MIRPURKHAS May 31. Chairman Farmer organization council FOC Sindh Javed Ahmed Junejo has called the world bank to stop the funds for its project “water improvement sector programme” for Sindh which allocation is RS 17 crors and 50 lakh dollars unless the irrigation authorities were not solve the grievances of the abadgars and threatened to taken out protest rally, holding protest demonstration and staging sit in in front of local press club on June 3rd , 2010 if the authorities did not improve the water supply in the command area of Nara canal. He was giving briefing to the local newsmen here on Monday after presiding the meeting of FOC to review the acute water shortage in Nara canal tail despite releasing the 14000 cusec water discharge in the Nara head. He said that WISP project of World Bank was launched for repairs and rehabilitation of the distributaries and allocated handsum amount in this regard. He deplored that under rotation programme the distributaries were being supplied irrigation water a week in the month when water was being supplied 5000 cusec discharge in the Nara head but now after improvement of water as supplying the 14000 cusec water in the Nara head but same rotation programme was being made due to corruption of the irrigation officials as they were supplied the irrigation water to particular channels after receiving alleged heavy bribe. He accused that irrigation officers were distributing the irrigation water injudiciously as result acute shortage of water persisting in the command area of the Nara canal. He accused that distributaries were being supplied regularly water belong to political MNAs and MPAs. He said that Sindh irrigation and drainage authority had been formed farmer organizations but no irrigation officer and SIDA officials were giving any attention towards FOs as result we are making struggle for their rights and making efforts to save the agriculture sector in command area of Nara canal. He alleged that SIDA had been taken decisions by passing the FOs and accused that officers are getting postings in SIDA by paying alleged heavy bribe and involved in corruption. He called upon the government to order the high level inquiry of funds provided to SIDA by World Bank and other institutions from its formation uptill now. He further demanded the government to order the impartial inquiry into the funds provided to irrigation department for desilting purpose of the Nara canal. He strongly condemned the XEN Thar canal for stoppage of water supply in the water channels of farmer organizations and termed it victimization with FOs. He urged the government to suspend the XEN Thar division without any delay and demanded the inquiry be made against provided RS 5 and half crors rupees to Thar division for annual desilting purpose. He demanded the government to immediately remove the rotation programme in Nara canal system , cancel the shifting of 2 lakh acres land of Rohri canal to Nara canal, cancellation of newly approved direct out let, moduels and minors in the interest of agriculture sector. Earlier, hundreds of abadgars belong to districts Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Khairpur, Benazeerabad, Sanghar, Umerkot, Tandoallahyar and Tharparkar have participated in the meeting of FOC , presided by its chairman Javed Ahmed Junejo to review the present acute artificial shortage of water in the command area of Nara canal. Those abadgars and landlords participated the meeting including Haji Abdul Ghafoor Maher, Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah, Mohammad Hassan Mangrio, Gul Siddique Pathan, Syed Altaf Shah, Liaqat Arain, Liaqat Kaim Khani, Hassan Ali Kalro, Akbar Mangrio, Saleem Malkani and Ch Niaz. 

MIRPURKHAS May 31. Scores of government contractors under the banner of government contractor welfare association Mirpurkhas have held demonstration outside the local press club here on Monday to protest against not payment due money to government contractors on behalf of government. Protesters led by patron Abdul Ghaffar Rajput, Abdul Salam and Arif, carried banners and placards demanding the government to pay their dues without any delay. Speaking at the protesters Abdul Ghaffar Rajput said that tenders were called of rupees billions under Annual development programme in April 2009 in education works provincial department in the province and provincial ministers had been laid foundation stone of the works at different places  but deplored that Sindh government despite receiving damand did not issue the funds of the development schemes in June 2009. He lamented that even government did not allocate the funds for development works in budget 2009 and further officers had been taken construction work from contractors of RS 5 crors in the district Mirpurkhas . He said that contractors were facing financial crisis owing to non payment of their millions of rupees. He demanded the Sindh chief minister to take immediate notice and ensure immediate payment of dues of the contractors without any delay to give justice them.

MIRPURKHAS May 30. Token hunger strike was observed by Jeay Sindh Quami Mahaz JSQM district Mirpurkhas chapter here on Sunday in front of local press club to protest against the acute shortage of water in Sindh province. Those sit in the token hunger strike camp including Faqeer Qaisar Khan Mari advocate, Javed Bhurgari, Ali Sher Mirrani, Hazir Chandio, Jummo Talani, social worker Asghar Narejo and others. Talking to media men hunger strikers said that water is the matter of live and death for Sindhi people as it is basic need for human being and in present condition they accused that they were being deprived of their rights as acute shortage of water in river Indus was persisting since 4 months. They said that their protest campaign will remained continue till releasing of the required quantity of water in River Indus. They said that construction of dams on river Indus was the enmity with Sindhi people and people of Sindh have now awareness in this regard and would strongly resist to any kind of efforts to damage the Sindh province, they added.
  
MIRPURKHAS May 30. On the call of Jeay Sindh Muttehda Mahaz, its district Mirpurkhas chapter has observed token hunger strike here on Sunday in front of local press club to protest against the violence of police on peaceful students of Shah Abdul Lateef University Khairpur who belong to JSMM. Those observed token hunger strike including Khuda Bux Chohan, Mazhar Mirrani, Aftab Solangi, Shamshad Mirrani etc. Talking to media men hunger strikers strongly condemned the police who brutally tortured the peaceful students of the above university. They demanded the DPO Khairpur to take immediate notice into this matter, suspend the responsible police officials and punish them exemplary, otherwise their protest campaign will be expended throughout province. 

MIRPURKHAS May 30. At least 8 villagers were injured when they tried to extinguish the fire on self help basis broke out in houses at Raja Farm, situated near Mirpurkhas at Hyderabad Mirpurkhas road here on Saturday night. Report said that fire broke out in a house owing to short circuit which engulfed the other houses. Villagers first of all saved their lives and then started to extinguish the fire on self help basis. While fire brigade vehicle was called and that was reached late as result 8 houses were completely gutted. Report added that 350 maunds of wheat crop and house articles were also burnt to ashes. Injured villagers who suffered minor burn injuries including Moti Bheel, Kirshan, Tano, Soorajmal etc. They were brought also in emergency of the civil hospital for first aid. 
 
