry hall was packed or overcrowded with people and women even people were standing in the hall and exchanged hot words as result various times, speach of the minister was affected or interrupted . Minister further said that different programmes and schemes would be started for providing jobs to the jobless people. On the complaint of employees of national programme for improvement of water courses regarding depriving of their salaries and sacking from their jobs, minister said that he had been approached to federal government and officers of world bank  and with his personal efforts two years period of this project has been extended for further two years and assured that their due salaries would also be paid them soon. He further said that PPP is making efforts to resolve the problems of the Baloch community of Lyari, Karachi. People have demanded to establish agriculture university campus at Mirpurkhas and approval of SNE of cardiac ward of civil hospital Mirpurkhas while complained of shortage of irrigation water, prolong load shedding, starting the news schemes of suigas etc. Minister ordered the concerned officers to solve the problems of the people without any delay and received the application on the spot. He announced to give job to a disable tennage boy and son of a widow. Later, minister presided a meeting in Darbar hall about the reviewing of the development schemes of the district. Minister was briefed in detail about the ongoing and new development schemes. DCO, EDOs and district officers attended the meeting.

MIRPURKHAS Jan 13. Station house officer SHO Satellite town Mohammad Amin Junejo was placed suspend without any delay by DPO Mirpurkhas here on Tuesday night in charges of committing excesses with cameramen of a Sindhi TV channel . Report said that Aijaz and Sohail went to Satellite town police station for making footage of a detained accused who was tortured by the police that SHO Satellite town Mohammad Amin Junejo came into rash and snatched their camera and damaged it by throwing down while they were detained in the police station. After receiving information dozens of journalists and media men reached at the spot and staged sit in outside the police station. SP investigation Zafar Iqbal reached at the spot and released the detained cameramen while DPO Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Shaikh suspended the SHO and ordered the inquiry into this matter.

MIRPURKHAS Jan 12. On the call of Anjuman e Tajiran Mirpurkhas, complete strike was observed in the city here on Tuesday to protest against the growing incidents of crime and prolong load shedding in the city by Hesco. All the markets , shopping centers and bazaars including Hilal market, cloth market, Shahi Bazaar, municipal shopping center, electronic market, Sarafa bazaar, grain market, police shopping center, Khisak Pura, Mirwah road, Sir Syed road , M. A.Jinnah road, Hirabad, colony road, Iqbal road, Bhansinghabad, Satellite town etc remained close throughout day. During this \DPO Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Shaikh and XEN hesco Mirpurkhas division Malik Imtiazul Haq Awan have held negotiations with office bearers of Anjuman Tajiran Mirpurkhas including president Aneesur Rehman Shaikh, ex president Mirpurkhas chamber of commerce and industry MCCI Abdul Khalique Khan and Mirza Afaq Baig in which office bearers described that different FIRs of robbery and dacoities were lodged on behalf of traders but no accused was yet arrested as all the business community is feeling unsafely and further said that 14 to 16 hours daily prolong load shedding have been destroyed the business and created difficulties for common people. They demanded the DPO and XEN hesco Mirpurkhas to immediately take notice ensure arresting of involved culprits and reduce the timing of load shedding. Sources said that after discussion, DPO agreed that police personnels would be deployed in the markets and shopping centers on the directives of Anjuman e Tajiran Mirpurkhas to protest their lives and properties, involved culprits would be nabbed soon while XEN hesco agreed that now 7 to 8 hours load shedding will be made till end of this month after which 4 hours load shedding daily will be made in the city. After successful negotiations, office bearers of Anjuman e Tajiran Mirpurkhas have announced to end their strike and protest against
the district administration.

MIRPURKHAS Jan 12. Senior provincial minister for education Pir Mazharul Haq has said that nations have good educational standard were including among developed countries because education is only the way to resolve the all grievances. He was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of adult literacy center at village Doulat Leghari, taluka Mirpurkhas here on Monday evening. He further said that 95 adult educational centers were being opened in the district and added that 7000 adult educational centers would be open in the province. He further said that 200 schools of NCHD are being opened in the district with the financial help of UNICEF. Minister further said that after opening of above centers girls and boys of those backward areas as well as of adult could get education at their door steps. He appealed to those illiterate persons including women to get benefit of adult educational centers to raise their life standard. On this occasion DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon, EDO education, MPA Shamim Aara Panhwer and other officers were present.

