MIRPURKHAS Aug 30. Following the heavy rainfall in the district also like other areas of the country, all the 16 cotton and ginning factories have started their season and purchasing the cotton crop from cotton growers, however complaints also received of illegal deduction of the 1 kilogramme cotton from per maund cotton by ginners . Report said that cotton and ginning factories had been halted their function during the heavy rainfall, however now cotton ploughing has been intensified after being dry the agriculture lands and crop was being transported to cotton and ginning factories. Owing to short supply of cotton its rate has been increased from RS 2300 per maund to RS 2675 per maund. District officer agriculture extension Mirpurkhas Yar Mohammad Khaskheli said that there was fixed target of 40000 hectors for cotton sowing this year but unfortunately owing to acute shortage of water in the district cotton was sowed at 34000 hectors . However due to heavy rainfall cotton crop suffered 15 percent damages. He said that department had been received the complaints regarding the illegal deduction of 1 kilogram cotton per maund by the ginners on account of moisture or any other reason and added that this practice is not only illegal but due to it the growers suffer financial losses. He further said that keeping in view the growers grievances regarding the matter on the last year’s pattern department had constituted a four member committee comprising chairman district officer agriculture extension Mirpurkhas, members representative of Sindh abadgar board, representative of Sindh chamber of agriculture and representative of Pakistan cotton ginners association. He told that after receiving the complaints he convened the meeting of the above committee in which he warned the cotton ginners not to illegal deduct of one kilogramme cotton per maund on the pretext of moisture and added that if he found guilty during the surprise visit of the cotton ginning factories he will take action against guilty cotton factory as per provision of cotton control act 1966. He advised the cotton growers to submit him complaint against the cotton factory deducting illegally the 1 kilogramme of cotton per maund for taking legal action. 
 
MIRPURKHAS Aug 30. EDO health Mirpurkhas Dr Shafqat Hussain Dahri has said that due to expected spreading diseases after recently Monsoon rainfall  health department had been taken massive effective measures in the district to save the people from diseases and added that ORS and Puritab were being distributed in the district through lady health workers and other medical staff. Talking to newsmen here on Monday, he further said that directives had been given to all the TMAs of the district for taking special measures to provide cleanliness or purified water and cleanliness while he said that anti mosquito spray and medicines of Malaria disease have been provided to TMAs while he also directed the concerned authorities to launch anti rouming dog campaign in their respected limits, he said.
