MIRPURKHAS March 29. Director food department Sindh Aftab Ahmed Memon has said that wheat procurement campaign was continued with full swing in the province as 10 lakhs wheat bags have sofar been procured in the Sindh province out of its target of 12500000 to 15000000 wheat bags . He was talking to the newsman here on Monday. He further said that wheat procurement centers had already been setup in the districts and target of wheat procurement was also fixed of each district, while concerned officials are providing the gunny bags (Bardana) to the growers in their limits. He said that 30 lakhs wheat bags was target to procure wheat crop in districts Mirpurkhas, Umerkot and Sanghar and sofar 5 lakhs wheat bags have been purchased while fixed money on behalf of government was being paid on the spot to the wheat growers of their crop . He said that half of the Sindh wheat procurement target was received the gunny bags (Bardana) for distribution among the growers. He said that we are arranging more quantity of gunny bags (Bardana) to achieve the target of wheat procurement in the province. He hoped that we will acquire the target of wheat procurement in the province as per directives of government. 

MIRPURKHAS March 29. Additional sessions Judge Mirpurkhas ii has ordered to free the recovered 10 bonded labours including women and children following recording their statements here on Monday. Report said that Jaman Bheel had been submitted the application in the court of district and sessions court Mirpurkhas complaining that his family members total 10 persons were in illegal confinement of landlord Wazeer Mari, in the limit of Phuladyyoon police while they were being forced to take labour work without paying their livelihood. He said that they were deprived of their share in the crops even they were not allowed to move freely. He requested the court to order the concerned SHO to carry out raid and recover them from illegal captivity. On the directives of court, SHO Phuladyyoon carried out raid at the land of above landlord on Sunday morning and released 10 detained bonded labours , while they were produced by the police in the court of additional sessions Judge Mirpurkhas ii.

MIRPURKHAS March 21. President Jeay Sindh Tehreek (JST) Dr Mir Alam Mari has announced to merge his party into Jeay Sindh Quami Mahaz (Abdul Wahid Arisar group). This announcement was made in a press conference here on Sunday. On this occasion, other office bearers of his party including senior vice president Meer Hasan Piarani, vice president Dr Aanand, general secretary Mashooq Ali Bhambhro, deputy secretary Rano Rabeel, finance secretary Saeed Mangi, information secretary Amir Jokhio and Ali Hassan Chandio advocate were also present. He said that our talks were continued since last 4 months while during this they jointly settled positively all the controversial issues. He further said that he consulted with all workers and office bearers of JST and then decided unanimously in favour of merger. He announced that from today JST is ceased to exist and all our workers and well wishes will the part of JSQM (Arisar group) and we show our full confidence in the leadership of Mr. Abdul Wahid Arisar, chairman JSQM. He expressed that we will continue our struggle for our national liberation and continues our efforts to unite all other groups of Jeay Sindh Movement.

MIRPURKHAS March 21. Nominated accused of murder case was rounded up by Kot Ghulam Mohammad police in raid on Saturday late night. Report received that incharge investigation Kot Ghulam Mohammad police Mohammad Sabir Kaim Khani on a tip off, conducted raid near 10 mile Mori and captured one of the nominated accused Zaheer Gorchani , who was wanted to police in charges of killing his wife. Ms Shahida Gorchani by torturing and forcing her to drink the pesticide. Another nominated accused Haroon Gorchani was still at large, who is the father of arrested accused Zaheer Gorchani. KGM police told that they were conducting the raids at suspected places to nab him. It may be recalled that Mohammad Yaqoob Gorchani, father of deceased had been lodged the murder case with KGM police station, accusing that his daughter Ms Shahida Gorchani was tortured and forced her to drink the pesticide by above accused.
 
MIRPURKHAS March 21. President PML (F) city Mirpurkhas Saeed Ahmed Hashmi and general secretary Nisar Ahmed Siddique have rejected the recently announced city organization committee. In a joint press statement issued here on Sunday, they accused that contractor mafia had been hatches deep conspiracies against the senior Muslim league workers who have been paying their services at different offices while they added that they were forced to leave the party but they asserted that senior workers of the Muslim league would not leave the party even they would support Hazrat Pir Sahab Pagara till their last breath.
 