MIRPURKHAS Jan 12.
Relatives of deceased Mohammad Usman , 3, son of Shehzad who had been killed after kidnapping by unknown persons some days back and relatives  , have taken out protest rally from Bhansinghabad to protest against the police failure to nab the real involved culprits and arresting of innocent youths. Protesters including women led by Kashif reached at local press club where they demanded the DPO Mirpurkhas to release the innocent arrested youths. Talking to newsmen protesters including kashif , Akmal and others deplored that Satellite town investigation police had arrested Azeem, Malik, Arshad and Anwer alias Guddo three days back and kept them in lockup while they were innocent and they were being tortured by the police. They said that Mohammad Usman, 3, was kidnapped by unknown persons and later strangled him despite demanding ransom. They accused of police for nabbing the innocent youths in the above matter instead to apprehend the genuine real culprits involved in the murder of the above child. They appealed the DPO Mirpurkhas to release the innocent persons without any delay and ensure arresting of the involved accused.

MIRPURKHAS Jan 12.
Speakers in a seminar have called upon the government functionary to implement on the bonded labour abolition act to give relief to the thousands of bonded labours in the country. They further said that sufficient work to abolish bonded labours was continued for last some years in the country but no fruitful result has yet been appeared while efforts are continued to make better relationship between peasants and landlords. They were speaking at the seminar on “bonded labour” held here on Tuesday under aegis of Sindh Rural partner organization SRPO with collaboration of Pakistan institute of labour education and research (PILER). Zahida Detho, coordinator of district NGO network Mirurkhas said that slavery is the new name of bonded labour and added that thousands of families of the country are affected adversely with it . She deplored that this disease is getting day by day progress in the country owing to old feudal and social
system while bonded labour abolition act was formed to end the bonded labour from the country. Dr Haider of Green rural development organization stressed need of practical measures for eliminating the bonded labour. he said that at this time 22 cror children of 5 to 17 years old are compelled to pass their life with strict hardworking in the world. Tariq Channa of PILER said that bonded labour might not be eliminated completely unless implementation is not on the bonded labour abolition act. Kanji Rano Bheel, chairman citizen action committee said that today also peasants are deprived of their rights even they were passing their life as bonded labour. He said that feudal system and bureaucracy are the main hurdle in the elimination of the bonded labour as under tenancy act, government officers are not taken action against the landlord who make excesses with peasants in their accounts and asked that there should be crop wise accounts process between
peasant and landlord . He hoped that with the support of media and civil society we would efforts for implementation on bonded labour abolition act to end the bonded labour from the country. Regarding the media role in highlighting bonded labours , Journalist Qamaruddin said that Mediamen are working in worst condition and under pressure in interior Sindh as no any journalist is ready to highlight the bonded labour in print media and newspapers in District Sanghar due to strong feudal system. He said that despite facing financial crises as mostly journalists were not being paid by their media institutions but working hard even highlighting the crimes and involved persons through newspapers and TV channels and they were also facing serious threats even some journalists were attacked by armed persons as example in Hyderabad , Mohammad Hussain, staff correspondent of Dawn was seriously injured in armed attack when he highlighted the facts in his news. He deplored that without any criteria, youths were coming in journalism field and mostly of them are not known properly about bonded labour so, NGOs should arrange awareness programme for journalists about bonded labour sothat they could write or highlight properly to bonded labour. He asked the peasants to send their children to schools sothat after getting education in future they could face the feudals bravely. Journalist Afaq Ahmed Khan said that all the journalists are ready to work with NGOs to eliminate the bonded labour. Those also spoke Mir Safdar, Haji Akhlaque, S.A.Khan and Abdul Rehman Sarhandi, activist of HRCP.
MIRPURKHAS Jan 11. Senior minister for education and literacy department Sindh Pir Mazharul Haq has said that there is a competition between government school s and private schools to provide more than facilities to the students and teachers and advised the administration of private schools to increase the fee of teachers and provide quality education and also ensured the training for their teachers. He further said that government schools and private schools management would have to pay important role to face the future challenges of new coming generation.  He was speaking as chief guest at the ceremony of distribution of registration certificates of private schools held here on Monday under all private schools management association district Mirpurkhas at auditorium of government modal college Mirpurkhas. DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon, EDO education, district officers, MPA Shamim Aara Panhwer, teachers including female teachers and officers attended the ceremony. He said that 2nd regional office for solutions of problems of private schools have been opened in Sindh at Mirpurkhas. He expressed that when his government came in power, about 7700 schools were closed in Sindh province after with efforts 1400 schools of them got open while 1700 schools are still in condition of autaqs and decided that their status of schools will be removed and cases would be lodged against those have their possession while possession holders should buy those buildings. He said that with the help of primary teachers association, civil society and citizens many closed schools were get open. He said that those school buildings are lying vacate due to non availability of children in the district would be utilized for welfare work. He said that we are facing difficulties to achieve target to provide education to each person till 2015 but due to fault in system we have sought the help of private school managements to get target , however, he added that private school management and it should provide reasonable fee to teachers. He asked to setup accountability process among the private schools otherwise private schools would be established in each street to collapse the quality education. He said that Sindh government had given RS 10 crors to each district government under Sindh education reforms to ensure basic facilities to the schools. He said that world bank was providing RS 8 Arabs each year loan with low interest in education department and asked the government to appoint the teachers on merit so we availed that loan and appointed teachers on merit in the province in benefit of education and coalition partner MQM is also cooperated in appointment of teachers on merit. He said that we had asserted with blood of Mohtarma Shaheed Benazeer Bhutto that we would appoint teachers on merit to promote education in the province. He said that we are providing facilities to students as free of cost books and now one time meal will be provided to students. He said that target killing in Karachi will be control as efforts are continued by coalition Sindh government. He advised the people to learn the different languages particularly Sindhi language sothat they could come near and added that all those residing in Sindh are brothers and should respect of each other. He said that cash prize and certificates would be distributed among those students of private schools who get more than marks in Sindhi subject. He said that he has visited the Tharparkar and Umerkot district and owing to negligence suspended Mohammad Qasim Qumbhar, assistant district education officer Umerkot and teacher Chakar Khan while issued show cause notice to Allah dad Memon, EDO education Umerkot for his absence. He further said that he has been suspended Assistant district education officer Tharparkar as he had been sent a clerk to Karachi for bringing the books of students instead to go himself for this purpose. Those also spoke the ceremony including MPA Shamim Aara Panhwer, regional director private schools education Khalid Hussain Shah and EDO education. Later chief guest distributed the registration certificates among the owners of private schools and shields among the office beares of district private school management association. Earlier provincial minister has inaugurated regional directorate private education Mirpurkhas.