MIRPURKHAS May 30. Riaz Akhtar, resident of Jamnadas colony has accused that his child was beated up by his teacher and then school administration rusticated him from the school and his mother was also misbehaved by the administration of the school. Addressing at a press conference here on Sunday at local press club, He said that his child Saleem Riaz was student of 4th class in Eastern Public school and he was disturbed by the school administration with different pretext for last few months while school administration was making holiday on Friday  instead of Saturday and Sunday, which he added that his mother went to school and complained to administration on which administration came into rash and misbehaved with his mother. He alleged that there are no proper facilities in the school and children were sitting in their classes even in hot season without fan. He said that school administration was also charging high fee from the students which government should take notice. He demanded the Governor Sindh, Sindh chief minister, provincial minister for education, DCO Mirpurkhas and other agencies to take notice into this matter and cancel the registration of the school.

MIRPURKHAS May 29. Arrangements to hold or celebrate the national annual 45th Mango and summer fruits exhibition 2010 have been finalized as it will be held on June 4, 5 and 6th 2010 as yet 280 owners of mango orchards have been submitted their forms to management committee to take part in the festival. In 1965, first time Mango festival was held here on district level and gradually it was expended throughout province even now it has been become national level festival as throughout country people including Mango exporters  come here to participate in the festival. It may be recalled that owing to more than production of Mango, MIrpurkhas had been famous as Mango city as Mango orchards are on 13640 hectors in the district. Famous Mango farm of the district are as Rais Khair Mohammad Bhurgari farm, Anwer Gondal farm, Kachehlo farm, Hafeez Dal farm, Asad Ali Junejo farm, Umer Bughio farm, Nawazabad farm, Akbar Rind farm, government fruit farm and Nusratabad farm etc . Talking to newsman, chairman arrangement committee of national annual Mango and summer fruits exhibition Anwer Gondal told that DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon is the chairman management committee and he is the chairman of arrangement committee and their duties are separated however we working with full coordination. He said that programme of this mango exhibition has been finalized as on June 4; provincial minister for agriculture Syed Ali Nawaz Shah will inaugurate the festival while registration of the mango orchards will be made. He said that on last day of the festival on June 6th, chief minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah will be the chief guest of prize distribution ceremony of the exhibition. He said that various meetings of organization committee had yet been held to review the all arrangements of the festival. He expressed that owing to acute shortage of water in this region and due to wave of heavy air and heat persisting, size of mango has been little, while its test has also been affected and it has early been matured than its time as result crop had been come in the local market and being transported to other areas of the country. He said that souvenir of exhibition is under process, while exhibition will be held in Shaheed Benazeer Bhutto Mango festival hall in fruit farm Mirpurkhas that is central air condition. He said that there are 15 commercial varieties of the Mango who will be display mustly in the event along with other varieties of the Mango as Sindhri, Gulab Khasa, Langra, Dasehri, Saroli, Zafran, Anwer Retol, Saleh Bhai, Bombay Alfanso, Chausa, Neelum, Bengam Pali, Swarnarica, Collector and Desi . He further said that mostly owners of mango orchards and abadgars would participated from following areas as Mirpurkhas, Tandoallahyar, Sanghar, Benazeerabad, Noshehroferoz, Matiari, Jamshoro, Umerkot, Tando Ghulam Ali, Tando Mohammad Khan, Taluka Mithi, etc. He expressed that different recreation programme as well as sports competition would also be held on this occasion including Meena Bazaar for ladies, sports activities, Bull cart race, special children’s race, Seminar on Mango crop and its export, fire works and musicial programme.
 
 
MIRPURKHAS May 29. An emergent joint meeting of All Sindh primary teachers association and Masjid teachers association has strongly condemned the government for brutally torturing to the teachers and demanded the government to accept their demands otherwise their protest campaign will remained continue till acceptance of their demands. Joint meeting was held here on Saturday presided by president All Sindh primary teachers association Haji Mohammad Usman Halepota, held at Government Shah Abdul Lateef Primary school while meeting unanimously decided that implementation will be made on the directives of the center and according to programme protest rallies would be taken out daily till May 31st after which massive protest demonstration will be held in front of press club. Meeting further said that from June 1st, token hunger strike will be observed to press the government to accept their genuine demands. Meeting requested the center to call the civil society and political parties to join their struggle and protest campaign for their rights.
 
MIRPURKHAS May 29. Regional director of regional Ombudsman office Mirpurkhas Shafique Ahmed Khan has been directed the District police officers of districts Mirpurkhas, Sanghar and Umerkot to ensure registration of FIRs of the poor complainants who come to police stations for lodging their complaints sothat they could get justice with proper manner. In a press release issued here on Friday, he further said that he had been received various complaints that police were not lodged the FIRs of poor people as result they were deprived of justice and any relief. He asked the police officers to review the cases lying in pending and provide relief and justice to the complainants by arresting the accused.
 
MIRPURKHAS May 29. Chairman Farmers organization council FOC Sindh Javed Ahmed Junejo has accused that despite supplying 13500 cusec water discharge in the Nara canal head , 70 percent shortage of water was persisting in Mithrao, Jamrao, Thar , Khipro and other canals owing to injudicious distribution of water by the irrigation officers . In a statement issued here on Saturday, he said that due to injudicious distribution of water FOC has been removed the committees setup on each sub divisional level to settle the matter related to irrigation water etc and convened the FOC emergency meeting on May 31 Monday at Mirpurkhas in which abadgars of about 8 districts including Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Sanghar, Benazeerabad, Khairpur, Sukkur, Tharparkar and Tandoallahyar would participate to review the present serious condition and artificial shortage of water particularly in tail end areas of the Nara canal. He accused that except director Nara canal area water board, other officers and engineers were not ready to hear the grievances of the abadgars. He alleged that big loss is being given them by shifting the 2 lakhs acres land of Rohri canal to Nara canal while despite handing over the 159 channels out of 162 channels to farmer organizations no officer was giving heed to hear the grievances of the abadgars. He deplored that no body is accepting now to farmer organizations FOs in present situation. He accused that illegal water supply to favorites abadgars is being made by the irrigation officers and XEN Thar canal as victimizing had been closed the irrigation channels being run by farmer organizations FOs. He said that we wanted to work along with irrigation officials but bureaucracy is not ready to work with FOs and added that in this connection emergency meeting has been convened on May 31 in which we would decide to future course of action including holding protest demonstrations and observing the strike in towns and cities. He further said that it will also be decided in the meeting that if the water distribution was not made judiciously then chairmen of the 159 farmer organizations FOs would give their resignations.

