MIRPURKHAS Aug 2. Protest rally was taken out by Awami Tehreek Mirpurkhas here on Sunday from Chandni chowk on the Sindh issues including construction of power plant at Chashma Jehlum link canal, construction of Kala Bagh Dam, price hike, unemployment etc. Protesters including women led by leaders Abdul Qadir Ranpo and Anwer Nohani have demanded the government to stop the projects against Sindh province. They were carried banners and placards, marched through main roads and reached at Market chowk where speakers have strongly condemned the government for the preparation of anti Sindh projects , growing price hike of general essential commodities , unemployment and entry of outsiders in the Sindh province. They accused that government was not resolving the problems of the masses as common masses are disturbed due to growing price hike and unemployment. They said that government had been failed to stop the outsiders coming in the province that are theburden on the province. They demanded the government to withdraw the projects of construction of power plant on Chashma Jehlum link canal and Kala Bagh dam.
MIRPURKHAS Aug 2. Provincial minister for agriculture Syed Ali Nawaz Shah, PPP district general secretary Tharo Khan Panhwer, MPA Shamim Aara Panhwer, district president Peoples youth Mohammad Haneef Memon and Rizwan Palli have strongly condemned the registrations of false cases against the senior journalists and vice president Sindh Sahafi Sangat Syed Zahir Shah and president Mirpurkhas union of journalist Afaq Ahmed Khan and demanded the authorities to ensure their impartial investigations by good reputed police officers. In a joint press statement issued here on Sunday. They said that PPP is believed on independent of journalism and has strong link with journalists. They said that above both journalists had raised the voices particularly in black regime of dictator rulers for democracy and oppressed masses. Besides, divisional president Jaffria alliance Allama Aijaz Sanjrani, district president Syed Nazim Shah, press secretary Sajjad Rind, leaders ofPML(N) comrade Abdul Majeed, prominent Allama Asad Ali Naqvi and Syed Sagheer Hussain Naqvi have also strongly condemned the false lodging the cases against senior journalists Syed Zahir Shah and Afaq Ahmed Khan and demanded to withdraw the false cases against them .
MIRPURKHAS Aug 2. Local Christian community leaders Patrik, Fanyyaz Jon, Mehboob Masih, Younus Masih and others have strongly condemned the the killing of innocent Christians , attack on Churches and attack on houses of Christians in Gojrah, Punjab. In a joint press statement issued here on Sunday, they deplored such kind of activities have been occurring with Christians in the country while governments in each regime remained fail to stop such kind of crime and activities against Christians. They accused that miscreants had killed innocent Christianson personal enmity by giving religious colour. They said that Christians community is peaceful but remained yet target of miscreants. They lauded the statements of Altaf Hussain, leader of Muttehda Quami Movement on this matter and his expression of brotherhood and sympathy with Christian community . They demanded the government to immediately arrest the culprits involved in this incident and action forresponsible inefficient administration of Gojra to stop such kind of incidents in the country.

Protest rally was taken out by Mirpurkhas union of Journalists, different organizations and civil society including Gulistan e Mazoreen center Mirpurkhas, Anjuman Akhbar faroshan, Jaffria alliance, PPP, Peoples youth, Muslim league functional, Jeay sindh students federation, PML (N) here on Saturday from railway station chowk to protest against the registration of false FIR by town police against the senior journalist and president MUJ Afaq Ahmed Khan . Protesters led by Ghulam Rasool Mugheri, Javed Malik and Ayub Maher raised slogans against the complainant and police. They were carried banners and placards and marched through main roads and reached at Market chowk where they staged sit in. Protesters burnt tyres as result traffic was suspended for four hours. Heavy contingents of police were present on this occasion. Speakers on this occassion strongly condemned the police behavior towards journalists and deplored that on the simpleapplications of narcotic peddlers and money extortionists’ police were registering the FIRs against the journalists in the district without any investigation. They deplored that within two months various FIRs were lodged against the journalists including Syed Zahir Shah, Farooque Kaim Khani, M.Hashim Shar, Afaq Ahmed Khan etc. They lamented that false cases were being lodged against the journalists on the behest of drug mafia and criminals as result resentment had been prevailed among the local journalists and feeling themselves insecure. They demanded the chief justice of Supreme Court Iftikhar Mohammad Chohadhry, Sindh chief minister, Governor Sindh, provincial minister for information, chief justice Sindh high court , provincial police officer PPO, RPO Hyderabad, DIG Mirpurkhas and DPO Mirpurkhas to take immediately notice , withdraw the false cases and provide security to the journalists community. Those spoke on this occasion, journalists SyedZahir Shah, Ghulam Rasool Mugheri, Allah Bux Arisar, Mohammad Hashim Shar, Qamaruddin, Azeem Rajput, Jay ram Malhi, Abbas Qadri, Shamsuddin Shaikh advocate of PPP, Rizwan Palli of PPP youth wing, Sikandar Jhandeer of PML(N) , MPL(F) Asad Baloch, Mazhar Mirrani of JSSF, Ayub Maher of Anjuman Akhbar Faroshan and Lal Mohammad Baloch of Gulistan Mazoreen Center. SP investigation Mirpurkhas Zafar Iqbal during the protest reached at the spot and negotiated with the representatives of protesters and assured that impartial inquiry will be made into the matter of FIRs against the journalists and added that no injustice will be made with journalists as well as common people on which protest was ended. It may be recalled that two days back, Abdul Nasir Khan had lodged the case with town police station of attempt to murder, beating, ablazing with intention of killing and spreading terrorism( under section 324, 337 A(I), F(I), 34 PPC, 436 and 6/7 Anti terrorism act ).
MIRPURKHAS Aug 1. District and sessions Judge Mirpurkhas Rasheed Ahmed Soomro has said that chief justice of Pakistan has given the national judicial policy 2009 for providing immediate justice to the masses and added that due to implementation on it more than help will be get to provide justice to the people. He was speaking as chief guest at the National judicial conference held here on Saturday in the premises of district and sessions court Mirpurkhas that was attended by lawyers, judges and government officers. He further said that except the speedy disposal of cases under this National judicial policy there was need to be jointly work by magistrates, lawyers, judicial magistrates and other government officials to make successful to this policy. He said that the purpose of this conference was to apprise the people about this policy and receiving the new proposals, recommendations and suggestions for which today conferences were being held on districtlevel throughout country sothat after reviewing better new proposals might be included into the policy. DDO revenue and special judicial magistrate Ammara Aamir Khatak, DIG Mirpurkhas Mushtaque Maher and additional session judge Zarina Abbasi said that it is the first policy under which chief justice of Pakistan have activated the all institutions for providing justice to the masses without any discrimination and added that justice should not be delay and deserves should be given rights and punish the accused. District and session Judge Mirpurkhas told the conference on this occasion that received recommendations and proposals of this conference would be sent to National judicial council.
