MIRPURKHAS July 29. Death of one of the seriously injured Mohammad Asif Sammoon , 26, who had been seriously injured in armed clash between two groups of Sammoon community, has led the protest demonstration at Mirwah Mirpurkhas road near village Makhan Sammoon here on Wednesday. Report said that Mohammad Asif Sammoon , 26, who was admitted in the hospital at Karachi, was died of his bullet wounds on Wednesday morning while as news of his death reached at his village Makhan Sammoon , hundreds of villagers blocked the main Mirpurkhas Mirwah road and burnt the tyres as result traffic was suspended for various hours . Heavy contingents of police were already present there. Protesters demanding the authorities to ensure immediate arresting of the nominated accused and punished them exemplary. It may be recalled that two days back, on a petty matter, armed clash was occurred between two groups of Sammoon community at village Makhan Sammoon in which people ofboth sides resorted strait firing as result four persons were seriously injured including Mohammad Asif, Mohammad Yousuf, Mohammad Javed and Ibrahim , all by caste Sammoon . They were rushed to civil hospital where after providing first aid, two of the injured Mohammad Yousuf and Mohammad Asif were referred for LMUH Hyderabad due to their precarious condition. While other two injured were admitted in surgical ward. All the four injured had suffered bullet injuries. Owing to armed clash, various families of the village Makhan Sammoon had been shifted to other villages while panic remained prevail in the affected area. Police picket had also been setup there to control the situation. While angry villagers had also been set on fire a shop and an Autaque of their opponent. However fire was extinguished by fire brigade officials with hectic efforts of two hours. A group of Sammoon community was supported by PPP and PML (Q) was supporting to other group. Caseof this incident was lodged under section 324, 147, 148, 149 and 504 PPC with taluka police station on the complaint of Ameer Ahmed Sammoon against the accused Mohammad Ali Sammoon, Ghulam Mohammad alias Gullo Sammoon, Mir Mohammad alias Manda, Yousuf , Zaheer and Niaz. Police were yet failed to nab any nominated accused of the case. While on the report of reaching the accused in the local court for getting bail before arrest, heavy contingents of police were deployed in surrounding of the court premises and started checking of people entering into the court. When contacted DPO Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Shaikh confirmed the death of injured Mohammad Asif Sammoon and said that heavy contingents of police were already deployed at the village Makhan Sammoon to avert any untoward incident and added that any body created law and order problem will face the legal action. He said that situation is in control at this time.

MIRPURKHAS July 29. A teenager young has committed suicide by hanging himself with a tree in ward no 2, Kot Ghulam Mohammad town on Tuesday night. Report said that Raj Kumar, 16, son of Ramchand, after being angry from his mother has taken serious step to hang him. His body was brought at taluka hospital Kot Ghulam Mohammad for legal formality after which his body was handed over to his heirs.

MIRPURKHAS July 28. Jumma Khan Jhundeer, resident of Shah Colony has accused that his nephew Babar Ali Jhundeer was implicated in false attempt to murder case by town police on the behest of PPP district ladies wing office bearer after dispute between innocent Babar Ali Jhundeer and his wife. Addressing at a press conference here on Tuesday, he said that there had been created dispute between Babar Ali Jhandeer and his wife after which Mohammad Ibrahim , Qurban and Abdul Sattar Jhundeer came to his house , issued him threats of dire consequences and taken away their sister wife of Babar Ali and her ‘Jahaiz goods’. He alleged that Shamim Jhundeer, office bearer of PPP ladies wing forced the town police to lodge the attempted to murder case against innocent Babar Ali, he added . He said that above PPP office bearer was misuing his party power even did not hear them also. He said that above Shamim Jhundeer is defaming the PPP here by her illegal work. He demanded the president Asif Ali Zardari, Sindh Chief minister, Provincial police officer, RPO, DIG Mirpurkhas and DPO Mirpurkhas to take immediately notice into this matter, take action against the above office bearer and withdraw the false case against innocent Babar Ali Jhundeer.

MIRPURKHAS July 28. DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon has directed the concerned to make effective and prompt measures to control the pollution and smoke of the cotton factories, increasing the pollution. He was presiding over a meeting of owners of cotton factories here on Tuesday. He said that pollution and smoke of the cotton factories were not only dangerous for atmosphere while dangerous for people as different dangerous diseases were created by them. He directed the factory owners to implement on environment protection act strictly to prevent the poisonous smoke and pollution from spreading in the environment. He asked Irfan Ahmed Abbasi, administrative incharge of environmental protection agency to bind the owners of the cotton factories to install environment protection plant in their cotton factories with the help of environment agency. Irfan Ahmed Abbasi, administrative incharge of environmental protection agency briefed in detail the meeting about the diseases spread with smoke and pollution of cotton factories and their losses.

MIRPURKHAS July 27. Four villagers were seriously injured when armed clash occurred between two groups of Sammoon community at Makhan Sammoon village, in union council Makhan Sammoon, taluka Mirpurkhas here on Monday night. Report said that armed clash occurred between two groups of Sammoon community in which arms were used as result four persons sustained serious bullet injuries identified as Mohammad Asif , Mohammad Yousuf, Javed and Ibrahim , all by caste Sammoon, rushed to civil hospital where they were provided first aid. Two of them Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Yousuf were referred for Liaqat Medical University hospital LMUH Hyderabad due to their precarious condition. While other two injured were admitted in surgical ward of the hospital. Cause behind the armed clash might not be ascertained till filing of the news. After the armed clash, taluka police were reached at the spot and setup picket there to avert further untoward incident. Howeverfollowing the armed clash, scores of relatives of the injured villagers have held protest demonstration at Mirwah Mirpurkhas road near Makhan Sammoon village and blocked the main road by creating hurdles as result traffic was stopped. Protesters demanding the authorities to arrest the involved culprits without any delay. The above main road was blocked and protester was continued there till filing of the news.

MIRPURKHAS July 26. A teenager young was drawn in the LBOD drain near Balochabad on Sunday. Report said that Sabo Kolhi, 16, a Shepard was taking bath in the left bank outfall drain that he was drawn , while his body was fished out by the villagers.

MIRPURKHAS July 26. Naib Ameer Jamaat e Islami Mirpurkhas Azizur Rehman has accused that citizens are facing difficulties due to stagnant rainy water at the different places in the city. In a press statement issued here on Sunday, He said that after Friday rainfall rainy water had been accumulated at the main roads and streets of the city while low lying areas were inundated under the rainy water. He alleged that despite passing three months rainy water is still accumulated at Toorabad, in front of Zila Nazim office and in front of NADRA office Mirpurkhas etc. He said that rainfall has exposed the efficiency of the TMA Mirpurkhas. He demanded the administration to immediately make arrangements in emergency to drain out the stagnant rainy water from the city and low lying areas.

MIRPURKHAS July 26. President Sindh para medical staff welfare association Nazeer Ahmed Detho has said that Sindh government has been cancelled the election of June 9 , 2009 of fake association namely Sindh Para medical staff welfare association Karachi with immediate affect after receiving the documentation proofs against one Mohammad Musharraf running that fake association. In a press statement issued here on Sunday. He said that above person had been violated rules and regulation of the government and was involved in alleged corruption. He accused that he along with his accomplices had tried to blackmail the officers through his fake association but office bearers of our association timely apprised the government officers and provided documentation proofs against him as result Dr Badar Jameel Menhdro took step and failed the deep conspiracy to save the government officers from his blackmailing. He expressed that above person had already been sackedfrom government job in charges of corruption. He said that if any officer was blackmail from his illegal activities then should contact with his association’s office bearers. He said that all the problems of para medical staff would be resolved with negotiations with government and in this connection a committee of the association will soon be setup to negotiate with government officer in this regard.

