MIRPURKHAS Aug 23. One person was killed and four persons including police and ranger personnel were injured when fires exchanged between enraged protesters and rangers and police at a colony of minority people at Mirwah Gorchani town, some 25 kilometers away from here on Monday. Report received that on Monday early morning few persons saw a man was writing objectionable words at the wall and they tried to catch him but he escaped away towards the Bhemomal colony(Meghwar colony) after which hundreds of people gathered there and they surrounded the above colony and demanded the handing over the suspected person. During this rangers and police were reached at the spot, while DPO Mirpurkhas Zulfikar Maher and other police officers also arrived at the spot to control the situation. However, enraged people burnt the woods boundary of the colony and entered into the colony to catch the suspected person even they pelted at the houses of the colony stones. During this law enforcement personnel lauched the tear gas shells to disperse the enraged people however exchanged of fires took place between rangers personnel and enraged people as result one Imran , 30, was killed on the spot with fires of rangers personnel and 4 persons were injured including a ranger personnel and a police constable. The injured were Haq Nawaz, ranger personnel, police constable Abdul Rasher and two unknown persons. They were rushed to civil hospital Mirpurkhas for first aid. After this incident, All the shops and bazaars were closed of Mirwah Gorchani town in the protest and enraged protesters kept the body of deceased Imran at Mirwah Gorchani Digri road and held protest demonstration as result above main road was blocked and traffic was suspended for three hours. Heavy contingents of police and rangers were deployed at the above colony to avert or avoid further untoward incident and providing the protection to the people of above colony. Police have apprehended about 10 persons in charges of breaking the law. Later the deceased body was shifted to civil hospital for legal proceeding including autopsy. DPO Mirpurkhas Zulfikar Maher told the newsmen that heavy contingents of police and rangers were deployed at the sensitive above colony to provide protection to the colony people and avoiding the further untoward incident. He said that it is the sensitive religious matter and we are making efforts to resolve it soon. He further said that situation is in control now. Citizens of Mirwah Gorchani town said that police and rangers personnels fired without any cause as result a innocent youth was killed and some persons were injured. They further said that this if the administration takes help of political and social personalities then this incident was not occurred. Tense situation was prevailed in the Mirwah Gorchani town till filing of the news.
MIRPURKHAS Aug 23. District government Mirpurkhas was collecting the donations from philanthropists, business community, mill owners etc for sending the ration for flood affectees. Report said that DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon was taking personal interest to convince the notables and philanthropists of the district by holding meetings to give donations for flood affected people and during his a week long efforts collected over RS 20 lakhs sofar , while ration has been purchased of that money and packets of rations were being prepared at Shaheed Benazeer Bhutto hall at fruit farm in supervision of Ammara Aamir Khattak, DDO revenue taluka Mirpurkhas. Ammara Aamir Khattak, DDO revenue told the newsmen that flour bag, rice, Milk, matches, splice pulse, mineral bottles , prepared ladies, gents and children cloths about 8000 were also being packed in the ration packets and a ration packet is being prepared of RS 1700 and total 1700 packets were being prepared that would be sent on Monday in trucks to the relief camps in upper Sindh for distribution among the flood affected people. She further said that orders of buying further ration items have been given to incharge utility corporation Mirpurkhas. She said that day night work was continued to prepare the ration packets. DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon told that he had been given RS 5 lakhs for relief camp and following are the people and departments who have given donations in this regard for flood affected people as MNA Mir Munawar Ali Talpure RS 1 lakh, ex MPA Hari Ram Kishori Lal RS 1 lakh, MPA Shamim Aara Panhwer RS 10000, general secretary PPP ladies wing Mirpurkhas division Khairun Nisa Mughal RS 10000, Mirpurkhas sugar mill RS 2 lakhs, Al Abbas Sugar mill RS 3 lakhs, Digri sugar mill RS 1 lakh, Tharparkar sugar mill RS 1 lakh, provincial minister for agriculture Syed Ali Nawaz Shah RS 50000, cotton and ginning factories RS 7 lakhs, fertilizer dealers RS 2 and half lakhs, Patients welfare association RS 60000, Petrol pumps association RS 70000, ex nazim Yamin Narejo RS 50000, Ali Raza RS 25000, Red cresent association district Mirpurkhas given 600 bags of flour , rice and splice pulse packets etc. He further said that these ration packets would be sent to relief camps setup in district Larkana, Shikarpur, Qamber, Ghousepur , Shahdadkot etc.
MIRPURKHAS Aug 23. Acute gastroenteritis disease has been spread in the city and rural areas of the district after heavy rainfall as number of patients of acute Gastro disease have been increased after drinking the contaminated water and daily 10 to 15 children of acute gastro disease were being brought in the Peads ward of the civil hospital however they were being treated despite shortage of medicines. Report said that Water born disease acute gastro has been prevailed here as patients of this disease were coming to civil hospital Mirpurkhas for taking medical treatment. Incharge peads ward of the civil hospital Mirpurkhas child specialist Dr Ghazi Khan Mari told that about 40 children of acute gastro disease were admitted in the ward and despite shortage of the medicines they were providing medical treatment them. He said that daily turned out of the acute gastro patient is about 10 patients. He said that daily 40 canola are required in the ward but only 20 canola were being provided and added that there is required Nepro Canola, drips including ring elected, Phasphomycin, etc in the ward. He said that use of contaminated water, fruits and other food items are the cause of this disease. He demanded the Philanthropists to provide aid to the civil hospital Mirpurkhas sothat it might be able to provide proper medical assistance to the patients.