MIRPURKHAS March 21. Two motor cyclists were seriously injured when their bike was hit by a speedy car at Mirwah Gorchani Mirpurkhas road near village Makhan Sammoon here on Sunday. Report said that injured Ali Hassan and Khadim Hussain Banglani were brought at emergency of civil hospital Mirpurkhas where they were provided first aid and later they were referred for LMUH Hyderabad due to their precarious condition.
 
MIRPURKHAS March 21. On the directives of Sindh high court Hyderabad circuit bench, Amir Bhatti, SHO Old Mirpur carried out raid at the lands of Landlord Nazeer Ahmed Baloch in the limit of Old Mirpur police station here on Sunday and recovered 18 bonded labours (peasants ) including women and children from that farm land. Old Mirpur police told the media that Yameen Bheel had been submitted application in the Sindh high court Hyderabad circuit bench in which he had complained that his 18 relatives were detained at the land of the above landlord in the limit of Old Mirpur police station, district Mirpurkhas while they were not allowed to move freely. He further alleged that they were not getting their livelihood by the landlord. He requested the honorable court to issue order to concerned SHO to get released bonded labours. Police further said that released 18 bonded labours would be produced in the Sindh high court Hyderabad circuit bench on Monday March 22.

MIRPURKHAS March 15. At least 14 Afghan foreigners were arrested in raid by Satellite town police here on Monday. Report said that on a tip off, Satellite town police carried out raid at Bhansinghabad and apprehended 14 Afghan foreigners and recovered from their possession Afghan camp cards. Satellite town police have lodged the case under section 14 foreign act against them.
 
MIRPURKHAS March 15. Members national assembly reserved seats of Muttehda Quami Movement MQM Fozia Aijaz Khan, Naheed Shahid Ali and MPA Heer Soho have said that the all the funds of MNAs of reserves seats of female MQM had been utilized throughout Sindh province particularly where there is no chance nearly to win any seat of assembly by MQM and it was all made on the directives of leader Altaf Hussain as he wanted to resolve all the grievances of the masses living also in rural areas and far flung areas of the Sindh province. Speaking at a joint press conference here on Monday at local MQM zonal office Mirpurkhas. They said that all their funds were utilized for schemes of development works including construction of metallic roads, water tanks, community halls, water supply schemes, electrification etc. They deplored that unfortunately funds of Sindh government were not properly utilized even they were mostly lapsed. They said that millions of rupees of their funds were utilized in the district Mirpurkhas and added that they had acquired extra funds for development works. They said that we given only development schemes and government institutions were implemented on their schemes. They said that they were working under the vision of leader Altaf Hussain. They further said that we would held further press conferences in other parts of the Sindh to apprise the people regarding utilization of the millions of funds in interior Sindh including Gambat, Shahdadpur, Larkana, Mirpurkhas etc. In a reply a question, MPA Heer Soho hoped that local body election will be held in Sindh and MQM will take part in election massively.
 
MIRPURKHAS March 15. Traders have shutter down in Digri town here on Monday morning following a dacoity committed by 6 armed dacoits in a shop of jeweler while police have apprehended four involved accused and recover vehicles and looted gold ornaments. Report said that 6 unknown armed persons reached at Sarafa bazaar in Digri town on two stolen bikes that were stolen from Mirpurkhas and entered into the jewelary shop of Seth Chundi Ram. They made hostage to all inmates of the shop and looted gold ornaments weight 45 tola and three and half lakhs cash and made heavy aerial firing before fleeing from there on their bikes. DPO Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Shaikh immediately ordered to cordon off the area. While traders have closed their shops in the protest in Digri town. Report received that dacoits had left their bikes and boarded in a car and then another car while near Tando Ghulam Ali police have apprehended four involved dacoits identified as Nadeem Shaikh, Shahid Shahani, Afzal Ali and Shakeel Ahmed during police checking of the vehicles. Police have recovered cash, gold ornaments, a stolen bike, a vehicle and unlicensed arms from their possession. Police said that all the involved dacoits belong to Larkana and Jacobabad. DPO Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Shaikh told this correspondent that owing to prompt effective measures of police four dacoits have been rounded up while hoped that remaining two their accomplices would soon be nabbed as police parties were searching them at their suspected places. Sources said that escaped two dacoits were identified as Fauji Jalbani and Nadir Shah. Case has been lodged under section 324, 395, 17/3, and 6/7 Anti terrorism act ATA with Digri police station against the above accused on the complaint of Chundi Ram Lohano.
 