MIRPURKHAS July 26. A seriously injured belong to Rind community was died of his serious wounds in civil hospital Hyderabad on Sunday, while people of Rind community along with leaders of Awami Tehreek including Dr Rasool Bux, Ghulam Rasool and Ali Hassan Chandio have staged protest demonstration at Kot Mirus town , taluka Kot Ghulam Mohammad to keep the body of deceased at Main Mirwah Gorchani and Kot Ghulam Mohammad road , demanding the authorities to register the murder case and arresting of the involved culprits . Protesters also brought the body at Kot Ghulam Mohammad town and held protest demonstration in front of press club KGM to keep the body in front of press club. They urged the authorities to take notice and ensure registration of murder case and apprehending of the culprits. Report said that Ali Nawaz Rind was seriously injured along with various others during armed clash between Rind and Meo Rajput community people occurred on June 20, 2009at Village Ishaque Meo near Kachehlo farm in which sticks and axes were freely used. The injured were rushed at taluka hospital Kot Ghulam Mohammad where first aid was provided them and some of them were admitted there, however, Ali Nawaz Rind was seriously injured and was referred for LMUH Hyderabad. Qehar Khan Rind had lodged the case under section 324 against the 17 accused including Naimat, Aslam and Mehboob. When contacted head Moharrar of KGM police station told that no accused of this case was arrested while above case is being changed into the murder case after death of injured Ali Nawaz Rind.

MIRPURKHAS July 25. Light rain occurred in the city and its adjacent areas here on Saturday while the stagnant rainy water from main chowks and roads of the city is being drained out through various pumping machines of the taluka Municipal administration Mirpurkhas installed at different places. During the last two days intermittent rainfall, some persons had been injured due to falling of Katcha houses at Mirwah Gorchani and Jhilori. Report said that heavy rainfall had also been damaged the standed crops of the cotton and chili in different taluka of the district. Light rain had caused of closing the various shops in different markets and shopping centers of the city. Roads became slippery however; different areas of the city are also facing shortage of water. Taluka Nazim Mirpurkhas Ghulam Dastageer Kamali, while talking to this scribe said that half a dozen pumping machines were being operated at different places in the city to drain out the stagnantrainy water through Nullahs. He further said that we had drained out the stagnant rainy water yesterday morning (Friday) from roads and chowks of the city but in evening again rainfall started as result rainy water again accumulated at the main chowks and roads of the city and added that he is facing difficulties due to bursting of various power transformers in the city as without power water supply is adversely affecting in the city. He said that he is making efforts to overcome the power crisis by repairing of the faulty transformers and ensure draining out the stagnant rainy water from the city and low lying areas. Meanwhile, DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon and DPO Muneer Ahmed Shaikh have visited the different parts of the city and directed to ensure arrangements of draining out the stagnant rainy water from roads and chowks of the city. They visited the old Khipro bus stand, railway station road, post office chowk, civil hospital etc. On thisoccasion, DCO said that he has been directed the all DDO revenues to prepare reports regarding the losses of crops, houses and cattles and submit him immediately. He asked the irrigation officers to ensure strict watch of the banks of canals to save the distributaries and canals from any breach. DCO Mirpurkhas also visited the different areas of the Jhuddo and Digri taluka and directed the concerned officials to ensure draining out the stagnant rainy water from roads and low lying areas. Report said that one person Qasim Lashari was injured when a Autaque at village Ayub Lashari near Jhilori was collapsed. The injured was rushed to civil hospital for first aid. Few persons were injured when a wall of a Katcha house was fell down. The injured were provided first aid at rural health center Mirwah Gorchani while their names might not be ascertained till filing of the news.


MIRPURKHAS July 25. About 30 feet wide breach was developed in the Bilaro Shakh near Mirwah Gorchani here on Friday late night as result irrigation water was gushing into the standed cotton, chili and other crops, while few villages of leghari community were affected the irrigation water. Irrigation authorities have stopped the water supply in Bilaro Shakh immediately that was fed by West Jamrao canal. Report said that this canal was being run by farmer organization FO but no office bearers of FO was reportedly reached at the spot in night. As the information received, DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon along with concerned irrigation officers reached at the spot and examined the situation. While irrigation officials have plugged the breach with the hectic efforts of villagers on Saturday noon. Over 500 lands were inundated under the irrigation water after occurring the breach.


MIRPURKHAS July 25. No strike was observed here on Saturday on the call of the JSQM as all the markets and bazaars remained opened. Traffic was thin due to stagnant rainy water. Police patrolling was intensified in the city while police officials were deployed at the main chowks and roads of the city as well as enter and exit ways of the city to check the vehicles.


MIRPURKHAS July 25. Cotton crop that is on the stage of ball formation and picking was facing more than pest attack particularly in those taluka situated in tail of the district. Report said that cotton crop was sowed or cultivated late in the district due to acute shortage of irrigation water. Taluka Digri and Jhuddo were in tail of the district regarding availability of irrigation water as result acute shortage of water remained there as result cotton crop was weak and more than pest attacked upon the cotton crop. Those pests attacked the cotton crop including Thrip, Jassid and whitefly. When contacted Yar Mohammad Khaskheli, deputy district officer agriculture headquarter Mirpurkhas said that pest attack is in control as growers and farmers have been advised the proper dose of pesticide including confider(Bayor), Acifit (FMC) and Polo (Syngenta). He said that after spray of the above pesticide pest attack is controlled. He told that present rainfallis in the benefit of the cotton and other crops as pest attack will be decreased particularly in taluka Ghuddo and Digri where more than rainfall occurred. He said that growers should now give Urea fertilizers to cotton crop after rainfall that will be more than in benefit of the crop. He told that there was officially fixed the cotton sowing target of 40000 hectors of the district while cotton was sowed at 40056 hectors. He said that field officials of the agriculture department were in contact with growers to advise them regarding the cotton and other crops.

Mirpurkhas board of intermediate and secondary education BISE has been announced the result of annual examination 2009 of secondary school certificate Part ii (class -x) general and oriental group here on Thursday. In the boys’ positions, Jam Zaheer Ali Khan son of Jam Madad Ali Khan Junejo of government high school Nawabad, district Sanghar has secured 1st position by obtaining 693 marks. Abdul Razzaque son of Ali Mohammad Kumbhar of government high school Ghulam Nabishah gained second position by getting 676 marks. Mohammad Siddique s/o Mubarik Nohri of M.D. Oriental and arts Degree College H.M Alam Palli acquired 3rd position by achieving 657 marks. In girls’ positions, Raj Bibi d/o Mohammad Ramzan of government girls’ high school Sakariari secured first position by getting 631 marks. Kaneez Fatima d/o Mohammad Siddique of government girls’ high school Jhilori acquired second position by gaining 597 marks. Shazia d/o Sadaruddin of government girls’ high school Laldino Nizamani obtained 3rd position by achieving 591 marks. Total 2 candidates in grade A-1, 47 candidates in grade A, 191 candidates in grade B, 149 candidates in grade C, 35 candidates in grade D were passed . Such the result of successful percentage remained 90.40 percent.



MIRPURKHAS July 23. A soldier of 2 Sindh Regiment Shehzad Pervaz, 28, son of Mohammad Aslam Pervez, resident of Gulshan colony Mirpurkhas was martyrd(Shaheed) in the battle with militants in Swat valley on July 22, was laid to rest with full military protocol in Bhansinghabad graveyard here on Thursday. He was unmarried. His body was brought in morning here and was laid to rest among hundreds of people including Brigadare 51 Brigade Imran, colonel of 27 Sindh Regiment Asad and dozens of military personnel. On this occasion full Military protocol was given to the Martyrd soldier while flower wreaths were also laid on his grave on behalf of President of Pakistan, chief of army staff and general officer commanding 18 division Hyderabad.

