MIRPURKHAS Dec 15.  Food technology laboratory that had been constructed in the premises of Sindh horticulture research institute Mirpurkhas was lying unfunction as it was put in the project for saving the wastage of 75 percent Mango crop by producing juice or pulp of the fruit. Report said that in the tenure of ex Sindh chief minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim , project with estimated cost of RS 50 millions was prepared in 2002 for construction of food technology laboratory along with 4 bungalows, 8 quarters and a seminar hall but due to unknown causes it was not implemented at the time and later authorities releases its funds and constructed the buildings of the above project. While only seminar hall was lying incomplete. The aims to establish the food technology laboratory was to produce pulp of Mango for exporting because of due to lake of knowledge and short implementation on post harvest treatment of mango crop , 75 percent of mango production was wastage each year and with preparing the pulp the mango fruit will completely be utilized properly as its pulp will be export saving it’s wastage in huge quantity. However the above laboratory was tested by authorities but it was lying unfunction without season of Mango crop. Director Sindh horticulture research institute Mirpurkhas Dr Atta Hussain Soomro, when asked him about not function of the laboratory, he said that officially we could not run this laboratory regularly as there were various difficulties to run it because he can not arrange the huge quantity of mango fruit as the Mango orchard of this institute was already given on contract and expressed that private companies and contractors could run it regularly with success. He further said that there was required 5 to 7 tons of mango fruit daily for its function regularly that was very difficult for government department. He expressed that different kinds of pulp of fruits were being produced by India for exporting. He told that Sindhri Mango is not proper for pulp and Langra mango is appropriate for pulp production here and added that mango kind Alfanso was being used for pulp in India as India was advanced in producing pulp of mango. He said that he has been furnished proposal to government to give this laboratory on lease or contract for its regular function. He further said that only private contractor could available the required huge quantity of mango daily basis for exporting mango pulp or juice. He told that representatives of Pakola and Pepsi companies had been approached to him for getting the laboratory on lease. He said that we could get pulp and juice of other fruits with changing of wire networking of the machinery of the laboratory. 

MIRPURKHAS Dec 19. Board of intermediate and secondary education BISE Mirpurkhas has announced that supplementary exam of intermediate class will be held from Dec 29, 2010 while practical exam will be held on Jan 17, 2011. Said a handout while girls and boys candidates of Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, and Umerkot and Tharparkar districts have been advised to contact their colleges for further information.Besides, BISE Mirpurkhas announced that last date of submitting the farm  of 9th and 10th classes for annual examination 2011 has been fixed Dec 28 while examination farms with late fee might be submitted till Jan 26, 2011.
 
MIRPURKHAS Dec 19. Social leader Kamran Kaim Khani has called upon the president of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chohadhry to take immediate notice of killing of merit in recruitment of revenue officials (Tapedar) in the Sindh province and provide justice to 207 deserved youths who had been passed the IBA exam and also succeeded in one year training. Speaking at the press conference held here on Sunday at local press club. He said that after publishing advertisement for recruitment for vacate posts of Tapedar, about 18000 candidates had been submitted their application in 2007 and they were appeared in the written test taken by IBA while 436 candidates were succeeded after which they were appeared in viva test in which 278 candidates were announced succeeded. He told that in 2008, they took training in Tapedar training college Hyderabad and after one year training 207 candidates of them were passed in the training. He said that director of settlements survey and land recorded Sindh had been announced their result as passed training 207 candidates. He deplored that they were still not provided their pass certificates by the concerned revenue department even they were deprived of jobs. He said that 637 seats of Tapedars were lying vacate in Sindh province but present Sindh government was making injustice with them as recruiting its favorites on those posts directly without any test, interview and training. He said that about 423 favorites of Sindh government had been issued offer letters despite fulfilling legal proceeding of revenue law. He further said that deserved 207 candidates who had been passed one year training had also been observed token hunger strike in protest at Karachi about 4 months back to protest against government failure to give their share of jobs while he added that advisor to Sindh chief minister Jameel Ahmed Soomro, Waqar Mehdi and Sharmeela Farooque had ended their hunger strike with assurance that they would soon be acquired their posting orders. He said that despite passing 4 months to the promises of the above advisors to Sindh chief minister, deserved candidates were still deprived of their jobs. He urged the higher authorities to take notice, provide them justice by issuing them their posting orders without any delay. 

MIRPURKHAS Dec 19. No cane condition of sugar mills in the district have been ended following supplying regularly the sugarcane to mills by growers while sugar mills were buying the cane at RS 200 per 40 kilogrammes. Report said that Mirpurkhas, Al Abbas, Tharparkar and Digri sugar mills were crushing the cane in the district as the mills offered rate RS 200 per 40 kilogramme to the landlords, growers have resumed the harvesting of the standed cane and supplying the crop to mills without any interval as result no cane condition has now been ended in the mills and they were crushing of cane according to their capacity. Sources said that big landlords who had cultivated cane at their more than lands were being offered secretly the rate RS 220 to 230 per 40 kilogramme by few mills for gaining more than crop to fulfill the crushing capacity of their mills. Sources added that middle men were getting more than benefit as they were purchasing cane from small growers with payment of cane on the spot while then selling the sugarcane to mills in high rate. Sources added that Tharparkar sugar mill was more than buying the cane as its management was very fast to contact with big landlords for buying their cane and paying also payments to landlords as their cane was reached at the mill. When contacted administrative officer of Tharparkar sugar mill Chohadhry Ashraf Arain said that all the above 4 sugar mills of the district were crushing the cane daily about 1 lakhs maunds. He said that rate RS 200 per 40 kilogrammes was being given to growers without transportation fair. He said that sugar cane rate was being offered to growers with mutual consultation of the sugar mills of the district. 

MIRPURKHAS Dec 19. Naib Ameer Jamaat Islami Sirajul Haq has said that oppressed system was continued since 60 years in the country as result majority of the masses are not capable to give education, health, bread and basic facilities to their children. He was speaking at the training session of the workers here on Saturday evening. He said that Moin Qureshi, Shoukat Aziz and Pervez Musharraf had been fled away from the country while Afghanistan has become graveyard of Martyrds because of Afghan masses were fighting with Neto forces otherwise Neto headquarter was to be established at Islamabad. He accused that like black water organizations were responsible of lawlessness in the country as rulers were implementing on the signals of USA . Deputy secretary general Dr Fareed Ahmed Paracha said that government should end its anti masses policy as critical political situation created in the country after parting the ways of JUI (F) with government  and said that JI will opposed those would adopt undemocratic ways for getting benefits from government and advised the government to adopt fruitful and constructive strategy for betterness in the country. He said that we are waiting of decision of the Moulana Fazlur Rehman weather he will rejoin the government or not after which JI will decide its future strategy. Those also spoke Provincial Ameer Asadullah Bhutto, General secretary Dr Merajul Huda Siddique, deputy general secretary Mumtaz Hussain Sehto and Ameer JI Mirpurkhas Babuddin.
