MIRPURKHAS July 12.Crackdown of district police, rounded up 15 narcotic peddlers and
recovered huge quantity of unhealthy Gutka and
other narcotics from their possession during 24 hours in the district. Report said that on a
tip off, town police carried out raid and apprehended accused Sajid Ali
Malik near from Tandoadam road and recovered from his possession 54000
Gutka no 2100. Town police have also lodged the case against the above
accused under narcotic act. Meanwhile, police also picked up during
raids the accused including narcotic peddlers Saddam, Irfan, Nazeer,
Mohammad Ilyas, Dhani Bux, Riaz, Mohammad Aslam, Atta Mohammad, Hira
Lal, Dileep Malhi, Manzoor Ali Ujjan, Sohail, Mohammad Shafique and
Mohammad Aalam Khaskheli and recovered from their possession 703 liters
liquor, 20 bottles wiski wine, one kilogramme and 395 grams
charas and 4000 unhealthy Gutka. Besides, an accused Qurban Lanjo was
nabbed during vehicle checking and recovered from his possession
unlicensed TT pistol and huge quantity of bullets.

Deputy district population welfare officer Mirpurkhas Nasrullah Kumbhar has said that family planning was a requirement for controlling the population and population could be controlled by implementation on the best advices of doctors. He was speaking at the rally taken out from civil hospital to post office chowk to mark world population day here on Monday at post office chowk. The rally was taken out led by deputy district population welfare officer Mirpurkhas Nasrullah Kumbhar, while officers and officials of the department including women officers participated. He further said that population was increasing in speed in the country while there was need to msutly control it. He said that his department had been launched different programmes in the province. He expressed that due to more than population problems of the people were increasing in which children education, health, food and poverty. He said that welfare centers of population department, mobile services and reproductive health centers were working for services of the masses. He appealed the masses to take more than benefit of the government facilities of population planning. Shehzado Malik of arts foundation also spoke the participators.

July 11. Senior child specialist and incharge peads ward of civil
hospital Mirpurkhas Dr Ghazi Khan Mari was died of kidney failure here on Sunday
late night. He was over 50 years old. His kidneys were being made
dialysis from the local dialysis center Mirpurkhas for last various
months. He was also patient of sugar for last 20 years. His funeral was
attended by hundreds of people including his colleagues’ doctors,
relatives, friends and citizens and laid to rest at his ancestral
graveyard in taluka Hussain Bux Mari.

July 11. Following the restoration of previous commissionarate system
in the province, ex DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon has been
appointed as commissioner Mirpurkhas division and he has been taken over
the charge and started the work here on Monday. Report said that ex EDO
revenue Mirpurkahs Bachal Rahepota has been appointed as deputy
commissioner Mirpurkhas and he has also been taken over the charge. Ex
DCO Tharparkar Shakeeluz Zaman has been appointed as deputy commissioner
Tharparkar and he has been taken over the charge. Ex DCO Sanghar
Ahmed Bux Khokhar has been appointed as deputy commissioner Sanghar and
he has also been taken over the charge. Ex DCO Umerkot Nazar Mohammad
Kalhoro has been appointed as deputy commissioner Umerkot and he has
also been taken over the charge.
MIRPURKHAS July 11. A rally was taken out by PPP district Mirpurkhas and its different wings including people’s labour bureau here on Monday from its city office in the support of historical decision of the Sindh government to restore the commissionarate system. Led by MPA Shamim Aara Panhwer, president people’s labour bureau Sindh Rehmatullah Sarki, Niaz Pathan and Maqbool Khatyan, participators carrying banners and placards marched through main roads and reached at local press club. Where speakers said that PPP has made historical work to replace the system of a previous dictator and present commissionarte system will provide more than benefit to the masses. They said that commissionerate system was the dream of Shaheed Rani Mohtarma Benazeer Bhutto which was restored in the Sindh province on the directives of President Asif Ali Zardari. They hoped that now government will take measures to provide relief to the masses by solving the problems of unemployment and prolong load shedding. They said that PPP government will also make services of the masses in future also and all the grievances of the masses would be resolved with the cooperation of the masses.
MIRPURKHAS July 11. At least 12 persons have been booked by town police in charges of beating a person in court premises and kidnapping him here on Monday. Report said that About a dozen persons with arms have attacked on one Arif Abbasi, beated him, ensure aerial firing and kidnapped him forcibly , during this town police went back to the kidnappers but in the way, kidnappers left the abductee and fled away . Report said that Ms Sonia and Kareem, resident of Bishti colony had allegedly been married some days back with their willings. While on Monday morning Arif Abbasi, uncle of Kareem reached in the local court with necessary documents related with marry of above couple that suddenly about a dozen persons with arms appeared there and beated the Arif Abbasi , ensure aerial firing and forcibly kidnapped him from the court premises. During this local police intervened and went back to the kidnappers but in the way kidnappers left the kidnappee and fled away. On the intervention of Riaz Ahmed Soomro, DPO Mirpurkhas, case was lodged with town police station under section 364, 403, 147, 148, 149, 337 F(i), 337 F(ii), 504 and 34 PPC on the complaint of victim Arif Abbasi incharges of kidnapping and beating etc against the 12 accused including Mohammad Yousuf, Idrees, Saleem, Ghulam Rasool, Ghulam Mustafa, Rafique, Younus, Bilal, Akbar , Shafique and Lateef. Report said that few relatives of MS Sonia were also included among the accused. However no accused was yet arrested by town police.