MIRPURKHAS July 23. Hundreds of residents of Lalchandabad, Gharibabad, Khad plot, Pak colony, Rajar colony, etc including children have held protest demonstration here on Wednesday night at Sir Syed road to protest against the prolong load shedding . Protesters blocked the main Sir Syed road by closing the Sindhri railway phattak, while they burnt also old tyres at different places. They raised slogans against the hesco officials demanding the chairman hesco to end load shedding. Talking to media men, protesters deplored that one side Hesco issuing inflation bills to the consumers, instead to decrease the load shedding time. They accused that Hesco officers had been failed to stop the power theft while they were issuing fake detection bills to consumers to cover their recoveries. They said that hesco officials are bound to make load shedding 6 hours in cities and 8 hours in rural areas while 10 hours load shedding is being made in Mirpurkhas city insteadto do 6 hours load shedding. They demanded the chairman Wapta to take immediate notice into this matter, reduce the load shedding time and stoppage of inflated bills to consumers. Town police reached at the spot and after two hours, police restore the traffic at Sir Syed road by opening the railway Phattak.



MIRPURKHAS July 23. Senior local journalist and his accomplices were seriously injured when a car hit their bike at Mirwah road in Satellite town here on Thursday. Report said that Syed Zahir Shah, local journalist and Mohammad Amin Zakirya were on their way that a speedy car hit their bike from back side as result they fell down and sustained serious injuries. The unknown car fled away from the spot. Both the injured were brought at civil hospital where they were provided first aid and then admitted in the surgical ward of the hospital. Injured Mohammad Amin Zakirya told the media men that he has been identified the attackers who had tried to kill them and added that he will disclose their names in the FIR.



MIRPURKHAS July 23. Hundreds of people of Mir Ka plot and Hirabad have held protest demonstration at Hirabad chowk to protest against failure of hesco officials to restore power supply of Mir Ka plot since three days here on Thursday night. Enraged protesters blocked the roads by creating hurdles while burnt also old tyres. They attacked upon the Hesco Hirabad sub division complaint office, ransacked the furniture and set on fire the complaint office while the officials fled away from the spot to see the enraged protesters. They raised slogans against the hesco officials and demanding the government to take immediate notice, restore power supply of their area. Town police reached at the spot but did not intervene to stop the enraged protesters to ablaze the complaint office. Protesters told the media men that three days ago, transformer of their area was bursted but still hesco officials failed to restore the power supply by repairing their faultytransformer. No hesco officer was reached at the spot to hold negotiation with the enraged protesters. However, demonstration was continued till filing of the news.

MIRPURKHAS July 21. An assistant sub inspector of Satellite town police station was crushed to death by a speedy coaster in front of SP investigation office Mirpurkhas near railway under ground bridge in the limit of town police station here on Tuesday while the unknown coaster driver managed to escape from the spot leaving the coaster . Report said that ASI Mohammad Iqbal Bajwa , 45, son of Mohammad Khan Bajwa, resident of Sialkot , was returning to Satellite town police station on his bike after his hearing in the local court that a speedy coaster no 0444 collided him even crushed him to death on the spot. The unknown driver managed to escape from the spot despite deployment of police personnels outside the SP investigation office Mirpurkhas some distance away of the spot. The body of the deceased ASI was brought at civil hospital where legal formality was made. Doctors told that deceased ASI had suffered serious head injuries and multiple fractures oflegs and hands. His body was brought at police ground Mirpurkhas where his funeral was held that was attended by police officers and officials including DIG Mirpurkhas Mushtaque Maher and DPO Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Shaikh. Later the body was sent to district Narewal, ancestral district of the deceased for burial. Town police have impounded the involved coaster and searching of its escaped driver. No case of this incident was registered till filing of the news.

MIRPURKHAS July 21. Ameer Jamaat e Islami Sindh Asadullah Bhutto advocate has said that little rainfall in Karachi has caused of accumulation of rainy water and exposed the inefficiency of city Nazim and town nazims . He accused that National exchequer was looted on the pretext of beautification work while saying that whole Karachi has been inundated under the knee deep rainy water due to not cleaning of rainy Nullahs. He further said that foreign powers were taken decisions regarding the country’s economics and taxes instead of country’s parliament as daily different taxes on petrol, electricity and other items were levied by the government. He was talking to newsmen here on Monday night in the marriage ceremony of brother of district Ameer Mirpurkhas Ahsan Ilahi Mughal. He alleged that poor masses were facing acute poverty in the country while government was receiving 41 percent taxes by imposing different duties on the electricity on the behest offoreign powers. He deplored that expected announcement to increase further in power tariff is excess with the masses. He advised the government to reduce the number of ministers and advisors to decrease the expenses and provide the relief to the masses. He expressed that standing crops are destroying due to acute shortage of water in the country while the prime minister of Pakistan Yousuf Raza Gilani was holding meeting with prime minister of India but he did not mention the stoppage of river water by India and Kashmir problem. He said that prime minister of Pakistan should raise massively the matter of under construction 62 Indian dams and Kishan Ganga project.
MIRPURKHAS July 20. Scores of Bheel community people including women, resident of village Mubarak Rind, taluka Chachchro, district Tharparkar have held protest demonstration here on Monday outside local press club to protest against the occupying of their houses by influential landlord Janib Khan Rind. Protesters led by Lakho and Kheraj Bheel, carried banners and placards, raised slogans against the influential landlord and demanded the higher authorities to take legal action against the illegal occupiers. On this occasion, talking to newsmen, Lakho, Kheraj, Gango, Aayodan and others told that they had come to bairaj areas for labour work due to drought like situation in desert during this influential landlord Janib Khan Rind with the help of Abdul Aziz, Tajo Khan, Ali Akbar and others occupied their houses . They deplored that as they returned to their houses found illegal possession of above landlord. They alleged that they threatened of direconsequences them when they resisted. They warned that this land is in their possession and they are owner of that land. They said that they are poor and do labour work. They told that they had been repeated complaints to concerned authorities but no vain. They demanded the Sindh chief minister, Governor Sindh, chief secretary, provincial police officer PPO, RPO Hyderabad, DIG Mirpurkhas and DPO Tharparkar to take immediately notice into this matter, remove the illegal possession and register their case against the illegal occupiers.

MIRPURKHAS July 20. A married woman was electrocuted at village Allahdino Shar, near Sindhri town on Monday. Report said that Musamat Zarina Shar, 30, as touched the table fan that she suddenly sustained severe power shock. She was brought at emergency of civil hospital Mirpurkhas where doctor pronounced her death.

MIRPURKHAS July 20. Seven persons were seriously injured when two cars collided head on at Sim Nullah near Ratanabad here on Monday. Report said that two cars were collided head on as result seven persons sustained serious injuries. Two of the injured Allah Dino and Mohammad Afzal were brought at civil hospital where first aid was given them and they were admitted in the surgical ward while five of the injured whose name could not be ascertained were brought at Mohammad Medical college and hospital where they were provided medical treatment .

MIRPURKHAS July 20. District and sessions Judge Mirpurkhas has awarded life imprisonment to accused Saifur Rehman Nohri and Akram Nohri here on Monday in the Narcotic case. Report said that Phuladyyoon police had lodged the narcotic case against them in 2007.