MIRPURKHAS Jan 11. Strike was observed by electronic association Mirpurkhas here on Monday as all the electronic shops were closed at 3 PM in protest against the growing crime incidents including dacoities, robberies. While protest rally was taken out by Anjuman Tajiran Mirpurkhas on Monday evening from railway station chowk to protest against the growing crimes and prolong power load shedding in the city. Hundreds of protesters led by president Aneesur Rehman Shaikh and Ameen Memon , carried banners and placards marched through main roads and reached at municipal shopping center where speaking at the protesters Aneesur Rehman Shaikh, Ameen Memon, Majeed Shaikh and Abdul Khalique Khan have strongly condemned the district administration and XEN hesco for growing crime incidents and prolong load shedding of 14 to 18 hours daily. They deplored that business community is tax payers but XEN hesco Mirpurkhas is not respecting the tax payers even entered forcibly into their shops and houses. They said that 14 to 18 hours daily load shedding is being made in the city as result their business had been destroyed while hesco officials should make load shedding of 4 hours daily. They warned that if the administration did not arrest the culprits involved in dacoities and murder of Mohammad Usman, three years old child who was kidnapped during load shedding and killed by unknown armed persons till Monday night then strike will be observed in the city on Tuesday. They said that business community was adversely affected with growing crime incidents, mobile snatching, prolong load shedding etc. They demanded the Sindh government to take immediately notice and ensure proper action to control the crime and reducing the load shedding till 4 hours daily.