MIRPURKHAS March 15. A five years old boy was seriously injured when parts of plaster of the roof of his house fell down upon him at Satellite town here on Monday. Report said that Haneef, 5, son of Mohammad Aslam was brought in serious condition with serious head injuries in emergency of civil hospital where he was provided first aid and then referred for LMUH Hyderabad due to precarious condition.
 
MIRPURKHAS March 15. A teenager girl was brought along with bullet wounds in emergency ward of civil hospital Mirpurkhas here on Monday night from Siaal colony. Initial report said that unknown person shot Ms Rani, 18, d/o Nazeer Bhatti, resident of Siaal colony, injured while she was in serious condition and doctors were providing her medical treatment in emergency ward.

MIRPURKHAS March 14. Jamaat e Islami Ameer Mirpurkhas Lala Noor Mohammad has accused that famous terrorist organization Black water is in back of killing of Ulama e Karam in day light at Karachi and terrorist activities at Lahore and added that it is the deep conspiracy against the country to destabilize it and creating sectarian violence. He was speaking at the protest demonstration held here on Sunday by JI Mirpurkhas at Hameed pura colony chowk to protest against killing of Ulama e Karam and terrorist activities at Lahore. General secretary Abo Maaz and district leader Azizur  Rehman and Ahsan Illahi alleged that Ulmas killing at Karachi and terrorist activities at Lahore are the proofs of government failure and disturb law and order situation of the country is the slab on the face of government’s rit . They said that if the government could not provide the protection to lives and properties of the masses then it should itself be resigned. They demanded the government to leave the reconciliation and benefits politics and order the impartial inquiries of all those incidents and punish exemplary to those involve in target killing.
 
MIRPURKHAS March 14. Trade union rights campaign Pakistan has strongly condemned the registration of fabricated cases under anti terrorism act against the members of Mirpurkhas action committee including Asghar Narejo. Meeting of TURCP was held here which formed five members committee comprising secretary Nisar Ahmed Siddique, members Hameed Channa, Taj Baloch, Malik Shakeel and Nusrat to organize progressive workers federation in Sindh particularly in Mirpurkhas. According to a press release issued here on Sunday. Meeting deplored that armed persons of religious parties have forced the shopkeepers to close the shutters in the city during last two days but it was strange for them that city administration remained silence while on the other hand false cases under section anti terrorism act were lodged by city administration against the members of Mirpurkhas action committee particularly Asghar Narejo on the peaceful strike call in the city. 

MIRPURKHAS March 14. Chief executive Sindh rural partner organization SRPO Zahida Detho has called the philanthropists and donner agencies to come forward to help in rehabilitation of released bonded labours locally in their areas where they could live with basic facilities and get also labour work. She was talking to newsmen here on Sunday at local press club. She told that bonded labour issue belong to mostly Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Tharparkar and Sanghar districts as more than schedule caste people were working in agriculture field as peasant and Hari there while she appreciated the judiciary which is releasing them from the clutches of the landlords. She expressed that detained peasants and farmers were approached with local courts for releasing from alleged illegal confinements and court ordered to concerned police for producing them in the court. She deplored that following releasing through courts released bonded labours including women and children go to Hari camps at Hyderabad where no basic facility was available as result they were compelled to live like forest animals there . She said that they are human being and have complete rights to live like human being with basic facilities. She further accused that they were deprived of livelihood as no labour work was provided them in Hari camp at Hyderabad as result they were compelled to approach to other landlords. She further alleged that they were also sold to landlords for resuming their previous life in illegal captivity. She stressed need of their rehabilitation locally in their areas. She urged the philanthropists and donner agencies to immediately visit the Mithi, district Tharparkar where displaced about a hundred farmers including women and children living in open sky as they were forcibly displaced by Wadera from their village, taluka Mithi. She asked that all such released peasants could be rehabilitated locally with the help of donners and philanthropists.