MIRPURKHAS July 20. DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon has visited the different towns and cities of the district and directed the TMOs to make immediately arrangements to drain out the stagnant rainy water from the cities and towns and provide better civic facilities. According to a handout issued here on Monday, He said that a flood emergency camp has been setup in the district Mirpurkhas which phone number is 9290071-2, while the masses should contact on these numbers for solutions of their grievances if they faced the hardships. He said that breach that had been developed in Sim Nullah in Deh 321, taluka Kot Ghulam Mohammad have been plunged by DDO revenue KGM Aamir Khatak with the help of local people as result no loss of live and property was occurred. He said that control room and emergency cell have been setup in DCO office Mirpurkhas. He said that DDO revenue and Mukhtiarkar of each taluka have been bound to make better arrangements fordraining out the stagnant rainy water and remained in contact with masses .

MIRPURKHAS July 19. Meeting of taluka Municipal administration Mirpurkhas was held here on Saturday in convener ship of Naib taluka nazim Shafique Ahmed in which meeting approved the matters of disputed plots of Kachchiabadi of Bhansinghabad and asked the incharge regulation branch to complete the legal requirements of the disputed matter of the plots sothat hindrance for their proper registration might be ended. Meeting discussed the matter of Gulshan Mustafa housing scheme. Farooque Ahmed belong to Muttehda Quami Movement and Noman Halepota of Awam Dost Panel have opposed the approval of a part of this scheme comprising 28 acres and 17 Ghuntas land in which 400 plots are of D grade. They said that regulation branch has not yet been briefed thoroughly to the members of the council while TMA should approve the whole housing scheme comprising over 90 acres at a time instead to approve it in parts. They said that plot holders of other parts would bedeprived of their rights if the council approved it’s a part for issuing allotments and NOC for registration of the plots. They said that without briefing to thecouncil this matter should not be approved. They further said that Incharge regulation branch Abdul Rehman told the meetings that this residential scheme comprised total 1170 plots and all the plots had been given to the people under process in past but plot holders are deprived of allotments orders and registry of their plots. Convenor Shafique Ahmed said that legal formality had been completed of phase 1 of this scheme, while 400 plot holders are deprived of allotment orders and registration of their plots due to non completion of the legal formality. He said that in past council had discussed this residential scheme for giving the allotment orders and issuance of NOC and imposing fee of RS 10000 per plot for issuance of allotment orders and NOC that would be expended on the development works of this residential scheme. Members Farooque Ahmed of Haq Parast panel, Noman Halepota and two other members of Awam Dost Panel have boycotted the meeting. Whilemeeting approved to issue the allotment orders and NOC for plots of Phase 1 of this scheme with majority of the votes. Later, meeting was postponed.


MIRPURKHAS July 19. An aged woman who had been seriously injured and died after falling from first floor of the private Saint Treasa hospital (American hospital) Mirpurkhas was laid to rest in ancestral graveyard Chatori, near Sindhri on Saturday night. The deceased Mrs Sain , 65, wife of Haji Ali Dino Shar, resident of Haji Bhagyo Khan Shar was the mother of Wazeer Shar, SHO taluka Mirpurkhas , while she went to meet with a patient in the above hospital at first floor in general ward where on Friday night she opened a door for entering into the bathroom that suddenly she fell down from first floor as there was not floor or bath room on the other side of that door, she sustained serious injuries, after which she was died of serious wounds in the way to Hyderabad. The incident took place allegedly due to serious negligence of hospital administration , lower staff of the hospital told that this door was remained close but due to unknown causes its lock was missing and deceased woman opened this door to enter into the bath room that she fell down from first floor as there was no bath room even floor . When tried to get comments of the administrative lady officer who was not available here for last two days. Lower staff told that for this incident administrative lady officer could give comments or brief while she lived at Sanghar town and come here daily from Sanghar.

MIRPURKHAS July 19. People have faced great hardships due to suspension of power supply to large area of lower Sindh for eight hours on Saturday night. Report said that power supply was suspended from Hyderabad for Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Tharparkar and other areas of the lower Sindh on Saturday night at 10.30 PM that was restored on Sunday morning at 6 AM. Whole night mostly people including women and children remained sleepless. While Water supply was disrupted to the towns, cities and villages from water supply schemes due to power failure as result people faced hardships to acquire the required water. Indoor patients in civil hospitals, taluka hospitals and rural health centers have suffered with power off.Hesco officials told that power supply was suspended from Hyderabad.

MIRPURKHAS July 18. Intermittent rainfall continued in the city and its outskirts areas here on Saturday as result low lying areas were inundated under the rainy water while the rainy water was also standed at the roads and streets of the city. Report said that rainfall started with heavy lighting and voices on late Friday night that remained yet continue intermittently. As the first drop fell, power supply was suspended to the city and other areas of the district, after which cities and villages plunged into darkness. Following rainfall temperature was decreased and people expressed their happiness as people including youth and children came out of their houses to enjoy the rainfall. Electricity wires at different places in the city and its outskirts areas were broken during the rainfall as result power supply of various areas might not be restored till filing of the news. Senatory staffs of the TMA Mirpurkhas were missing from their duties as manycitizen made complaints to TMA Mirpurkhas regarding unsanitary condition of their areas. Vice president Mirpurkhas Sindh abadgar board chapter Haji Abdul Ghafoor Maher , talking to this scribe said that there was acute need of rainfall in this region including Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Sanghar and Tharparkar as these districts were in tail of the Nara canal and acute shortage of irrigation water was persisting here since three months . He further said that standed cotton and chili crops particularly were destroying due to absence of irrigation water but now as the rainfall started and growers are happy to this rainfall that is at the time of its requirement. Hide and seek of power was continued in the Mirpurkhas and other towns and cities of the district. However no rain related incident was reported till filing of this news

MIRPURKHAS July 17. A protest rally was taken out by Farmers organization council FOC Sindh here on Friday from railway station chowk to protest against the so-called activists of human rights organizations damaging the agriculture sector of this region on the pretext of so-called fake jail issue of peasants. Protesters led by chairman FOC Javed Ahmed Junejo, carried banners and placards marched through main roads. Hundreds of farmers and landlords participated in the protest rally. They also raised slogans against the so-called human rights activists and reached at local press club where speaking at the protesters Javed Junejo, Mohammad Ali Baloch, Afzal Maher and others accused that so-called comrade and activists of Human rights organizations are destroying the agriculture of this region of lower Sindh including Mirpurkhas, Umerkot , Badin and Sanghar districts except other districts of Sindh . They claimed that there was no private jail in thisregion but unfortunately under a deep conspiracy, issue of private jail is being raised through human rights activists to damage the agriculture of this region while there was already persisting acute shortage of water and crisis of power as result landlords and growers are facing hardships to cultivate crops at their lands. They expressed that peasants are taken advance money from landlord and instead to reduce their debt of landlord by hardworking, they are making the fake issue of private jail as they were being misused by so-called human rights activists. They said that peasants are taken lakhs of rupees as advance then they went to court for getting rid from dept of landlord after being convinced by activists of human rights . They demanded the government to take immediate notice into this matter, take action against such so-called human rights activists and save the agriculture of this region by affective measures to clear the issue of fakeprivate jail in this region.

MIRPURKHAS July 17. Additional sessions Judge Mirpurkhas ii, has been ordered to free the 22 recovered peasants including women and children and also allowed them to go anywhere with their wishes, after recording their statements here on Friday. Report said that few days ago after receiving the application regarding the detention of the 22 peasants in the illegal confinement of landlord Haji Maqbool Jatt, in deh 302, taluka Kot Ghulam Mohammad, court ordered the SHO Kot Ghulam Mohammad to carry out raid and recover the detained peasants. SHO KGM conducted raid at the spot and confiscated the 22 peasants including women and children and produced them before the sessions Judge.