MIRPURKHAS May 28. An Assistant sub inspector of Tando Ghulam Ali police station , district Badin had allegedly been established private torture cell at his private bunglow in Mir Allah Bux colony of Tando Jan Mohammad town, district Mirpurkhas as he had been detained there innocent people in illegal confinement for money extortion. It was revealed on Tuesday (few days ago) when a unknown person in badly condition came out from the above private torture cell after occurring a fire there, raising hue and cry and saying the area people to save him from Badin police. Area sources told the local newsman that unknown person later had been informed to Imam Ali Shah through telephone that his detained brother Jumman Shah had been subjected to torture by Badin police in illegal torture cell. While that person was missing later. Later same day  evening Imam Ali Shah along with his brother Haider Shah and relatives held protest demonstration at main Tando Jan Mohammad Digri road as result traffic was suspended for an hour, while protesters demanded the authorities to take notice of illegal detention of Jumman Shah by Badin police in alleged private torture cell . On the assurance of SHO Tando Jan Mohammad police that Jumman shah will be produced in the concerned court on Saturday May 29 by the Badin police on which protesters dispersed and traffic was restored. Later, talking to local newsmen, Imam Ali Shah, his brother Haider Shah and their mother told that they were resident of Dajero Mori, district Badin while Tando Ghulam Ali police had been picked up Jumman Shah  about two months ago without any cause and kept them still in illegal captivity, while during this they had been sent various complaints to higher authorities but no vain. They added that his arresting was not yet show in the police record and feared that he will be kill in fake encounter. They appealed the chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chohadhry, provincial police officer, RPO Hyderabad and other concerned officers to take immediate notice and action be taken into this matter, ensure immediate releasing of the detained Jumman Shah from illegal wrongful confinement and punish the involved police officials. Area people told the local newsmen that Khuda Bux Ranjhani, ASI and incharge police post Budho Qambrani of police station Tando Ghulam Ali, district Badin had been setup torture cell in his bunglow where suspected activities were seen of police officials while 4 unknown persons were detained there for last 2 months for money extortion . They further accused that above ASI has been shifted a heavy thing folded in a cloth Chadar from his bungalow to unknown destination in a car. Police picket has also been setup near the bungalow. When contacted DPO Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Shaikh said that he had been ordered the inquiry into this matter and SPO Jhuddo was the inquiry officer who has not yet been submitted the inquiry report and as he will receive the inquiry report he will take action under the recommendations of the inquiry report.


MIRPURKHAS May 28. Additional sessions court 1 Mirpurkhas has been set free to 23 peasants including women and children of Oad community here on Friday following recording their statements. Report said that Nihaal Oad had been moved an application into the court of district and sessions court Mirpurkhas complaining that his relatives were detained at the agriculture farm of landlord Wazeer Mari in the limit of Phuladyyoon police station while they were not allowed to move free even they were deprived of health facilities as well as their crop share. He requested the court to order to concerned police for early recovery of the detained bonded labour. On Thursday on the order of session’s court, Phuladyyoon police carried out raid at the spot and released 23 peasants including Peral, Mohan, Hathio, Kanji, Sahab Chand, Ms Saran, Ms Wera, Ms Kareema etc. Phuladyyoon police have produced the recovered bonded labours in the session’s court.

MIRPURKHAS May 28. Scores of villager’s resident of nearby areas of Mirpurkhas sugar mill have taken out protest rally here on Friday from railway station roundabout to protest against the disposal of dangerous effluents in LBOD drain by management of Mirpurkhas sugar mill. Protesters led by Tanveer Baloch, Rafique Siaal and Ch Tufail , carried banners and placards marched through main roads. They chanted slogans against the mill management and demanded the government to take immediately notice and stop releasing the dangerous wastage of the Unicol Alcohol plant of Mirpurkhas sugar mill in LBOD drain. They reached at the local press club where speaking at the protesters Tanveer Baloch, Rafique Siaal and Ch Tufail accused the mill management of disposing the dangerous wastage in LBOD drain since three years which affected the area people , cattles and barren the hundreds of fertile agriculture land. They alleged that harmful effluents have been posing serious threats to the people and cattles particularly as it had adversely been affected the environment or atmosphere of the region, rendered the barren hundreds of acres of fertile farm land, killed hundreds of cattles including camel, goats, sheep, cow, buffalos etc after drinking the dangerous wastage of the drain. They expressed that dangerous effluents had caused of death of fishes after drinking the dangerous effluents. They held responsible to director Nara canal area water board who despite knowing did not stop the releasing of the dangerous wastage in the drain while he has been receiving over 178000 per years for last three years from the mill management to allow it to dispose the dangerous effluents in the drain. They said that under the agreement that had been made between mill management and director Nara canal in 2007 for three years , mill management was allowed to dispose only treated water in the drain and if any loss was occurred then mill management will be bound to pay appropriate compensation to the affectees. They further said that mill management was issuing threats to the affected abadgars and villagers and trying to buy them but they warned that they would not withdraw from their rights. They deplored that Sindh environmental protection agency was paying its silence role in this regard. They said that despite their continuous protest campaign no action was yet taken by the government agencies and government as well as director Nara canal will be responsible to death of any human being if occurred as sofar people including women and children were suffering different kinds of diseases including skin, intestine, stomach, Tuber culauses, Hepatitis etc. They demanded the president , prime minister, chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chohadhry, environmental agencies , human rights organizations , chief justice Sindh high court to take suo moto notice into this matter, provide justice to the affected people, stoppage of disposal of dangerous wastage in the drain and payment of compensation to the affected villagers. Later, a delegation of the protesters led by Tanveer Baloch met with district administrator Ghulam Hussain Memon and apprised him about their grievances and losses had caused of releasing of dangerous effluents in the drain, while district administrator assured the delegation that he will take appropriate action into this matter and force the mill management to pay compensation to the affectees.