MIRPURKHAS Jan 10. Ex federal minister and PPP MNA Nawab Yousuf Talpure has said that no any family is there except Bhutto family who had given great sacrifices of lives including Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Murtuza Bhutto, Shaheed Shahnawaz Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazeer Bhutto for restoration of democracy in the country. He was speaking as chief guest at the gathering of 82nd birth anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto held here on Sunday under Peoples Hari committee district Mirpurkhas at Bhittai cultural hall. On this occasion MPA Shamim Aara panhwer, president PPP ladies wing city Mirpurkhas Fatima Baloch and others were also present. Nawab Yousuf Talpure further accused that dictator Zia ul Haq had hanged to Zulfikar Ali Bhutto with understanding that now nobody will take name of Bhutto family but Benazeer Bhutto launched the struggle of his later father and during this his both brothers were killed and then under international conspiracies, Benazeer Bhutto was also gunned down by unknown armed assailants two years back. He deplored that despite inquiry of united nation, no result even no culprit was yet arrested as two years of the murder of Benazeer has approximately been completed. He said that people are unrest and painful and wanted to be nabbed the culprits of murder of Benazeer Bhutto. He said that uncertainty is prevailed in the country and nobody know where the bomb blasted. He said that PPP is the federal party and its struggle will remained continue till solutions of the problems of the masses. Earlier cake was cutted by chief guest and other leaders.

To express solidarity with president Asif Ali Zardari, a rally was taken out by PPP ladies wing Mirpurkhas division here on sunday from house of PPP MPA Shamim Aara Panhwer that was participated by hundreds of women. PPP senator Gull Mohammad latt has said that  despite having in majority PPP included other parties in the government in the interest of the country and added that whenever PPP come in government then conspirators were activated to damage its government. He expressed that some powers are busy to break the unity between PPP and MQM but their intentions would be fail and unity of PPP and MQM will remained continue. He said that false cases were lodged against Asif Ali Zardari in previous and Millions of rupees also were expended on their investigation but all those cases were proved false and fabricated. He said that conspiracies have been occurring in each tenure of the PPP even government of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Mohtarma Shaheed Benazeer Bhutto were removed through conspiracies and now conspiracies are being hatched against President Asif Ali Zardari. He claimed that during recently target killing at Karachi activists of PPP and MQM were shot dead. He expressed his grief and sorrow over the recent killing of PPP and MQM workers during target killing at Karachi. He said that measures were being taken to clean Karachi from arms. In reply a question, he said that not only Pakistan, price hike is also problem of other countries of the world but Awami government is making efforts to control the price hike. He said that PPP has given jobs to jobless persons during two years that is a record and youths were given training under Benazeer Shaheed development programme while thousands of poor families were supported under Shaheed Benazeer support programme.

Hundreds of people of Baloch community under the banner of Baloch Ittihad have taken out protest rally from railway station chowk here on Sunday to protest against killing of Baloch in Liari, Karachi. Rally was led by chief organizer Faqeer Yaqoob Baloch, Siddique Baloch and others , carried banners and placards, marched through main roads and reached at local press club where speaking at the protesters, Yaqoob Baloch said that Genocide of Baloch community was started from Balochistan and reached till Karachi but said that Baloch is a brave nation and they are peaceful but Baloch were being termed terrorists . He said that Baloch nation will not bear any kind of assassination of Baloch people and added that we are not against government but we came on roads for safety of Baloch people. He strongly condemned the target killing of Baloch in Liari, Karachi. He assured the Baloch people of Karachi that they are with them in critical time.He demanded the stoppage of Genocide of Baloch nation and culprits involve in target killing of Baloch be arrested and punish them exemplary.
MIRPURKHAS Jan 9. Over a dozen sacked employees of education department who had been recruited in 1998 in the district have observed token hunger strike here on Saturday in front of local press club demanding the government to reinstate them as their others colleagues had been reinstated at their jobs few years back . Those observed the token hunger strike including Manzoor Ahmed Maher, Abbas Leghari, Javed Khan, Ghulam Qadir, Nazeer Ahmed etc. Talking to newsmen they deplored that government had been sacked the employees of education department who had been recruited in 1998 but mostly of them had been reinstated by the government and they are total 40 employees who could not be reinstated due to unknown causes. They said that they belong to mostly Digri taluka while regretted that previous government injusted with them and at that time they had launched protest campaign in which present federal minister for inter provincial relation , present PPP MPA Shamim Aara panhwer , MPA Mir Mehboob Talpure and others had promised with them that in tenure of their government they would be provided justice by reinstating them but still their promises were not fulfilled. They demanded the government to reinstate them without any delay as they were facing financial crisis. They said that their token hunger strike will remained continue till acceptance of their demands.

