MIRPURKHAS Dec 24. A massive rally was taken out by Tehreek Tahafuz Namoos Risalat here on Friday after Jumma prayer from Madina Masjid to protest against the amendments in blasphemy law. Hundreds of workers and office bearers of various religious parties participated in the rally while carrying banners and placards. They were led by Moulana Hafeezur Rehman Faiz, Mohammad Ali Siddique, Hafiz Akbar Rashid and Hafiz Attaullah , marched throught main roads and reached at Market chowk where speaking at the protesters leaders have strongly condemned the efforts to end the Blasphemy law and also efforts to amend this law on the behest of foreign rulers. They asserted that they would not allow to anyone to amend it. They demanded the government to withdraw the bill regarding amendment in this law presented by Shereen Rehman in the National assembly. They warned that their protest campaign will remained continue till withdrawal of this amendment bill. They announced that like other areas of the country, on Dec 31 complete strike will be observed at Mirpurkhas in protest.
MIRPURKHAS Dec 24. Kashif Mari, resident of Kharpara has lodged the case with town police station here on Friday of attempt to murder and issuing the threats of killing. Complainant accused that one Mohammad Kamran had allegedly fired upon him to kill but fortunately he was escaped unhurt, while he was standed outside his house. The accused managed to escape from the spot. He added that above accused had also been aerial firing outside his house a day back.
MIRPURKHAS Dec 24. A massive rally was taken out by Muttehda Quami Movement MQM Mirpurkhas zone here on Friday from MQM zonal office to mobilize the people to participate in convention and public Meeting of MQM at Bhit Shah on Dec 25. Hundreds of people including youths, activists, office bearers and citizens at bikes and cars carrying MQM flags rounded at the different roads and streets of the city. They raised slogans, while inviting the people to participate in the MQM public meeting at Bhit Shah. Zonal incharge of MQM Mirpurkhas Azeem Danish told the newsmen that workers and office bearers of 19 zones would participate in the public meeting and it will strengthen the unity and solidarity among the masses of Sindh province.
MIRPURKHAS Dec 24. President Sindh chamber of agriculture district Mirpurkhas chapter Mir Zafarullah Talpure has strongly condemned the sugar mills managements to decrease the rate of sugar cane from RS 200 per 40 kilogramme to RS 175 per 40 kilogramme while day by day sugar rate was increasing in the country . Talking to local news man on Friday, he accused that sugar mill owners have been setup their monopoly to earn more than benefit as they had declined or decrease the rate of sugarcane while selling their sugar in the market on high rate. He said that sugar cane growers were supplying their cane regularly to end the no cane condition of the sugar mills as result now all the sugar mills in the district Mirpurkhas are crushing the cane daily over 1 lakhs maund according to their capacity. He said that rate RS 200 per 40 kilogrammes was already less against the expenses or input of the cane crop as result growers were deprived of reasonable price of the cane. He added that while wood was also being sold over RS 200 per 40 kilogrammes in the country and sugar mills owners should buy the cane at least RS 300 per 40 kilogrammes but they deliberately decreased the rate simultaneously as result now growers were compelled to supply the cane at RS 175 per 40 kilogrammes and such , he added that they were suffering loss in selling the cane in less rate. He urged the growers to create unity and demanded the government to force the sugar mills to decrease the sugar rate in benefit of the masses.He strongly condemned the Sindh revenue department as deserve flood affected abadgars had been deprived of subsidized fertilizers and seeds provided by the Sindh government for flood affected growers . He said that recently five revenue officials were suspended by DCO Thatta in charges to deprive the genuine flood affected abadgars of subsidized fertilizers and seeds while undeserved people were provided the fertilizers and seeds. He criticized the revenue department as Sindh government had been provided the fertilizers and seeds for deserves flood affected abadgars in the province but revenue officials had distributed the fertilizers and seeds to undeserved people and their favorites as result genuine flood affected abadgars were deprived of their rights even they might not cultivate the crop at their lands in the flood affected areas. He called the Sindh chief minister and governor Sindh to take immediate notice and ensure distribution of subsidized fertilizers and seeds among the genuine flood affected growers without any delay sothat they could survive in their areas.