MIRPURKHAS May 27. President Pakistan railway Prem union CBA Hafiz Salman Batt has called upon the federal government not to deprive the masses from cheap and saved travel facilities by issuing the order to stoppage the trains running between profited sections in the country including Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad and Karachi . He was talking to newsmen and railway employees at Mirpurkhas railway station soon after his arrival in connection of train march here on Wednesday evening from Hyderabad through train. On this occasion president Karachi division Raja Abdul Mannan, Mir Azam Boneri, Mohammad Khan, Dost Mohammad Unar and Gul Mohammad were also present. He deplored that railway officers and administration had been used badly without any planning to the railway engines, power plants and coaches as result today those things were lying Idle without any look after. He said that railway labour would not be allowed any how to privatize the railway department and we would resist with full power against privatization of the railway. Mr. Batt has held responsible to  chairman railway for railway deficit as he accused that chairman railway was involved in scrap scandal of billions of rupees and under this corruption reference, FIA has been sought the permission from prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani for launching the inquiry from chairman railway . He alleged that secretary railway is the responsible of railway police corruption who is also chairman of railway board and he is designed the duties of railway police. He further said there are complaints of railway police and this department is involved in corruption, he alleged.  He further said that officers of PIA and Wapda are the technical persons but unfortunately unconcerned bureaucrats were posted in railway department as political bribe as result this department is being run professionally with big deficit. He claimed that we would end the operational deficit of railway if this department was handed over to Prem union for two years. Secretary Prem union Khair Mohammad Tunio demanded the government to end the privatization of railway department and increase the 100 percent salaries of the employees and regular the temporary employees.
 
MIRPURKHAS May 27. Mirpurkhas police have saved the newly married couple from being killed in Karokari when police taken them into custody from Ratanabad police check post , while their vehicle was being chased by vehicles of armed persons here on Thursday. Report said that newly married couple Sikandar Ali son of Mohammad Rafique, resident of taluka Jati, district Thatta and his wife Ms Aziza Jat along with other relatives were on their way to Mirpurkhas from Sindh high court circuit bench Hyderabad in a vehicle that armed persons in three vehicles started to chase them as couple reached at Tandoallahyar , a unknown person made telephone to local police apprising that armed persons in different vehicles were chasing the vehicle of couple to kill them and save them from killing by taking them into the custody. Police were alerted and cordoned off the suspected area of Hyderabad Mirpurkhas road led by SPO city Mirpurkhas Mohammad Ayub Dars police took into custody the above couple and their relatives and brought them in town police station for providing protection. During this armed persons reached at the town police station where five persons tried to enter into the town police station but police arrested them while other their accomplices with arms in two vehicles managed to escape from the spot. However town police impounded their one of the vehicle. Following are the detained persons identified as Babo Qambrani, Dad Jat, Mazar Jat, Hamza Dat and Ali Hassan. Taking to newsmen in the town police station,  Sikandar Ali  told that he had been love married with Ms Aziz Jat in February 2010 after which they were residing in district Mirpurkhas however relatives of Ms Aziza including Haji Ameer Malkani and others in his  absence had been occupied his 80 acres agriculture lands including matured of sun flower crop of RS 3 lakhs and also set on fire his house. He said that he had been submitted the petition in the Sindh high court Hyderabad circuit bench which had been granted protection bail them while on Thursday morning , he added that they went to Sindh high court Hyderabad circuit bench on hearing where court was discharge after which they were coming to Mirpurkhas in the vehicle but armed persons in vehicles chased them to kill but local police were informed already in this regard and police launched the checking at police pickets and taken them into custody at Ratanabad police check post and brought them to town police station. He demanded the government and other higher authorities to take notice into this matter, register his case against the armed persons and get removed illegal possession of his land by nabbing the armed occupiers. However no case against the above detained five persons was lodged with town police station till filing of the news. 
 
MIRPURKHAS May 27. Faheem Mughal and his brother Naeem Mughal, resident of Gulshan e Haider colony have accused that some so-called black mailers calling themselves as representatives of a local Urdu newspaper were blackmailing them by different tactics. They alleged that they have been making money extorting from innocent citizens. Speaking at a press conference here on Thursday at local press club, they said that they were representatives of medicine companies but a group of black mailer had been published their baseless and fabricated news in a daily Urdu newspaper Zamana and then contacted on cell phone for dealing but they refused. They further alleged that they were issuing them threats of dire consequences as result condition of their mother was deteriorated after publishing false and fabricated news against them and added that they were taking legal action against the newspaper and above blackmailers by contacting to DPO Mirpurkhas and other police officers
 
MIRPURKHAS May 27. A truck driver was died of sun stroke here on Thursday at Old Iqbal petrol pump. Report said that owing to suffering sun stroke , condition of a truck driver Fayyaz Khan , 34, son of Niaz Khan, resident of Hari Pore Hazara was deteriorated and was removed to emergency of the civil hospital Mirpurkhas where he was died after some time.

MIRPURKHAS May 26. Anti terrorism court Mirpurkhas has been sentence of 7 years imprisonment and fined RS 50000 to accused Malik Imran son of Abdul Sattar of Satellite town Mirpurkhas here on Wednesday while accused will suffer also 6 months imprisonment if he failed to pay fine. Report said that over 6 months ago, unknown persons had been made phone calls on 15 emergency police center Mirpurkhas threatening to police that he will explode the bombs in emergency police center and in the main Shahi Bazaar of Mirpurkhas as result panic was spread in the city. After searching, DPO Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Shaikh had been succeeded to nab the involved accused Malik Imran son of Abdul Sattar resident of Satellite town, while case under section anti terrorism act was already lodged with town police station on behalf of state.
 
