MIRPURKHAS Aug 25. On the call of Pakistan Wapda Hydro electric central labor union Mirpurkhas division, pen and tool down strike was observed here on Tuesday in the hesco offices to protest against the attack on hesco complaint center in police presence, manhandling the staff and burning the office furniture and record by the miscreants. Employees, workers of the union and office bearers have held protest demonstration and staged sit in, in front of XEN hesco Mirpurkhas office. On this occasion, addressing at the protesters, leaders demanded the authorities to provide protection to the hesco employees. They deplored that police and hesco administration had completely been failed to provide protection to the employees as lawlessness have become common and in such condition they said that employees could not pay their duties and facing hardships as suffering attacks and insulting. They said that load shedding is being made under the decided policy ofpresent rulers and it has been making in past also. They said that we are along with the masses to face the hardships due to load shedding however , they said that it is unbearable for the employees the attacks of some miscreants at the complaint centers mostly , ransacking and burning the furniture and record and manhandling of the employees. They regretted that despite lodging the various complaints of this kind but no measure was yet taken by the police. They said that their complaint center will remained close till assurance of police, district government and hesco administration to provide complete protection to the employees of hesco Mirpurkhas division. They urged the administration to take immediate notice of FIRs had been lodged by hesco employees against the miscreants in past and provide safety to the employees. Those spoke the protest demonstration including Akbar Khan Leghari, divisional chairman, Secretary Mohammad Yousuf Soomro and vicechairman Malik Abdul Kareem.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 25. Insufficient quantity of flour bags are being distributed among the people including women despite disturbance at the flour stalls of the city while mostly people are returning with empty hands due to very less supply of flour bags that irked the masses. Exchanging hot words are common between revenue staff and masses at the stalls . While police security arrangements are also insufficient at the flour stalls. Thousands of people including women were gathered at the stalls before arrival of the flour bags and revenue staff. Mostly people at Pak colony stall are creating daily disturbance as more than women were reached there and tried to get forcibly the flour bags even they entered into the stall premises while a lady constable was failed to control the unruly women. DCO Mirpurkhas told that government has been reduced the flour bags quota of the district Mirpurkhas as now 7200 flour bags instead of 8800 four bags would be distributeddaily from flour stalls in the district. He said that he is making efforts to get previous flour quota of the district. He said that he is making efforts to provide safety to the revenue staff at the flour stalls. Meanwhile, DCO has paid surprise visits of Khan Road, Lalchandabad and other areas of the city to check the prices of daily essential commodities. He directed the DDO revenue Mirpurkhas Ammara Aamir Khattak to ensure strict checking of the prices sothat no shopkeepers could get illegal profit. Later he visited also fruit and vegetable market and known the prices from the people.

MIRPURKHAS Aug 25. Hundreds of residents of Bhansinghabad, Satellite town have held protest demonstration here on Monday night at Mirwah road near Chandni chowk to protest against the frequent power outages even at the time of Iftar and Sehri. Protesters have blocked the main Mirwah road and burnt the old tyres as result traffic was suspended for an hour. They raised slogans against the hesco officials and warned that if the frequent outages were not stopped then they would surround the houses of the hesco Mirpurkhas division offices. Power supply was closed at the time of protest demonstration. They complained the newsmen that they were facing bravely the 8 to 10 hours load shedding day night for long time but even in Ramzan month power failure occurring at the time of Iftar and Sehri that is unbearable for the masses. They deplored that during Taravi also power is being disrupted. They demanded the chairman Hesco to take immediate notice of injusticeand atrocities with the masses of Mirpurkhas and reduce the time of load shedding for few hours daily. They urged the authorities to avoid the power suspension during the Iftar and Sehri time.