MIRPURKHAS March 6. To overcome the problem of illegal encroachments at main roads in the city , DDO revenue taluka Mirpurkhas has been issued the notices to over a hundred illegal encroachers who had been established illegal encroachments at Sir Syed road, Khisak Pura, Gaoshala road etc . When contacted DDO revenue taluka Mirpurkhas Ammara Aamir Khatak told that following receiving the complaints by citizens as well as various associations regarding the illegal encroachments, she has been issued the notices of seven days for removal the illegal encroachments. She further said that no any woman and man could walk in Khisak Pura and added that streets of the Khisak Pura were occupied by illegal encroachers and all such kind of encroachments would be removed to clear the streets. She said that land mafia had sold the government land to people for establishing the illegal encroachments. She said that she was accompanied by officials of TMA Mirpurkhas during her visit of the roads and streets of the city. She appealed the citizens to cooperate with officials to remove the illegal encroachments in the city.
 
MIRPURKHAS March 6. Three cases have been lodged with town police station here on Saturday in connection of arsoning of a passenger bus, shops in old Lunda Bazaar and a general store. Report said that Zahir Shah Pathan lodged the case with town police station accusing that unknown persons set on fire the shops in Old Lunda bazaar and a chiken shop as result owners suffered about RS 5 lakhs. Abdul Hakeem, resident of Umerkot has registered the case, accusing that unknown persons set on fire the passenger bus of Mir Saleem company no 955388 that was parked near railway station Mirpurkhas as result whole bus was ablaze. Zubair Ahmed, resident of Lalchandabad lodged the case in which accused that Ahmed Bikaneri had set on fire his general store as result he suffered over RS 30000. It may be recalled that accused Ahmed Bikaneri was already arrested by town police on Friday morning.
 
MIRPURKHAS March 6. PPP Sindh ladies wing organizer Parveen Basheer Kaim Khani has said that she is making efforts to resolve the differences created among the office bearers and workers of the party after murder of senior worker Ali Akbar Panhwer here and in this connection she is approaching to federal minister for inter provincial relation Pir Aftab Hussain Shah Jilani and MNA and district president Mir Munawar Ali Khan Talpure for holding joint meeting to resolve the issue of death of worker Ali Akbar Panhwer. She was talking to local newsmen here on Saturday at circuit house. She further said that she is visiting the all districts of the province to reorganize the ladies wing through out province. She expressed that more than women even young girls are joining the party and added that president PPP government has been given more than jobs to jobless people without any discrimination while co chairman of the party Asif Ali Zardari had been launched the different aid programmes for poor women in the country including Youth training programme, Shaheed Benazeer income support programme, houses for homeless poor women. In reply the questions, she said that Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had first time been given representation to women in assemblies. She said that reorganization work of ladies wing had been completed at Karachi, and work of Mirpurkhas division will be completed within a day. She said that PPP will take part in local body election along with coalition partners and added that his party will sweep in coming local body election in the country.
 
MIRPURKHAS March 6. President Atta Chaki association district Mirpurkhas Abdul Rasheed Abbasi, general secretary Malik Nadeem Ahmed and vice president Abdul Hameed Khan have accused that district food controller Mirpurkhas receiving alleged bribe RS 20 per bag of wheat from chaki owners for issuance them wheat bags while he , they alleged that had been involved to smuggle the wheat bags in big quantity from here through private persons after receiving big commission . They were talking to newsmen at local press club here on Saturday. They told that record procurement of wheat about over 8 lakhs wheat bags were made in Mirpurkhas region in season of 2009 and government announced its liberal policy and ended the quota system. However, they added that district food controller Mirpurkhas Nasrullah Chandio took illegal benefit of this government’s policy and started to receive RS 50 to 100 per bag from chaki owners for issuance them 100 wheat bags. They said that DFC with the help of clerk Shabab Akhtar had been missing the challan farms of the chaki owners and then on the base of those missing many challan farms DFC sold more than quantity of wheat bags to flour mills and involved also in trade of wheat bags as result mostly godowns at Hingorno, Digri, Kot Ghulam Mohammad, Jhuddo, Samaro, Tando Jan Mohammad, Pithoro, Dhoro Naro, Naokot, Umerkot, Nabisar etc have been empty . They said that DFC had been issued lakhs of wheat bags but there was not so many consumption of wheat or flour in this region as result flour crisis will be created here. They alleged that due to behave and corruption of the DFC, small chaki owners are disturbed and disappointed. They demanded the president Asif Ali Zardari and prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani to take immediately notice of corruption and order an impartial inquiry regarding issuance of more than wheat bags from this region against no having so much consumption of wheat or flour in the region, otherwise they would be compelled to launch protest campaign against the food department.