MIRPURKHAS May 26. A joint rally of all Sindh Primary teachers association Mirpurkhas district and Masjid school teachers association was taken out on 10th consecutive day of the protest of the primary teachers on Wednesday here from Government Shah Abdul Lateef primary school to Press club in protest against not acceptance of their genuine demands. Despite ongoing severe heat spell hundreds of primary teachers participated in the rally. They marched through main road, carrying banners and placards reached at local press club. Addressing at the protesters district president Haji Mohammad Usman Halepota said that government did not take any kind of notice despite being completed 10 days to their protest campaign. He said that thousands of primary teachers would stage sit in outside the Karachi press club on May 27 to press the government to accept their demands. He said that government should accept their genuine demands as primary teachers of other provinces were already receiving those facilities and only injustice is being made with teachers in Sindh province. He said that they would present also a remember of their charter of demands to Governor Sindh. Rally decided their strategy to go to Karachi on May 27. Those also spoke the protest rally Yaqoob Nohri, Irshad Rajput, Javed Islam, Dhani Bux Narejo and Abdul Rasheed Mari.

He expressed that about 3 and half years ago Alcohol plant was installed in which over 1500 employees were working. He said that wastage of the mill is not harmful as colony of the mill and various villages were situated across the LBOD drain in which mill wastage is being disposed while no person was affecting of effluents of the mill. He said that some waste interested people are trying to make issue against the mill for blackmailing. He expressed that their conspiracy will not get success. He further said that short precautionary measures were being adopted by the mill management and local abadgars as sign boards of danger would be installed across the above drain while people would also be deployed there to apprise the people about losses of the effluents being disposed in the LBOD drain. He said that mini treatment plant on 32 to 40 acres is also being constructed to clean it.

MIRPURKHAS May 25. A senior worker of Pakistan Peoples Party Jhuddo has attempted suicide by burning himself in ward no 6, Kachchi colony at Jhuddo town on Monday night while inmates and neighbours intervened and rushed to rural health center Jhuddo where he was provided first aid however he was referred for LMUH Hyderabad due to his precarious condition. Report received that Baro Mugheri, father of Aarib Mugheri, had been died in past while Aarib Mugheri was residing along with his wife Ms Shaheen, mother Ms Banko and 6 minor children (3 daughters and 3 sons) in a rented house, while his 2 sisters had already been married . He has been making efforts to acquire government job through PPP after coming in power to PPP but he was still deprived of any job as he was neglected by the concerned office bearers of PPP even he was compelled to do labour work and in earning of the daily wages he was not able to pay rent of the house and suffer the house expenses. Report said that daily dispute between him and his wife was occurred for paying the rent and suffering the house expenses. His family was facing starvation as they were failed to pay rent of 6 months to house owner. After being hopeless he hurled the kerosene oil upon him and set on fire himself as result he sustained about 90 percent burn injuries, rushed to rural health center Jhuddo where he was provided first aid and then he was referred to LMUH Hyderabad owing to his serious condition. Report received that his condition is deteriorated as he was fell unconscious and admitted in a government hospital at Karachi at this time; doctors were making efforts to save his live. His wife Ms Shaheen told the media men that after this dangrious incident, no any office bearer of PPP have visited the house of victim Aarib Mugheri even they were not able to suffer the expenses to shift the injured to hospital at Karachi. She held responsible to PPP of attempt to suicide of his husband. She appealed the president Asif Ali Zardari to take immediate notice of ignoring his husband by the party and help of his family. 
 
MIRPURKHAS May 25. Haq Parast MNA Waseem Akhtar has said that Muttehda Quami Movement was making efforts to provide basic facilities to down trodden people while added that providing the electrification to villages in far flung areas also in desert Thar was the part of manifesto of the MQM . He was speaking at the electrification inauguration ceremony at village Piari Ki Dhani, taluka Chachro, and district Tharparkar on Tuesday. Report received that MNA Waseem Akhtar said that Muttehda is now spreading throughout country and masses are joining in big quantity the MQM owing to successful policies of its leader Altaf Hussain. Ex provincial minister Shabbir Ahmed Kaim Khani also spoke the occasion. On this occasion, XEN Hesco Hyderabad Mohammad Saleem giving briefing told that from this scheme cost of RS 58 lakhs and 83000, electricity might be supplied to 3 localities Piari Ki Dhani, Hashim Ki Dhani and Adam Ki Dhani. He said that 41 electrification schemes of other MNAs and MPAs are also under completion in the desert district Tharparkar with estimated cost of RS 216.952 millions. He further said that 26 villages of those schemes have been electrified with cost of RS 85.824 millions while work was continued to provide electricity to remaining 15 villages. He told that under the directives of chief minister Sindh, 28 schemes of electrification with cost of RS 95.602 were being completed while 17 schemes of them have sofar been completed with cost of RS 53.061 millions and added that work was continued at remaining 10 schemes. MIRPURKHAS May 24. Membership camp for women was installed here on Monday at Muttehda Quami Movement MQM Mirpurkhas zone in which hundreds of women get their membership to fill their membership forms. On this occasion, Talking to media men member Interior Sindh Tamzemi committee Hir Soho and Abida Saif Baji said that MQM leader Altaf Hussain has always made talk for rights of women and more than women are joining the party and Tehreek . They further said that MQM wanted to remove the feudal system for establishment of rule of middle class and added that that time is not far when poor and oppressed people would rule on the country. They said that Haq Parast women have been paying their vital role in this Tehreek and rush of women in this camp is the proof that women belong to each walk of life without any discrimination are including in this way of Haq Parasti. On this occasion MQM women wing incharge Mirpurkhas Fouzia Baji, Eishrat and Hameeda Baji were also present.
 
MIRPURKHAS May 24. Protest rally was taken out and sit in was staged by All Sindh primary teachers association and Masjid school teachers association was taken out here on Monday from Government Shah Abdul Lateef primary school to local press club. Hundreds of primary school teachers took part in the protest rally. Addressing at the protesters district president PST association Haji Mohammad Usman Halepota said that despite passing a week to their protest campaign government did not accept their demands and warned that if their demands were not accepted then primary school teachers throughout province would be compelled to surround the Governor house at Karachi on May 27 and would present charter of demand and memory Nama. District president Masjid school teachers association Mehmood Leghari has demanded the Sindh government to accept their demands including teaching allowance, time scale, son quota, death quota and others and issue the notification of these demands without any delay otherwise on the directives of their center, primary school teachers throughout province would stage sit in outside the Sindh assembly building on occasion of presenting the Budget of the Sindh government. Those also spoke Mohammad Yaqoob Nohri, Javed Islam, Ali Hassan Dal, Dhani Bux Narejo and Irshad Rajput.
 