MIRPURKHAS July 16. On the call of banned religious party, complete shutter down strike was observed here on Thursday to protest against the target killing of Hafiz Ahmed Bux advocate, leader of banned religious party at Karachi. All the markets, bazaars and shopping centers including Khisak Pura, Shahi bazaar, M.A.Jinnah road, police shopping center, Municipal shopping center, Mirwah road, Jameel Shaheed road, electronic market, cloth market, Hilal market, grain market, Sir Syed road, Gharibabad road, Umerkot road, ring road, Hameed pur colony road, Hirabad, Iqbal road, Bhansinghabad , Satellit town etc remained closed . Police have detained the 12 activists of religious party in charges of forcing the shopkeepers to pull down their shutters. Strict security arrangements were made on this occasion, as personnels were deployed at sensitive places, main chowks, roads, and entry and exit ways of the city to keep strict watch on the miscreants. People facedhardships to get fuel as petrol pumps and CNG filling stations services remained also suspended. Traffic was thin in the city while transports were also thin at their routs as result people faced hardships to go to their destinations. Owing to short traffic, youths were playing cricket at the roads and in streets of the city . Presence of government employees remained short in government offices. Panic remained spread in the city whole day. Police patrolling was also intensified. However no untoward incident reported till filing of the news.

MIRPURKHAS July 16. Director human rights board Mirpurkhas and district and sessions Judge Mirpurkhas has ordered to release the 40 recovered peasants including 23 children here on Thursday after listening them. Report said that on July 14, 2009, Chehro Kolhi, resident of Kot Ghulam Mohammad taluka had submitted an application in which complained that his relatives 40 peasants were detained in illegal confinement of landlord Afzal Maher at village Seth Ghani Maher , taluka Kot Ghulam Mohammad while forced labour work was being taken them for last two years in illegal detention . Sessions Judge ordered the SHO Kot Ghulam Mohammad police to carry out raid and recover the detained peasants. Implementing on the order, SHO KGM conducted the raid at the above village and recovered the 40 peasants including 23 children from illegal captivity , while police produced them in the sessions court that ordered to free them and asked the police to provide protectionthem till their going to their destination with their willing .

MIRPURKHAS July 16. Hundreds of enraged hesco consumers of Satellite town have allegedly attacked at the office of Hesco Satellite town sub division here on Thursday after failure of the hesco officials to repair the faulty power transformer despite passing three days. Report said that enraged consumers entered into the office of Hesco Satellite town sub division and ransacked the furniture beated few employees while mostly employees escaped away from there to save their lives. Mostly protesters carrying sticks damaged the furniture rasied slogans against the concerned staff. They on this occasion complained that their transformer was bursted due to overloading and despite passing three days concerned officials remained fail to repair the faulty transformer as result they were deprived of power supply since three days causing great hardships. They demanded the hesco higher authorities to take immediate notice into this matter and punished the responsibleofficials’ exemplary. Later, some employees reached there and convinced the protesters that very soon, their transformer will start function on which they dispersed. Meanwhile, Scores of enraged people of Rahim Nagar have held protest demonstration at Mirwah road in Bhansinghabad to protest against the prolong power failure in their area. Protesters burnt the old tyres and created hurdles as result traffic was suspended for an hour. Protesters told the media men that their transformer was bursted due to overloading but unfortunately that was not repaired despite passing 12 hours as result they were facing great hardships. Later, Satellite town police reached there who convinced them to disperse peacefully as their power supply will soon be restored.

MIRPURKHAS July 16. DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon has said that three day polio eradication campaign will be launched in the district from July 20, as directives have been issued to concerned staff to complete their arrangements in this regard. Talking to newsmen here on Thursday, he said that 6 cases of polio disease had yet been appeared in the Sindh province. He told that polio vaccine will be administered to the under five years children total 246395 in the district during this campaign while 38 zonal supervisors, 150 area incharges, 715 vaccine teams , 548 mobile teams , 67 transit points 101 fixed teams and 315 lady health workers would take part to make successful this campaign. He said that announcement for this campaign would be made from mosques and religious places daily. He further said that all the doctors had been directed to go into their areas to apprise the people about this campaign.

Zila Naib Nazim Mirpurkhas Dr Zafar Ahmed Kamali said that in past Shia Sunni clashes were occurred particularly on occasion of Moharram but Muttehda Quami Movement has created brotherhood and unity among the people of both sects and ended their differences by holding meetings with their leaders. He said that each year, Muttehda workers and office bearers were also paid their duties in Moharram to provide the security to the people along with law enforcing agencies in the country. He said that Muttehda Quami Movement was working for downtrodden people in the country without any discrimination as result people were attracting to join the MQM in large quantity throughout country. Those also spoke the conference divisional president Moulana Aijaz Ali Sanjrani, Moulana Abid Raza Irfani, Moulana Zia Haider Naqvi and Sajjad Rind. MIRPURKHAS July 15. Light rainfall hit the city and its outskirts areas after a long hot spell here on Wednesday as result temperature was decreased while people particularly youths have expressed their happiness over the rainfall. Shops in Khisak Pura and Shahi Bazaar were closed as the rainfall started. After 15 to 20 minutes rainfall stopped. Owing to prolong severe hot spell, people were praying with God for rainfall. It may be recalled that irrigation water shortage is already persisting in this region and cultivated cotton and other crops were damaging without water as result growers are already praying with God for rainfall as there was acute need of rainfall for this region particularly for standed crops.

MIRPURKHAS July 15. 10 hours day night long load shedding is continued in the city and its outskirts areas causing great difficulties to the people while officials were directed by hesco chief to make load shedding 6 hours in the cities and 8 hours in rural areas. Report said that water shortage is also continued in the city due to frequent power failure and civil hospital administration was suspended the emergency operations due to power off. Businessmen had suffered big losses due to power failure as business activities are adversely affecting owing to power outages. Various areas of the city are facing shortage of water including Pak colony, Rajar colony, Ghosia colony, Murtuza town, Siaal colony, Nawab colony, Adam town, Gharibabad, Khad plot etc owing to frequent power failure. Ex vice president Mirpurkhas chamber of commerce and industry Abdul Majeed Shaikh has strongly condemned the hesco officials who are making load shedding of 10 hours insteadof 6 hours in the city. He demanded the hesco authorities to take immediate notice and implement on 6 hours load shedding in the city and announced its programme for citizens.

Lanse Naik of 11th Sindh Rigment, Mohammad Shareef who had been martyrd during fighting with armed militants in South Waziristan was buried at ancestral graveyard of village Kharo Bajeer, taluka Mithi, district Tharparkar on monday evening with complete Military award.After his burial, Sindh Rigment troops have given Salami and military officers also laid flower wreath on his grave on this occassion.

MIRPURKHAS July 14. An excise inspector of Mirpurkhas excise and taxation department was booked by Satellite town police in charges of creating riot in drunken condition here on late Monday night. Report said that excise inspector Qasim Raho in drunken condition used abusive languages and created uproar particularly with a person Mushtaque in Bhansinghabad area as result Satellite town police arrested him and taken him to civil hospital for medical checkup where after medical check up found in drunken condition on which police lodged the case under section 11 PHO against him on the complaint of Mushtaque. Accused above excise inspector was produced before the civil judge and judicial magistrate Mirpurkhas here on Monday morning by police for police remand but court sent him to district prison for 14 days judicial remand.

