MIRPURKHAS Feb 13. Concerned authorities have not yet begun the work to construct sports complex and installation of LPG air mixed plant at Kot Ghulam Mohammad town as result people are deprived of sports ground and LPG gas facility. Report said that federal minister for inter provincial relation Pir Aftab Hussain Shah Jilani and MNA Mir Munawar Ali Talpure had been laid stone breaking of the above two projects in month oct, 2009 during the ceremonies held near office of taluka Nazim Kot Ghulam Mohammad and across Kot Ghulam Mohammad Mirpurkhas road . Report added that sports complex was to be constructed at 4 acres government land (irrigation department land) and LPG air mixed plant was to be installed at 4 acre land of Market committee and for this purpose sui southern gas company limited was approached for installation of this project as such kind of project had also been installed in Punjab province. MNA Mir Munawar Ali Talpure had taken special interest for installation of this project to fulfill his promise made with masses of taluka kot Ghulam Mohammad. Report said that the land matter to fix the price or value of the 4 acre land of market committee was handed over to district price committee comprising chairman EDO revenue , members D.O revenue, concerned DDO revenue, concerned Mukhtiarkar, representatives of real state and market committee. However no meeting of district price committee was yet convened despite passing three months. Anwer Kaim Khani, Farooque, Ghulam Mustafa , Shamshair Kaim Khani etc told the newsmen that various teams of Sui Southern gas company limited had visited the site here various times but no work was yet started. When contacted DDO revenue taluka Kot Ghulam Mohammad, Aamir Khattak told that the matter had been shifted to district price committee to fix the market value of 4 acres of Market committee land that was acquired for installation of LPG air Mixed plant. He deplored that building department has not yet been started the work on the sports complex scheme. 

MIRPURKHAS Feb 13. Hundreds of abadgars of Girhor Shakh fed by Khipro canal have staged protest demonstrations at local press club and outside the office of director Nara canal to protest against not supply of irrigation water in their Girhor Shakh for last two months causing destroying of their cultivated crops. Protesters reached first of all outside the office of director Nara canal in mini trucks and Datsun pickups. They, led by Mohammad Khan Mari and Arbab Mari carried banners and placards demanding the authorities for early supply of irrigation water in their Shakh. Later, they arrived at local press club where they staged sit in. On this occasion talking to newsmen protesters Mohammad Khan Mari, Arbab Mari, Noor Mohammad Khaskheli and others deplored that despite passing two months no drop of irrigation water was supplied in their Shakh. They described that water supply was closed in their Shakh after closure of Nara canal for annual desilting and improvement but despite passing two months water was not supplied in their Shakh as result their cultivated wheat, sugar cane, sun flower and vegetables crops were devastating. They said that water supply had been resumed in Nara head while accusing that SDO Samaro was receiving allegedly illegal gratification from big landlords as result water is being provided to big landlords or those paying illegal gratification. They regretted that their area was deprived also of drinking water and people had been compelled to bring the drinking water from far flung areas. They demanded the Sindh chief minister, Governor Sindh, secretary irrigation and provincial minister for irrigation to immediately take notice ensure judiciously distribution of water and water availability till tail end abadgars of their Shakh. 

MIRPURKHAS Feb 13. Local landlord Pir Iftikhar Jan Sarhandi has demanded the Sindh chief minister, Governor Sindh, provincial minister for irrigation and secretary irrigation to take immediately notice of acute shortage of water in tail of Lakhaki Shakh fed by Jamrao canal as result hundreds of abadgars and landlords were deprived of their share water and their cultivated wheat and other crops were adversely damaging. Talking to newsmen here on Saturday at local press club, he deplored that water is being supplied in Lakhki Shakh but influential landlords are involved in stealing of irrigation water by tempering their water courses as result water was not reaching in tail even Sindh horticulture research institute Mirpurkhas, Mirpurkhas Gymkhana club, Judges bunglows and other residences of government officers are also adversely affecting of acute shortage of water. They deplored that in the head of the Shakh henchmen of landlords are forcibly closed the water supply in tail as result maximum water quantity was going in the lands of influential landlords. He demanded the concerned authorities to ensure water supply till tail end abadgars in their Shakh.
