MIRPURKHAS Oct 17. A villager was seriously injured when he tried to separate the some persons involved in scuffle here on Sunday at Khan Naka chowk in the limit of Town police station. Report said that Villager Wahid Bux Mari, resident of Deh 112, taluka Mirpurkhas was standed at the Khan Naka chowk where scuffle occurred between some persons on petty matter. He tried to separate them but he during this received bullet injury, rushed to civil hospital where he was provided first aid. Report added that injured sustained wound of bullet in chest as result his condition was serious. Later, he was referred to Liaqat Medical University hospital Hyderabad owing to his serious condition. Town police carried out raids and apprehended about 5 suspected accused whose names could not be ascertained. However no case of this incident was registered with concerned police station till filing of the news.

 

MIRPURKHAS Oct 17. Chief Editor of local weekly Paigham e Sindh newspaper was fortunately saved from kidnapping attempt in the limit of Satellite town police station here on Saturday night. Chief editor Ali Jan Bhatti, son of ex senior journalist and member APNS Dost Ali Bhatti told the newsmen that he was on his way to house that in front of Waseem English coaching center, in Satellite town accused Saleem Arain and his two unknown accomplices carrying arms intercepted him warned that why he was writing news against them , while, he added that he refused to write against them but they warned that if next time he will publish news against them they would kill him. He said that accused also tried to kidnap him on gun point but he offered resistance during this accused escaped away from the spot. He said that he has been submitted application to SHO town for taking legal action against the involved culprits in this regard. Meanwhile, a joint emergent meeting of National press club Mirpurkhas, Mirpurkhas Union of Journalist MUJ and Sindh Sahafi Sangat has strongly condemned the attempt to kidnap of journalist and demanded the DIG Mirpurkhas and DPO Mirpurkhas to take immediate notice and ensure arresting of the involved culprits. Speaking at the meeting Mohammad Hashim Shar said that accused Saleem Arain in past had also been attempted to kidnap the senior local journalist Sajjad Rind and Cameraman Zeeshan Khan and FIR was lodged with Satellite town police station but deplored that police demonstrating anti journalist enmity did not nab the accused and now criminal Saleem Arain attempted to kidnap another journalist Ali Jan Bhatti and made also murderous attack. Meeting passed unanimously resolution demanding the Sindh chief minister, provincial advisor to Sindh chief minister for information to ensure arresting of the involved accused in the attempt to kidnap offence and provide protection to the journalist Ali Jan Bhatti.