MIRPURKHAS May 24. Dozens of villagers of Deh Aatna, taluka Sindhri have held demonstration at Mirpurkhas Shadi Palli road nearAatna Mori to protest against excesses of ex additional secretary agriculture Sindh Mohammad Ishaque Lashari, who is at present giving his duty as administrative officer in president house Islamabad on Monday. Protesters led by Mohammad Hassan Shar and Chutto Khan Shar, carried banners and placards raised slogans against the above officer Ishaque Lashari. Protesters on this occasion told the media men that above officer had allegedly been acquired thousands of agriculture lands from government account by misusing his office in past and still misusing the status of president house as getting different agriculture farm schemes , construction of Pucca road and water supply scheme while there is no population at his lands except few dozen peoples population. They accused that he was misusing the government machinery also to harass the neighbours as his armed men had been tried to occupy their lands by cultivating forcibly trees into their lands when they resisted, they issued threats of implicating them in false cases. They said that they were poor abadgars and have no power to face his armed men. They demanded the president , prime minister of Pakistan , Chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chohadhry, Sindh chief minister, Governor Sindh and others to take immediate notice into this matter, provide safety them and take legal action against him and his armed men. 

MIRPURKHAS May 24. At least 15 huts in Old cloth bazaar (Lunda Bazaar) Mirpurkhas were completely gutted when fire broke out in nearby hurbs here on Monday. Report said that fire broke out near by hurbs which engulfed the huts of Old cloth bazaar mostly of them were empty and closed . Fire brigade vehicles were called there and fire fighters extinguished the fire after two hours hectic efforts. However, 15 huts were completely ablazed.
 
MIRPURKHAS May 24. Abdul Kareem Sammoon , resident of Umme Hani town has accused that Sikandar Mallah , an influential person had been forcibly kidnapped his wife Ms Shabana from his house on May 17, 2010 in his absence while her abduction case was lodged with Satellite town police station. Addressing at a press conference here on Monday at local press club, he alleged that above abductor Sikandar Mallah is issuing him threats of his killing and kidnapping of his children through telephone. He said that later her wife was forcibly produced in the court at Ghotki but he was failed to present divorce certificate in the court as result her wife was later sent to Darul Aman at Sukkur. He said that he is very poor man and has small children while he could not suffer the expenses of cases. He demanded the Chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chohadhry, chief justice Sindh high court, Governor Sindh, DIG Mirpurkhas, district and sessions judge Mirpurkhas to ensure returning of his wife to him and arresting of kidnapper influential Sikandar Mallah.

MIRPURKHAS May 15. Satellite town police have been booked a person for issuance of threats of dire consequences and attempt to money extortion by the famous Hakeem here on Saturday after being ordered by district and sessions court Mirpurkhas. Report said that Hakeem Sajjad Hassan has lodged the case with Satellite town police station near Makka Masjid at Satellite town accusing that one Abdul Nasir son of Abdul Rahim came to his plot where construction was continued , he demanded him money otherwise he will not allowed to construction at the plot. He added that on his refusal accused Abdul Nasir and two unknown persons manhandled him on the base of arms and fled away from the spot. Victim Hakeem Sajjad Hassan told the media men that accused Abdul Nasir and his accomplices were issuing him of dire consequences to withdraw the case otherwise they would implicate him and his family members in false cases. He said that after the incident, he approached to sessions court Mirpurkhas and on the order of the court, police registered his case. He demanded the DPO Mirpurkhas and other police officers to take immediate notice and ensure arresting of the nominated accused of the case.
 
MIRPURKHAS May 15. Additional sessions Judge 1 Mirpurkhas has been ordered to set free the 26 bonded labours that had been recovered from the illegal confinement in the limit of Kot Ghulam Mohammad police station following recording their statements here on Saturday. Report said that Hero Kolhi had been moved the application in the court of district and sessions court Mirpurkhas complaining that his relatives were detained in illegal captivity of landlord Irshad Kaim Khani at village Irshad Kaim Khani , taluka KGM , while they were not being given their share of crops, health facilities and were forced to take labour work without payment of daily wages. He requested the court to order to concerned police to release them from illegal detention. On the order of the court, SHO Kot Ghulam Mohammad Ghulam Mustafa Leghari carried out raid and recovered the 26 peasants including Bhoro Kolhi, Hero Kolhi, Punno, Kanji, Ropa, Keko, Ramesh, Shremti Burkha, Shremti Baghwatni etc. Released peasants talking to the media men accused that above landlord Irshad Kaim Khani, his supervisor Haider and Munshi had been kidnapped their 3 persons including Satram Kolhi, Rajesh Kolhi and Shremti Parmi wife of Bhoro Kolhi. They further alleged that above landlord had also been snatched gold ornaments of the women and occupied their cattles including 9 cows and 5 goats.

MIRPURKHAS May 14. Kot Ghulam Mohammad police have carried out raid at the lands of landlord Irshad Kaim Khani at village Irshad Kaim Khani in the limit of Kot Ghulam Mohammad taluka here on Friday and released the 26 detained bonded labours from the illegal confinement. Report said that Hemo Kolhi had been moved an application in the district and sessions court Mirpurkhas complaining that his relatives peasants were detained in illegal captivity of the above landlord while they were not being given their share of crops and forced labour work was being taken them . He accused that they were also deprived of health facilities. He requested the court to order to KGM police for their releasing from the wrongful confinement. Sessions court had been ordered to SHO Kot Ghulam Mohammad Ghulam Mustafa Leghari for recovery of the detained bonded labours and producing them in the court. Released peasants Bhoro Kolhi, Hero Kolhi, Punno, Kanji, Ropa and others told the media men that before the raid of local police, above landlord , his supervisor Haider and Munshi had been acquired forcibly gold ornaments from their women  , forcibly taken into custody their 9 cows and 5 goats and then allegedly kidnapped their 3 persons identified as Satram Kolhi, Rajesh Kolhi and Shremti Parmi Kolhi wife of Bhoro Kolhi . The recovered bonded labours would be produced in the session’s court on Saturday

MIRPURKHAS May 12. President district bar association Mirpurkhas Salahuddin Panhwer has said that names of Martyrds who had given their live sacrifices during lawyers struggle on incident of May 12th day had been written in the history . Speaking at the meeting of the bar association held here on Wednesday, he paid rich tributes to those lawyers had been Martyrds during lawyers struggle. He said that no any hurdle will be bear for injustice and independent of judiciary. He demanded the judiciary to take suo moto notice of May 12th day and punish exemplary to involved persons and provide justice to the affected people. Those also spoke Moula Bux Raho, Shoukat Rahimoon, Akhtar Panhwer, Nasir Ahmed Khan etc. Earlier on behalf of the bar protest rally was taken out in the premises of district and sessions court Mirpurkhas while lawyers have boycotted completely the court proceedings today.
 