MIRPURKHAS Jan 9. PPP MPA Shamim Aara Panhwer has said that Shaheed Benazeer Bhutto had dream that women should progress in every department including health, politics and sports activities. She was speaking at the gathering of women under 19 district cricket team training camp held here on Saturday. She said that women should come forward in every ground to perform their best efficiency. She said that women are not less than men while women could walk along with men and added that there was need of strict hardworking for women sothat they could come forward. Secretary district cricket association Mirpurkhas Wahid Hussain Pahelwani said that women under 19 cricket tournaments is being held here first ever to promote the women sports activities. He said that 12 talented girls would b selected in this tournament. On this occasion, secretary district women cricket association Ms Rozina , senior director physical education Shamim Zaidi, PET Ms Shahida, president drugs association Ch Mohammad Rafique Amir, Atif Baloch , Aslam Qureshi and Anwarul Haq were also present.

MIRPURKHAS Jan 8. Chundija flour mill has been fined RS 40000 by the DDO revenue taluka Mirpurkhas and special judicial magistrate and FCM Mirpurkhas Ammara Aamir Khattak here on Friday following finding in raid of the above special magistrate that adulteration of substandard Tota rice was being made in grinding of the wheat for selling the substandard flour. It may be recalled that on Thursday above special magistrate on a secret information had carried out raid on the above flour mill and caught red handed that over a thousand bags of substandard Tota rice were lying in the factory while substandard rice was being adulterated with wheat flour . Samples of the substandard rice and flour were taken by the food inspector Mirpurkhas Mocharo Mangrio for chemical testing in the laboratory. Food inspector Mocharo Mangrio told that samples were being sent to food laboratory at Hyderabad for testing and hoped that after 10 days its report will be received.Special magistrate Ammara Aamir Khattak told the newsmen that she has planned to conduct raid at the other flour mills to check the adulteration in flour. She said that food department should take legal action against the above flour mill, while she added that she has been asked the administration of Chundija flour mill to replace the lying substandard rice bags from the flour mill within 24 hours otherwise she will sealed the mill in other charges. Sources said that other flour mills after this action of special magistrate have been replaced the rice bags from their mills to other places to save them from legal action.

MIRPURKHAS Jan 8. At least 10 houses of peasants in village Rais Hashim Bhurgari, deh 232, taluka Kot Ghulam Mohammad were completely gutted when fire was broke out in a house during preparation of tea on Friday morning. Report said that fire engulfed the surrounding houses as result inmates saved only their lives while dozens of cattles including cows, goats and sheeps were burnt to death. While over 200 wheat stocks and house articles were also burnt to ashes. Villagers have extinguished the fire with hectic efforts of various hours on the base of self help basis. No government official was yet reached at the spot till filing of this news. Following are the affected peasants including Badal Khaskheli, Noro Khaskheli, Ajyo Kolhi, and Khano Kolhi, kestoro Kolhi, Pato Kolhi, Ponjo Kolhi and Bhemoon Kolhi.

MIRPURKHAS Jan 8. Ameer Jamaat e Islami Mirpurkhas Zafar Iqbal Mujahid has said that the arsoning of thousands of shops on Ashura day at Karachi and their looting by the terrorists was in fact an attack on the security of Pakistan. He was speaking at the protest demonstration of JI Mirpurkhas held here on Friday outside Baitul Mukarram mosque . JI leader Lala Noor Mohammad said that anti Pakistani powers were making efforts to destabilize the country by their terrorist activities. He accused that black water, CIA and RAW were active in Pakistan and involved in terrorism activities. He demanded the government to fix the accused of Karachi incident and punish them exemplary, while compensation be paid to heirs of deceased and injured and affected shopkeepers.

Dozens of newly appointed employees of education department college site have taken out protest rally here on Thursday from office of regional director colleges Mirpurkhas to protest against government failure to pay their due 11 months salary . They were demanding the government to issue their salaries without any delay and stop the further appointments in the education department colleges’ side. They reached at local press club where talking to newsmen their leader Nazar Ali Rahimoon and others  deplored that government is recruiting in education department instead to pay their due salaries of 11 months. They warned that if their salaries were not paid them within three days then protest circle will be extended throughout province.