Haq Parast MPA Fahim Ahmed Altafi, taluka Nazim Mirpurkhas Ghulam Dastageer Kamali and Zila Naib Nazim Mirpurkhas Dr Zafar Ahmed Kamali have said that Haq Parast leadership under the directives of it’s Quaid Altaf Hussain, have been working for the development of the downtrodden people of the country and added that old demand of Mirpurkhas has now been fulfilled by establishing of University campus at Mirpurkhas as about 31700 girls and boys students of Mirpurkhas and its neighbors districts each year had been left their education after intermediate owing to not being the university near Mirpurkhas region while some students were taken adminissions in the different universities of the Sindh province. They were addressing at a joint press conference here on Tuesday. They further said that Mirpurkhas educational board was established in 2004 with hectic efforts of the Haq Parast leadership and on occasion of its inauguration GovernorSindh Dr Ishratul Abad Khan had announced to establish university campus at Mirpurkhas. They said that academic council of Sindh University Jamshoro has been approved 17 departments for university campus at Mirpurkhas and added that in coming educational year after result of intermediate classes regular admissions would be started in five different department including commerce, information technology, mathematics, geology and business administration under programme BS-4 year. They said that more departments would be setup gradually in the university campus Mirpurkhas . they expressed that it was the great efforts of Governor Sindh as well as Muttehda leader Altaf Hussain to establish the university campus at Mirpurkhas and now in which girls and boys students without discrimination could take admissions for their higher education nearly to their houses. They further said that classes would be started in the building situated in premises of GovernmentShah Abdul Lateef science college Mirpurkhas on temporary basis and as its building would be completed then classes would be held in proper building of the university campus Mirpurkhas here.

MIRPURKHAS July 14. A married woman has committed suicide by taking pesticide at village Dr Yar Mohammad Jinjhi in the limit of Old Mirpur police station here on Tuesday. Report said that Ms Ganga, 25, wife of Jalal Bheel, was brought in emergency ward of civil hospital Mirpurkhas after consuming the pesticide while she was died after some time. Cause behind her suicide is said to be domestic affair. Her body was later handed over to her heirs after legal formality.

MIRPURKHAS July 14. A villager was killed and another injured by unknown armed assailants at Phuladyyoon town on Tuesday. Report said that unknown person opened fires on Haider Ali Mari and Inayat Mari as result Haider Ali Mari was killed on the spot while Inayat Mari sustained serious wounds. Body and injured were rushed to taluka hospital Khipro where injured was admitted. While the body of the deceased was handed over later to his heirs after post mortum. However no case was lodged with concerned police station till filing of this news.

MIRPURKHAS July 14. EDO education Mirpurkhas Abdul Majeed Hur has been ordered an inquiry into the matter of non recovery of registration/renewal fee and inspection of private schools pertaining to the office of DOE academic and training Mirpurkhas and appointed an inquiry committee comprising Ghulam Nabi Sahar, DOE literacy Mirpurkhas, Mohammad Mian, deputy district officer sports Mirpurkhas and Naseeruddin Siddique, deputy district officer education secondary and higher secondary Mirpurkhas and asked to submit him inquiry report within a week. EDO education Mirpurkhas Abdul Majeed Hur told the correspondent that he had been received oral complaints regarding corruption in recovery of registration/renewal fee of about 143 private primary, middle and high schools of Mirpurkhas on which for finding facts he has been ordered the inquiry. He further said that after receiving the inquiry report he will take strict legal action against the involvedofficials.

Meanwhile, provincial coordinator social welfare department Sindh Dr Badar Jamil Mendhro has issued an order recently under which declared with competent authority the election of the NGO “Sindh Para medical staff welfare association Karachi held at Karachi on 9th June 2009 annulled. According to his order, he added that election of the NGO Sindh Para medical staff welfare association Karachi got held by Mohammad Musharraf and Ikhlaq Ahmed are treated arbitrary and can not be accepted for the following grounds as violation of article -6(A) of the constitution (eligibility for membership), appointment of election committee contrary to the provision of article 11(2) of the approved constitution, Mohammad Musharraf and others who in the recent past were found involved in maladministration in conducting the affairs were debarred by the board of voluntary agencies as per decision taken in its meeting held on Jan 11 2005 from taking part in the ensuingelections. Therefore, in view of the manipulation and violation of the voluntary social welfare agencies (registration and control) ordinance 1961), rules 1962 and approved / registered constitution of the association, declared the election as annulled.

MIRPURKHAS July 13. Two officials of National bank of Pakistan Jhuddo branch have been suspended while manager has also been transferred as punishment following being a fraud of RS 33 lakhs in the branch. Official sources said that few weeks ago, cashier of the above branch Mohammad Haneef Kaim Khani had allegedly been committed fraud of RS 33 lakhs on which a team of the National bank conducted inquiry and suspended two responsible officials including cashier Mohammad Haneef Kaim Khani and Officer Ghulam Haider Lashari. While manager of the branch Abdul Rasheed Chandio was also transferred to NBP branch Mithi, district Tharparkar as punishment. Sources further told that after forcing the responsible officials of the bank by inquiry team, required RS 33 lakhs were later deposited in the bank record.

MIRPURKHAS July 13. Ms Hina Talpure, 19, d/o Mohammad Bux Talpure, resident of Mir Shehzad Talpure village , who had been recovered in the raid of town police three days back from Karachi from the possession of Mohammad Zubair son of Noor Mohammad Rind, has recorded her statement under section 164 Cr.PC before the civil judge and judicial magistrate Mirpurkhas 1, here on Monday in which she denied of her kidnapping and said that she went along with Mohammad Zubair with her wishes and she had been married with him even she is pregnant. She requested the court to provide police protection to her and her husband for going safely to their destination. Mohammad Zubair, who was arrested by town police from Karachi was on the five days police remand was also brought in the court and in the light of her statement, Mohammad Zubair was freed. Court ordered to go her with her husband and ordered the police to provide them police protection. Later on their willing,both Ms Hina Talpure and her husband Mohammad Zubair left the court for Karachi in heavy police escorting. Ms Hina Talpure is belonging to influential Talpure family. Police told that she had been missing for last two months during this she had been married with Mohammad Zubair Rind. Mohammad Bux Talpure had been lodged the case under section 365 PPC with town police station on June 15, 2009 in which accused that three unknown persons had been abducted his daughter Ms Hina Talpure on gun point from his house.

MIRPURKHAS July 12. President Asif Ali Zardari had been approved a suigas project for Kot Ghulam Mohammad town, Kot Mirus , Mir Ki Landhi and other surrounding villages after the request of MNA Mir Munawar Ali Talpure. In this connection officers of sui southern gas company have visited the Kot Ghulam Mohammad town along with DDO revenue Kot Ghulam Mohammad , Aamir Khattak and examined the government land about 5 acres lying near the Kot Ghulam Mohammad town for installation of modern suigas project . When contacted DCO Mirpurkhas told this scribe that about RS 70 crors would be expended on this project by which suigas might be supplied to KGM town, Kot Mirus, Mir Ki Landhi and other surrounding villages. He said that about 5 acres government land had been handed over to sui southern gas company SSGC near KGM town for installation of this suigas project. He said that work on this project will soon be started there.

MIRPURKHAS July 12. Town police have produced the arrested accused of kidnapping case in the court of special judicial magistrate Mirpurkhas who granted his five days police remand here on Sunday. It may be recalled that two days back town police carried out raids on a tip off at Karachi and apprehended the accused Mohammad Zubair son of Noor Mohammad Rind and recovered from his possession abductee girl Ms Hina Talpure, 18, d/o Mohammad Bux Talpure, resident of village Mir Shehzad Talpure. Police brought both the accused and recovered girl here from Karachi and got medical checkup of the recovered girl in civil hospital Mirpurkhas where woman medical officer Dr Tulsee conducted her medical checkup. Learnt that recovered victim girl is belonging to influential Talpure family. Mohammad Bux Talpure had lodged the case under section 365 Pakistan Panel code on June 15, 2009 with town police station, accusing that three unknown persons came to his house andforcibly abducted his daughter Ms Hina Talpure, 18, on gun point. Police told that medical checkup report of the victim girl has not yet been received while victim girl will be produced in the court of the judicial magistrate on Monday for recording her statement under section 164 Cr.pc.