MIRPURKHAS May 12. At least 25 bonded labours including women and children were produced in the sessions court Mirpurkhas here on Wednesday who were recovered from illegal confinement of two different landlords in Kot Ghulam Mohammad and Phuladyyoon police stations while they were set free by the court after recording their statements. Report said that on the directives of sessions court Mirpurkhas , Kot Ghulam Mohammad police carried out raid at the farmland of Rais Ahmed Khan Bhurgari in the limit of KGM police and recovered 15 bonded labours , while Walji Kolhi had been moved application in the sessions court stating that 15 peasants were detained at the land of above landlord where they were not allowed to move freely, deprived of health facilities as well as their shares of crop. In another application submitted by Mousa Manganhar to sessions court, apprising that his relatives 10 peasants were detained in wrongful confinement at the land of landlord Gul Mohammad Halepota  in the limit of Phuladyyoon police station, while they were not being provided their share of crops even not allowed to move freely. 
 
MIRPURKHAS May 12. Various shopkeepers of Jameel Shaheed road Mirpurkhas have created alleged hurdle in the action of special magistrate and DDO revenue Mirpurkhas taluka and officials of TMA Mirpurkhas to remove the encroachments and blocked the Jameel Shaheed road for some time as result traffic was suspended here on Wednesday. When contacted DDO revenue taluka Mirpurkhas Ammara Aamir Khattak told that she had been served the notices under section 3 remove of encroachment act to the encroachers at Jameel Shaheed road over a month back as they had taken been time for a month. She said that today she as special magistrate along with TMA officials including encroachment inspector Mehmood and others reached at Jameel Shaheed road and as fined RS 2000 at shopkeeper Zeeshan that various shopkeepers gathered there and blocked the Jameel Shaheed road even instigated the other shopkeepers to hold protest and created hurdle in her action to remove the illegal encroachments. She said that legal action against the culprits was in process.

MIRPURKHAS May 12. Dozens of Baloch community people have held protest demonstration in premises of the civil hospital Mirpurkhas to protest against alleged negligence of staff of Gynecology ward of the civil hospital Mirpurkhas here on Wednesday, while talking to newsmen protesters Javed Baloch, Ashraf Baloch and others accused that deceased Ms Sana Baloch was not checked by the lady doctor in Gyne ward and alleged that staff nurses injected her wrong injection as result she died. They demanded the administration of the hospital to take action against the involved staff. When contacted to civil surgeon of civil hospital Mirpurkhas Dr Asghar Arain said that Ms Sana Baloch, 20, wife of Javed Baloch was brought first at Gyne ward on April 27th  and lady doctors checked her and advised of ultrasound and provided treatments after which she had been left the hospital . He further said that her delivery was made at unknown place and outside the civil hospital Mirpurkhas while she was brought on April 29th again at civil hospital and after getting treatment she left again the hospital and she was again brought on May 8th in civil hospital in unconscious and serious condition. She said that she was admitted first in medical ward and then shifted in Gyne ward while her husband Javed Baloch was apprised that her condition was in serious as her need to be admitted in ICU ward that was in LMUH Hyderabad after which he said that he himself arranged the ambulance and provide the necessary medicine and sent to LMUH Hyderabad where she remained two days in ICU ward at LMUH Hyderabad after which she was died. She said that in this connection he had ordered the departmental inquiry which revealed that her delivery was made outside the civil hospital Mirpurkhas and not any doctor nor any staff of the hospital committed any negligence in treatment of the deceased. 

