MIRPURKHAS May 30. Token hunger strike was observed by Jeay Sindh Quami Mahaz JSQM district Mirpurkhas chapter here on Sunday in front of local press club to protest against the acute shortage of water in Sindh province. Those sit in the token hunger strike camp including Faqeer Qaisar Khan Mari advocate, Javed Bhurgari, Ali Sher Mirrani, Hazir Chandio, Jummo Talani, social worker Asghar Narejo and others. Talking to media men hunger strikers said that water is the matter of live and death for Sindhi people as it is basic need for human being and in present condition they accused that they were being deprived of their rights as acute shortage of water in river Indus was persisting since 4 months. They said that their protest campaign will remained continue till releasing of the required quantity of water in River Indus. They said that construction of dams on river Indus was the enmity with Sindhi people and people of Sindh have now awareness in this regard and would strongly resist to any kind of efforts to damage the Sindh province, they added.
  
MIRPURKHAS May 30. On the call of Jeay Sindh Muttehda Mahaz, its district Mirpurkhas chapter has observed token hunger strike here on Sunday in front of local press club to protest against the violence of police on peaceful students of Shah Abdul Lateef University Khairpur who belong to JSMM. Those observed token hunger strike including Khuda Bux Chohan, Mazhar Mirrani, Aftab Solangi, Shamshad Mirrani etc. Talking to media men hunger strikers strongly condemned the police who brutally tortured the peaceful students of the above university. They demanded the DPO Khairpur to take immediate notice into this matter, suspend the responsible police officials and punish them exemplary, otherwise their protest campaign will be expended throughout province. 

MIRPURKHAS May 30. At least 8 villagers were injured when they tried to extinguish the fire on self help basis broke out in houses at Raja Farm, situated near Mirpurkhas at Hyderabad Mirpurkhas road here on Saturday night. Report said that fire broke out in a house owing to short circuit which engulfed the other houses. Villagers first of all saved their lives and then started to extinguish the fire on self help basis. While fire brigade vehicle was called and that was reached late as result 8 houses were completely gutted. Report added that 350 maunds of wheat crop and house articles were also burnt to ashes. Injured villagers who suffered minor burn injuries including Moti Bheel, Kirshan, Tano, Soorajmal etc. They were brought also in emergency of the civil hospital for first aid. 
 
MIRPURKHAS May 30. Riaz Akhtar, resident of Jamnadas colony has accused that his child was beated up by his teacher and then school administration rusticated him from the school and his mother was also misbehaved by the administration of the school. Addressing at a press conference here on Sunday at local press club, He said that his child Saleem Riaz was student of 4th class in Eastern Public school and he was disturbed by the school administration with different pretext for last few months while school administration was making holiday on Friday  instead of Saturday and Sunday, which he added that his mother went to school and complained to administration on which administration came into rash and misbehaved with his mother. He alleged that there are no proper facilities in the school and children were sitting in their classes even in hot season without fan. He said that school administration was also charging high fee from the students which government should take notice. He demanded the Governor Sindh, Sindh chief minister, provincial minister for education, DCO Mirpurkhas and other agencies to take notice into this matter and cancel the registration of the school.