Mirpurkhas board of intermediate and secondary education has been announced the annual result of secondary school certificate SSC part ii (class X) science group 2009 here on Saturday. Controller BISE Mirpurkhas Abdul Rahim Shaikh has announced the result as according to result, Fatima Zainab d/o Ghulam Haider Khan of St. Michael convent high school Mirpurkhas secured first position by getting 829 marks. Ahmer Hameed s/o Abdul Hameed of cadet college Sanghar and Ms Hafsa Ali Shamsi d/o Mohammad Ali Shamsi of Memon academy higher secondary school Shahdadpur with 820 marks each shared second position. Bharat Kumar son of Suresh Kumar of little Folks higher secondary school Mirpurkhas and Masab Fazal S/o Fazal Elahi of cadet college Sanghar with 819 marks each shared third position. In boys, Ahmer Hameed s/o Abdul Hameed of cadet college Sanghar secured first position by obtaining 820 marks. Total 23307 candidates male and female appeared in the annual exam in which 21632 candidates declared pass. Besides, 2591 girls and boys candidates get A-1 grade, 5701 candidates obtained grade A, 7072 candidates achieved grade B, 5158 candidates secured grade C, 1104 candidates gained grade D and only 6 candidates obtained grade E. such 92.87 percentage of success remained in the annual exam.

Provincial minister for information Shazia Atta Mari has said that education is the basic need for the progress of the country so teachers should give proper attention to pay their proper duty to learn the children specially and added that negligence of any teacher will not be tolerate. He was speaking at the gathering at his ancestral Berani town after inauguration of her personal Rabita office there. According to a handout issued here on Saturday. She said that we would not allow to anyone to dissolve our rights and directed the TMO Jam Nawaz Ali to make better cleanliness system in Berani town. She said that present government is the Amami government and it is already known the problems of the masses that were being resolved gradually. She directed the officers of Hesco, education, irrigation department and others to give more than attention to resolve the grievances of the masses. On the complaints of Hesco, she asked the officersto bound the meter readers to take correct reading instead of sending inflated bills to the consumers. She asked the staff of her Rabita office to submit her people complaints till tomorrow Sunday and announced that she will hear the grievances of the masses each month in her Rabita office. On this occasion, she received the applications and ordered on the spot on them. She, later, went to village Ibrahim Mari and condoled with heirs of Rabo Mari and also went to village Abdul Rahim Mari and condoled with Abdul Rahim Mari on the sad demise of his son Khair Mohammad Mari.
MIRPURKHAS July 11. Hundreds of residents of Gulshan colony and Sattar Nagar , union council no 8, have held protest demonstration and blocked the main Mirpurkhas Mirwah road near water supply scheme Satellite town to protest against not supply of water since a week. Protesters led by Nadeem Shamsi Abbasi, Mohammad Akram and Kamaluddin have blocked the main Mirpurkhas Mirwah road by creating hurdles as result traffic was suspended for two hours. They burnt also tyres and raised slogans against the TMA Mirpurkhas. Talking to newsmen, protesters accused that their areas including Gulshan colony and Sattar Nagar were deprived of water supply since a week as result even deprived of drinking water and had been compelled to bring the drinking water from far flung areas . They complained that despite repeated complaints no authority was ready to give attention on their problems. During this heavy contingents of police were reached at the spot while Nazim u.c.no 7, Mujeebul Haq reached at the spot, negotiated with the representatives of the protesters and assured them that water supply will soon be start in their areas on which they dispersed peacefully.

MIRPURKHAS July 11. A teenager young boy was seriously injured with firing in a marriage ceremony at Hameed Pura colony here on Friday late night. Report said that marriage ceremony of son of Master Iqbal was continued that few armed persons resorted aerial firing during this one of the teenager young boy Taimoor ,18, son of Riaz Ahmed sustained serious bullet injuries , rushed to emergency of civil hospital Mirpurkhas where the was provided first aid . Hundreds of youths and area people gathered in the hospital after this incident. Later the injured was referred for civil hospital Karachi due to his serious condition. It may be recalled that in past also various persons had been killed and injured in firing incidents in the marriage ceremonies but local police remained yet fail to stop such kind of incident. However, no case of this incident was lodged with town police station till filing of this news.

MIRPURKHAS July 11. A rally was taken out by Population welfare department Mirpurkhas here on Saturday from railway station chowk to mark the world population day. Participators led by EDO health Dr Khadim Hussain Lakhair , carried placards and banners marched through main roads and reached at local press club, where speaking at the participators, EDO health Dr Khadim Hussain Lakhiar said that we could control the growing crime , unemployment, poverty etc by better family planning and there was need of better family planning for fruitful life and added that owing to more than birth of children their education, food, health and other necessary need were adversely affected so people should implement on the policy of two children for their better future. District officer population welfare Mir Farman Ali Talpure and civil surgeon Dr Asghar Arain said that more than problems had been created in the country owing to growing population.

MIRPURKHAS July 10. Jamaat e Islami Mirpurkhas has held Protest demonstration here on Friday after Jumma prayer outside the Madina Masjid to protest against increasing the price of petroleum production in the country. Protesters led by Ameer JI Mirpurkhas Zafar Iqbal Mujahid, carried banners and placards, raised slogans against the government. Speaking at the protesters, Zafar Iqbal Mujahid said that judiciary had given decision to decrease the price of petroleum production to give relief to the masses as result petroleum production’s rates were decreased for a day and then rulers who had raised slogans to give Roti, Kapra aur Makan to the masses did not tolerate it and increased the price of petroleum production on the pretext of carbon tax. He deplored that after increasing the petroleum production, rates of other essential commodities would be increased as result poor masses would suffer its additional burdon. He appealed the president Asif AliZardari to review his decision. Naib Ameer JI Mirpurkhas Azizur Rehman also spoke.


MIRPURKHAS July 10. Scores of tail end farmers of Thar tail distributary that was fed by Thar canal have held protest demonstration here on Friday outside the local press club to protest against authorities’ failure to reach the irrigation water till tail of the distributary and corruption of irrigation officials. Protesters led by Syed Jalal Shah, Wahid Dino Palli, Faiz Mohammad Palli and Yousuf Chachar have blocked also the main Hyderabad Mirpurkhas road , while carrying banners and placards, raised slogans against the SDO irrigation Imam Bux and demanded the government to immediately suspend the SDO Imam Bux and concerned darogah Mohammad Palli as accusing that they were allowing the landlords of head of the distributary to temper their water courses. Talking to media men, they alleged that irrigation officials are allegedly receiving gratification for providing relief of 5 to8 decimal in the water courses of head of the distributary. They said thattheir crops in tail were destroyed due to non availability of irrigation water even facing shortage of drinking water for last a month . They further accused that officials had themselves fixed the illegal pipe in the distributary for water stealing. They urged the higher authorities to take immediate notice, order impartial inquiry and ensure proper water supply till tail end abadgars.