میرپورخاص (رپورٹ /وفاق خان )اسپیشل افراد باہمت ہیں اور ان کا کھیل صرف کھیل کی حد تک نہیں بلکہ ایک سسٹم اور نیٹ ورک ہے جس کے ذریعے اسپیشل نوجوانوں کی زیادہ سے زیادہ حوصلہ افزائی کی جاسکتی ہے۔ان خیالات کا اظہار ڈی ڈی او ریوینیو کوٹ غلام محمد عامر خٹک نے آل پاکستان گلستان معذورین وہیل چیئر کرکٹ ٹورنامنٹ کے فائنل کی تقریب میں خطاب کرتے ہوئے کیا ۔اس موقع پر ڈی ڈی او ریوینیو میرپورخاص عمارہ خٹک،پروجیکٹ ڈائریکٹر کراچی فرید یوسفانی،سرپرست آفاق احمد خان،جاوید ملک،حفیظ سرہیواور دیگر موجود تھے۔عامر خٹک نے کہا کہ معذور نوجوانوں میں یہ جوش و جذبہ دیکھ کر بہت خوشی ہو رہی ہے اور اسی جذبہ کے تحت یہ باہمت نوجوان زندگی کے ہر میدان میں ترقی حاصل کرسکتے ہیں۔وہیل چیئرکرکٹ ٹورنامنٹ کا فائنل گلستان معذورین میرپورخاص اور مائل اسٹون اسلام آباد کی ٹیموں کے مابین کھیلا گیا جسے ایک سخت مقابلے کے بعد اسلام اباد کی ٹیم نے 23 رنز سے جیت لیا۔ بعد ازاں مہمان خصوصی عامر خٹک نے اسلام آباد کے کپتان آغا حسنین کو ونر ٹرافی اور میرپورخاص کے کپتان علی نواز کو رنر اپ ٹرافی دی۔اس سے قبل تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے گلستان معذورین کے سرپرست آفاق احمد خان،صدر جاوید ملک،اسلام آباد کے شفیق الرحمٰن،مردان کے اسد اللہ، ملتان کے اصف اقبال،نواب شاہ کے عابد لاشاری،سانگھڑ کے غلام نبی نظامانی سمیت حیدرآباد اور کراچی کے نمائندوں نے کہا کہ میرپورخاص میں لگاتار دوسری مرتبہ آل پاکستان وہیل چیئر کرکٹ ٹورنامنٹ کا انعقاد اس بات کا ثبوت ہے کہ پورے ملک کے اسپیشل نوجوان متحد ہورہے ہیں۔ انہوں نے ضلعی حکومت کے تعاون کا شکریہ ادا کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ اگر حکومتی سطح پر مستقل بنیادوں پر اسپیشل کھلاڑیوں کی سرپرستی کی جائے تو یہ تعلیم یافتہ،باہمت اور باصلاحیت اسپیشل کھلاڑی ملکی و غیر ملکی سطح پر ملک کا نام روشن کرسکتے ہیں۔انہوں نے حکومت پر زور دیا کہ معذور افراد کے لئے دو فیصد کوٹہ پر عملدرآمد کے ساتھ ساتھ وہیل چیئر استعمال کرنے والوں کی سہولت کے لئے بسوں،پلیٹ فارموں اور مارکیٹوں میں ریمپ(ڈھلوان سطح)بنوائی جائیں۔کالونی گراؤنڈ میں منعقدہ دوسرے آل پاکستان گلستان معذورین وہیل چیئر کرکٹ ٹورنامنٹ میں اسلام آباد،مردان،ملتان،کراچی، حیدرآباد، نواب شاہ،سانگھڑ اور میرپورخاص کے اسپیشل کرکٹ کھلاڑیوں نے تماشائیوں کو اپنی عمدہ بیٹنگ،نپی تلی باؤلنگ اور چابک دست فیلڈنگ سے بہت متاثر کیا اور دور دور سے آنے والے شائقین کرکٹ کی بڑی تعداد نے اپنی نوعیت کے منفرد انداز کرکٹ سے لطف اٹھایا۔

MIRPURKHAS May 11. EDO education Mirpurkhas Abdul Jalil Lashari has paid surprise visits of different schools of Kot Mirus, taluka Kot Ghulam Mohammad here on Tuesday and suspended the absent teachers and staff including Anwer, Wazeer Hussain, Dongromal, Wilayat Ali, Hassan Bux , Allah Bux Bhuljimal, Talha, Noor Mohammad , Talib , Saleem, Ashfaque , clerks Shakir, Khair Mohammad, Peon Noor Mohammad , Chokidar Basheer, Saman Malhi of government boys high school Kot Mirus, absent headmistress of Government girls middle school Kot Mirus Hawwa, Peon Abdul sattar, absent headmistress of government girls primary school Mir Zadi, teachers Zeenat Mustufa, Shehnaz Habib, Santook Ambaram, Peon Mohammad Bux Kamal, absent teachers of government primary school Sobdar Leghari, Habibur Rehman, Peon Abdul Rehman, teacher of government primary school Sofiabad Nasreen Akhtar, teachers of government girls primary school Hari Khan Kaloi Naseem Akhtar and Azra. According to a handout issued here on Tuesday. On this occasion, he warned the teachers to pay their duty with sinciarity otherwise absent teachers would go to their homes. He further said that under the directives of Sindh government, teachers where are in large quantity in a school would transfer to other schools according to their requirement and warned that those teachers would not pay their duty would be suspended. He said that salaries and training to teachers are being given under the help of World Bank. He said that if the government teachers would not pay their duties with sincerity then government schools would be privatized.

MIRPURKHAS May 10. A newly married couple, resident of Bodal Farm , district Umerkot has demanded the government, judiciary, Media and civil society to provide them protection from being killed and implicating in false cases. Addressing at a joint press conference here on Monday at local press club Niaz Ali Kalar and his wife Ms Eido Kalar told that they had been married on May 7, 2010 at Satellite town Mirpurkhas with their willings while as news of their marriage reached till their relatives, Jan Mohammad father of Ms Eido Kalar, her uncle Mohammad Ibrahim, brother Mohammad Hashim and others issued threats on mobile cell phone to implicate them in different false cases and killing in Karokari. They said that after receiving threats from their relatives, there are feeling themselves in danger and were passing their life in fear atmosphere. They urged the government, judiciary, Media and civil society to provide protection to their lives and properties and accused that above relatives would be responsible if they suffer any loss.

MIRPURKHAS May 10. Vice president of Sindh abadgar board district Mirpurkhas chapter Haji Abdul Ghafoor Maher advocate has expressed grave concern over the injustice in water distribution by irrigation officials in Mitharo division causing acute shortage of water in tail of the distributaries. In a press statement issued here on Monday , he deplored that rotation programme is being implemented in Mithrao, Jamrao and Thar divisions to ensure water supply till tail end abadgars incase of acute shortage of water in Nara canal but unfortunately under rotation programme, the abadgars of channels, distributaries and minors fed by Mithrao canal were getting irrigation water each 21 days as result their crop was damaged without water as need of providing water  within 15 days to save the crop and such growers and abadgars suffering big losses even they were failed to sow cotton sowing at their lands, while abadgars of distributaries , channels and minors fed by Jamrao and Thar canals were acquiring the irrigation water under rotation programme within 15 days as result their crop was saved from damages. He alleged that it is the open injustice with abadgars getting water from Mithrao canal. He accused that despite this injustice, water under approved gauge of the channels was not being supplied to distributaries and minors of Mithrao canal causing great hardships to the growers as they were unable to provide the water to their cultivated cotton, sugar cane and other crops. They alleged that water through illegal pipes was openly being stolen with connivance of XEN Mithrao and other officials in different distributaries and minors causing dryness in tail of the distributaries. He deplored that lakhs of fertile agriculture  land of tail end areas had also been barren owing to continue shortage of water. He demanded the Sindh chief minister, minister for irrigation, secretary irrigation and director Nara canal to take notice into this matter, remove the illegal pipes from the canals , stop water theft through tempered water courses and ensure water supply till tail end abadgars to save the crops of the poor landlords.