MIRPURKHAS Jan 1. Protest demonstration was held by Jamaat e Islami Mirpurkhas here on Friday after Jumma prayer outside Madina Masjid in protest against the suicide attack in procession of Ashura at Karachi and looting the thousands of shops and arsoning them. Speaking at the protesters caretaker Ameer JI Azizur Rehman and Mohammad Rafique have said that those had planned of suicide attack in Karachi are the agents of India and USA and they wanted to create sectarian violence in the country. They deplored that there was inefficiency of Karachi administration in the looting of thousands of shops and aresoning them by miscreants as 25000 people were deprived of their livelihood. They said that religious leaders bid foiled to create sectarian violence by their great responsibilities. They said that chief justice of Supreme Court should take suo moto notice into this matter and uncover those criminals involved in this incident by judicial investigation.They said that government should fix the responsible of this incident and brought them to law to ensure exemplary their punishment because the terrorists were under strong shelter of USA, they accused. They demanded the government to give compensations to heirs of deceased of this incident and provide complete treatments free of cost to injured and also provide the compensations to traders who had suffered big losses.

MIRPURKHAS Jan 1. Complete shutter down strike was observed here on Friday on the call of Sunni Rehbar council to protest against the suicide attack in procession of Ashura, looting and arsoning of thousands of shops at Karachi. Strike was also supported by Altaf Hussain, leader of MQM. All the markets , shopping centers , bazaars including M.A.Jinnah road, Shahi Bazaar, Khisak Pura, police line shopping center, electronic market, Umerkot road, Gharibabad road, Sir Syed road, Hirabad, colony road, ring road, Satellite town, cloth market, Sarafa Bazaar, Hilal market, hotels, petrol pumps and CNG service centers remained closed. On this occasion, strict security arrangements were made by the district administration Mirpurkhas as police personnel were deployed at main chowks, roads, sensitive areas and buildings and entry and exit ways of the city to avert any untoward incident. Report received that complete strike was also observed in Mirwah Gorchani,Digri, Tando Jan Mohammad, Jhuddo, Naokot, Kot Ghulam Mohammad, Jhilori, Khaan, etc.

Joint meeting of National press club Mirpurkhas and Mirpurkhas union of journalist MUJ has strongly condemned the armed attack on the senior journalist of daily dawn Mohammad Hussain Khan in Hyderabad by unknown activists of Sindh national front SNF and demanded the government to immediately arrest the involved culprits and punish them exemplary. They said that it was the conspiracy to create sectarian violence in the main city Karachi but masses have made it fail with their unity and brotherhood. They expressed their heartily sympathy with those had been affected with this incident as they suffered lives and property losses. They said that Yazedi powers have always been getting defeat before the supporters of Hussainiat.Meanwhile , senior vice president Awami National party district Mirpurkhas Raza Mohammad Khan, general secretary Aijaz Shah and others in a joint press statement issued here on Thursday, have strongly condemned the suicide attack on the Ashura procession in Karachi and said that anti Muslim powers are wanted to create the sectarian violence in the country. They said that Ulama e Karam should play their massive role for peace and unity of the Muslims in the country. They said that despite strict security arrangements how the miscreants succeeded to arson the shops and other properties in Karachi. They said that all the people have expressed their solidarity with affected people to observe complete strike and mourn. They demanded the president, prime minister, federal interior minister, chief of army staff and chief justice of Pakistan to order an impartial inquiry into this matter by establishing the impartial judicial commission and ensure payments of
compensations to the affected shopkeepers.

A rally was taken out by different organizations of Shia sect here on Thursday from Makhan Shah Imam Bargah to condemn the terrorism and act of sucide attack on the procession of Ashura and arsons the shops and looting the shops at Karachi. They demanded the government to provide the compensations to heirs of martyrds of this incident as equal of compensation of deceased ploceman or Ranger personnel. They further demanded the government to provide the compensation to the shopkeepers also who suffered big losses.

Jeay Sindh Tehreek national congress meeting has decided to celebrate the next year 2010 as for struggle of solutions of party and public problems , political advertisement and ideological education . Chairman Sindh Tarraqi Passand Party Dr Qadir Magsi has said that suicide bomb blast in procession of Ashura at Karachi was a preplan conspiracy and after this incident miscreants looted the shops and arson the shops in which activists of terrorist organization were involved. He was talking to newsmen here on Thursday after condolence with ex MNA Syed Qurban Ali Shah on the sad demise of his little brother. He accused that same terrorists were involved in May 12, and April 19 Karsaz incident. Remnants of pervez Musharraf including terrorists and anti Sindh powers are coalition partners of Sindh government. He demanded the government to order the impartial inquiries of terrorists’ activities being made in Karachi with transparency and constitute a committee of honest judges of Supreme Court for impartial inquiry. On this occasion, Dr Soomar Mangrio, Darya Khan Maher, Ayaz Khaskheli, Riaz Jalbani and others were also present.