MIRPURKHAS July 9. Sindh chief minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has directed that those health facilities are available at big hospitals of Karachi and Hyderabad be provided to all district headquarter hospitals and other hospitals of the province sothat free of cost health facilities might be provided to the poors according to promise of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazeer Bhutto. This was stated by Dr Abdul Sattar Korai, director general health services, presiding over a high level meeting held here on Thursday that was attended by EDO health Dr Khadim Hussain Lakhair, civil surgeon Dr Asghar Arain, EDOs works and services, revenue and consultants. Director General told the meeting that on the directives of Sindh chief minister, all the district headquarters’ hospitals have been upgraded by formation of Sindh health advisory board in the supervision of Sindh chief minister for providing all quality health facilities. He added that secretary health and directorgeneral health are also included in that board along with 10 other members who would brief the Sindh chief minister each week about the project. He said that civil hospital Mirpurkhas is also included in that master plan project under which construction of new wards in the hospital, repair of present structure , providing medicines, appointments of doctors and para medical staff, senatory system , water supply and green belt like programme are included in this project. However, he said that owing to less land of the hospital, some hurdles are being faced to completely implement on this project. He expressed that if the district government is provided the 20 acres land then Sindh government is ready to establish a modern district headquarter hospital along with residential bunglows and also appoint doctors and staff. He said that district nazims of Tandoallahyar, Badin and other districts have provided land free of cost for implimention on this project.DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon told that required land was not with district government however, if the Sindh government is provided the money then district government might give the land for this project by purchasing private land. He expressed that we would held meeting with philanthropists of the district sothat land might be acquired free of cost. He directed the EDO revenue to submit him report within two days regarding availability of government land in Mirpurkhas. Civil surgeon Dr Asghar Arain said that buildings of OPD, old Nursing hostel and eye ward had been dilapidated and their new buildings might be constructed after demolishing them. He added that hospital land might be extended by removing the bunglow of civil surgeon and its adjacent quarters in the hospital but provide new residential places by new construction at new places. Later, DCO and director general have visited the civil hospital and different lands for construction of thedistrict headquarter hospital.
MIRPURKHAS July 9. A married woman was seriously injured when her neighbors attacked upon her with sticks at village Nizamuddin, Deh 381, taluka Mirpurkhas here on Thursday morning. Report said that Mrs Aasia was working outside her house that after hot words exchanging her neighbors attacked upon her as result she sustained serious head injuries, rushed to emergency of civil hospital Mirpurkhas where she was provided first aid and then admitted in surgical ward. While taluka police have lodged the non cognizable report of Mohammad Anwer, husband of injured against the accused Siddique Dogar, Ashraf and others.

MIRPURKHAS July 8. Arrangements to construct the two way main Mirpurkhas Hyderabad high way road are continued by district administration Mirpurkhas as in this connection, DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon, presiding over a meeting here on Wednesday, directed the concerned officers to install the electricity poles, sui gas line and Telephone poles away from the limit of two way Hyderabad Mirpurkhas high way road for which President Asif Ali Zardari had already been directed to implement on this project of two way Hyderabad Mirpurkhas high way road . He said that traffic problems including chances of accidents would be decreased after installation of above poles and suigas line away from the jurisdiction of above two way high way road. DCO asked the officers to submit him expenses report of shifting the above poles and suigas line away from the above two way road while added that government would suffer the above expenses. Officers ensured the meetingthat all electricity and telephone poles and suigas line would be shifted away from the limit of two way highway road. Those attended the meeting including XEN Hesco Mirpurkhas Mohammad Saleem Jatt, Engineer sui southern gas company Mirpurkhas Habib Hussain Leghari, engineer telephone department, D.O road , EDO revenue Mohammad Bachal Rahepota and DPO Mirpurkhas Muneer Ahmed Shaikh .
MIRPURKHAS July 8. Motor vehicle incharge of excise and taxation department Mirpurkhas Abdullah Narejo has said that RS 8.150 millions have been recovered more than last year recovery incase of motor vehicle tax that is the record of district Mirpurkhas. Talking to local newsmen here on Wednesday, he said that RS 12.602 millions were recovered in account of motor vehicle tax in 2007-08 but this year, due to hectic efforts of motor vehicle staff, RS 20.717 millions were recovered in the district that was also appreciated by local excise and taxation officers. He advised particularly owners of the motor bikes to pay their dues of motor vehicle tax as well as register their bikes without any delay to save themselves from difficulties. He added that local police have also cooperated in this regard as they also forced the vehicle owners to pay their excise dues otherwise their vehicles would be detain till clearance of their excise dues.

MIRPURKHAS July 8. Hundreds of residents of Bhansinghabad, Satellite town have held protest demonstration in Bhansinghabad at Mirwah road to protest against the frequent power failure and load shedding without any schedule here on Wednesday. Protesters carried sticks in their hands blocked the Mirwah road and burnt also tyres in the protest. They raised slogans against the hesco officials. Protesters complained with local journalists, accusing that except load shedding, hesco officials were suspending the power supply to the different feeders in the hesco Mirpurkhas division to cover the power theft. They deplored that hesco officials had been failed to stop the power stealing as result they were over charging in the bills from hesco consumers on the base of different pretext . They regretted that power supply was suspended even in hot day night as result consumers facing hardships. They said that they were facing 12 hours day night power off in thedistrict. They demanded the hesco chief to take immediate notice, reduce the time of load shedding and ensure proper power supply to save the consumers from hardships.

MIRPURKHAS July 7. Token hunger strike was observed by Sunni Tehreek Mirpurkhas here on Tuesday at Market chowk to protest against the police failure to nab the nominated accused of the murder case of Ajmal Qadri, a worker of Sunni Tehreek Mirpurkhas. Dozens of workers and office bearers of Sunni Tehreek including Abdul Lateef Qadri, Sohail Nizami, Faheemuddin, Anjum, Iltimas Sabir Qadri etc observed the token hunger strike. Speaking on this occasion, leader Iltimas Sabir Qadri said that three months back, terrorists had killed the innocent worker of Sunni Tehreek Ajmal Qadri, while Mirpurkhas police despite nominating the names of the accused in the FIR of murder case remained yet fail to nab them. He demanded the president of Pakistan, prime minister, chief justice of Pakistan and Sindh home minister to immediately take notice of negligence of Mirpurkhas police and ensure arresting of the nominated accused of the murder case otherwise circle of protest would be extended till throughout province.





MIRPURKHAS July 7. OPD in T.B. hospital Mirpurkhas be increased after repairs of its building sothat more than services of the poors might be made. Rs 2 lakhs would be given to T.B association Mirpurkhas as grant on behalf of district government Mirpurkhas. This was stated by DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon, while presiding over a meeting of executive committee of district TB association Mirpurkhas held here on Tuesday that was attended by EDO health Dr Khadim Hussain Lakhair, DDO revenue Ammara Aamir Khattak, S.A.Khan advocate, Sher Mohammad Wassan, Dr Mohammad Haneef, A.D.Lakho, Abdul Khalique Khan, DO social welfare Khair Mohammad Dahri, Ishaque Maher and other members. He said that it has been decided after taking the unanimous opinion from members of the committee that general ward would be established after the repair of the present building of TB hospital Mirpurkhas, while all necessary treatment facilities would be ensured in general ward.DCO said that a committee be constituted sothat it bound the TB specialists doctors for their regular duties to make more affective to this hospital. DCO said that rent of shops and flats of association would be increased according to law and announced to increase 15 percent salaries of staff of the association. On this occasion, member of the association Abdul Khalique Khan, who was also ex president of Mirpurkhas chamber of commerce and industry, has announced to give RS 50000 for the association. On this occasion, taluka Nazim Mirpurkhas Ghulam Dastageer Kamali has assured to cooperate for repair of the hospital and other expenses.
